《Elegance | Harry Potter》Year 5-6 | Dumbledore's Army (2)

We walked inside Hog's Head expecting maybe 10 people at the most. To our surprise however 25 people showed up. Although I'm sure not all of them were here solely because they wanted to learn. Cho definitely came for Harry and I recognized a Hufflepuff boy. Zacharias Smith, Cedric's best friend. He probably came to hear more about Cedric's death. Hermione Ron Harry and I were sitting at the very front while the 25 students stared waiting for one of us to say something.
"Uhm.. Hi," Hermione got up out of her seat nervously, "So we all know why we're here, we need a teacher. Proper, teacher. One who's had real experience defending themselves from the Dark Arts"
"Why?" Zacharias asked furrowing his eyebrows.
"Why? Because you know who's back you tosspot" Ron spat at him.
"So what he says"
"So what Dumbledore says" Hermione snapped back at him.
"So Dumbledore says because he says. The point is, where's the proof? Besides, how should we trust the daughter of a death eater?" Zacharias glared at me spitting the word death eater with disgust. I didn't look back at him, only looked at the ground. There is no reason to trust me, I don't either.
"Potter could tell us more about how Diggory got killed" A boy sitting next to Ginny said and everyone's eyes shifted towards Harry.
"I'm not going to talk about Cedric, if that's why you're here you might as well clear out now" Harry said standing up from his seat taking a deep breath and turning towards Hermione, "Come on Hermione let's go. To them I'm just some sort of freak"
"Is it true you can produce the patronus charm?" Luna asked. I looked back up at her giving her a smile and Harry seemed to calm down a little.
"Yes, I've seen it" Hermione replied.

"Blimey Harry, I didn't know you could do that" Dean said and a couple of student's eyes lit up.
"And he killed the basilisk in the Chamber of Secrets saving me from death" I said looking up to Harry giving him a slight smile. He looked down at me without returning the smile, he looked conflicted. "In his third year he fought hundreds of dementors with the patronus charm" I continued.
"Last year he really did fight you-know-who in the flesh" Hermione finished my sentence.
"Wait- look, it all sounds great when you say it like that but truth is, most of that was just luck. I didn't know what I was doing and I nearly always had help" Harry interrupted Hermione, his breath was getting uneasy.
"He's just being modest-"
"No Hermione, I'm not. Facing this stuff in real life is not like school. In school if you make a mistake you can just try again tomorrow but out there... When you're a second away from being murdered or watching a friend die before your eyes.. You don't know what it's like"
Many of the students had a sorrowful face, no one dared to say anything. I rubbed Harry's arm still sitting from beside him, he was tense. He sat down beside me again with his eyes glued onto the ground.
"You're right Harry, we don't. It's why we need your help. Because if we have any chance beating... Voldemort" Hermione said sitting down beside him. Ron and I exchanged quick glances when Hermione said his name out loud.
"He's really back" Nigel Wolpert whispered from the crowd. He was only in his second year yet showed up to the meeting. Maybe because he looked up to Harry so much but nonetheless he was putting himself in so much danger. Harry nodded slightly looking up at the students.
"Well," I began breaking the silence, "If you want to join then write your name on this parchment" I said placing a parchment paper on top of a desk in front of us. The 25 students looked at me skeptically, even Ron and Harry.

