Liliana's PoV
"I never meant for any of this to happen," I told him, honestly. "I didn't mean to leave. It's not like I planned it months before. I didn't. I was having a rough time and I wanted out. Please, please, please, Dom. I need you to understand."
"One minute down," he spoke, reminding me of the five minute time limit he gave me.
"Dom," Amara said, her tone warning him. He let out an annoyed sigh as he turned his head to face her.
"Fine," he spat out before he turned to me. "You should just go back to being dead." I furrowed my eyebrows in confusion. I know he hates me but that was a bit harsh. "You've tried to ruin their relationship and you failed."
"I haven't," I told him.
"You have. He fucking loves her," he said with a scoff. "They were best friends for years before they got married. They were best friends when they were fucking kids."
"He doesn't love her."
"Why do you think he didn't kill her? Why do you think she's even still alive? He took and probably killed his mom but he didn't hurt a hair on Isabellas' head."
"He doesn't love her."
"Yes, he does," he said firmly, as if he actually thinks that. "The day he kills her is the day I will believe you but until then..."
"He will."
"You came too late. You missed your chance but I hear you two are getting close." I slowly nodded my head.
"We're getting to know each other again."
"He doesn't give a shit. I'm warning you that he is using you."
"He's not using me," I said softly. "I didn't come here to talk to you about that. Dom, I really am sorry and I want my friend back."
"I understand why you wanted to leave. But you could've told us. You didn't need to let us think you were dead."
"I wasn't thinking straight. I was in the hospital. I was just shot! I was on so many drugs; I didn't have a fucking clue what was going on around me. But I remember feeling so fucking hopeless."

"But afterwards when you disappeared, you could've called or done something! What? You were on so many fucking drugs for those six years as well?"
"I started a new life. Dom, everything was going wrong. Matteo was acting like an obsessed crazy fucker and I lost another baby."
He paused.
"I know it's not an excuse," I said, starting to get teary-eyed. "It's not. But I felt like I was falling into a big black hole with no destination. Getting away helped me a lot, both mentally and emotionally. And I know you hate me, I know you do, but I need you to forgive me. I want you to forgive me."
"I miss you," Dom sighed out as he walked towards me and pulled me into a hug. My arms wrapped around him as my head rested on his chest. "And I don't hate you."
"Really?," I asked as I pulled away from the hug. He nodded his head.
"So does this mean we're okay?," I asked warily.
"We're more than okay."

A couple of days later
"I miss you already," Valentina said as soon as I answered her call.
"I'll be back soon," I told her. "I'm not gonna be long."
"You better not be. If not, I can always fly over and help you out," she offered though I felt like she really only offered to get away from Vin and the twins for a while.
"It's okay," I told her. "You stay there and I'll be back as soon as I'm done here."
With that, I cut the call.
I flew over to the UK the day after Dom and I made up. I was due to return and now, my return isn't going to be permanent. One good thing is that I've got Jordan with me so I'm not completely alone.
That was first time I've spoken to Valentina since I came here mostly because there's that whole thing with the phone numbers and we couldn't call. But I sorted it and it's okay.
"What am I doing with this?," Jordan asked as he went though my closet. I had clothes in there that I never wear so he was looking through it and deciding what I should keep and what I shouldn't.

"Throw it," I decided as I examined the dress.
"Why? It's pretty."
I shrugged my shoulders. "Keep it then."
"No, I'll throw it."
He was honestly beginning to get on my nerves. But I guess that's a good sign. It means things between us are finally getting back to normal.
"Hey Jordan," I said questioningly as if I wanted to ask him something.
"What?," he asked, absentmindedly.
"Are you really okay with it?," I asked him. He let out a sigh knowing I was asking him if he was okay with my lifestyle. He dropped the dress and put all of his focus on me.
"I wasn't. But now, I understand that you had to. You were born in it and you can't do anything about that. But I'm okay with joining as long as I don't actually have to kill anyone."
I nodded my head. "Don't worry, you won't have anything to do with the mafia."
He doesn't need to know all of the important stuff.
"So shall I call you Liliana now?," he chuckled.
"I guess so."

Sebastian's PoV
"I should just kill you right now," I spoke as I glared at my mother.
She shrugged her shoulders. "But you need me."
"Not anymore," I shrugged. "Maybe, I'll let Liliana kill you."
I know she wouldn't kill her and the reason why is because she's my mom. I haven't seen her in two days as well. I've been trying to call her but it wouldn't go through so I'm guessing she's ignoring me.
And I still need her to sign the fucking papers. I've had to call my contact and push the meeting back more than once.
My mothers face paled before a smile grew on her cracked lips. "It'll be nice to have a little catch up with my ex-daughter-in-law who's returned from hell!"
I stared at her blankly. "Don't worry, you'll be there soon enough." Her face dropped.
"Says the man who's gonna kill his mother." I shrugged my shoulders.
"I don't care where I end up as long as it's not near you." With that, I left the basement and headed upstairs with the aim to find Isabella.
"I miss you," she spoke quietly with her back to me as soon as I found her. I rolled my eyes before I crossed my arms over my chest. "You're always with her."
She turned to face me. Her face looked sunken as her colour looked sickly pale and green. I bet she isn't doing too good mentally either. Honestly, she looks older than her age.
"You don't look good," I told her, not lying to her for once. She closed her eyes and took a deep breath. "You should really go to bed."
"That's what I've been doing this past week. I'm tired of it. Maybe if I go out, I'll feel better."
"No you won't," I spoke. "You're gonna go to bed." She let out a sigh.
In the past couple of days, Isabella's state has actually gotten worse. She wasn't bad before but now, she seriously looks sick.
I guess whatever I'm doing is working.
"You need to sign something," I told her, making her follow me to the office.
"What is it?," she asked croakily.
"It's just business," I spoke. She looked up at me, her eyebrows furrowed, clearly confused since I haven't let her do anything that's even remotely related to the businesses. "It's to protect your side of the businesses and the profits you're making," I lied.
She nodded her head, believing me. That lie wasn't even believable. Within seconds, her signature scarred the paper, making a smile grow on my face.
"Thanks," I said, actually meaning it. She nodded her head and left to go wherever.
It's almost over.
