《Elegance | Harry Potter》Year 3-12 | Myself

"Why would you open it?!" Hermione slapped Ron's shoulders hard. A group of Gryffindors surrounded the firebolt trying to take a look at it. My hair was back up into a bun as I just continued to read.
"Harry!" Nevil and Seamus rushed over to Harry who had just entered the great hall. The three made their way up to the Gryffindor table and in front of the packaging that had already been opened by Ron.
"I-uh.. I didn't mean to open it Harry it was badly wrapped and they made me do it!" Ron pointed at Fred and George.
"Did not!" They both said in unison. I looked up from my book to see Harry unfold the packaging to reveal a new fancy broom, the firebolt, fastest broom in the world.
"For me?... But who sent it?" Harry examined the broomstick in amazement with a smile on his face.
"No one knows" Ron peeked from behind.
"This came with it" Hermione said as she pulled out a huge black feather. Black feather, that's so obvious who it was from, Sirius Black. The two's relationship had gotten much closer in such a small amount of time. Hermione had told me that Sirius actually asked if Harry wanted to live with him instead of the Dursleys. The group of Gryffindors, even Percy Weasley, ran out to the courtyard to see Harry ride his new broom. I walked right behind them only to be stopped by Draco who grabbed on to my wrist. Next to him was Crabbe, Goyle, and Pansy.
"Do you need something?" I asked batting an eyelash at Pansy. She really was pug-faced.
"My father will hear about your mudblood friend, so will your mother" He muttered. I knew exactly what would happen if he told my mother, she does not like muggle borns at all.

"Your father will also hear about your girlfriend Draco" I said looking over at Pansy who narrowed her eyes at me.
"You'll be sorry you filthy blood-traitor" Pansy gritted her teeth hugging Draco's arm. I wanted to throw up at the sight but chuckled a bit when I realized Draco pulled his arm away. I decided maybe, I should have some fun.
I placed a hand on Draco's cheek, he flinched but didn't pull away instead kept close eye contact with me. I leaned in close, our faces inches apart but he didn't back away.
"Piss off" I whispered with a smile. Pansy slapped my hand away and glared at me as so did Draco. I loved what I had done to him and his little girlfriend.
"Pansy, I'll be happy to have another duel with you if you must" I smirked at her before walking away. I know that wasn't very Clermont of me to do, that wasn't very elegant. I'm myself though, Buckbeak had taught me what being free felt like and I loved that feeling. I don't have to fit into the title of being a Clermont, I don't have to be elegant.
I walked towards the group of Gryffindors surrounding Harry as he got in the firebolt. The broom shot up in the air extremely fast and flew away followed by Harry's screams. We all watched in amazement watching the world's fastest broom fly away.

I walked out to the Gryffindor common room in my pajamas unable to sleep. There I saw Harry sitting on a couch in front of the fireplace doing nothing, just staring at the fire.
"Can't sleep?" I said sitting beside Harry. He looked at me with his green eyes nodding, his hair all messy just the way I liked it. His face had many little scars on it from the whomping willow. They weren't deep scars, just light ones, they'll go away in a few weeks. I placed a hand on his cheek tracing my fingers across one of the scars.

"Professor Lupin has resigned" He said.
"Snape must've spread the word around he was a werewolf"
He nodded, "I thought I was going to die, I thought you were also going to die"
"What do you mean?" I furrowed my eyebrows. I did almost die to Profesor Lupin but Harry wasn't there to help me, he couldn't have. He was in the lake with the dementors so he couldn't be the one who saved me.
"I- Uh- just guessed because you always put your life on the line for me" He stuttered.
"It's only been the third year of Hogwarts and you almost died at least 10 times" I chuckled.
"Well thank Merlin you were there to save me"
"Always will"
"I'm also looking after you too Evelyn"
"Oh really?"
"Yeah, you just never saw it directly" He smirked like he was hiding something. I wasn't going to ask him what he was, I feel like that ruins the surprise in it.
"Well thank you" I kissed his cheek softly. He looked at me with his eyes widened, his face turning red quick. I looked away embarrassed pretending not to notice his gaze.
"Evelyn I have something to tell you" I turned back at him meeting his eyes, butterflies in my stomach. "I-"
"We should get some sleep Harry" I interrupted him not letting him finish his sentence. He was going to say something about the kiss on the cheek and I wasn't sure if I was ready to hear it or if I even wanted to. For obvious reasons if he didn't like that I did that, I don't want our relationship to be awkward. If he did like it though we both know we're too young for a serious relationship. I just liked it how it was right now.
"Yeah, right" Harry looked down at the ground.
"Goodnight Harry" I said walking back up to the girl's dormitories.
"Goodnight" I heard him call out, his voice was quiet and saddened.

