《Mr's Little Sister || Jimin X Reader FF》Chapter 32: For When We Win

Without realizing, you fell asleep helplessly on your bed. That morning had felt a lot heavier, if that makes any sense at all.You picked up your phone and checked your time. It was only 10 AM, and you didn't have to meet up with Lisa till 12. You swung your feet over your bed and into your slippers. You then sluggishly walked over to the bathroom to shower and brush your teeth. Since Lisa had your costume, you decided to just put on a sweatshirt and jeans. You then lazily threw your hair up into a bun and walked down to the kitchen where your mom sat at the table, peacefully sipping her tea.
"Where's Joonie?" You slurred as you pulled out the oatmeal box and some strawberries.
"He had meetings today, so he left early. What time is your competition?"
"It starts at 2, but we don't go on until 7."
"Wow, 5 hours of different singers should be very interesting. I'm excited." Your mom enthusiastically stated as she clapped her hands. You chuckled and took a seat by your mother with your oatmeal and strawberries.
"Me too." You mumbled as you poured yourself some tea.
"Have a great day today Y/N."
"You too mom."
You gave your mom a kiss on the cheek before she walked through the door. You sighed and proceeded to eat your breakfast alone.
*
Around 11:40, you took it upon yourself to start walking to the bus stop a little early. As you were going to open your front door, you got a text message.
Where are you?
-Lisa ♥️
About to leave my house, why?
-Y/N
Don't, my mom is going to drive us. After I pick up Jungkook we'll make our way to you.
-Lisa ♥️
Okay. Thank you ☺️
-Y/N
No problem hon. How are you feeling? You okay?
-Lisa ♥️
Yea I'm okay, thanks. Call me when you're at the corner?
-Y/N
Will do.
-Lisa ♥️
You sighed and locked your phone before stuffing it back into your pocket, plopping onto the couch. About twenty minutes later, you got a call from Lisa telling you she was close to your house. Once again, you grabbed your things and waited outside for your ride.
As you were locking the door, you heard someone honking their car horn.
"Y/N ah~ !" Lisa yelled waving her hands. You gave her a sweet smile before taking a seat in the back of her mom's car next to Jungkook.
"Good morning Y/N." Her mom greeted.
"Morning."
You turned over to Jungkook and smiled at him before waving.
"Hey Kookie."
"Hey Y/N."
After you all greeted each other, you plugged in your headphones and pulled out your book to read on the way there.
About twenty minutes later, you three arrived at the building, and started to warm up your voices before practice.
The day went by pretty fast, and before you knew it, it was already time for hair and makeup. You straightened your hair, and did your makeup. You did simple nude eyeshadow, and your eyebrows, then winged your eyeliner and applied highlight onto your cheekbones and the tip of your nose. Then, you applied some lipstick, and some lip gloss as a coating. When you finished your hair and makeup, you put on your costume. It was a beautiful red dress that complimented your skin complexion beautifully. As you were getting ready, you kept on checking your phone to see if Jimin had called or texted at least once. But there was nothing.

I really hope he comes...
You kept repeating to yourself. You were deep in your thoughts, until there was a knock on the wall behind you.
"Y/N, are you ready?" You heard Lisa call out.
"Hm? Yea." You opened the curtain from your dressing area and saw Lisa's jaw drop.
"You look gorgeous Y/N!" She squealed as she grabbed your hand.
"Give me a twirl!"
You chuckled as she spun you around completely.
"You are literally flawless it's unfair."
You laughed and intertwined your arm with hers.
"As are you. Your black dress looks great." You complimented her.
"Yea well, backup wears black." She joked as she nudged your shoulder.
"Where's Jungkook?"
"He's here. Go practice some of your harmonies, we're on in half a hour."
You gave her an okay with your fingers before knocking on Jungkook's door.
"Come in!" He shouted from the other side.
You opened the door, and saw Jungkook in a red button up shirt, tucked into his black pants and shoes.
"Woah Kookie, looking spicy." You joked as you took a seat on the stool.
"Not to shabby yourself Y/N. What's up? You need something?"
"Eh? Oh, Lisa wanted me to practice with you..." You informed him as you fidgeted your fingers. Jungkook chuckled and ruffled your hair slightly, so he wouldn't mess it up.
"Are you nervous Y/N?" He questioned putting his hands in his pockets.
"Oh...yea, but not because I'll mess up. What if Jimin doesn't come..?" You mumbled as you looked at your maknae for answers.
"He'll show. God he better or I'm fighting him. For you personally Y/N." He stated, attempting to lighten the mood. You giggled and nudged him away from you playfully, before brushing your hair behind your ear.
"You think he'll come?"
