A/N : I thought of Rohit's outburst like below at first but ended up writing it another way as mentioned in chapter 13. So this is alternate to how Rohit reacted after Virat woke up. Tell me if u like it

Rohit broke the hug and said to Mahi - I am still angry and Mahi responded - I understand.

Rohit and Mahi were waiting for Virat to wake up. They were sitting silently as Rohit was very worried about his best friend. He did not want to speak to Mahi because according to him he was the main reason why Virat was suffering so much. Because if Mahi for once trusted Virat then everything would be different.

Virat woke up after 3 hours. Rohit rushed to him, made him sit properly and gave him water. Virat got aware and saw Mahi sitting there. He looks at Rohit who had a very neutral expression in his face.

Mahi came and sat in front of Virat while Rohit was sitting beside him. Mahi said softly - "Cheeku .. I don't how to put in words .. but I am really really sorry for what all I have done to you. The unbearable pain I caused you.. I am sorry for that. I should have been there for you. But I was not instead I was against you. I regret my actions so much. You and Rohit are the most important people in my life. Whatever you both say I am ready to that. Even if you don't want to talk to me from here on .. I can do it .. It will be hard for me but I can do it for you .. if it means forgiveness .. And one day when u both forgive me I will be waiting for you and you will find your Mahi bhai there."

Saying this Mahi broke down in tears. Virat also got emotional seeing that and pulled Mahi into a hug. Mahi just kept mumbling Sorries to him. Virat just said "It's okay" while rubbing his back to calm him down.

Mahi broke the hug and saw Virat smiling at him warmly. He looked at Rohit who was not acknowledging at all. Virat saw that and just asked - "Ro won't u talk to him"

Rohit didn't respond as he was thinking something. Virat again asked softly - Ro ? What's wrong ?

Rohit got up and said - I don't want to talk to him.

Saying this he was going to balcony but stopped hearing Mahi's voice.

Mahi - Please Ro I am really sorry. Forgive me plz

Said Mahi being guilty of his actions

Rohit turned and said with tears in his eyes - "No I cannot forgive u bhai .. it is very difficult to do that. Because I cannot forget the state which I found Vi .. crying, hurt .. I cannot forget that he gets nightmares that I will leave him because u left him alone. How he kept mumbling and asking that why u didn't trust him and I had no answer to that. How I felt so helpless because sometimes I could not console him. He got hurt emotionally and physically .. I cannot forget that .. so I am sorry bhai I cannot forgive u."

Virat got tears after listening that as he remembered everything. He just whispered- "Ro"

Rohit just said again this time facing Virat - "No Vi .. I cannot.. it may be easy for u but I will not be able to forgive him"

Virat said with tears in his eyes - "Do u really think it's easy for me .. to forget everything. No Ro it is very difficult and hard. It is hurting every time because I remember it every second. But Ro understand that he is our big brother.. whenever we make some mistake he always forgive us .. why can't we once do that. I know it's very difficult to forget everything.. I don't know if I could ever do that because I didn't expect in my life that bhai .... (He just choked at last and burst into tears)"

Rohit hugged him and said - "I am sorry Vi .. I know how hard it is I am sorry I said that"

Mahi was listening this with so much guilt and tears in his eyes .. he didn't know what to do .. he just kneels in front of them and folds his hands saying "I am really sorry"

Rohit immediately held his hands and said him to get up. Mahi sat on the bed infront of them looking down.

Rohit - "Please never do this again bhai .. We may not be able to take it again"

Mahi said - Never I promise.. I swear on my life

Virat and Rohit both hugged him. Mahi hugged them back and again apologised.Virat pulled him and placed his head on Mahi's lap. Mahi kept running his fingers through his hair.
