《Harry Hook X Reader X Carlos De Vil》Chapter 28

I waited for Carlos outside of the practice room, wanting to know what he has to say.
"(Y/N)!"
I looked over to see Carlos running towards my direction with Jay a couple of steps away from him.
"Hey, what did you want to talk about?" I asked, fully facing him.
"Well, uh, would you go to cotillion with me?" He asked, sheepishly.
I laughed, making him look at me in confusion.
I stopped and wrapped my arms around his neck.
"I've been waiting so long for you to ask that! Of course, I thought you'd ask me earlier than this but I understand."
I pecked his lips as he gave me a smile.
"Thanks, I can't wait to be with my lovely girlfriend tonight."
He kissed my lips and walked in the room, pulling me with him.
"Boys! Let's bring it in."
Jay ordered the team as I looked over at them from the side.
"Y'all know I come from the Isle, right? Things are pretty wack." He chuckled.
"But there is one thing the Isle's got in Auradon. If you're strong, I want you by our side. Girl or boy." Jay said, making Chad laugh in disbelief.
"What? Jay hold on, we don't break the rules here in Auradon." Chad leaned in to Jay, making me roll my eyes at his behavior.
Jay pulled out the rule book from his pocket and read a page.
"The team shall be comprised with a captain and eight men. So, uh, give it up to your new team captain."
I saw Lonnie run towards the guys as Jay gave her the whistle.
All of the boys, except Chad, clapped and bowed down to her.
"Fine." Chad said and bowed to her.
She blew her whistle. "Give me ten! Come on, guys!"
Lonnie then walked over behind Chad and put her foot on his back.
After that, she then blew her whistle again.
"Okay, practice is over. Get out of here, go get ready for cotillion."
The boys walked out the room, and I went towards Jay and Lonnie.
"Great idea, Jay." I said once the three of us left.
"You guys should be eachother's dates at the cotillion!" I suggested, making them look at me.
"That isn't a bad idea. What do you say, Jay?" Lonnie asked as we looked at him for an answer.
He shrugged, "Sure, why not?"
The both of them smiled at eachother while we walk towards our dorms.
~~~
I was dancing with Evie and Doug as I waited for Carlos who had gone somewhere.
The guards blew the trumpets as Lumiere stood at the top of the stairs of the yacht.
"The future lady, Mal." Lumiere announced, making me and Evie hold hands.
"Hey, what'd I miss?" Carlos appeared next to me.
"Where have you been?" I asked, turning to him.
"At the food table."
"Food table? That long?" I asked but he cut me off,
"Shh! Mal's coming."
I looked at Mal as she stopped infront of us, all of us clapped and cheered.
Once she walked down, she first talked with Beast and Belle then Evie guided her towards us.
"King Benjamin!" Lumiere announced as Ben walked out towards the top of the stairs.
All of us also clapped and cheered for him, and then bowed before him.
"Go get him." I said to Mal as I nudged her towards him.
The both of them bowed to eachother and Ben had a sad expression on his face.
"Mal, I wish I had time to explain." Ben said, making all of us confused.
Uma walked out for everyone to see her and walked down the stairs towards us.
Ben kissed the back of her hand and stood before all of us, especially Mal.
"I'm sorry. It all happened so fast, something happened to me when I was on the Isle with Uma." Ben explained, looking lovingly at Uma.
"A connection." He added, making all of us shocked.
"What are you saying?" Mal asked in disbelief.
"I'm saying..."
"It was love!" Uma cut Ben off, laughing at the word.
"I just, I realized how alike Ben and I are. You know?" Uma looked over at Mal then back to Ben.
"Ben." Mal called, but he didn't turn to her.
"Ben!"
He finally looks at her.
"Did you go back for her?" Mal asked, disbelief laced in her voice.
"He didn't have to, I dove through the barrier before it closed and... I'm an excellent swimmer, so." Uma explained, laughing with Ben once again.
Uma grabbed Mal's hand, making her slightly flinch.
"Listen, Mal. I just really wanna thank you, I do. For everything."
She went to hug her, making me and my friends look at eachother suspiciously.
