"(Y/N)!!!!"
you sit up from your bed as you heard your boyfriend scream your name.
you don't move for a second, to see if he'd call again because you didn't wanna get up.
"(Y/N)!"
you sigh and go to your bathroom where your boyfriend said he was gonna shower.
you open the door and see suga in his boxers standing in the corner away from the shower.
"koshi, what on earth could you need!?"
he gives a disapproving look at your attitude towards him.
"kill it."
you couldn't believe it.
your boyfriend was screaming at a little black spider minding his business in the bottom of the shower.
"koshi, are you serious?"
he makes fake gagging sounds like a child at you.
you sigh and turn the water on, watching the spider go down the drain.
"happy now you princess."
"no need to be rude (y/n)"
"it was huge"
he walks past you with his nose high in the air.
this was your boyfriend.
a smart mouthed bully who HATES bugs of all types.
you scuffed and go back to your bedroom.
a while later, suga comes in your room to change.
you didn't move from your position, just looked over at him.
"was your shower good?"
he sided eyed you
"yes."
suga gets dressed and scuts you over so he can also lay in your bed.
you two talk and cuddle and scroll threw your phones for a couple hours, when your stomach growls.
"you wanna go out, or do you want me to cook?"
"i don't wanna put pants on, can you cook?"
suga nods and gets up to cook for you.
you follow not wanting to be away from him.
you sit down on the counter next to him and just enjoy his company.

"AHHHHH"
{BANG}
you flinch at the sudden scream and look at suga who had dropped a pot on the floor.
"OMG KOSHI WHAT!?"
"t-there's a-a"
"A SPIDER!"
"ew ew ew ew get get!!"
no matter how many times he'd react like this to small insects, it still blew you away how dramatic he can be.
you jumped off the counter to kill the bug when a terrible thought popped in your head.
you looked over at suga, pale with fear covering his face.
you look back at the small spider and pick it up on your hand.
you hold the spider in your hand and face suga.
"kkooossshhhiii"
"did you kill it!?"
"look"
he removes his hands and looks at you.
you swear you saw his soul leave his body when he saw the small spider in your hand.
"(Y/N), PUT THAT DOWN, NOW!"
you began laughing hysterically.
"koshi, are you serious?!"
you couldn't stop laughing and moving, the spider feel from your hand to the floor.
suga saw this and jumped on the counter.
"AHHH"
you wipe a tear from your eye and stomp on the spider, killing it with your slipper.
"there ya baby"
he looked at the spiders mushed body and got down from the counter.
"i might never forgive you for that"
he said with a completely straight face.
you gave him a soft smile and a kiss on the cheek as an apology.
"you're ."
"go wash your hands now"
you rolled your eyes and washed your hands for you over dramatic bug hating boyfriend.
(yikes i do apologize, i'm not very proud of this one)
(lol sorry)

By cold steel and elemental sorcery, they brought peace to a warring land on the brink of destruction. As the flames died, the realm needed strong leadership, and who better than the champions who had saved the kingdom? But when the people sought out their saviors... they vanished. Matt, Blake, Jen, and Carl: the four mysterious companions, who together had deposed an insane ruler and saved countless lives, were gone—spirited back in a whirlwind of magic to a sleepy suburb in Mellbridge, Oregon, never to return. The friends found themselves home in the real world, exactly as they'd been the night they were taken, as if no time had passed... except only three came back. Hi there! This was my entry for National Novel Writing Month, because why only write one series at a time? The more the merrier! (meanwhile, my keyboard bursts into flames...) I'm also the writer of The Last Science, an ongoing low-fantasy/speculative sci-fi series. If you're familiar with that, you know what to expect here: lots of character-focused drama and dialogue, not a whole lot of traditional action. However, I'm writing a bit differently than usual here, and in a very different structure, so there should be some surprises for returning readers. I hope you enjoy it! [Discord] — for those of you who want to hang out and chat. Cover art (fullsize): Path of Revelation, by taenaron (Tobias Roetsch), modified by Etzoli. Normally I like to do my own cover art from scratch, but I was in a rush for the contest. Might be replaced down the line if I get time.