"What if Umbridge finds this list?" Cho furrowed her eyebrows at me.
"It'll be with us the whole time and besides, we need something to catch the snitches" I shrugged smiling at her. Two pumpkin pasties please.
"How do we trust you?" Zacharias furrowed his eyebrows at me once again. I sighed picking up a pencil scribbling my name on the parchment paper. Ron quickly joined in without hesitation and scribbled his name followed by Harry and Hermione.
"We're all very much alive" I said to Zacharias who scoffed looking away. Soon the Weasley twins quickly joined in to sign their names on the parchment and with then everybody else lined up.
"It's charmed isn't it?" Hermione whispered to me.
"Whoever snitches and their name is on their list will regret it" I whispered as the two of us let out soft laughter. I looked back up to see everyone in the line. The Patil twins, the Weasleys, Luna, Neville, Cho, Marietta, Hannah Abott was also here too. I remembered back when she was wearing a badge to mock Harry and then went to cheer him on during the fourth task. Crazy how people switch up so fast.
I looked at Harry who's eyes were on something. At the glance of his glance was Cho who smiled at him and he smiled back. I rolled by eyes looking away and crossed my arms. Did that kiss really mean nothing to him? Was I just someone he used to get over Cho?
The members all wrote their names on the parchment and headed out of Hog's Head to go do their own thing. The Weasley twins, Ginny, Neville, Harry, Hermione, Ron and I stayed together walking back towards the Hogwarts castle discussing the first meeting.
"First we need to find a place to practice where Umbridge won't find out" Harry said walking fast beside me. He was excited and much less stressed then he was back at Hog's Head which made me happy.
"The shrieking shack?" Ginny suggested.
"No, too small"
"Forbidden forest?" Hermione suggested this time.
"No bloody way" Ron scoffed.
"Harry, what happens if Umbridge finds out?" Ginny asked.
"Who cares? I mean, it's sort of exciting isn't it? Breaking the rules" Hermione laughed as we all stared at her.
"Who are you and what have you done to Hermione" Ron joked.
"Don't worry Ginny, even if Umbridge does find out we'll all know who. It'll be far too obvious" I said laughing. Hermione looked at me with a smile while the others looked confused. I had a lot of fun learning a bunch of hexes and jinxes.... Curses too.
"Alright, for the next couple of days we should all try to come up with a place to practice" Harry said as we all nodded.
"Cho couldn't take your eyes off of you Harry" I shined a weak smile at him. He looked at me with no change in facial expressions and I looked away. Hermione quickly wrapped her arms around mine walking faster pulling me with her.
"Do you still fancy Harry?" She asked once we were at a good enough distance where people won't hear us.
"Of course not Hermione"
"Right"
"Do you still fancy Ron?" I asked. She stopped walking and stared at me raising her eyebrows.
"Evelyn Clermont I swear on Merlin's beard this is the day you die" She joked slapping my arm.

The Trespasser
Synopsis Following his di—instincts, David finds himself in a weird situation; the next thing he knows, he's in a different world, dying, and manhandled by a big-ass alien. When the Source comes to his aid, granting him the access that—like every other sapient—he's due, David barely manages to get out of the fight with his life intact, but is that enough? Of course it isn't. The very Source giving him powers is also poisoning him to death. Oh, there she is, the petite female alien. Will that be enough to save him? Of course it won't. If he wants to be saved, he has first to save himself. The only way to do so is by getting to know the world around him, but even before that... Why the bloody hell did I have to be called Deviant!? *** Blurb? Blurb. The Trespasser starts slowly, I believe I've written a decent world, and I want you to find out what it's all about, won't just throw it in your face because of *levels*. I do not like stories that don't make sense. David is not a murderhobo, he respects life and answers to the world and the weird situations thrown at him with irony and sarcasm; so you are looking for easy killing streaks, you will not find them here. So, a man finds himself into the wild? It's a different world, and yet he can breathe its air? Finds himself in a lucky-low-level zone? Oh, look at that, people speak English—how likely is that? So, nope, not for me, gentleman. You won't find anything of the likes here. Again, a man finds himself in a new world but only thinks about the system? Yeah, that's not exactly how it works. David will try to find out what it's really all about, what the aliens want, how they work, why is that Fay really helping him? You can kill somebody to get levels, and yet there is not even a form of police? Not gonna happen here. Man becomes suddenly overpowered in a world where people can live for thousands of years by having enough luck to face only lower-level people? Hahaha—nope. Lastly...Spaceships and fantasy with LitRPG... say what!? Well, what's wrong with that? Let's make it happen, shall we? *** You want even more info? Really? Alright... David will start from the very bottom of the food chain, so there will be a settling arc—it's inevitable. David will find true companions, with personalities and backstories, and they will have a life of their own. There will be enemies, and those enemies will have a life of their own, too; there will be no evil just because. The world-building will have true depth; it will not exist just because the protagonist visits it. There will be both Fantasy and (Soft) Sci-fi—yeah, you heard that right. There will be rationality to every action taken, as long as the characters are aware of what is going on. There will be a godly system. You will come to read because of the world-building, but you will stay for the characters. The dead stay dead, and you will weep for them. There will be no action without a reaction. Lastly, there will be laughs. Are you still up for it? Then get in but fasten your seatbelts because it's going to be a wild ride. *** Release Days: Twice a week Release Time: ~09:00 PM UTC Words per chapter: ~3000 This web novel is also available on other platforms.