"Don't you see, Mal? You were right! You knew that we weren't meant to be together, that's why you never told me you love me." Ben said.
They now danced together, leaving Mal to cry by herself.
Evie pulled Mal towards us and we comforted her.
"Not too thrilled, I risked my life for him." I heard Carlos say, making me gently smack him.
He looked at me, "What?"
I rolled my eyes and went to hug Mal's side.
"Let's get out of here." Jay said and we hurried to leave with Mal.
Beast and Belle stopped Mal for a moment and I heard Jane order Lumiere to reveal Ben's surprise for Mal.
All of us looked to the end of the yacht to see a stained glass portrait of Ben and Mal.
"Ben did that?" Mal asked.
"Yeah." Evie replied, looking at her.
"Ben knows who I was all along."
"He loves the real you, Mal." I said, smiling as we walk towards the floor.
"True love." Mal said in awe, staring at Ben's gift.
"Yeah." Evie replied.
"Told you." Carlos said, making us look at him.
"Cover that back up!" Uma shouted, finally dropping her facade.
"I will not!" Lumiere remarked, making us all look at the lying sea witch.
She looked around and then stopped at Ben's direction.
"Uh, why don't you tell everyone the present you have for me, Ben?" Uma said, faking her smile.
"I have an announcement!" Ben shouted, making our attention to him now.
"Uma will be joining the court tonight as my lady."
Beast walked up to them, "Son--"
"Not now, Dad!" Ben shouted at his father.
He wouldn't do that unless...
"Uh, so as my gift to her, I'm bringing down the barrier once and for all!" Ben continued, going back to his normal self.
All of us looked around in shock and in disbelief.
"Fairy Godmother!" Ben called, "Bring down the barrier!"
"I most certainly will not!" Fairy Godmother shouted back, making Uma mad.
"I am your king!"
"Obey him!"
Ben and Uma shouted to her, making the headmistress gasp.
"Ben's been spelled!" Mal and I said in unison, looking at eachother.
"Uma found your spell book!" Evie said, also realizing.
"Ben!" Mal called and walked towards him.
Uma and Mal tried to steal his attention while Uma orders Fairy Godmother to bring down the barrier.
"Ben, I never told you that I loved you because I thought I wasn't good enough. And I thought it was only a matter of time before you realize that yourself, but then. That's me!"
Mal pointed to the portrait, "I'm part Isle and part Auradon! And then, you'd always known who we were and who we can be."
"Don't listen to her." Uma said, but he still listened to Mal.
"Ben, I know what love feels like now. And Ben, of course I love you. Ben, I've always loved you."
Mal and Ben shared a kiss and the spell was broken.
Finally!
"True love's kiss, works everytime." Evie and I said in unison, watching the majestic scene.
"Give that to me!"
Uma ran towards Fairy Godmother but Evie and I managed to stop her.
"Guards! Seize her!" The headmistress shouted, making Uma run towards the railings.
"No! Wait! Stop!" Mal shouted, trying to stop the other people on the yacht.
"Uma, I know you. You are so much more than just a villain, and you have to believe me because I've been there. Do not let your pride get in the way of something that you really want!" Mal tried to reason with her.
Uma looked at all of us, her necklace glowing.
She then jumped off the boat and transformed into a giant octopus.
She laughed evilly and said, "True love's kiss won't defeat this!"
"The world will know my name!" Uma attacked us and we backed away, splashing water on us in the process.
Luckily I didn't put so much make up!
Purple smoke emitted from Mal's body and she turned into a dragon, just like what her mother did six months ago.
Mal and Uma started to fight, and Ben jumped into the water just to stop them.
"That's enough! This got to stop! This isn't the answer! The fighting has gotta stop, nobody wins this way. We have to listen and respect eachother. It won't be easy, but luckily we're brave enough to try. Uma, I know you want what's best for the Isle. Help me make a difference!"
Ben offered his hand to Uma as we watched the intense scene infront of us.
We waited for something to happen as Uma reached out one of her tentacles to Ben, giving back his ring.
Uma dove down into the water without a word, leaving all of us speechless.
