《Naruto The Shinobi Hunter》Chapter 19

Naruto stared at the scroll on the floor, reading Danzo's name over and over again. He twitched in anger, gritting his teeth, "What is this?" Naruto mumbled to himself, "What the hell is this?!" he shouted. Picking up the scroll he threw onto the ground, causing it to bounce and land on top of his dresser, "Naruto! What's going on up there?!" Minato shouted from outside. Naruto ran to the window as he looked down at his father and siblings, training in the backyard, "Nothing! Trust tripped!" Naruto answered
"Are you okay?" Naruko asked, waving her hands, revealing that they had small cuts and light bruises. Around them were broken balloons as Menma held an unbroken one in his hand, "Yeah! You alright?" Menma asked
"Y-Yeah, I'm fine!" Naruto waved back, faking a nervous smile
"Okay!" Minato shouted, going back to training Menma and Naruko. But before Naruto could close the window, he heard his father, "Naruto! Why don't you come down here!"
"What?"
"Yeah! Come on down!" Minato shouted, making a 'come-on-down' motion with his hands
"A-Are you sure?"
"Sure I'm sure!" Minato smiled. Naruto was hesitant at first, but he soon closed the window and ran down the stairs, walking into the back yard where his father waved him over, "Alright Naruto, come stand right in front of me," he ordered. Naruto did as he was told as Minato knelt down and placed a hand on his shoulder, "Naruto... *sigh* alright. Naruto, I want you to take this leaf," Minato instructed, picking a leaf off the ground, "and hold it onto your forehead using your chakra, okay?"
"Okay? Uhhh, how do I do that?" Naruto asked, seeing his father smack himself
"Right, I forgot. *Sigh*, okay, Naruto, hold still," Minato started going through hand-signs, ending on the tiger-hand-sign and placed his hand on Naruto's chest. With a little shove, Naruto was sent flat on his back as he felt a surge of something he hadn't felt before. Gasping as he sat up, he looked at his father and shouted: "WHAT JUST HAPPENED?!"
"I unlocked your chakra," his father explained, placing the leaf on Naruto's forehead, helping him sit up, "now concentrate on the leaf," Naruto nodded, following his instructions. Naruto, with his father's hand on his back, closed his eyes, and tried to focus on the leaf. As Naruto tried to focus more and more on the leaf, Minato watched as Naruto was getting it in such a short amount of time, 'That's it, just a little more,' Minato thought, until.
"IT IS I! THE MAGNIFICENT TOAD SAGE OF MOUNT. MYOBOKU! JIRAIYA!"
As a man on a giant toad appeared in a cloud of smoke. This action surprised Naruto as he jumped, opening his eyes, causing the leaf to fall off his forehead, "Uncle Jiraiya!" Menma and Naruko shouted, rushing toward the old man, who hopped off the toad with a smile

"Menma! Naruko!" Jiraiya said, hugging them, "Look at how big you two have gotten so big! Last I saw ya, you both were just barely able to fit in my arms... well, Menma has. Naruko, you're still small," he giggled, causing Naruko to pout
"Where have you been, old man?" Menma asked as the Toad Sage ended the hug
"I've been around, oh! That reminds me! Gama!" Jiraiya said, looking back at the large toad
"Yes, Lord Jiraiya?" Gama asked
"The scroll!"
"At once," Gama replied, opening his mouth revealing a large scroll wrapped around his tongue. Placing it in the sage's hands, Jiraiya nodded, placing it on the ground and rolling it out, revealing both Jiraiya's name and Minato's, written in blood with 5 dots below them, "S-sensei! What are you doing?!" Minato asked
"I thought it's time they got their names in the summoning contract," Jiraiya explained, "just write your names in blood and I'll show you brats the hand-signs!"
"Are you sure? Isn't it a bit too early for them t-"
"Oh, don't argue with me about what's too early to do. Looking around, I can see you're training them in the Rasengan! And with the ink on Menma's left hand, you're teaching him the Hiraishin," Jiraiya said, pointing at the said boy's hand
"O-Okay! Touche," Minato mumbled, allowing Jiraiya to turn back to Menma and Naruko. The twins bit their thumbs, drawing their names in blood, "Alright, now put blood on the finger-tips of the hand you wish to summon with and I'll show you the signs," Jiraiya said, instructing them. All the while, Naruto watched from behind them. He was thinking. Thinking about the scroll from before, 'Written in blood. A summoning contract? Like Dad and the old toad?' he thought, his eyes widening in realization, 'Summons talk! Talking gets information! Information get's Danzo!'
"Alright, brats! Watch closely," Jiraiya bit his thumb, smearing it across his right hand and started going through hand-signs, slowly, "boar, dog, bird, monkey, ram, Summoning Jutsu!" Jiraiya slammed his hand on the ground. In a huge cloud of smoke, Gama reappeared beneath Jiraiya, "Tada!"
"Alright! Let's try it out!" Menma shouted, biting his thumb and slowly going through the signs, "boar, dog, bird, monkey, ram, Summoning Jutsu!" and in a cloud of smoke, a large toad, towering-over the house was summoned. A giant magenta-colored toad with black markings on his face, arms, and legs with horn-like protrusions on its head. It wore a black kimono with a white sash and mesh armor underneath. A sakazuki-like shield wrapped around it's back and a satsuma in its hand
"Where am I?" the toad asked

