The rest of the year went by and Christmas was nearing. More and more rules were made by Umbridge and the walls were running out of space for more. The DA meetings were going great so far, no one had snitched on us and Umbridge still hasn't found out.

We learned many different spells, starting with the disarming charm and then the levicorpus jinx. I even got the chance to teach everyone the protection charm, many didn't take it to their likings but were proud of themselves when they succeeded.

Recently, Umbridge announced the creation of the inquisitorial squad for extra credit. Draco and a couple other Slytherin students were quick to sign up with their new flashy badges. The inquisitorial squad was really created just to help Umbridge find out what Harry was up to.

Today was our last DA meeting before the Christmas break. The students were gathered around the room in a circle casting spells at the target dummy making it bounce back and fourth.

"Working hard is important. But there's something that matters even more, believing in yourself. Think of it this way, every great wizard in history has started out as nothing more than what we are now. Students. If they can do it, why not us?" Harry said encouraging everyone.

"Stupefy!"

"Expelliarmus!"

"Reducto!" Ginny casted her spell destroying the target dummy into dust. We all looked at her surprised wondering how she did that. I remembered back in our second year when she casted the reductor spell on me in the library under the imperious curse. Maybe that had something to do with how good she was with these spells.

"Why don't we get in pairs and practice before we call it a day?" Harry broke the silence. The students fell into chatters once again getting into pairs. I paired up with Neville to help him perform the disarming charm while Harry continued to walk around helping the others.

"Expelliarmus!" Neville pointed his wands at me but nothing happened.

"A little more on the wrist Neville, you got this"

He nodded pointing his wand at me again, "Expelliarmus!" My wand went flying into the air catching the other student's attention. A couple of the students gasped and I did too smiling at Neville.

"Well done Neville!" I rushed over to him along with many other students.

"Fantastic job Neville" Harry came around giving him a pat on the back.

"Thanks Evelyn" Neville said smiling at me.

"So, that's it for this lesson. We're not going to be meeting again till after the holidays, so just keep practicing on your own the best you can and well done everyone, great-great work" Harry said from the very front of the class as we all clapped. Hermione Ron and I walked up to stand next to him joining in on the clapping.

"Well done Harry" I leaned in to whisper to him.

"Thanks" He replied back without looking at me. His gaze was stuck on someone, Cho Chang. My smile quickly disappeared. Cho made her way towards the corner of the room- in front of a mirror, in front of Cedric's photo. I didn't understand why exactly she would do that.

"See you in the common room Harry" I said pulling Hermione out of the room as Ron followed.

"He definitely fancies Cho" Ron said as Hermione quickly nudged him.

"Yeah, I think so too" I smiled slightly.

"Oh- I forgot my books.. I didn't get a chance to grab everything because you pulled me out so fast Evelyn" Hermione sighed.

"Oh, don't worry I'll get it for you" I said stopping to turn back around.

"Are you sure? I can just go right now"

"Yeah I'm sure, don't worry" I smiled at her before walking back towards the room of requirements. I would get to see Harry anyway, I didn't mind that at all.

I opened the door just as Cho had leaned in to kiss Harry. There were mistletoe over them, it was magical. I quickly covered my mouth gasping drawing the two's attention towards me. I quickly felt my heart drop and I felt sick to the stomach.

"Evelyn I-"

"Sorry, I didn't mean to interrupt" I interrupted him walking back out of the room of requirements.

"Evelyn wait-" He ran out of the room following me grabbing my arm turning me around to face him.

"It's not what it looks like, Cho-"

"You don't have to explain to me Harry, I'm not your girlfriend. I'm happy for you but- our kiss back at Grimmauld Place meant something to me" I interrupted him once again smiling. Tears started to form in my eyes and Harry looked at me thrown back. I turned away slowly brushing his hand off of my arm walking fast away from him.

"Evelyn wait-"

I didn't turn back, instead I walked fast towards the one place I could think of right now, the astronomy tower. There at the balcony was Draco as always. I quickly rushed over towards him and he turned around looking at me surprised.

"Evelyn what happened?"

