❝︎They were a sign of weakness, I'm not weak.❞︎
2-11: Tom Riddle
woke up on a cold surface, dragging myself up looking around. It was a dark room with a puddle of water on the other side, above it was the statue of Salazar Slytherin. I am in the Chamber of Secrets.
Behind me, I heard chattering, a girl's voice, Ginny. I looked over to see her talking with a boy, maybe one or two years older than me. He was incredibly good looking wearing a Slytherin robe.
"Ah, Evelyn. You're awake," The boy says walking towards me as Ginny followed. "My friend Ginny over here was just telling me Hagrid had been sent to Azkaban and Harry went inside the dark forest to meet Aragog, Hagrid's giant spider friend to find answers. Speaking of, you can go now."
Ginny turned around sharply heading out of the room. She was listening to everything he was saying precisely, this reminded me of a curse.
"The Imperio curse," I said watching Ginny leave.
"Yes, you are very smart Evelyn not to mention strong," I examined the boy, devilishly good looking. Tom Riddle's diary, everything started to connect.
"You're Tom Riddle. You used your diary to get her to open the Chamber of Secrets.." I looked at him in the eye. He looked a little too young though, if the Chamber of Secrets had opened 50 years ago he should be looking a lot more older than he is now.
He walked closer to me cupping my face with one of his hands pulling my chin up towards him examining my face.
"Extremely clever, strong and beautiful. You're not a Veela for no reason. Pity, I would've loved to meet you in solid form, which won't be soon."
"You're a memory, but how?"
"Doesn't matter. You want to know a secret?" He says, still lifting my chin as I just stared at him. I was missing something, he who must not be named was behind the opening of the Chamber of Secrets. I gasped as my eyes widened, this is a memory of HIM.
"You're him," My voice was shaky as I felt my body start to tremble. He looked down at me and smirked, I never knew the dark lord was hot.

"Join me, Evelyn. Sadly Ginny is still weak and doesn't have enough power to bring me to life, giving me a solid form. You, however, have just enough. You will die once I take solid form but if you join me I'll spare your life. together we can rule the Wizarding World" I started to shake, keeping eye contact with him. He was going to use me to come back to life and terrorize the wizarding world.
"Never" I muttered. He only smirked letting go of my chin.
"You'll find that I can be.. Very persuasive"
I put my hand on my head as I felt a slight bit of dizziness.
"The process has started. You have a few days left to decide if you want to join me or not and die."
"Harry Potter will beat you" I gritted my teeth.
"HARRY POTTER WILL DIE" I gasped as he suddenly started to walk towards me stomping.
"SOON EVERYONE WILL KNOW HARRY POTTER DIED TO THE MERE MEMORY OF LORD VOLDEMORT" He continued to walk towards me as I walked backward until I reached a wall.
"You know Evelyn, I really am quite eager to meet him," He says, his face only inches away from me before turning away and stands facing the statue of Salazar Slytherin. I had to spend days with the dark lord slowly dying. I sat down as far away from him as possible not letting my tears fall. They were a sign of weakness, I'm not weak.
A few days have passed since the encounter with a gigantic spider that wished to eat Ron and I. Evelyn was still missing and no one knew where she was. I missed her comforting touch, it was motherly.
I changed the flowers besides Hermione's hospital bed to fresher ones. She must know what happened to Evelyn that day. The Mandrakes hasn't even grown fully yet and I have no clue what to do next. Everything was driving me crazy.
"Wish you were here Hermione. We need you, now more than ever" Ron sat across from me signing with slight tears in his eyes. I grabbed her hand cold petrified hand and felt something in her grip, a crumpled up paper.
'with many fearsome beasts that roamed our land, none is more deadly than the basilisk. Capable of living for hundreds of years, instant death to any that meet the giant serpents eye.'

