《Harry Hook X Reader X Carlos De Vil》Chapter 2

Eversince then, I would always sneak to the Isle just to spend time with him.
If dad asked me where I was, I would tell him I was with the lost girls, daughters of the lost boys in dad's time.
The girls know that I sneak out to the Isle, but instead of hanging out with Harry, they think that I prank the people there just for fun.
Not a bad idea though.
My crush-- I mean my bestfriend, Harry...
Oh, who am I kidding?!
You guys already figured it out by now.
Harry is my bestfriend but he is also the one who stole my heart, gosh cheesy much?
But that's the truth, he did with his sneaky hands and gorgeous face.
But do you remember that I asked him earlier about girl problems?
You see...
He told me that he liked Mal, daughter of Maleficent, and wanted my advice.
Dating is really not a thing they do in the Isle.
So being the only person who has experienced love, he didn't think twice on asking me.
What are bestfriends for, right?
Even though it hurts, he's still my bestfriend and I love him to death.
He got over her eventually and fell in love with his captain, Uma, the daughter of Ursula.
He sometimes explains to me that she's just his bestfriend and he doesn't like her like that, but I know what a lovesick person looks like.
Just look at the mirror and you'll see one.
Gosh, how much longer does he need to realize that I'm here, the one who truly loves him?
I shook my head, frowning down at Harry's sleeping form and stopped playing with his hair.
"Why'd you stop?"
I flinched at the sudden sound of his voice, breaking my train of thought.

"Sorry..." I sat up and looked at the body of water surrounding the Isle.
"You've been really quiet since I came, is it about your birthday?" Harry said as he sat up and looked over at me.
Shoot! I forgot that my birthday's tomorrow! Who would forget their own birthday??
"You don't have to worry about anything, lass. I think I can survive a day without you here."
He chuckled as he wrapped his arm around my waist.
We're just friends but why are we okay with being in a position like this?
If somebody sees us like this, they'd think that the two of us were actually dating.
I hugged him.
"It's just that, I don't want to celebrate my birthday without you..." I muttered against his chest.
"I think you should probably open my present now then."
He let go of me and pulled out a necklace out of his pocket.
I looked at him cautiously and teasingly with a smirk.
"Did you steal this?"
The both of us laughed.
"Do you really think I want a secondhand jewelry to give to my bestfriend?" He said in mock hurt as I playfully hit his chest, lowkey hurt at the word 'bestfriend'.
I turned my back towards him so he can put the necklace around my neck.
Once he was done, I took a look at it and it was a star.
"We match."
I looked over at Harry to see him show off the exactly same necklace that was already around his neck.
So it's a couple necklace?
"We do."
I smiled and we hugged eachother again, "Thanks, captain."
I felt him slightly tense up at the nickname but then went back to normal.
We pulled away and looked at eachother.

"Remember the story you told me, that the second star to the right is Neverland?"
I looked at him confused.
"Yeah? What does that have to do with my birthday?"
"Can't you just wait? You're so impatient all the time." Harry said as he ruffled my hair.
He then held my hand and had a genuine smile on his face, I felt as if butterflies were flying inside my stomach.
"You're my second star to the right, where my Neverland is located."
I felt the tears welling up as I smiled at him,
"You're mine too."
The tears started to fall but Harry was quick to wipe them.
His hand remained on my cheek as he slowly leaned in, "Happy birthday, love."
Our lips almost touched when we heard footsteps.
Harry immediately stood up and raised his sword, pointing it at the person.
"Woah! Calm down, bro! It's just me."
Gil slightly backed away and casually waved once he saw me.
"Hi, (Y/N)!"
I waved back awkwardly.
Gil was the son of Gaston, Harry's friend in their pirate crew.
We rarely see eachother and this one was just like the other encounters, ruining the moment.
Harry lowered his sword, "What is it this time, Gil?" He asked, obviously annoyed.
Gil scratched the back of his neck and said, "Uma's been wondering where you've been going and told me to tell you that she wants to talk to you."
I walked over to them and put a reassuring hand on Harry's arm.
He glanced down at me as I said, "It's okay. You should go, we don't want Uma feed you to the sharks."
Harry gave me an apologetic smile and we grabbed our stuff. "I should get going too."
I was about to walk away but he grabbed my hand, "I'm really sorry, lass."
I held his other hand and said, "I told you, it's fine. See you tomorrow, Hook."
I let go and walked away, not daring to look back.
If I did, it would only break my heart even more.

Lone: The Wanderer [Dropped Version (includes original draft of the rewrite's first volume)]
Nine-to-five. The daily grind. Life. Painful years of school. Working as a slave for some undeserving corporate big-wig. The monotonous life of unemployment. We all experience this in one way or another, and we can all conclude one thing: it's dull. Such a fact rings true even for the fabled Lone Immortus, a powerful nine-tailed Golden Foxkin. However, what would you do if your monotony was suddenly ground to a halt and you were thrown out of your comfort zone along with a young girl forgotten by time? Perhaps you might have done things differently, been more organised, immediately died, gained control of the world in a matter of days, but this is Lone's tale, not yours. Watching two insecure people struggle to survive and find their place in an unfamiliar land just might be enjoyable to witness. Who knows? One thing's for certain: it won't be an easy path for them to tread, and what could possibly be more entertaining than watching people endure hardships and grow? I know of at least eight gods that would answer with, 'Absolutely nothing.' I wonder, after seeing this journey from start to finish, how would you answer? [Goal of 2 chapters per week, the only exceptions being announced breaks or emergencies] A/N: This story is in the middle of a rewrite, so please forgive any noticeable plot holes and wonky chapter numbers. I am working on it every day, so understanding would be greatly appreciated. The new cover art is a courtesy of the very kind and talented ssddx. This novel is a participant in The Writer's Pledge
