《Haiky Scehurios》They Ask You Out/You Ask Them Out

Karasuno was having a practice match against Nekoma. Finally, the game ended with Nekoma winning. Everyone dispersed to talk to each other, team mom to team mom, captain to captain, etc. Hinata approached the pudding headed setter of Nekoma, also known as one of your close friends.
"Kenma, I have a question." Hinata said, unusually calm, but basically dying from fear on the inside. Kenma looked up from his phone at Hinata, signaling that he's listening.
"If I wanted to ask a girl out, how exactly would I do it?" Hinata nervously spat out. Kenma raised an eyebrow at the ginger.
"I'm not really the right person to talk to about things like that. But this is about y/n, isn't it?" Hinata's face turned a bright red color as he awkwardly scratched the back of his neck while nodding. Kenma looked down to his phone. Tapping a few things before holding the phone up to his ear.
"Hey... We just finished it... We won... Hinata has something he needs to tell you... Mhm... I'm giving the phone to him." Kenma carried out a quiet conversation with, presumably, you over the phone before handing said object to a nervously shaking Hinata.
"Y/n! H-hey!" He stuttered out.
"Hey. Kenny said you have something to tell me."
"U-uh. About that..." He swallowed hard. "See, the thing is... Uh,"
"Come on, it can't be that hard to say, can it?" You giggled over the phone. Hinata smiled softly at the sound of your delicate laughter.
"You're right. So the thing I needed to say was... I like you. A lot. Will you be my girlfriend?" Hinata held his breath as he waited for your response.
"I thought you'd never ask." He could basically hear the smile in your voice as he released the breath he was holding. You two said your awkward goodbyes, knowing tomorrow would be a very great day. Hinata handed the phone back to Kenma.
"Thank you so much!" Hinata said with a teary grin as he looked towards the shy pudding head.
"No problem. She's liked you for a while, anyway." Hinata's face burst into red once again as Kenma walked away, leaving the shocked shrimp behind.
Kageyama was walking towards your house, a small bouquet of roses held in his hands and a blush creeping up on his cheeks. He was silently reviewing his mental script as the Oikawa household got closer and closer.
When he finally arrived, he took a final deep breath before walking up the two steps in front of your door. He timidly rose a fist, swallowing hard, and knocking on the door. He could faintly hear voices inside followed by footsteps. When the door finally opened, he was met with the person he was praying wouldn't answer the door; Oikawa Tooru.
"Hello? Oh. It's just you. Finally decided to confess, huh, Tobio-chan?" He said with a mocking voice and a smirk to match.
"Yes I did. May I please talk to y/n?" Kageyama was forcing himself to be polite. After all, if the next several, several years go as planned, this is the man that will end up being his brother-in-law. Oikawa called up to you, receiving a groan from an unknown room followed by footsteps.
Next thing he knows, you're standing in front of the door, pushing your brother away when you saw Kageyama. You were wearing pajama shorts and a tank top. Your hair was a mess and you were wearing your glasses that he knew you only wore at home, wearing contact lenses at school. You looked like you had just fallen out of bed after an all nighter, and yet you still looked lovely in his eyes.

"Tobio! What are you doing here?" You asked with your typical smile.
"There's... Something I need to tell you." He muttered. You gave him a look that prompted him to continue. "I really l-like you. Will you be my girlfriend?" Kageyama mentally high-fived himself for saying it with minimum stutters. He held out the bouquet to you while averting his eyes to the suddenly interesting ground.
After a few seconds of silence, he assumed you rejected him. He was about to lower the bouquet when you quickly wrapped your arms around him in a tight hug.
"Of course I will!" You excitedly muttered into his shoulder where you had buried your face. He wrapped his arms around your back, pulling you closer. A blush was evident on his face as well as your own. Meanwhile, Tooru watches the scene from inside the house, happy that you finally found someone to love.
The freckled boy was sitting at his desk, pretending he was doing something while watching you draw from the corner of his eye. A lump formed in his throat when another boy approached you. He tapped you on the shoulder, prompting you to quickly put your pencil down and flipped over your drawing. You turned your body to face the boy.
"Hm? What do you need?" You asked politely.
"L/n-chan... I really like you. I have for a while. I love your smile, your laugh, everything about you. You're so perfect. I know we haven't talked that much and you probably don't remember me, but please. At least give me a chance." As he spoke, Yamaguchi could feel his chance of being with you slipping away. When the boy finished talking, Yamaguchi was quick to speak up.
"W-wait! Before you answer that, y/n... I want you to know that... I-i love you, too." You turned to look at the freckled boy. Your gaze danced between the two boys.
"B-but I said it first!" The first boy childishly shouted out. "Doesn't that count for something?"
"Shouldn't we let her decide?" Yamaguchi timidly spoke out against him. Both boys turned to you, eliciting a sigh from you.
"Hope fully this'll make my answer obvious." You muttered as you leaned on a nearby table and signed the paper you were previously drawing on. You flipped it over and showed them both the piece of artwork. It was a beautifully detailed drawing of a selfie you and Yamaguchi had taken together. In small, neat lettering down in the bottom corner, next to your signature, the words "I love you" were printed in the ink from your pen.
