They reached the hotel. Before Ritika could get down, Rohit held her hand.
"What happened Ro?", she asked softly.
Rohit hesitated but continued, "Rits I love that you call me Ro, but please don't call Ro infront of Virat. He will kill me"
"Why will he kill you?", Ritika asked being confused.
"You dont know him as I do", Rohit said.
'You have no idea how possessive and jealous that idiot can get', he thought to himself.
"Okay", she said.
"Where were you?", Virat asked immediately as Rohit and Ritika entered the dining room.
Ritika got nervous at that but calmed immediately as Rohit answered.
"So much enquiry u have, Cricketer kyu bana-- CID join kar leta na", Rohit replied back before Ritika could blurt anything in nervousness.
"Wow, Ro so funny! Answer what I asked?", he said getting to the point.
Ritika looked at Rohit who was standing really confident.
"Coffee peene gaye the tere bina", he said teasing him.
"Virat, I met you yesterday but I didn't know till morning that I was gonna manage Rohit too for understanding--"
"Arey Ritika, I understand. I was just troubling him", Virat said immediately hearing Ritika's explanation.
"Waah beta, Ritika ne bola toh immediately maan gaya", Rohit said.
Virat smirked, "She is more sensible than you and we have that Punjabi bro code, kyu Ritsy!"
"Yes Ritsy, I will call you Ritsy! Ritika bahot formal hai", Virat said excited like a kid.
Ritika chuckled at that.
"You both are gonna team up on me?", Rohit asked seeing them happily chatting.
"Ofcourse, koi doubt hai!", Virat said hi-fying Ritika and leaving a sulky Ro behind.
They had breakfast and the team left for practice.
"Hey Ritsy?", Virat called as she was also leaving.
"Yes Virat"
"Would like to hang out with me and Ro in the evening, like a movie or something?", he asked.
Rohit also joined, "Waah Cheeku, I didn't know you had brain to get so nice ideas"
"Don't call me that and panda I have brain unlike you who only sleeps and forgets", he said back.
"I will join you guys", she said interrupting their childish fight.
"Great, see u then", Virat said and they left from there.

Rohit just turned for a glimpse of her, surprising to him even she was waiting for that. He smiled and then went with Virat.

Ritika knocked the room door only to be welcomed by Rohit's freshly showered face.
She was awestruck on how amazing he looked, water still dripping from his hair. She always saw him in a normal look but she had to say this messy look suited him the most.
She was staring him without blinking her eyes.
"Like what u see", he teased her.
She immediately averted her gaze blushing hard.
"Virat isn't here?", she asked as he was teasing her.
"Nope, he may come in sometime. Come inside", he said and she entered the room.
"Let me call Virat and check", he said.
"Virat where are you?", Rohit called him and asked.
Though lowkey he wanted Virat to be busy so that he could spend all his time with Ritika alone.
"Ro, I can't join you guys-- Mahi bhai brought me to some strategical meeting", he whined.
"Wow-- I mean what!", Rohit quickly composed himself.
Virat frowned, "Are you happy that I am not joining you guys, how mean you have become Ro!"
"No idiot, its nothing like that, join us as soon as u can", Rohit said.
"Okay", Virat said and hanged up the call.
Ritika looked at him as he was smiling to himself.
"What happened?", she asked.
"Virat is not joining us, he has some meeting", Rohit informed.
"Toh I should leave", she said but Rohit held her hand.
Rohit started, "Don't you want to spend time with me, Rits? The opportunity we have now is quite unusual. We'll start working again the following day. Let's get to know each other better Na", gently touching her hand, remarked.
"Ro, I would really like to spend more time with you", she said softly.
"Do you trust me?", he asked in a low voice.
He thought that may be she was uncomfortable with him. So he asked her that question having that fear in his mind.
Ritika saw that look of fear in his eyes, he asked her so genuinely that it melted her heart.
She moved closer to him and kissed his cheeks in response, whispered, "I trust you"

