《Clato》chapter twenty-three

"Fine then, Lover Boy, go see for yourself." He snapped.
Peeta did.
Cato rolled his eyes.
"Why don't we just kill him now and get it over with?" Clove suggested.
"Let him tag along. What's the harm?" Marvel said, and then recalled watching him while training, "And he's handy with that knife."
"Besides, he's our best chance of finding her." Glimmer put in.
"Why? You really think she bought into that sappy romance stuff?" Cato scoffed.
"She might have. Seemed pretty simple minded to me. Every time I see her spinning around in that dress, I want puke." Marvel replied.
"Wish we knew how she got that eleven." Glimmer put in.
"Bet you Lover Boy knows." Clove said.
Cato smirked and looked in the direction Peeta went.
Peeta came back smiling.
"Was she dead?" Cato asked him.
"No." Peeta answered. "But she is now."
A cannon went off. "Ready to move on?"
* * *
Cato frowned and begun walking. "Okay."
Clove and the group kept moving. They found no-one. The grey light of dawn had begun to emerge.
Cato sighed, he was tired.
Clove remembered her promise to Marina. "We have to get back." She said.
"I agree." Glimmer replied. "I'm positively famished!"
Cato looked at Clove, he had dark circles underneath his eyes from fatigue.
Clove's knees were already beginning to buckle from lack of sleep. Marvel nodded his head and Peeta began to retrace his steps in a hurry.
Cato was at the back of the line.
Clove started at the front but couldn't keep up. She soon joined Cato and nearly collapsed onto him as her eyes closed for a few seconds. She wondered if she'd make it back.
Cato held her up gently.

Clove's eyes fluttered open and she stood up.
"Thank you." She mouthed to Cato tiredly.
Cato sighed as they came to camp.
* * *
Clove quickly searched the cornucopia for a sleeping bag. Once she found one she asked; "Ok, is anyone here not too tired?"
"Well I got some sleep last night, so I'm fine." Marina said.
"You're on watch. Wake us up in an hour or so and we'll set up a proper camp. But now, I need some rest. Sweet dreams everyone." Clove brought the sleeping bag to the back of the cornucopia and got in. She was asleep before her head hit the ground. Her sleep was filled with Cato and their unborn child dying, but she was trapped in sleep. Her eyes refused to open until she was rested enough. Tears fell from her eyes in her sleep.
Cato had fallen asleep underneath the cornucopia in a sleeping bag, as he had told the whole country of Panem about loving Glimmer he had motioned for her to come over and laid down with her.
Glimmer had gigged, telling him that she was beginning to wonder if he was ever going to come.
Everyone other than Marina fell asleep.
Over an hour passed and Marina started waking people up.
Cato had his arm draped over Glimmer's side, his face pressed into the crook of her neck.
Clove woke to a kick in the leg.

New God
Who said being a God was easy. If you started omniscient; omnipotent and omnipresent then it might be. However, without those powers it would be a different story entirely. This is that story. Adam is thrown into a new world with no choice and no instructions. At least he is a God, whatever that means... Lovely Royal Road readers: Imagine a tutorial with no instructions and no idea what the game was meant to be and what you are trying to achieve. All you know is that you are a God (whatever that means). So this is quite slow to start; mainly world building for me; a bit of base building by the MC and some good old minion development. I'm developing/practicing my writing and love the format of RR to get it out of my head. So hopefully it gets better with time as I get better. All feedback welcome - but please critique and tell me why you don't like it (if you don't) I'd rather a 1-star review than a 2-star(plus) rating!

A Nerd's Wet Dream Come True (Tossing an OC into Marvel)
John was an average man. At least that's what he tells himself at night. He lived in a rented apartment in the decent district, a well-paying job, and more student debt than he cared to think about being steadily paid off. Yet he was absolutely miserable. He spent his days living like a zombie, a slave in all but name to corporate. His only joy these days it seems was reading comics and writing fanfics. SI ones. Choke full of power fantasies and large harems. Yeah, even he had to admit he was a loser. His only redeeming feature seemed to be his photographic memory and the library's worth of comics and books he has read. Yet, when fate took pity on him and had John transported into the Marvel Universe, he was only all too happy to oblige. A second chance to make something of himself. Is he going to finally have the comfortable life he wanted? Will he laze away relying on his past life's knowledge or does he want more this time? Will his ambition and hard work lead to sweet fruits, or will it rot away in the darkness hiding beneath the colorful costumes of the hero's society? Now with crossovers! Be warned if you don't like to see OCs messing up the timeline or DC and other stuff showing up. I swear I'm not randomly adding stuff and there is a legitimate (as far as comic books and fanfics can be) plot reason why. (I'll be honest, I don't know "cannon" marvel really... I watched some movies and animated series as a kid, but I haven't picked up a comic in years. This is just some light-hearted and casual writing for fun. If there are any errors or something you think would be cool please let me know.) I'm also trying to have multiple main characters so that might be jarring for some people while I switch perspective. Sorry in advance, I'm new at this and idk what I'm doing, advice and feedback gladly welcomed!

The same applies to any sentence or paragraph that may sound unnatural in English.

Gray's Crucible
“The value you have brought to trade is immense, more than a thousand fold what any other traveler to Crucible has ever produced. More than even I produced during my journey.” The old man paused for a moment here, seemingly reluctant to continue. After a few seconds he begins again with weariness creeping into his voice. “As the Messenger of Crucible I have received the value of your life. You shall be awarded a body with potential equaling the value you have brought to this place in accordance with the laws of the higher realms. Now you shall depart for Crucible, but first; I, Jaze, will give you some advice.” The old man, Jaze, he had named himself paused a time. Time enough that Gray began to wonder if he was still present, when he suddenly continued in a low and serious tone, “You will undoubtedly have great potential Gray of Earth, but it is still only potential. What could be is not necessarily what will be. If you step foolishly in my world, if you can not live up to the potential you have bartered for, Crucible will crush you mercilessly and tear away your very soul.” A thought, cheerful and light was heard from Gray before his presence was sent rocketing away like a shooting star. “I’m looking forward to it.”
