Liliana's PoV
"Really thought I'd be done with the hardest part when I pulled myself out of your arms," I spoke softly as I reminisced about all of our good times together.
I'm an idiot but I wasn't ready.
He broke up with me. But technically, I sort of did when I said no.
"Wish I knew that was only the start," he grumbled out.
"Say it with more feeling," I demanded before replaying the song from the start. He let out a sigh before I glared at him, shutting him up.
One of the many huge memorable memories I now have is of tonight.
~Flashback~
"Every moment with you is precious and something I want to treasure forever. I love you, I really do and that's why I know I can't live without you again because before when we were apart, I was merely surviving. I wasn't even alive. Hell, I wasn't even living. You've turned me into who I am today and I'm grateful to you for that because you've changed me from some heartless fucker to someone that actually cares. I know that I want to spend forever with you. I want to grow a family with you. I want to go on more vacations with you. I want to love you forever. I want you, Lili. And I hope you feel the same so Liliana Romano, will you marry me?"
Did he just-? I think he did.
I held my breath as he opened the box revealing a ring. I let out a gasp. The ring was a silver, maybe rose gold. I couldn't really tell because there wasn't a lot of light emitting from the lanterns. The ring had some tiny but very real diamonds scattered along the band, which joined together making a small little pattern and in the middle of that was a rock.

Not a literal rock.
A big diamond sat in the middle of it that was definitely worth a hell of a lot of karats. It was stunning.
I always thought that an engagement ring was supposed to be simple but I guess in our world, simple doesn't exist.
"Lili?," he asked, snapping me out of my gaze on the ring.
"Oh my god," I breathed out shakily. I tore my gaze from the ring to his face. I could tell he was nervous. "I'm warning you that once I say yes there's no going back. You'll be stuck with me forever."
"That's the aim."
"Yes," I breathed out with a slight chuckle.
He took the ring out of the box and slid it on my finger before he grabbed my waist and connected our lips.
Just like the first time we kissed, I felt the butterflies and everything else. I don't think that feeling is ever gonna go away and to be honest, I hope it doesn't.
My arms wrapped around his neck, pulling him closer to me. Both of us still on our knees, we stood there breathless. Our foreheads rested against each others as we held hands. "I want everything you said," I spoke softly. "I love you Seb."
"I love you more." He placed a light kiss on my forehead as his arms wrapped themselves around me, pulling me in for a hug.
"We're actually engaged."
~End Of Flashback~
"If you say it with more feeling, we can get back together in the next three minutes," I said trying to negotiate with him. He let out a sigh, agreeing with me as he sat up straighter in his seat trying to be able to sing to the best of his limited abilities.

"Last night for the very first time," he lightly sang. "You didn't even try to call."
"Oh I, I won't lie," I continued, getting deep in my feelings. "I thought I might die."
"Are we done now?," he asked, interrupting me just as I was getting into my emotions. I let out a sigh and nodded my head.
"We're back together now. Wanna propose again?"
"I did it perfectly the first time."
"Is that why there was a line of sweat visible on your forehead?," I asked with a chortle. He glared at me.
"It was not sweat. It was rain water."
"Where did this rain water magically appear from?"
"The sky," he answered in a duh tone.
"The sky that's perfectly clear and starry?"
"Just shut up," he grumbled, knowing he wouldn't win this mini argument.
In case you're wondering what happened, we got in the car and I stupidly realised that I probably won't ever end up heartbroken again so I suggested breaking up for a few minutes just so I could feel the song. And it worked because I loved doing that and I want to do it more often.
But I won't because I care about his feelings.
But he enjoyed it. I know he did even though he acted like he didn't want to sing along.
It's just because he was jealous of my amazing voice. He just got scared and that's understandable.
"I'm glad we're actually doing things our way this time," I told him as I admired the gorgeous ring on my finger.
It's actually really weird how he knew exactly how I wanted to be proposed to.
"How did you know that was dream proposal?," I asked him curiously. "I've never told you or anyone else."
"That's a secret I'll try to take the grave or at least keep until the minutes before I die."
I never told Valentina, mostly because when we were kids I thought she'd steal my dream and I wanted it to be mine and perfect.
I was an ambitious kid.
Suddenly, my phone rang. Vin.
"Hey," I spoke. "We're just-."
"Oh my god! We're married!," I could hear him scream from afar.
I think he butt dialled me.
"Vin! Who did you marry? Oh god, I really really hope you married a stuffed animal."
Sebastian's eyes widened as he slammed his foot down on the brake, halting the car and almost causing an accident before begging me silently to put it on loudspeaker.
"We're fucking married!," another voice screamed out in happiness.
Valentina.
"Is that...?"
"I think it is," I replied.
"They butt dialled us. They're definitely in Vegas," Seb spoke. "That fucker. Who the fuck gave him the keys to that?"
I shrugged my shoulders. "I guess tomorrow they can renew their vows without actually renewing them?"
"That works," Sebastian shrugged. "It's better than cancelling the whole thing."
I hummed know agreement. "The whole mafia is invited."
"WE'RE MARRIED IN VEGAS, BABY!," they both shrieked in happiness at the same time reminding me that I never cut the call.
I could imagine them both jumping up and down and holding hands.
I really hope their wedding goes ahead as planned regardless of their wild trip in Vegas.

Windwalker
Having subdued its surrounding enemies, the former Sulic Empire is faced with unrest brewing from within. Society is torn in two. The reigning mentalists constantly persecute the subjugated elementals under the pretence of curbing the explosive potential of their destructive powers. Meanwhile, schemes and political interests clash as different groups within the Governance military elite vie for control. And in the shadows, Sulic’s old enemies have been lying in wait a long time, looking for the first sign of weakness to make their move. Against this backdrop, two ordinary individuals fight to maintain stability from opposing sides: a low ranking telepathic recruit with nothing to his name but good intentions, and an unregistered elemental contractor with a murky past. Can they reconcile their differences and help steer Sulic away from tearing itself apart? Windwalker explores themes of societal struggle and self-discovery. Book One: Rising Wind Kal has trained to be a soldier his entire life. His days are simple, and his duties clear: enforce the rules, upkeep the peace, and most important — police the elementals. If they step out of line, the Governance system corrects it. But when Kal encounters a young boy whom he suspects might be an illegal earthborn, he can’t bring himself to report him. Despite his training and the advice of friends, he decides to help him onto what he believes is the right path. This choice lands him in more trouble than he bargained for, and he soon discovers that the veneer the Governance is built upon an ugly and crumbling foundation.

The Blight
Ten years ago, the Blight appeared. A beautiful forest, where the leaves and animals glowed brilliantly at night. It became a wonder of the entire world, and people began venturing from across the continent to visit it. No one took it any more seriously than that, not in the beginning. Then the disappearances started. At first, it was just farm animals and pets. Then, hunters and travelers close to dusk. By the time children started disappearing from villages, it was too late to do anything. The Blight was spreading, from tree to tree like a sickness, crawling out in all directions. The animals and beasts inside it changed as well. They grew larger, stronger, and more ferocious than anything seen before. Simple farm animals became horrific monsters, distorted to disgusting proportions and violently spreading chaos out from the forest. When the first reports came in of infected animals dragging people alive off into the forest... then the real panic began. Towns fell to the Blight, then cities. Armies were sent to push it back, and were overrun. Heroes and legends ventured out, to no avail. Soon, it was public knowledge to all: Those who entered the forest, never returned. ...So what happens when a young boy comes out of the forest, carrying nothing but a dagger and remembering nothing but his own name?
