Kelvin pov

I know the way I said it to her was not the best way to explain it to but damn I don't fucking have the time or patience to explain.

Looking at the expression on her face and with the way she was staring at me, maybe I could have explained to her. I signed using my hands to caress my jaw.

"Lilian sit down so I can explain" she already stood up from the couch she was sitting on due to the bomb I just exploded on her and she was walking around in circles and muttering words to herself.

I have to explain this to her little by little or she might think I am crazy and run away from me and I will lose the company I have worked so hard for. I would run away too if I can seriously a man who tells someone you are going to marry me how can you be so dumb my subconscious mocks.

"Is this a joke or what, "lily said furiously?

Running my hands through my hair I signed again damn!! searching my head for a good way to put it to her. Because I was not a good storyteller.

"my grandfather and yours are very good friends". She looked at me in shock, but she was also a signal for me to go on with my crappy story.

"your grandfather saved mine from an accident, my grandfather had always been the kind that doesn't like to own debt, and your grandfather didn't want any money or property in return.

my grandfather wanted to do something for his friend so they both decided to join both families together in other to do that they decided to get their grandchildren married to each other to forever strengthen the bond of both families "

I stare at her waiting for her to comment on the story, I have said so far but she was only staring at me with confusion written on her cute face and her eyebrow knotted up so I could guess what was going on in her pretty head. And hope I could answer all the questions she is going to ask me for all plan to fall into place. I mentally prepared myself.

Lilian pov

I was staring at him as I didn't know how to react to the bomb he just dropped on me because my parents never mentioned anything about this to me or about me getting married or anything related to this matter.

I looked up to him and saw him staring at me, I have so many questions, I want to ask right now. I decided to ask the first question that pops out of my mind.

"Why are you telling me this now, "I asked him with a calm tone but deep down I was nothing but calm because I was trying my best to understand what he was trying to drive at.

"because if I don't marry you I am going to lose my company "he answered me sincerely and I mentally scoff so he just wants to marry me because of his precious company, what about being happy I guess he doesn't care about that but I do.

"Lilian ..Lili.... a" he called snapping his finger in front of my face I guess he noticed how deep I was lost in thoughts. And I am a good guesser

"hmmm "I answered still trap in thoughts.

"why will you lose your company if you don't marry me," I asked him as I manage to escape from my thoughts *eye roll * jeez when did I get this poetic, fuck face is messing with my head.

"because my grandfather's last wish was that I get married to you and my dad want to fulfill his father's last wish so if I don't get married to you I am going to lose the company," he said in an arrogant tone.

I scoff he must think I will be happy marrying him, he thinks so highly of himself I am not getting married to an arrogant prick like him, I had always dreamed of getting married to my Prince Charming.

who will love me unconditionally not some psycho that wants to marry me because of a stupid company he was going to lose if he doesn't. Arrggg I hate him so much

"I am not going to marry you, Kelvin," I say to him truthfully. He looked at me with a shocked expression on his face. He quickly recovered and smirk before saying

"We are not going to be the husband and wife nonsense you might be thinking about we are only going to be married in paper and nothing more"

"And you are going to marry me, Ms. Lilian Williams Carson," he said going over to the kitchen.

He came back with a cup of coffee in his hands without bothering to offer me any "rude dumbo " he sits down on his couch and crosses his legs siping his coffee that I was dying to have right now deliberately mocked me. What!! I just have a weird obsession with coffee.

Am I seriously thinking of coffee right now, When an arrogant jerk is ordering me to marry him? I looked up to him and find him staring at me with a smirk I groaned don't he seriously ever smile.

"What makes you so sure that I am going to marry you, "I asked him angrily. He just smirked making me even angrier.

" I know you just got fired from your job lily and you need money," he said and I visibly flinch how did he know about that I ask myself. He just kept on sipping his coffee aware of my discomfort before speaking.

"you can consider acting as my wife only for a year, a job that I will pay you for " I was mad before now am furious, what does he take me for.

"you can keep your job Mr. Kelvin because I don't need it "I snapped furiously getting up from my sit and making my way out of the beautiful mansion with a rude owner.

Because I have had enough of the arrogant goat telling me bullshit. before I Could Make my way out Of The door I heard him Say

" I give you three days to make a decision Lily," he said walking closer to me as he grabs a hold of my hand and put a card, I was too stunned to react, and then with a smirk, he said.

"Call me when you make a decision sweetheart " he whispered huskily in my ear causing me to shiver then he walked away as I heard him climbed up the stairs.

I looked at the card in my hands and saw that it was a business card, I didn't even know why I shove the card angrily in my bag before I Made my way out of his house. I called a taxi that took me home.

As I lay on my bed that night, I kept seeing an idiot's face. But a handsome one at that.

And I could not help but thought to myself what I should do, I need the money but I can't sell myself to that arrogant prick. I can't be bought with money my parents taught me better than that.

But does my family know about the marriage, but why didn't I know anything about it.

As I drift to sleep, a handsome arrogant prick finds his way to disrupt my dream.