"Ron. This is why Hermione was in the library the day she was attacked. Come on!" I dragged him out onto the corridors back to the Gryffindor common room as he read through the page.
"Ron, this is it. The monster in the Chamber of Secrets is a Basilisk. That's why I can hear it speak! It's a snake"
"But if it kills by looking at people in the eye, how come no one is dead?"
"Because no one ever made direct eye contact with it. Colin saw it through his camera, Justin must've seen the basilisk through Nearly Headless Nick! Nick got the full blast of it but he's a ghost he couldn't die again. And Hermione.. Through the mirror! Evelyn must've known about all of this and gave the mirror to Hermione to look around the corner. It all fits!"
"How's the Basilisk been getting around! A dirty big snake someone would've seen it" Ron was right, I examined the paper to find any more clues and recognized Evelyn's perfect cursive writing.
"Looks like they've answered it for us" I showed him the paper.
"Pipes! It's using the plumbing"
"Remember what Aragog said, about the girl that died in the bathroom? What if she never left?"
"...Moaning Myrtle"
"All students are to return to their house dormitories at once. All teachers to the second floor corridor immediately" Profesor McGonagall announced. Ron and I looked at each other and ran to the second floor corridor. There, all the teachers have gathered around in front of a wall.
"As you can see, the heir of Slytherin has left another message. Our worst fear has been realized! Two students have been taken by the monster into the chamber itself! Students must be sent home. I'm afraid this is the end of Hogwarts." McGonagall said in a worried voice.
"So sorry, dozed off. What have I missed?" Lockhart came around smiling.
"Two girls have been snatched by the monster Lockhart your moment has come at last" Snape retorted.
"M..M-Me?"
"Weren't you saying last night that you've known all along where the entrance to the Chamber of Secrets is?"
"That's settled! We'll leave you to deal with the monster Gilderoy. Your skills after all are a legend" McGonagall said sarcastically.
"Very well, I'll just be in my office uh- Getting ready" He walked off rushing.
"Who is it that the monster has taken Minerva?" Madam Pomfrey asked Profesor McGonagall. I listened closely in curiosity.
"Ginny Weasley"
"Ginny!" Ron whispered to me in shock.
"Who's the other one?" Madam Pomfrey asked after gasping slightly.
"We've checked everyone and they were all safe and with us except her and Evelyn Clermont. She's alive but in the Chamber of Secrets"
Ron and I stared at each other in shock. I didn't know what to feel, relieved that she was alive or worried she was in the chamber of secrets? All the teachers rushed off and Ron and I walked up to the wall.
'Their Skeletons will lie in the chamber forever" It was written in blood once again. The second of relief that Evelyn was alive disappeared, she won't be alive for long unless I find her.
I woke up to a thud in the middle in front of Salazar Slytherin's statue, Ginny laid there motionless.
"Ginny" I got up and ran over to her barely having the strength to look over her body.
"She's not dead yet, just passed out. She won't die until I take solid form" Tom Riddle says walking over towards me. The last few days have been torturous. The continuous headaches were killing me and they were only getting worse. I felt my breath running out as I started to pant.
"The process is almost done Evelyn, last chance. Join me and the pain will end" He puts out his hand. My ears started to ring as my vision started to blur. I was dying and I was extremely near it too. I had no strength in my body to get up or even talk.
"Go.. To hell" I say before collapsing panting. He got down and knelt in front of me putting his hand on my chin to make me look up at him.
"Pity."
There was a loud thud and I heard footsteps running towards us. "Evelyn!"
That's the last thing I remember hearing before I lost consciousness.

Anchor Points: Age of Heroes
If you had a chance to reset history, knowing what we know now, would you take it? Six years after kicking an alien expeditionary force off the surface of the Earth back to their staging bases in the asteroid belt, and aided by stolen alien technology, the United Terran Republic Navy has finally achieved enough warship production to put the enemy on the run. Despite the facade of unity projected by the Earth's new federal government, deep cracks still lie under the surface that threaten the stability of world peace and the ability to protect humanity with a unified military response. Within this backdrop, the North American Union, now a mere state in the greater union, has created or reopened multiple off-books projects and black sites to house secrets both old and new that would be far too toxic or dangerous to be known to the wider world at such a delicate stage in world history. One of these secrets will draw Captain Henry O'Toole from his comfortable posting with the Jupiter Fleet straight into a world of conspiracies and secrets that could destroy the new, still fragile world order. Captain O'Toole will take command of mankind's first true starship with a secret mission that would be seen as treason by the new federal government. His orders are to use a prototype faster than light drive to travel through dimensions higher than spacetime and ride the expansion of the universe to create an off-books colony solely for the NAU. There are consequences for escaping time's jealous grasp, which instead position them to have a chance to change the course of human history. Fate has called the Indomitable Will and her crew into the Age of Heroes, will they be able to rise to the challenge?

Awakening
This story was previously known as "The Awakening".~*~"One... two... three... one... two... three... a million... is that number right?" A figure less voice echoed."Hello? Who's there?" Caliope asked, focusing on that voice."One... two... who? A million... a billion... no, it's more... a legion..."Silence. She had seen too many horror movies and heard too many stories about that single word to overpass its meaning. The voice went quiet, yet she was still unable to see where it came from. She rubbed her eyes and all she could see around her was a thick path in a jungle-like scene. She didn't remember how she got there, but she knew it was for something important. Her eyes focused on the far end of the path and all she could see were more trees. She turned to the opposite side and found just the same."One... two... billions... but always back at one..." the voice resumed it's counting."Where are you?