I didn't reply and just wrapped my arms around him hugging him, burying my head into his shoulders. His body tensed up but he slowly wrapped his arms around me as I cried into his shoulders.

"Why is it that whenever we meet, one of us is always not in a good mood?" Draco said, "Are you crying over Potter again?". I pulled back wiping off the tears from my face taking a deep breath not replying.

"Merlin, it is? Seriously Evelyn I expected better from you" He said furrowing his eyebrows at me.

"Sometimes I hate that boy" I looked away leaning on the balcony staring at the view.

"I hate that boy every time, saint potter" Draco spat.

"You're just jealous" I scoffed.

"Seriously Evelyn do you love or hate that boy"

"Bit of both at the moment... Also what's the deal with you and the inquisitorial squad?"

"I'm going to catch Potter with whatever he's up to. If you're a part of it you might as well stop"

I scoffed rolling my eyes and started to laugh. It was Draco's brain versus mine. Umbridge would never find out about the existence of the DA- unless someone snitches. If they do it'll be extremely easy to tell.

"I don't know if you're smart enough Draco" I turned to face him laughing.

"Definitely smart enough to catch Potter"

"Not when I'm helping him" I laughed again.

"What are you and Potter up to?" He furrowed his eyebrows.

"Up to no good"

"When are you two ever? But seriously Evelyn you need to stop. We're getting closer to catching you all"

"What's the worst that could happen if I get caught"

"Oh I don't know, getting expelled?" Draco scoffed again.

"She wouldn't dare. I'm still a Clermont even if the name was trashed to the ground. Besides, Dumbledore would not let Harry get expelled"

"Whatever Evelyn, she's not going to stop until she catches you. Once you do and she gives you detention I'll laugh"

"Go ahead Draco, I won't get caught. Even if I do, it'll be quite funny"

"Funny? What are you talking about?"

"You'll see when the time comes, and really you're right. We should be able to meet each other not only when one of us is in a bad mood"

I woke up from my sleep by the sound of people rushing in and out the common room. Hermione was already up biting her fingers walking around the girl's dormitories. It sounded quite chaotic outside.

"What's going on Hermione?" I asked rubbing my eyes sitting up straight on my bed.

"Harry, he had a dream where he saw Mr. Weasley get attacked in the Ministry by Voldemort's snake.

My eyes shot open and I was wide awake all of a sudden, "What?!"

"Profesor McGonagall just came in taking Harry, Ron, the twins and Ginny out to Dumbledore's office"

"You're joking"

"No I'm not! Worst part is Harry had been having similar dreams for the past month and Ron OR Harry didn't tell us" She said crossing her arms.

"Merlin's beard- When will Harry be back?"

"I don't know.. By the way, what happened between you and Harry? When he came back to the common room he looked so sad. He didn't even talk to Ron and I"

I fell into silence remembering walking inside the room to see Cho kiss Harry, "nothing, I have no idea" I sighed getting out of bed.

"Oh and did you get my book?"

"...It'll still be there when we return from Christmas break"

"Evelyn!" She slapped my shoulder.

"I'm sorry" I muttered rubbing my shoulder. She sighed grabbing my arm and pulled me out of the dormitories down to the common room. We sat down on the couch waiting for Harry just reading.

An hour or half later Harry came in. He was sweating and his breaths were super uneasy. He looked traumatized. He looked around the room looking at Hermione then fixing his eyes on me.

"Harry? What happened?" I asked as Hermione and I quickly got up rushing towards him. He didn't reply and continued to look at me directly in the eye not looking away. His breath started to slow down and he started to calm down a little.

"Snape is teaching me occlumency through legilimancy. He's been looking into my mind" He whispered taking a deep breath as Hermione and I looked at each other shocked.

"Where's Ron?" Hermione asked frantically.

"Left to see Mr. Weasley"

"Harry you look.. Terrible. Maybe you should get some sleep" I said placing my hand on his arms. His body quickly tensed up making me jump. He looked at me puzzled as I backed away little.

"Good night Harry" I smiled before rushing to turn away walking up the stairs back to the dormitories.
