《Elegance | Harry Potter》Year 3-6 | Storm

3-6: Storm
ime passed quick, normal days over and over with no sign of Sirius Black. Harry was still a little paranoid but seemed to have relaxed somewhat. My hair was untied falling over my shoulders, ever since the first time I left it untied I just kept leaving it untied. I sat in an empty seat next to Harry in the Defense Against the Dark Arts classroom. So far Professor Lupin was one of my favorites, he actually was really good at teaching and his classes were fun to take.
The chatters of the classroom stopped as Profesor Snape's barged in closing every single window there was in the classroom creating darkness. He got up to the very front of the class rolling down a projector screen looking at us all firmly.
"Turn to page 394," He said ever so coldly.
"Excuse me sir, where's Profesor Lupin?"
"That's not really your concern is it Potter? He is currently incapable of teaching at present time. Turn to page 394," He said walking back to the back of the class turning the projector on.
"Werewolves?" Ron furrowed his eyebrows.
"But sir, we just begun learning about red caps and hinkypunks. We're not meant to start Nocturnal beast for weeks," Hermione turned to face him now sitting behind me.
"Quiet."
"When did she come in here? Did you see her come in?" Ron asked me once again. I only shrugged, personally I had no idea how she was doing that either.
"Now, who can tell me the difference between an animagus and a werewolf?" Hermione's hand shot up into the air as always.
"No one? Very disappointing" Snape said clearly acknowledging Hermione's hand go up.
"Please sir, an Animagus is a wizard who can choose to turn into an animal. A werewolf has no choice. With each full moon he transforms and he no longer remember who he is. Furthermore the werewolf only responds to the call of his own kind," Hermione continued. From the other side of the class Draco howled mimicking the sound of a werewolf snickering with his friends.
"Thank you Mr. Malfoy. That is the second time you've spoken out of turn Miss Granger. Are you incapable of restraining yourself or do you take pride in being an insufferable know-it-all?" Snape snapped back at her. I looked back at Hermione who only looked down at her book not daring to look up. "5 Points from Gryffindor."

"Well surely you should take points away from Slytherin sir. Draco's actions were also distracting your class or will your favoritism cover his actions again?" I spoke out returning the same exact emotionless face back at him.
"Another 5 points from Gryffindor again and.. 5 points from Slytherin," He said walking away. "As an antidote for your ignorance I want on my desk by Monday morning two rows of parchment on the werewolf with particular emphasis on recognizing it," The class groaned rolling their eyes.
"Sir it's quidditch tomorrow," Harry said.
"Then I suggest you take extra care Mr. Potter" Snape said hunching over Harry's desk. "Lost of limb will not be an excuse. Page 394," He said before walking away and intimidating the daylight out of him.
My attention was drawn to a little paper crane flying past and landing in Harry's hands, Snape's voice drowned out in the background. He looked at me confused before opening the paper crane to reveal a drawing of Harry getting struck by lighting during the Quidditch game. I glared at Draco who was surely laughing and smirking with his group of minions. I snatched the paper out of Harry's hand crumbling it before shoving it back in my pocket.
"Don't bother Harry, You'll do great" I whispered.

It was an extremely rainy day, the wind was blowing hard. I put on the Gryffindor rain coat, being red of course, and stood under a red umbrella. Hermione and Ron cheered for Harry as him and a Hufflepuff seeker fought for the golden snitch. The two flew out of the field and up into the clouds disappearing from everyone's sight.
Seconds later lighting struck and the Hufflepuff seeker came rolling down gaining control of his broom again and flying back up. Now Harry really had the chance to grab the golden snitch.
A few more minutes passed and there was no sign of Harry until someone came rolling down.. Without a broom. I recognized the red uniform, it was Harry falling from the sky fast. I covered my mouth watching in shock as he fell closer and closer to the ground.
"Aresto Momentum!" Dumbledore held out his hands slowing Harry's fall down until he stopped completely making a softer landing still unconscious. I looked up at the sky at where he had fallen from, there were dementors hovering over the clouds. Dumbledore walked out furiously when he noticed the dementors hovering in the sky.