Ben managed to climb back up to the boat and we cheered for him.
Mal transformed back into her normal form and extinguishing the small smokes coming from her new purple dress.
We chuckled at the action and I noticed that her dress kinda looks like the one in Ben's gift.
Mal laughed happily as she and Ben bowed to eachother, and the guards guiding her down the stairs.
Evie went to Mal's side and they walked towards us, Ben and Mal shared another kiss making me look at Carlos.
He hugged me from behind and I leaned on his body, staring happily at the royal couple.
They pulled away and Ben looked around us.
"I owe you guys so much."
All of us agreed and laughed.
"If there is anything you need or anything I can do for you." Ben continued, looking at us hopefully.
"Um..."
All of us looked at Evie.
"Actually, there is..." She looked at the Isle and continued,
"I know a girl who would really love to come to Auradon. It's Drizella's daughter, Dizzy. She's like a little sister to me."
"Then she should come." Ben said, making us smile.
"Okay!" Evie laughed happily, looking down at her feet.
"Actually, um..." Evie was about to say something more, making us laugh at her cuteness.
"Ben, there's a lot of kids who would really love it here at Auradon. Kids just like us who deserves a second chance. Can I maybe get you a list?" Evie added, making Ben nod.
"Yes! Absolutely! Please." Ben said, making everyone clap.
"Lady Mal,"
A royal guard went next to Ben and Mal, holding Mal's spell book.
"We found your spell book below deck, Uma had it."
"Ooh, uh... You know, this seems like the kind of thing that belongs in the hand of Fairy Godmother. Fairy Godmother!"
The headmistress immediately went to Mal after she heard her name,
"That's me. Thank you, mhmm."
"This belongs in the museum." Mal said as Fairy Godmother grabbed it.
"It does, yes, and I'm gonna take it."
"Go for it."
All of us laughed as Fairy Godmother walked away.
"I'm not gonna be needing it anymore."
Mal and Ben stared at eachother before she splashed Ben with water which is on the deck.
Ben splashed her back and the song started.
Once it finished, we all went for a group hug.
Laughing and smiling and enjoying the moment.
I looked around for Carlos but I couldn't see him anywhere.
"Hey guys, have you seen Carlos?" I asked, continuing to look around.
I saw a glimpse of Carlos' outfit running towards below deck.
I got curious and followed him.
Only to see him pinning Jane to a wall and kissing her.
Why do I feel like I've seen this before?
I covered my mouth with both my hands and backed away.
Jane noticed me and pulled away from Carlos.
Making me glare at the both of them,
"How could you?! Of all people?!"
Carlos immediately ran towards me but I raised my hand to stop him to come any closer.
"(Y/N), I'm sorry! I didn't know how to tell you, you were always with Mal and Evie, and you're stressed with the cotillion stuff--"
"So you think Jane has the time?! Is that why you two are always together?!"
I cut him off and he fell silent.
I looked away then back at them in disbelief, "How long has this been going on?"
Carlos was about to answer when Jane beat him to it.
"About a month ago..."
My eyes widened at this and I felt tears building up.
"I'm sorry, (Y/N)... I shouldn't have agreed to Carlos but he persuaded me to continue this secret relationship, I--"
I shook my head and Jane knew that's her cue to stop talking.
"You know what? You two can keep your bloody relationship, and make it public! Because Carlos and I are done!" I shouted and ran upstairs, hearing Carlos and Jane calling my name.
Tears kept falling from my eyes as I grabbed my pouch of pixie dust and sprinkled a little on me.
"(Y/N)! Where's Carlos?"
"And why are you crying?"
Evie and Faith asked from behind me but I didn't answer them, and continued to fly towards the dorms.
I flew down to the castle's balcony and slid down on a wall, pulling my knees to my chest.
Why didn't I just believed my gut?! Of all people, Carlos?!
I shouldn't have left the Isle and just be with Harry!
I cried my heart out while the others are still on the yacht.
Carlos and Jane can now make their relationship official and public. They don't have to worry about me or about keeping it a secret anymore...
...I just wish this isn't the end of the story.