The first boy to confess his love to you turned and left the classroom, hanging his head in defeat while you and Yamaguchi hugged.
"I promise I'll never hurt you. I'll love you as long as you'll let me." He muttered quietly, holding you tightly in his arms.
The bell rang, signaling the end of school for the day. Tsukishima was quick to pack up and was walking across the classroom after muttering a 'good bye' to you just as you finished putting the final touches on your drawing. You panicked, seeing the string bean already by the door before you had a chance to give him the paper you had worked so very hard on. That's when you realized; Tsukishima has volleyball practice today. You took your time packing up, having no need to rush, and ended up being the last one out of the classroom.
You hummed a light tune to yourself as your heart beat fast, thinking about how the tall blonde might respond to your plan. Finally you were in front of the gym. The sound of balls hitting the floor could be heard. They must have already started practice. Perfect.

You tried your best to quietly open the door. No one noticed your presence so you slipped in and went to find the coach. You had watched their practice before and met the team, so you know what he looks like. It shouldn't be too hard to find him.
You spotted him on a bench next to the managers. You quietly made your way over to them. The gods must be on your side since no one has noticed you yet. You gently tapped the coach on the shoulder, successfully gaining his attention.
"Oh, l/n, right? Is there something you need?" You put on an innocent face as if you weren't planning on embarrassing Tsukishima.
"Oh, I needed to give something important to Kei." He nodded in understanding. He called out to Tsukishima, telling him to come over. It wasn't until he arrived next to you and the coach that he noticed you.
"What are you doing here?" He directed the question at you with his normal monotonous voice.
"I just needed to give you something important." To any outsiders, you had an innocent smile on. But after spending time with you, Tsukishima recognized that expression. It's the look you use when you're up to something. Usually, something that involves embarrassing him.
"What is it?" His voice sounded pretty much the same as always, but you could pick up on a slight hint of concern behind his words. He knew you were up to something. And you knew he knew you were up to something. But you weren't sure if he knew you knew he knew you were up to something.
You held out the paper you had been working on all throughout class, holding it with the drawing towards the floor to cause more dramatic suspense in the time between you handing the paper to him and him flipping it over. (Some of the volleyball team had ceased practice to watch the exchange between you and Tsukishima.
He flipped over the paper revealing a detailed drawing of a crow with Tsukii-style glasses perched on it's beak and a (favorite animal) with a (key feature of you) curled up together with a small heart next to the crow. Above the two animals, in neat, cursive writing, the words "I love you" were carefully printed. Your signature was written in the bottom corner of the page. Tsukii made a valiant effort to fight back the blush growing on his face, but he inevitably lost.
Now comes the hard part that fits into your plan. He could either drop his stoic asshole demeanor that he worked so hard on creating around himself and embarrass himself as he admits that his feelings are returned, or he could keep up the act, subtly hinting at his mutual feelings, risk embarrassing himself, and tell you how he really feels after practice, or he could keep his walls built up high and crush your heart in order to keep his reputation amongst his team. That last one shouldn't even be an option. He decided he'd go for the second option.
"I like you too, you idiot." Tsukishima quietly muttered just loud enough for you to hear. Your eyes lit up like Christmas lights as you tackled him in a tight hug with a light blush dusting your cheeks. You could hear quiet snickers from behind Tsukii, notifying you that your plan was working.
"Would you like to stay for the rest of practice?" You could tell he was trying not to break his usual attitude while still being nice to you. Well, as nice as Tsukii can be. You nodded your head and took a seat on the bench next to the two managers who offered kind smiles at you, which you returned, while Tsukii put the piece of paper in his bag gently.
Across the gym, you heard the conversation you were hoping for.
"I guess Tsukishima is capable of feeling things after all!" One of the boys teased the lamp post.
"It's more surprising that someone is capable of loving him!" You mentally high-fived yourself as you heard Tsukishima being teased, all thanks to you. You tuned out the rest of their conversation and began one of your own with the two managers sitting next to you.
Meanwhile...
"Shut up. At least I have a girlfriend now." Tsukishima had his classic, smug expression as he talked down to the other boys.
"Oh really? I don't think I heard either of you actually claim to be dating." Ah, he was right. They never did say any of that. For the sake of bragging rights, Tsukii didn't reply and simply walked over to where you were happily chatting with Kiyoko and Yachi. He tapped you on the shoulder to get your attention. You looked up at him, still keeping up your innocent act.
"Hey. You're my girlfriend now." You simply nodded with a smile. He turned and walked back to the group of boys who were still practicing. What an interesting relationship you two already have.
At the time that the boy's were cleaning up (and Tanaka and Nishinoya were talking about Noya's huge crush on you) you were putting all your stuff away and preparing to help Nishinoya with studying after they all clean up. Just as soon as you put your bag over your shoulders, a ginger headed shrimp ran up to you with a plan in mind. You glanced up (more like down) at the energetic ball of excitement in acknowledgement.