"Cedric Diggory has caught the snitch! Hufflepuff wins the game!" Lee shouted from his loudspeaker as the Hufflepuff cheered. Hermione, Ron, and I rushed down to the field to see Madam Pomfrey already carrying him out of the field and into the hospital wing followed by the Gryffindor team. We rushed behind following them into the hospital wing.
Madam Promfrey quickly rested Harry on one of the hospital beds and running outside again to get the Hufflepuff seeker who also seemed to have been injured. He was 3 years older than me. I've heard his name before, Cedric Diggory, Hufflepuff'd heartthrob. We all gathered around Harry's bed staring at him waiting for him to wake up while Madam Pomfrey took care of Cedric.
"He looks a bit peaky," Ron said looking down at the unconscious Harry.
"Peaky? What do you expect, Fell over a hundred feet!"
"Yeah Come on Ron let's drop you off the astronomy tower let's see what you look like" The Weasley twins finished each other's sentences. Slowly, Harry's eyes bagan to open looking around at all the people that were hunched over him. We all smiled at him and he smiled back slowly sitting up on his hospital bed.
"How are you feeling?" I asked sitting down on the side of the bed.
"Brilliant."
"You got us scared right there mate" George says sitting down on the other side.
"What happened?" Harry asked putting back on his glasses.
"Well you fell off your broom."
"Really? I meant the match. Who won?" Harry said sarcastically back at Ron who was holding Harry's broken broom wrapped in a cloak.
"No one blames you Harry, the dementors aren't supposed to come inside the grounds. Dumbledore was furious," I said looking at him sympathetically.
"There's something else you should know too a harry um, when you fell, your broom it sort of landed onto the whomping willow and um.. well" Ron unwrapped the broken broom which was now in pieces. Harry's face changed quickly to a frown in disappointment, there were multiple emotions shown in his face, he just sat there looking at the broken broom.
"We should let Harry rest" Hermione says pulling me out of the hospital wing as the rest of the students followed us out.

I groaned out burying my head in my face, the amount of workload Snape had given us in such a little time was overwhelming. On top of that, I was writing Harry's essay too since I thought it would be the best if he rests. Besides, I don't even think he even remembered to do it. Profesor Lupin was such a great teacher, gave just the right amount of work to do, but where had he gone? There were many things suspicious about this guy, Snape saying he and Dumbledore hesitated before hiring him.. His boggart being a moon. Moon.. I looked outside the library window noticing it was almost a full moon.
"Werewolves," I scoffed remembering Snape's whole lecture about it. Werewolves, each full moon it transforms no longer remembering who he is. That's terrifying to think of, I'll become a monster for hours possibly even hurting my loved ones. Terrified of the moon.. I let out a large gasp drawing attention to me.
"Are you alright?" Hermione nudged me whispering.
"He's a werewolf-"
"Sorry?"
"Profesor Lupin is a werewolf."

(A/N) So i don't know if you guys have noticed but Evelyn refers to teachers as just their last name or by professor. I did this to show whoever she refers as professor is someone she respected :)

Old Riding Author Lunatic Asylum
Just off the A19, in the dark, incomprehensible lands known as Yorkshire, there lies a town. A town where shadow-silent alleys glint with the secret hunger of knives. Where blood soaks the chipboard window shutters of forsaken terraces stretching off into the night. Where the smog-choked air rattles with the depraved laughter echoing out from clubs that can only generously be described as post-apocalyptic. Well, that’s Middlesbrough. But down the A19 a bit (an impossibly long way down, actually) there lies another town: Raughnen, in the ancient, forgotten Old Riding. It is an equal match in muggery and thuggery alike. It also has magic spells and pointy wizard hats. And now, across the miles and across all sensibilities, a pretty nasty power (a magic one) calls out for its pretty nasty counterpart (a decidedly unmagic one): a proper sound Boro lad. Nothing good can come of it. This is a collection of one novella and four connected short stories: I. A Yorkshire Summoning II. Old Riding Day Trip (the novella) III. Heaven is a Parmo IV. Death on the 66 V. Death on the 257 In total, this comprises 34 chapters totalling around 35,000 words, so try not to worry. It will be over relatively quickly. There are three more short stories with more tenuous links to the core collection: Rush, Paper Round and Scenario 79: Sausage Fingers, all of which can be found in my collection Short Records of Misadventure. Reading these may allow you to make more sense of certain parts of the story, if any sense is to be made at all. NOTE: There are instances of prejudice and discrimination within these stories, including elements of sexism and ageism, which are purely the thoughts and actions of the characters involved and which certainly do not reflect my own views on these matters. ANOTHER NOTE; A WARNING, PERHAPS: This can get a bit weird. In less than 150 pages, we have four viewpoints, first and third person narratives, and a completely disjointed plot with lots of gaps, dead ends and no real resolution. Also ZERO lunatic asylums. It's all a bit odd. If that sort of thing isn't your cup of tea, which it most likely isn't, it might be best to move on now.
