《Elegance | Harry Potter》Year 5-5 | Dumbledore's Army (1)

"Foul evil gargoyle! We're not learning how to defend ourselves, we're not learning how to pass our OWLs, she's taking over the entire school" Hermione said walking around the common room as Ron moved his piece on the wizard's chess board.
"Checkmate" Ron smirked at me. I rolled my eyes and threw a sickle at him leaning against the couch.
"...Furthermore we have convincing evidences that these disappearances are the work of notorious mass murder Sirius Black" Harry turned up the radio. A couple muggleborn witches and wizards have been disappearing lately, definitely the work of you know who but the ministry is too scared to admit it. Sirius Black's name was still not cleared so it would be the best idea to frame him.
"Harry!" Sirius's face appeared above the fireplace. I nudged Ron who leaned in forward to look at the fireplace and Harry quickly rushed over kneeling in front of him.
"You said you were worried about Umbridge, what's she doing? Training you to kill half-breeds?"
"Sirius she's not letting us use magic at all" Harry said as Hermione knelt beside him.
"Well i'm not surprised, latest intelligence is that Fudge doesn't want you trained in combat. He thinks Dumbledore is assembling his own forces to take on the ministry. The others wouldn't want me telling you this Harry, but things aren't going all well with the order. Fudge is breaking the truth of his return and these disappearances, is just how it started before. Voldemort is on the move"
"Well what can we do?"
"Someone's coming. I'm sorry I couldn't be more of a help but for now at least, it looks like you're on your own" Sirius said disappearing into the fire as the door opened and the Patil sisters walked in. Long silence filled the common room. Ron fidgeted with the sickle he had earned from me and the rest of us sat in silence, thinking.
"We've got to be able to defend ourselves. If Umbridge refuses to teach us how, we need someone who will" Hermione said breaking the silence looking directly at Harry.
"Me? No- Who would want to be taught by me?"
"Us" Ron said shrugging,
"Neville" Hermione added,

"Luna Lovegood" I also added on,
"Ginny" Ron added in once again,
"Fred and George" Hermione continued,
"Cho Chang" I sighed before saying the name.
"I really can't teach, I'm not even good at- at this" Harry took a deep breath in between his sentences. He was getting frustrated again. I placed my hand on his shoulder and he looked up at me from the from the ground.
"You'll be a great teacher Harry, Hermione Ron and I will be there to help you". His eyes trailed down from my eyes and back at the floor slowly and didn't reply.
"We'll tell people to come out, Ron can ask Ginny, Fred and George. I'll ask Neville and uhm.. Cho Chang" Hermione looked at me unsure.
"I'll ask Luna" I replied nodding.
"Great but where would we meet?" Ron asked Hermione looking down at her.
"Hog's Head? Well it would be better if we were undetected you know.."
"Sounds good Hermione"

I made my way inside the forbidden forest in hopes to find Luna. She spends most of her time in the forests with magical creatures since she's an 'outcast' to the other Ravenclaw students. I walked towards the group of Thestrals where I had seen Luna the last time I came here. One of the thestral noticed me and an lowly walked towards me rubbing it's head on my hands.
"Hello there" I whispered stroking it's bone like features. It wasn't a nice feeling, it was rough and kind of creepy in a way but nonetheless beautiful.
"Hello Evelyn" A dreamy voice approached me standing beside the Thestral I was stroking.
"Hi Luna" I greeted her as she made her way towards the me and the Thestral gently stroking it.
"I actually came here to find you, to ask if you would be interested in being taught defensive and offensive spells by Harry"
"You fancy him don't you?"
"What? No- no not at all"
"I've seen the way you look at him, it's quite obvious you know. I'm sure he fancies you too"
"No- no, he fancies Cho" I felt my face heating up, I couldn't be making it that obvious. At the same time I was annoyed, Luna has known me for a couple of days and she knows I fancy Harry. Harry still doesn't even have a clue, I don't even know if he feels the same way even after he kissed me.