"Whoa! I can see the entire village from up here!" Menma screamed
"Holy crap. The kid summoned Mr. Gamaken," Jiraiya said as the toad looked down
"Master Jiraiya, why am I here? Surely someone as ungraceful as me cannot be summoned somewhere such as this place. I could accidentally crush someone," Gamaken said
"It's nothing, Mr. Gamaken! Menma summoned you! The little brat on your head," Jiraiya shouted as the toad rolled its eyes upward
"Oh? You summoned me?" Gamaken asked
"Y-Yeah, I summoned you. Sorry about that," Menma scratched the back of his head nervously
"It is fine. Summon me when you need assistance... well, as much as someone as ungraceful as me can do," Gamaken said, opening his mouth to grab Menma and set him on the ground. When Menma was sitting on the grass, Gamaken vanished in a large cloud of smoke. When the smoke dissipated, Naruko bit her thumb again and started going through hand-signs, "boar, dog, bird, monkey, ram! Summoning Jutsu!" Naruko shouted. Just like before, a giant cloud of smoke appeared with another toad towering-over the house. This one has an aquamarine skin tone and yellow eyes with grey markings around them and two distinct, circular markings on its shoulders. It also carried two huge katanas on his back, which are his main weapons with an orange sash around its stomach.
Naruko looked down and said: "Hello! I'm Naruko Uzumaki Namekaze! I summoned you! What's your name?"
"Gamahiro," the toad replied
"Nice to meet you Gamahiro! I hope you don't mind if I summon you if I need help?" Naruko asked as the toad gave her a thumb's up, before setting her on the ground and vanishing into smoke. Naruko felt a bit disappointed at the lack of interaction with Gamahiro as Jiraiya put a hand on her shoulder, "Please excuse Hiro, he's not much of a social butterfly like you. But even though he doesn't show it, he's very excited," Jiraiya said with a smile
"Really?!"
"Yup!"
"YAY!" Naruko screamed as she ran around the back-yard. But as she did so, Jiraiya looked at Naruto and saw that he was deep in thought. But Jiraiya flinched, seeing Naruto's appearance, 'Fucking hell! I heard the brat went through some rough times, but this?! He looks like a demon! A monster!' Jiraiya thought, taking a deep breath as he walked over to Naruto and knelt down, "Hey! Naruto! Aren't you glad to see me?" he asked as Naruto came back to reality
"Y-Yeah, hey... Uncle Jiraiya," Naruto said as he was helped up
"So... how ya been?" Jiraiya asked
"I've seen better days,"
'No kidding,' Jiraiya sweat-dropped, "A-Anyway. Sorry I didn't let you sign the contract in all, I wasn't so sure you'd be able to... handle... it," Jiraiya stumbled on his words
"It's alright, I'm fine with it," Naruto said
"How about this?" Jiraiya pulled out several books from his pocket. He handed it to Naruto, "I heard you where into manga and all that stuff, so I bought you these," Jiraiya said as he handed Naruto the three manga books.
"Sorry if they're out of order. I couldn't find the first volume and thought any volume would be better than anything. From what I've read to far, it's pretty interesting. But it's not really for me," Jiraiya explained as Naruto took them with great interest
"T-Thank-you, Uncle Jiraiya!" Naruto said with excitement, taking them and running back up to his room. Jiraiya just stood there, a smoke trail of Naruto running from the backyard to his room could be seen as he lowered his arms, "Okay... y-you're welcome, Naruto," Jiraiya whispered as he slouched over, "little brat. Didn't even give me a hug,"
After setting aside the manga for later, Naruto grabbed Danzo's Summoning Scroll and raced to the woods, hoping to not run into anyone. When he got there, he saw Garou, waiting for him, "What took ya so long?" Garou asked walking up to his student
"Sorry, sensei. B-But some family came over," Naruto said
"Okay, so what's in your hand?" Garou questioned, pointing at the scroll
"Watch," Naruto rolled out the scroll, revealing Danzo's name again
"Danzo Shimura... what's this thing supposed to be?"
"A summoning contract! You write your name in blood and you get to summon an animal to fight by your side," Naruto explained
"So basically a get-out-of-jail-free-card?" Garou asked, causing Naruto to nod
"I hope so," Naruto bit his thumb, drawing out blood. In an open space, Naruto wrote his name and covered his finger-tips in blood. Letting it dry for a while, Naruto started going through hand-signs, copying what Jiraiya, Menma, and Naruko did from hours before, "Boar, dog, bird, monkey, ram," Naruto whispered before building up what chakra he could muster before saying: "SUMMONING JUTSU!" and in a titan-size amount of smoke, a creature appeared. It was double the size of Gamaken and Gamahiro. It was a gigantic elephantine chimera, it dark-orange in color with the exception of its trunk, legs, and the markings around its eyes. Its feet are striped, reminiscent of those of a tiger and it also has huge tusks, what looks like a beard, as well as long, sharp claws. It has bandages wrapped around its head and plated armor at the base of its trunk.

A Castle in a Teacup
One might say that to anger forces beyond the ken of fragile breakable mortals is a bad idea, others might say that meddling in dark forces with little chance of gain is also a bad idea, they would both be right by on all counts but they forget to mention also how incredibly stupid combining both of those things are. Stupid people don’t last so long on the mystic side of things, normal folks who wander over to the other side have a tendency to do one of two things, either A. figure out that the best thing to do is keep their head down and not draw attention from any entity that refers to humanity as “you mortals” , or B. something horrifying happens to them. As you may have guessed I fell into the second category, mostly because I thought there was a third option. See I though there must be an option C, an option where I got to end up not as some shitty back ally wizard cowering at the chance of discovery, praying that one of my wards or spells wouldn’t be noticed by something that goes bump in the night. No I would be the one who rose above all that. I would never have to be afraid. Well I made a good attempt at it that’s for damn sure, but unfortunately for me it turns out there is not an option C. At least not for me…