"I talked to him, but there's no way I know for sure. Sorry Y/N..." Jungkook admitted scratching his head.
"Yah, you are so bad at this. You're supposed to tell me he's definitely coming." You joked rolling your eyes, crossing your arms.
Jungkook laughed and shook his head.
"Yea well, it's better to keep the other possibilities in mind."
You cleared your throat and stood up from your seat.
"You're right. Maybe...maybe it's just not our time..." you frowned as you looked down at your feet. Jungkook put his hand on your shoulder and patted it lightly.
"If your love is strong, things will work out Y/N. Promise." Jungkook gave you his cute bunny smile and pinched your cheek.
"Hey hey, I'm wearing makeup."
You slapped his hand away and laughed alongside him, before actually practicing your harmonies.
I looked at my clock and saw it was 5:47.
What happens if I don't go... what happens if me and Y/N don't end up together again? How can I face her after I said I wouldn't support her. Does she even want to see me? Well, she's the one who broke things off with me..? Right?
"Argh I hate this!! Kim Y/N what have you done to me!?!" I yelled as I threw my pillow at the ticking clock. I groaned in annoyance since I missed, and looked over at the teddy bear Y/N won for me.
"Aish...why do I feel guilty..?" I mumbled, raking my fingers through my hair.
I frowned as I remembered the look Y/N had on her face before I stormed off.
What if this whole thing is a misunderstanding...
I questioned.
There's only one way to find out, right? I need to apologize to her for being so rash. I haven't told her what I needed to either. But would she forgive me a second time?

"Five minutes until you all have to be in the wings guys." Lisa called out gathering everyone in one room.
You kept checking your phone for any sign of Jimin, to see if he would show up. But it was no use.
"To the wings guys!" A stage hand yelled out, guiding you all out the door. You sighed and set your phone back onto the dresser, before getting out of your seat.
Jungkook waited for you in the doorway, and smiled when you passed him. The two of you walked to the wings on stage right, waiting for the number ahead of you to be over.
"Are you nervous?" He whispered.
"Are you kidding? I'm a wreck." You joked as you crossed your arms. Jungkook chuckled and shook his head.
"You'll be great. Don't worry about it." He ensured you as he patted your shoulder.
"Good luck Kookie." You gave him a hug as he walked onto the stage in the dark. When the music started, Jungkook began singing, and your cue was soon. You took a deep breath, and walked onto the stage. Your voice and Jungkook's mixed almost perfectly perfectly. You scanned the crowd as much as you could, but there was no sign of Jimin. You tried your best to stay in character, but the more you searched, the harder your heart pounded.
The high note is soon. You can't think about him right now Y/N. Take a deep breath.
You repeated in your head. You and Jungkook made eye contact, and you could see the faint smile he gave you. He turned his back to the audience, still looking at you.
"You can do it Y/N." He mouthed before turning around. You nodded your head and smiled as you both faced the audience.
You and Jungkook sang a little while longer, before successfully hitting the high note smoothly, with a round sound to your voice. The crowd cheered loudly as you held the note. When the song ended, the crowd roared as you and your friends took a final bow. The lights darkened, and you all headed back to the dressing room.
"Guys! We did it! It sounded amazing!" Lisa stated, enthusiastically clapping her hands. You smiled and nodded your head before taking the seat at your mirror. All you could do was stare at your black phone screen. Not one text from Jimin. You sighed and raked your fingers through your hair. You felt your eyes water at the thought of Jimin actually not being there.
"Okay guys, awards are soon, so we need you in the wings."
You quickly dabbed your eye before the tear could escape your eye. Especially since you were wearing makeup.
You looked over to Jungkook, who held out his hand to you with a sweet smile on his face.
"Don't cry Y/N, save the tears for when we win."
You chuckled softly before taking his hand, walking down the hall with him and Lisa by your side. You walked onto the stage and stood next to the other extremely talented groups.
"Good evening everyone. Hope you all enjoyed the performance." The man announced as the audience clapped. "We're going to announce the top three groups for tonight. As you might know, the winner's are offered full scholarships to our summer program in New York City, and if applied to Juilliard, a full scholarship there as well." The audience clapped and whistled again.
"In third place, we have SFHE. Please come up and get your award."
A boy and girl standing behind you came up and held their plaque next to the announcer.
"In second place, we have Nathan Chandler, with HSEE! Please come up and get your award."
A boy from behind came up and accepted the silver medal from the man, before standing next to the people who got theirs. You felt your heart beat as the man grabbed the next envelope, with a golden ribbon.
"And finally ladies and gentlemen, the winner of tonight's competition. He slowly opened the lid before pulling out the papers. All you could feel was your anxiety build up.