Rohit just closes his eyes to let the feeling sink in his heart.
Then, Rohit added in a soft, husky voice, "can we make today our movie night?"
Ritika could only smile and nod in agreement.
Ritika organised the movie while Rohit placed their meal order.
With the bed's assistance, they stretched out on the floor in comfort.
"ZNMD, all time favourite", Rohit said and sat beside her. She smiled at that.
They had dinner first so that they could enjoy the movie without any interruptions even if it means being hungry.
Ritika hesitated a bit but then she rested her head on Rohit's shoulder as the movie began.
Rohit just held her by the shoulders and made her comfortable.
"These little moments with you, it really makes me happy", she said.
"Rits, I know that you are a person who doesn't open up so easily and trust me I was the same and still am. But I really want you to share whatever you feel, be it anything. Seeing you upset on terrace that day, it made me feel so helpless as I couldn't do anything", he said softly caressing her knuckles.
Ritika said, "Ro, I am a person who can listen others for hours but when it comes to me, I don't know how it gets difficult to share what I am feeling"
Rohit held her hand to indicate her to continue.
"I just feel sometimes I am burdening others about my feelings and may be they would not get what I am feeling", she said with a tear tickling down her cheek.
Rohit made her look at him, wiped the tear cupping her cheeks.
"Rits, you don't have to think so much. You can share and unload your feelings to me anytime. I will be your listener and your confidant. Just like you are mine", he said softly.
"And dare you say about burden at all. To see you happy and smiling I can do anything", he added and kissed her forehead.
"Thanks Ro", she said and hugged him. Rohit hugged her back.
They resumed their movie with Ritika's head on his chest, they sat cuddling to each other.
_________
"Ro, I can't join you guys-- Mahi bhai brought me to some strategical meeting", he whined.
"Strategical meeting, what even-- Cheeku? What are you trying to do here?", Mahi asked.
"I am sure now that Ritika is that girl, who Rohit is meeting behind my back", he told as he had been observing since yesterday.
"How are you so sure?", Mahi asked raising his eyebrows at him.
"Bas meko pata hai", he said back.
"Wohi puch raha hu na kaise?", Mahi asked again.
"Offo bhai, have you ever seen Rohit lying to me or you? Have you ever seen him smiling with his daydreams? Have you ever seen him so comfortable around a new girl ever but Ritika ke sath he went for coffee in a min", he began.
"Aise toh aap smile karte the, Sakshi bhabhi ke time", he said only to earn a glare from Mahi.
"Bhai, aise darao mat, sach bol raha hu", Virat said keeping his head in his lap.
Mahi said, "Toh why don't you ask him directly"
"He should tell me na, I tell him everything bhai", Virat whined.
Mahi just shook his head at his complain.
After sometime Virat went back to his and Rohit's room, only to find them sleeping, cuddling to each other.
They look so cute.
"But he hid it from me", Virat thought.
He covered them with comforter and left the room.
"Kya hua?", Mahi asked him as he entered the room and lay down beside him.
"They are sleeping cuddling to each other, I was right", he said with puffing his cheeks in anger.
"Cheeku-- dont get angry bacha", Mahi said softly as he could understand that it was all new for them.
Virat just kept his head on Mahi's chest and slept thinking how much he is gonna trouble Ro tomorrow.
"Aapko meri kasam hai, aap Ro ko kuch nhi bataoge", he said and closed his eyes.
Mahi just sighed and slept himself.

How The Weak Live
This was a rough draft. Quite a meh one. The newer version is These Games of Ours. ---------- Lucious is deserter among many, living by dagger and beggary. Argento’s thirst for knowledge is endless, as is his belly. Kora is the perfect soldier, yet her sword grows dull in monotony. Formally known as the Empire's legend, the Captain is now stuck in stagnation. The Gods, grown weary of human deeds, have decided to indulge themselves in a different way. -------------- THE 7 REALLY IMPORTANT STUFF Clichés shall be avoided like the cancerous tumors they are. The world shall not spread its pink butt cheeks for the main character’s convenience. No character shall be thinner than one slice of white American cheese. No female character shall serve to highlight how overpowered and fabulous the main character is. No villain shall serve to highlight how overpowered and fabulous the main characters are. Grammar laws shall be upheld sometimes. I, the author, swear not to be a prick. I, the author, swear not to go away without warning. If other LitRPGs are like Skyrim, then this is going to be a combination of Dark Souls and Total War. Don't expect action for the sake of action. Be warned, this is a slow novel. Read the reviews to see if this novel is a decent fit for you. Disclaimer: I do not own that gorgeous cover art.