All in the hopes of an uncertain survival. _________ This fiction has NOT been abandoned. I made a haughty promise earlier to not worry because I'll continue this series, and with things lately, I've only proved myself a liar. Further promises dwindled, and I've lost trust. So many things have been going on recently that I've been booked. I will refrain from making any future guarantees or promises as my busy schedule will stay with me for a long long while. Time for me to actually spend on writing and revising won't appear until at the least November 19. I won't say expect that's when I'll restart, but you can expect expecting it to maybe happen. That's really shallow. But with everything going on, I've let my small reading base down. I apologize. I still stick by my statement though that I won't abandon this project. I plan to stick it to the end, no matter the delay. Most importantly, thank you everyone; readers who both like and dislike my work. I appreciate your time spent on my dumb imagination. Stay toasty my readers in this winter season. Cheers. UPDATE: We're back on track. Thank you for your patience. Any future readers, heyo! Glad you're here. UPDATE 2: So far it's been 21 days since I last uploaded a chapter. The best thing done for any fiction, no matter how good it is, is that it continues, and I have a bad history with that. 1 fiction on hiatus and already more delays with less than 20 chapters in this fiction. I've been very preoccupied with adding more things to do in my life rather than actually committing to any particular thing. That applies primarily to this. I cannot abandon this, as busy as my future looks and will look as I get busier and busier. Someday, I hope, I will be able to sit down and just write. just. write. But for now, I ask for patience. I suppose I'm glad this fiction hasn't picked up so that I don't disappoint too many people if any really. But I need to commit and it's going to happen sometime and sometime soon. No more flowery words. I'll see you later. UPDATE 3: It's very evident I won't be able to pick up this story for a while. With AP Testing, competitions, and other things I am busier than ever. But I must complete this fiction. I have too. Until next time. UPDATE 4: It is now the summer. I owe everyone an apology. Chances are, nobody's around to see this, and that is okay. I only blame myself for this sort of brokenness of a fiction, not that it is actually that bad but I am just exaggerating it for dramatic effect. But what's not exaggerated is the severity of my broken promise. I apologize for my naive claims about finishing a novel that I couldn't finish and that I didn't have the discipline to finish. Nor the skills, really, I was and am still an immature writer. What is to place now? I want to make it clear I understand this is my fault. I will man up to this. And I will accept any criticism. I understand I messed up. Reading Stephen King's On Writing made it clear to me that I need to do two things:Read lots. And write lots.I have done neither. If I don't have the time to read often, how do I expect to write? I need to become more experienced. I need to become a serious writer. So if I want to dream of continuing, I need to at least fulfill both requirements. I enjoy writing. I haven't written seriously outside of school in a while. I planned to write this summer and finish this. I made a lot of promises that I didn't keep.So there's that. I won't enact any self-pity, or be foolishly obsessed. What I did was wrong, and I must deal with it. I let down readers. And I apologize.I hope I can find forgiveness. This is a writer's sin.I won't promise I'll finish this. I intend to finish this, at some point, because writing is fun and I want to write. But how things are don't reflect that. Maybe I'll finish this at some point. Maybe I won't. I won't be naive to make that promise.I thank everyone who has read this if this is the end. If not, and hopefully not, I thank everyone who is to read future chapters. I thank everyone who allowed me to live in the miniscule little dream of mine as I passed my days. I thank everyone who cares enough to read this. Until next time, peace everyone. Thank you. You are all great readers and great people. I wish everyone the best in whatever reading/writing endeavors follow you henceforth.

Obstinate Han
A power progression fantasy with a main character who trains constantly but who lacks purpose, direction, and motivation. The world he lives in, however, is not a peaceful one. As obstinate as Han can be, with all of humanity edging slowly towards annihilation, will he truly be able to avoid becoming entangled in the affairs of the deities fighting over his new universe? This story is a slow burn rather than a fast paced action/adventure, and is centered around the perspective of a main character who struggles with depression, apathy, anhedonia, and asociality. This world was doomed well before he arrived, and he knows it. Rather than following the traditional hero model, he just wants to train for its own sake, and to scrape out occasional moments of happiness in a ruined and dying world.