What if I don't even win? I wouldn't be going to New York. Not without a full scholarship. I would have ruined me and Jimin for no reason...
You continued to question yourself, when suddenly, you heard the crowd roar, taking you out of your thoughts. When you looked up from the ground, you saw Jungkook smiling, with his hand reached out to you.
"We won!" He yelled. You felt your eyes tear up as you grabbed his hand. Jungkook pulled you slightly so you could walk, and the both of you accepted the trophy, and certificate.
"Congratulations Kim Y/N and Jeon Jungkook. You both applied for Juilliard, and now have a full scholarship."
Everyone clapped and cheered loudly as you and your friends took a bow.
"Thanks for coming everyone! Make sure you have a great night! Thanks for participating, and we'll see you next year!"
You and all your friends cheered and bowed to the other groups, before heading to your dressing room. Everyone said congrats to you and Jungkook before leaving.
"Y/N you were amazing!" Lisa complimented as she hugged you. "You too Jungkook."
"Thanks Lisa." He smiled and joined in on the hug too.
"It's still pretty early, let's head out to dinner!" Jungkook suggested.
"My mom and Joonie are outside right now going to BBQ, want to come?" You offered as you grabbed your bag.
"Wish I could, but I'm supposed to go with my dad to visit my grandmother. I'll catch you guys next time?"
"Yea, no problem Lisa."
She smiled and gave you one last hug before leaving.
"So just us?" You questioned looking back at Jungkook.
"You bet!"
You smiled and walked out with him, and to your family. Namjoon smiled when he saw you approaching, and tapped your mom who was talking to Yoongi. When her eyes met yours, she smiled brightly before opening up her arms.
"Y/N, you were amazing!" She yelled as she squeezed you tightly in her arms. You chuckled before releasing, to then hug Joonie, who handed you a bouquet of flowers.
"You too Kook, it was beautiful." Namjoon complimented as he pat his shoulder.
"I agree! Are you going to join us for dinner?" Your mom questioned as you all exited the the concert hall.
"If it's okay with you Mrs.Kim."
"Of course it is!"
You smiled at him before getting in the back seat with Jungkook. The ride to the restaurant was interesting considering Namjoon was trying to sing the whole way there. You and Jungkook laughed at his screeching, your mom eventually joining in too. Once you got to the BBQ restaurant, you took your seats and had a delicious dinner. All this good energy had mostly eliminated your thoughts about Jimin, but not entirely. Now you really have to tell him that you're leaving.
I can't just leave without telling him goodbye..
You thought as you ate your food. You tried to hide that you were upset, which worked for the most part, until Jungkook stood up from his seat.
"I'm going to go, thank you for the meal!" Jungkook bowed his head at your mom and Joonie before you. When he finished, he nodded his head at you before leaving.
Did he just...read my mind or something??
You questioned. You looked back at your mom and Namjoon paying the bill.
"We're going to Auntie's house. Are you tired?"
"Huh..? Oh yeah a little."
"How about I drive you home then, and mom and I will see you tomorrow. Sound good?"
You nodded your head and got out of your seat before heading to the car. The ride home seemed a little fast, mostly because you knew that once you were home, you were going to be alone again.
Maybe I should text Lisa and tell her to come over.
Before you could text her, you got a call from Taehyung. You hesitated, but you picked up.
"Hey Y/N!" He shouted out enthusiastically.
"Hey Tae, what's up?"
"Not much. How did your show go? I'm sorry I couldn't be there, but Lisa sent me a video. You did amazing! And congratulations on your scholarship. It's crazy that you're going to New York Y/N! Tell me what America's like okay?!"
You chuckled as you pictured Taehyung's cute smile.
"Thank you Taehyung. I'll be sure to text you everyday."
"You better! Don't forget me when you get discovered." He joked.
"I won't. Promise."
Taehyung laughed on the line before clearing his throat.
"Did you talk to Jimin today?"
You didn't answer. You couldn't. Taehyung sighed before speaking again to break the silence.
"He didn't show, did he?"
"...No....he didn't."
"It'll get better Y/N, I promise."
"Sure. I'm gonna let you go Taehyung. I'm tired."
"Okay, sleep Y/N ah~"
"You too Taehyung."
With that, you hung up your phone, and when you did, you were home.
"Alright Y/N, this is your stop."
"Okay. Later Joonie, later mom." You gave them both a kiss on the cheek before grabbing your things. You stepped up to the door and unlocked it, stepping into the hallway. You closed the door and walked into the dim lights of the living room. Only a candle had been lit, and the moonlight shined into the room. Even though it was a bit dark, you could see clearly.
Perfectly clear.
You couldn't believe it. You felt your chest clench, and the lump in your throat return.
"J-Jimin?"
