Planning and just playing something out in your mind is so simple but actually doing it is something totally different. I held the speaker which was taped with my iPod in my quivering hand, so bad I had to support it with my other arm.

What I was about to do would get me killed or saved from these monsters.

Could I do it?

Could I run away from the man who took everything from me, the man who stole my freedom?

I blinked back tears, fighting the pain that pierced my chest.

"Ma'am," Ruby's voice was laced with concern but mostly fear.

I turned to look at her and just saw everything. Her eyes were red, lips quivering with pale cheeks. I wondered if it was a great decision to take her.

What if they caught us, he'd kill us both and I didn't want her to suffer that fate.

"Ruby, do you want to leave? You can stay. "I said to her, I was such a nerve wreck, my whole body was paralyzed with fear and hatred.

"No ma'am, I want to leave." she said grabbing my hand and squeezing it in reassurance.

Taking a deep breath, I set the timer on.

3 minutes.

With shaking hands I held the iPod tapped to the speaker.

"Ready," I whispered to Rudy who gave me a nod so I threw the speaker as far as possible. I threw it so hard that my arm became sore, nearly popping.

3 minutes, we waited on our toes, worrying that maybe the iPod hit a stone and broke or the timer set itself off but none the less I held the home-made rope tight. Suddenly a tiny light came from the East side of the forest with a distant sound. I chose a loud rap song so it would seem like someone was talking.

My heart raced as if it would rip itself out from the chest as the guards rushed in alarm to the disturbance. One by one they ran after the other with their arms up and guns on their chest.

When they had all gone from my corner, I dropped the rest of the rope, letting it float its way to the ground whilst I checked if I had tied it tight to the balcony.

"Go first babe, hurry please, hold and step on the knots." Ruby nodded her head as she fumbled her way over the balcony.

I watched her climb down as fast as she could with my other eye watching if any of the guards came back. With Ruby half way, I followed down moving faster and faster. So much could go wrong. The guards could run back and find us or the rope could break with a loose knot or torn sheet.

My hands were sweaty and shaky, I found it hard to breath with my heart consumed with fear. I didn't even want to look down because I would literally faint. I didn't know how near I was to the ground but I knew I was not close enough.

Lord, I was so screwed. Sweat was dripping from my forehead already. My feet finally touched the ground and I almost laughed out loud. I turned to a Ruby who was ready to take off without spitting a word we both sprinted towards the wall. We couldn't leave through the gate since it was obviously heavily guarded. We ran and ran, with the air blowing its way against us. I could barely breathe with it clouding my nostrils.

My pony tail jumped from side to side as my cheeks bruised from the harsh, cold wind.

Suddenly we came to a halt as realization hit us that we hadn't thought of how we would get over the 10 feet wall with electrified razor wires at the top.

"Fuck," I found myself saying as I held back my tears.

He would catch us, how stupid was I to think I could escape? Ruby had the same face, I could already smell my death.

I wiped off my tears with the back of my hand.

I would not go out without a fight.

I looked around for any guards approaching with my hand reaching for my knife behind in my bag.

It then hit me.

I turned running to the right, after a while Ruby ran after me.

"Can you climb a tree?" I asked her hastily and she didn't answer but just started climbing.

Good girl, I thought.

I didn't know how to climb a tree but I was too scared to care. I held here and there, slipping now and then. I could feel my soft skin break as I grabbed on rough barks and branches. We climbed for about 15 feet so that we could jump over the wall without touching the electrified fence.

Taking a deep breath I looked back to see the guards coming back to their stations. It was now or never, life or death, here or there.

Grasping Ruby's hand we jumped as high as we could, as far as we could. We were taking a leap of faith and we hoped the lord was with us.

Eyes shut, toes curled, hands to fists whilst we flew our way through the wind. Flying for just sometime with our feet touching the cold hard ground in seconds. I rolled over, as my fragile being colliding with the strong ground. I lay there for some time, getting my medulla in order, it was as if time had stopped with all my problems vanished but I came to my senses, blinking the confusion away.