"I would love to to be taught by Harry, where would we be meeting?" Luna asked turning to face me with a smile changing the subject.
"Hog's head". She nodded continuing to stroke the Thestral.
"Beautiful aren't they?" She looked up to me smiling.
"Very" I nodded as the thestral dug it's head on my shoulders.
"There's a reason they're the second rarest patronus. They're a symbol of death but as a patronus they're the opposite. I think your patronus may be a Thestral. It usually takes form with people who are deadly clever and gentle at heart"
"You must know a lot about one's patronus"
"I do, I studied a lot about them. I wish one day I'll be able to perform the patronus charm. I wonder what mine is"
"Harry performed the patronus charm. It was a stag". I noticed her eyes lit up and her smile growing bigger intrigued.
"He's very talented" she said to which I nodded, "I really do hope you believe me when I say Harry fancies you"
"...Thanks for the small talk Luna" I paused for a moment to think before replying. She nodded and looked back away from me and towards the thestral.
"I'll see you later Luna" I said before walking off into the forbidden forest. It was peaceful during the day definitely. The nature like smell, the chirping of the birds and occasionally I'd run across some magical creatures.
I looked down at the back of my hand. It was filled with scars and letters on it, my smooth skin was gone. It looked rather ugly if I'm being honest, professor McGonagall said it would go away in a couple of months at the most. It angered me, if my dad was still.. alive, he would've flipped out. Umbridge would be sacked with the blink of an eye and he'd even go as far as try to send her to azkaban. My family really has hit the rock bottom, Fleur and Gabrielle have hidden under the covers in France, Mother's a death eater, Dad is dead.
What would happen if Umbridge found out about Harry teaching a couple of students at Hogwarts. What would happen to me if she had found out I was involved in it knowing how much she despises me already. What the ministry feared, Dumbledore creating his own army to overthrow the minister, then finding out about Harry's army. Dumbledore would be suspicious, possibly get banished from the grounds of Hogwarts. Then again, how would we defend ourselves from... you know who if the school refused to teach us how to. If no one knows, then it will all work out. If no one snitches, it'll be fine. I have to make sure no one will snitch and even if they do, they'll pay for it.
***
The whole time during Profesor McGonagall and my tea time my mind was focused on one thing, the secrecy of this meeting. We exchanged a couple of small talks but I was growing impatient.
"Profesor McGonagall," I said placing down the tea, "What are some ways to catch a snitch?"
"Well if you're talking about quidditch then I suppose Mr. Potter can help you with that"
I paused for a second realizing the term 'snitch' wasn't exactly something you would hear in a formal conversation. "No, I meant those who give away one's secrets away"
"Oh? Well why would you want to know that?" She asked furrowing her eyebrows placing the tea cup down.
"Oh no reason profesor, just curiosity"
"Well, I suppose you could charm a parchment and have everyone write their names on the special parchment. If anyone who's name is on the parchment 'snitches' then they'd be jinxed"
"How do I charm the parchment paper?"
"It's quite advanced but if you bring it to me then I could do it for you. But purely out of curiosity and educational purposes yes?"
"Of course professor" A small smile formed on my face. I technically wasn't lying, it was for educational purposes. I'll make sure the paper will jinx the snitch in the most embarrassing way possible. Maybe even have it written on their face.