"Y/n! I have something really important to tell you!" He said excitedly.
"Please lower your voice, Shōyō. What's the news?" You asked with your normal calm demeanor, pushing up your glasses.
"I know who likes you!" He whispered shouted at you. You raised an eyebrow at the short boy's words.
"Are you going to tell me?" You had a quizzical look on your face as you asked Hinata.
"It's Nishinoya-senpai!" Shōyō had completely thrown the idea of volume control right out the window as he shouted his answer just a bit too loud. Just loud enough, in fact, that Nishinoya heard clearly from the other side of the gym. He looked over and saw Hinata talking to none other than his crush and immediately assumed the worst. Trying to keep his cool, he walked over to you two.
"What were you saying about me?" He looked at Hinata, trying very hard to act natural, finding it hard for a variety of reasons.
As he was waiting for a reply from Hinata, you leaned down and kissed Nishinoya on the cheek, immediately igniting them. A bright red blush was now very obvious and prominent on his face.
"I like you too, Yuu." You smiled softly at the short libero. He quickly tried to shake off his embarrassment.
"Th-then, will you be my girlfriend?" He asked with a confident smile playing on his lips. You let out a short giggle.
"I see absolutely no reason why I shouldn't be."
You swear you could see hearts in his eyes.
Last time we saw Tanaka, he was diving down into his bag to grab his phone and check a text he received from you. As it turns out, you texted him a very interesting question. The words "Can I call you?" We're diplayed on his phone screen. How about we switch into your past tense perspective to see what happened with your cousins.
-Flashback Mode Initiated-
-Your Perspective-
You were sitting cross-legged on a rug with your two cousins and two of their friends. The five of you were playing truth or dare, the ultimate party game to fuck up your childhood and pressure you to do stupid, regrettable shit. (. One of your cousins turned to you with a devilish smirk on her face. You knew exactly what was coming.
"Y/n! Do you like anyone?" She asked with her eyebrows wiggling aggressively.
"Err, yeah. We kinda ran into each other, litterally, and ended up being friends. I may or may not have developed a massive crush on him." Your face was dusted in a light pink as you continued playing the game. One or two more people were asked questions when it finally looped back to you.
"Y/n, I dare you to call this guy. Right now. Ask him out. Take a chance." You sighed deeply. You knew there was at least some possibility of him liking you back and you knew if you didn't take the dare, you'd be mocked by your cousins until the end of time. You shrugged and took out your phone.
"He might be in class right now so I'm going to text him first."
-Flashback Mode Complete-
Tanaka shrugged and typed back a short "yes" receiving a call from you a mere few seconds later. He anxiously lifted the phone to his ear while getting expectant gazes from the team he sat with.
"Hello? Y/n? Where are you?" He asked once he heard your usual voice, slightly staticky through the phone.
"Ah, sorry for not being there today. I'm actually out of town right now. There was a family emergency involving my aunt so I get to spend time with my cousins while that's being taken care of. B-but that's not why I called." You finished with a slight stutter.
"Then, why did you call?" You swallowed the lump in your throat.
"I need to tell you something important. I..." You sharply inhaled, " I like you. A lot." You wouldn't know it, but in that moment, Tanaka's face lit up with both a bright red blush and a gigantic grin. He was quick to respond before you assumed he didn't like you back.
"I like you too, y/n. A lot."
"Then, will you be my boyfriend?" You timidly asked over the phone.
"Of course!" The bell suddenly rang, signaling students to hurry back to their classes. "The bell just rang. I have to go. I'll see you when you get back, okay?" You happily agreed and exchanged goodbyes before hanging up.
The second you set down your phone, your ears were assaulted by the violent, fangirly squeals that emitted from your cousins and their friends. You couldn't care less, though. You were dating Tanaka and that's all that mattered in that moment
There was a game today, against Nekoma. The stands were partially full of supporters or just random students who were vaguely interested. You were one of the supporters, keeping your eyes on the game the whole time and cheering quite loudly whenever Karasuno scored.
Finally, Karasuno was at match point. Just one more, one more point and your plans would be carried out. The ball slammed onto the court on Nekoma's side of the net. A small amount of cheering from the stands erupted. It wasn't much, but it was loud. And in the middle of it all, you, cheering for Daichi and the others like your life depended on it. Finally, it was time to complete your plans. You took a deep breath, closed your eyes, and cupped your mouth like you were cheering particularly loud, which you were about to.
At the very top of your lungs, you shouted out, "I love you, Sawamura!" Your voice came out loud and clear, cutting through the volume of the crowd and easily reaching the ears of both teams, especially Daichi who immediately went red. He turned to the stands where you were, smiled brightly, and yelled back.
"I love you too, y/n!" You were on the verge of tears from happiness. You quickly rushed down, meeting Daichi halfway and hugging him tightly.
"I was going to confess, but it looks like you beat me to it." He smiled at you, equally as bright as you smiled at him.
Carrying his thoughts up to your front door, he decided he'd confess his feelings to you today. At least he has his team's shoulders to cry on if he gets rejected. He carefully knocked on your front door.