We sprinted up and took off in a speed I had never imagined myself going. An alarm buzzed from the compound with red lights burning bright in the night.

"Warning! Someone is near the compound! Warning! "

It rang over and over again causing the adrenaline to poison my body as I pushed faster and faster.

I didn't know if I was touching the earth because to me it seemed like I was flying. Tree branches hit me from every direction but I couldn't feel a thing. I never felt the aching pull on my muscles, the shortening of breath, aching of the chest nor the pain from the eyes. In an anomic speed we whisked through the thick, dark forest with the only goal of getting away from him.

A picture of him popped in my mind and I felt myself float before meeting with the earth, face first. I rolled over a few times before getting up and catching up with Ruby who was standing a few feet away.

Fuck him, I thought as Ruby and I ran side by side from the man who was the beast that stole my heart.

Fuck him, I thought again as my heart broke over again with the pain and anger pushing me harder and harder.

I felt like a tiger or fox, running in the wild like crazy.

I was going to survive this.

We were going to survive this.

Faster we ran.

Rafael's P. O. V

I sat in front of the mirror with a glass of my strongest whiskey in my hand. I looked like fuck with my hair all messed up from sliding my hand through it. My eyes were blood red, almost as red as my skin right now but not as quite.

The thing was; I was fucked up, everything about me was fucked up. In a period of five months I had lost my best friend, my future wife and then I met HER. I didn't know where to put her or what to do to her. Harley was so beautiful and innocent, with everything that has happened she forgives easily, smiles and in rare occasions she bursts in laughter.

What I had done to her hadn't been fair but I had been wrapped in my own shit to care, not that I cared right now, or did I?

I should have let her go the moment I realized she wasn't Loala and now it was too late.

An image of her when she saw my men rape that girl rushed to my mind causing me to take a huge gulp of the liquid that burnt my throat but not my problems. Her eyes had been swimming in unshed tears with her rosy cheeks puffy, she had looked so broken and helpless. Her cries almost tore me apart.

Yes I was cruel but that moment made me realize the monster I had become. My reflection in those eyes of hers was of the devils and instead of being proud, I felt ashamed of myself for the first time in a long time.

How could I face her after that?

I could not!

It was time for me to let her go.

The red lights busted through my window before the alarm went off. I sat up quickly, grabbing an armed gun taped under the chair.

Someone was close to the compound.

When I opened my door, eight guards were already standing there with their guns ready to kill. They knew the drill. I ran to the room next to mine, almost barging the door down as it refused to open. My heart beat hard as I tried over and over again to open it with no vey.

"Harley!" I shouted, afraid of the worst that the attacker was already in and had took her.

Finally I kicked the door and watched it collapse to the ground as I ran in the dark room.

My heart almost stopped. The balcony doors were open wide, I ran there to find a rope floating its way from the balcony. Slowly I turned to the messy room with cloths all over the bed, the broken chair by the door.

"Sir," Alejandra, one of the guards stood behind me.

"Miss Rosello has escaped with a maid sir."

The words echoed in my head as they seemed not to make sense for a while.

What!

I looked back at the balcony with clenched fists, a racing heart and boiling blood.

She played me for a fool. With a heaving chest, I turned and marched to the control room. There men were grabbing their gear, getting ready to venture after the pair.

I dragged a chair and sat down.

"Show me how they escaped."

"Yes sir" Zorro spoke up typing something before the fed was pulled up.

They had threw something out that had destructed the guards whilst they climbed down, ran and jumped out of my house.

I felt dizzy, my chest seemed to ach with my eyes throbbing along with my head. On the other screens played a live fed of the traitors running through the forest. Every part of that forest was covered with cameras planted in trees, apparently it was my property so I liked to have eyes all over.

"Sir, cars are already running for us to go after them." Alejandra whispered in my ear.

"No, let's give them a head start and see how far they can go." I said back, sitting back on the chair with a smirk on my face.

That bitch just dug its grave.