Only Villains Do That
While waiting on an Akihabara train platform one day, ordinary high schooler Yoshi Shinonome was suddenly plucked from his normal life in Japan and whisked away by a beautiful goddess to Ephemera, a world of magic and adventure, to serve as her Hero and drive back the evil Dark Lord. This is not his story. Standing nearby at the moment Yoshi was isekai'd was a man named Seiji - a rude, cranky, misanthropic musician who was not at all pleased to find himself also snatched up and transported to Ephemera by the goddess's wicked sister, Virya. According to this self-proclaimed Goddess of Evil, the whole fantasy adventure thing was a game she and her sister played to stave off the boredom of immortality, and since the good goddess, Sanora, had picked her Hero...well, Virya needed a Dark Lord. A grown man with his own career and ambitions, Seiji has no interest in playing. Unfortunately for him, the call to adventure was not a request. Now, he must conquer Ephemera and defeat the Hero...or Virya promises to make him beg for the release of death before granting it. Playing along for his own survival, Seiji nonetheless is under no illusions who his true enemy is, and it's not the naive young would-be Hero from his own world. Placed in an impossible position, Seiji must make enough progress toward world domination to keep his sadistic patron goddess off his back, but not so much that he can't strike an accord with the forces of Good and convince the Hero Yoshi that it's the goddesses who are their mutual enemy. Forced to embrace Evil without being too evil, Seiji walks the razor's edge, building his forces and biding his time till he can get revenge on the goddesses and be free of them, his only certainty that he will not be getting out of this with his hands clean. Fragments from the Wildlands
“Your first death is always the hardest.” Miguela was the third-born child of a well-off merchant family and knew from around the time she could speak that her life’s path was already decided. She was to become an Orator, as was Xandran tradition. However, Miguela had an affinity with the magikal arts and somehow found herself studying at the Academy. She did just enough to keep up with her studies but never found the motivation to apply herself and “reach her potential,” as her instructors often said. It was not that Miguela was uninterested in the arts. Rather, she knew her time at the Academy ultimately did not matter. Whenever Miguela returned home, she would become an Orator, and that would be that. Or so she believed until, one day, an opportunity appeared that would change her life. Miguela was offered the chance to join a research team tasked with a mission of the utmost importance to the future of the Five Kingdoms. She could not turn down the prospect of regaining control of her life and finally finding a purpose for herself. Of course, Miguela might soon discover that offers that appear too good to be true are usually fraught with lies. Welcome to Five Kingdoms of Cordizal! Question: What is the Five Kingdoms of Cordizal? I often get asked this type of question about my stories by friends, bloggers, and potential readers. The Five Kingdoms of Cordizal is a high-fantasy epic universe that is the setting for most of my stories. The foundation of the universe is its multicultural, multiracial setting with several sentient races attempting to carve their legacy and survive. The world is fully fleshed out and vibrant with a rich and mysterious history not based on Tolkien mythology. This brings me to magic. To me, magic is an essential part of the fantasy genre, so, of course, there is magic in the Five Kingdoms universe. However, one critical part of the Five Kingdoms universe is that magic is an abundant commodity that is a part of everyday life and not some plot device used to drive the story. In short, the Five Kingdoms universe is the setting of epic fantasy stories with deep characters and world-building. I try to tell as many different types of stories as possible in the universe, and hopefully, you can find something for you in it.

Killstealer
Unfinished - Apologies to anyone who was reading but I have no current intentions to revisit this story Alex was stuck in a rut: He was nearing thirty, and his career seemed to be going no-where; He used to have plenty of friends at university, but had gradually lost touch with them. He had recently started using a dating site, but truthfully he never quite got over his ex. It could be worse; he didn't spend his nights wallowing in self pity. However, he had a sinking feeling that his life was going no-where fast. When Alex decided to take up an old hobby all he really was looking for was something fun to do on friday nights. Thrust into another world by a mad mage Alex must adapt quickly to survive. Unfortunately, Alex showed up late to game night and ends up stuck with a pretty mediocre character in this game like reality. Alex must learn to survive in this new world; just because it all seems like a giant game doesn't make death any less terrifying. This will be my first attempt at writing litrpg. I wanted to set myself the challenge of writing every week and I think knowing people might be reading it will motivate me. I've always worked much better with external deadlines. FAQ Why should I read this LitRPG? I am writing because I enjoy it and you should read it if you enjoy it. If I had to make an elevator pitch I would start off by saying my MC is a rogue type character, which seems a relatively uncommon character at least based on what I have read. I also strive to make the supporting cast three dimensional characters, and not just caricatures. Finally, I can't forget that this is a LitRPG so I have tried to make a RPG system with depth, and one that makes sense. How often will you release chapters? At least once a week is my goal. I am a nurse with a baby at home, so between my hospital and my baby I won't have time for more unless something dramatically changes. Will there be romance? I won't rule it out as I try to let my characters write their own stories. However, there will NEVER be a harem, it just isn't something I am interested in. Gore, Profanity, and Traumatising Content? I don't intend to have any of these present at obscene levels, but my tolerance might be different to yours. The tags are mostly there to cover me.
