( 3rd POV )
"Ugh!" The Forest elder exclaimed as she slams both hands to the desk making it shake, (y/n) shrieked as she saw the woman growling under her breath.
"Yeah, okay... Let's forget everything I said" (y/n) said as she started to regret her words. She looked at her in dissatisfaction, while (y/n) trying to find a way out of this situation. "You're lucky you're my sister" she grumbled as she sat back.
"Those kids got on your nerves again huh?"
"Oh of course! Can you see the damage they cost? It's not easy to discipline all of them!"
"I mean, they're just kids. They just learn things, take it easy. I'm sure they'll understand one day or later" (y/n) reassure her as she calmed down but still annoyed
"you know what, you take care of those youngsters for me. I need room to cool down" She said as she stands and leaves (y/n) sitting in the chair alone. "If you say so" she answered
(Y/n POV)
I closed the big gate and fly through the stairs, it's a real disappointment the fact my sister hates the kids, I get it. They're just being a troublemaker and all they do is just making a mess. But everything can be cleaned right?
I walked to the main treehouse where I expect the kids to be playing there.
As I got there my mind was right, they were there. But not in the way they usually are. I slowly walked up to them entering their treehouse, the little boy with the ripped yellow cape dangling in its neck looked up at me then frowned.

"Why are you making that face?" I asked, he looked back at me "you're not going to punish us?" He asked with a sad tone, it breaks my core to hear him say that
"No of course not, I'm here just to talk with you all" I started gently, they all seem to be relieved with my words.

After a couple of talks, we decided to share jokes and laugh, and eventually, I didn't even realize it was turning late outside. "Alright guys, I have fun with you all today. It was nice talking to you guys" I said as I patted one of them.
"Will you come back again?" The Forester asked, I chuckled as I hug her "of course. Why wouldn't I?" She happily hugged back
"Yay! We'll play again!" The Adventurer chanted as the other cheered as well, I actually will come back. But it's just, I still want to have more fun with them. Then an idea came to my mind
"Hey, I have an idea"
They all looked at me, "why don't you all come to the temple with me? We'll sleep there, this place does look good. But I think it's too cold for you all"
They all looked up to me, happiness fills them as their eyes lit in sparkle "Yay! We got to sleep with Mistress (y/n)"
I blushed at the sight of all cheering, not gonna lie. I don't regret this moment, I know that my sister is going to be mad at this. But these kids are too adorable to be left alone.
"C'mon, let's go before it rains again."
I opened the big doors, leading them to my room, for some reason at this point they all followed me in a perfect line. It's like a baby duck following its mother. As I reached my bedroom door, I push the door revealing the medieval-style bedroom.

"Woah!? This is where you sleep?" The Botanist looked around while pacing around, the other went inside "it must be lucky to sleep in a place like this!"
"Yes it is, but it gets pretty boring you know. Now, let's get a good rest!" I said as I started to tackle them all pushing them to my big queen-sized bed as they laughed. They were pretty big enough for all of us to sleep in the same bed.
"Alright, enough of playing. Let's get to rest first, and then we can play again tomorrow" I said as I drift them all to sleep peacefully beside me.
Morning
I slowly opened my eyes as I heard snickering around me, I fully opened my eyes and looked around me.
"What so funny?" I asked
The scout chuckled "pfft- why don't you look at the mirror?" He said softly handing me a small mirror, I looked at my reflection seeing some small drawing on my face. I gasped at the sight of my face being tainted with ink
"Oh, you are going to regret that!" I joked as I tackled the scout to the bed tickling, he laughed. As I was done tickling looked at the other. They ran in different directions as I chased them one by one.
We sat down laughing as some sweat dripped, "alright. Look what you all did now, my room is a mess now" I sighed. They all looked at me "we can help you clean it back" they all said as they start to help me stand.
"Alright then, let's get work done here"
As we were cleaning, everything we're doing fine. We were making good and quick progress but still playing around. After a couple of hours of teamwork, we got the job done. We looked around seeing everything is tidy enough, they all clapped and high five each other
"Oh yeah come to think of it, you all haven't been doing an offensive prank on me besides smearing ink on my face, and you all seem to be normal around me, what happens to you guys lately? I'm expecting a lot of trouble here" I asked
They all looked at each other before looking back at me "well, we kind of see you as a mother figure towards us Miss (y/n)" the Scout stated.
I was touched by his words, I'll gladly adopt these kids, I've always dreamed to be a mother without a man. "Oh you all, you guys are so kind, maybe this day ill be your mom"
They all smiled under their mask and tackle my leg in a hug. "Yay! We love you, mom!"

Haven in a Dangerous World (Old)
Devin McMullen. Female. 18. Single dad. Dead mom. Good in fights and little else. No friends. Or, at least, that's what she's always been. Now, she's not sure exactly what she is. She's never been one for reading fiction, or anything for that matter, but this feels like something straight out of a fantasy. Her newly acquired instincts, however, scream dungeon core. Whatever that is. Unlike most dungeon cores, though, she's missing something very important. A dungeon. Stuck out in the open, above ground where she's definitely not supposed to be, with not a cave in sight, or any other land form besides miles and miles of ice and snow, Devin's not sure if she can survive. Update: Big caveate, though, just so you know. Started with this one idea and ran with it as far as I could. Characters and plot suffer from it, but I'm proud that I wrote as much as I did. I will rewrite this at some point and make it so it actually has plot. Check out my wordpress © [koallary] and [Haven in a Dangerous World], [2017]. Author's Rant
Just a disclaimer, this is not and never will be a story. I just, noticed I have a bad habit of wanting to rant in my author's notes, and have decided that, instead of accidentally doubling the length of each chapter with the author's note alone, I will shove those long-ass rants here. It might contain spoilers for my stories, as I usually wind up ranting about different parts I'm writing. So, if you actually enjoy my rants...well, firstly, what is wrong with you? Secondly, welcome! Time to figure out what tags to stick on this. Also, as of the second chapter, I have decided to shove some of my story ideas here. So if you enjoy half-baked, unfinished stories, then I got those too. I think that adds that short story tag?
