《Looed and Lost You 》_Chapter Forty-Three: Your ex-goddess friend is a bitch_

I woke up with a start. Another bad dream. I could hear the tv on downstairs where Gabriel sat never moving. We hadn't talked much since we burned Halo's body. Hopefully, that would change over time...but we don't have time. The apocalypse from what Balthazar had told me was moving fast. It was a waiting game now. I rolled out of bed and walked out of my room.

When I made it to the living room I found Gabriel sitting there. He had stopped drinking the day before. But he still was rude and hurtful. I walked over and sat down near the armrest and watched the television. The news was on and it was talking about the crazy weather and deaths.

"Where's Balthazar?" Gabriel asked looking over at me. I picked at the edge of the couch.

"H-He's out...trying to find a new house...he said, hunters and demons and things are going to be wounding...attracted to the death and destruction I caused..." Gabriel looked back over at the tv and was quiet.

"He didn't say that."

"That's what he meant." We went quiet again. The news switched over to a commercial about cleaning supplies or something like that.

"Why are you up so late?" I didn't answer.

"Cansas." He said looking over at me. This was the first time he had said my name since...so I looked up a bit. Not at him though.

"Tell me why you are up? Did you have a bad dream or something." I nodded slowly. Gabriel sighed and ran a hand over his face.

"Tell me about it?" He asked turning towards me. I looked over at him as he waited.

"Um...w-well it was about..." I looked down at the couch and messed with my shaking hands. A hand was placed on them and I looked back to Gabriel a little shocked.

"Y-you were killed," Gabriel went to talk but I cut him off.

"I killed you." Tears came to my eyes a bit thinking about it. Gabriel sighed again squeezed my hands a bit.

"You can't get rid of me that easy. I'm not going anywhere. I promise." I smiled a bit and looked back at the couch. The room fell silent again.

"Cansas-" "Gabriel-" We both said at the same time.

"You can go first," I said moving my hair out of my face. He nodded and continued with what he was going to say.

"I'm so sorry...I've been a dick for the past couple of days...I shouldn't have been rude to you and Balthazar. You two did nothing wrong." I shook my head.

"No, you shouldn't be sorry. I'm the one that should be sorry. You have every right to hate me. I'm a monster." Gabriel pulled me into a hug.

"You are not a monster. No one could have saved...You can't blame yourself." I buried my face in his neck and hugged him tight for the first time in days.

When the doorbell rang was when we pulled apart. Both of us looked at the door in confusion. Who would be at our door at 3 o'clock in the morning?

"I'll get it," Gabriel said standing up. I watched as he walked over to the door and opened it.

"Hello, Master Loki. I'm sorry for disturbing you but you have been invited to a meeting of the gods by Kali." The man standing there handed Gabriel a red card with fancy writing on it. Gabriel looked over the cover and by the time he looked back up the man was gone in the blink of an eye.

"Kali? As in the goddess?" Gabriel nodded and shut the door. He sat back down next to me and opened the card. I waited for him to read over it. His eyes widened a bit and he groaned.

"What is it?" He placed the card down.

"She's gathering Pagan Gods to 'talk' to them about the apocalypse. They're going to get themselves killed." He said standing up.

"Are you going?" I stood up as well.

"I have to. They can't kill Lucifer." I nodded and he pulled his jacket on.

"I'm coming to," In the blink of an eye, I was out of my pj's and in jeans and a blue flannel. Gabriel shook his head. "No. No, they try to eat you." I crossed my arms over my chest.

"Does it look like I care? They can try Gabriel but I think I can handle myself on this one." Gabriel was quite. I was going to stand my ground about this.

"The card does say plus one."

Gabriel zapped us to the location of the meeting.

"That's Dean's car. Why are they here?" I asked looking over to Gabriel who paused at the door.

"To use them probably." He said with a shrug as he opened the glass door.

"Well, then we need to get them out of here." Loki looked back at me with an eye roll.

"Fine." I followed him into the motel and found that it was empty.

"Where is everyone?" Gabriel took my hand and pulled me along.

"You are to stay very close to me got it?"

"Gabe-"

"Codename." I nodded. We walked down a hallway lined with doors until we came to a room where talking could be heard from inside. We stopped and Gabriel looked down at me before snapping his fingers. The doors flew open and he walked in.

"Can't we all just get along?" I quickly followed him into the room to see a few people- or gods sitting at a long table. Sam and Dean stood in front of them. They looked at us in shock.

"Gab-" Gabriel cut them off and all they could do was make clicking noises.

"Sam. Dean. It's always wrong place, worst time with you muttonhead, huh?" The doors closed behind us.

"Loki." The black-haired man at the front of the table said.

"Baldur." I looked up at Sam with excited eyes. "It's the real Baldur," I whispered making him narrow his eyes.

"It's good seeing you too. I guess my invitation got lost in the mail."

"And why did you bring that Demon spawn with you?"

"Oh, he noticed me," I said fanning my face but then crossed my arms with an eye roll. Baldur narrowed his eyes at me and I smiled. Gabriel looked back me before looking back at the gods.

"She's my plus one."

"Loki why are you here?" Baldur asked annoyance showing in his voice.

"To talk about the elephant in the room." One of the gods starting to stand up. "Not you." The god sat back down.

"The Apocalypse. We can't stop it, gang. But first things first. The adults need to have a little conversation. Check you later." Gabriel snapped his fingers and the three of us were transported to a room in the motel.

"Okay. Did that...Holy crap."

"Yeah tell me about it. By the way, next time I say 'let's keep driving' uh, let's keep driving."

"Okay next time." I moved out from behind the two brothers. "Oo, chocolate," I said jumping on the bed and grabbing the piece of chocolate. The room fell silent and I looked back at the brothers who were staring at me.

"Sorry. Please continue." I popped the chocolate into my mouth. My face scrunched up in disgust at the taste. "Oh, god, that's bad," I said continuing to eat it. Don't want food to go to waste right?

"Cansas. Castiel said your baby had been born. Where is it?" I froze and stared at them numbly.

"U-uh...baby's not here at the moment. Please call later." I said forcing a smile on my face. Don't show your hurt...don't show them.

"Cansas-" I shook my head telling them silently what happened.

"Just stop asking. If Gabriel hears...just please." They nodded sympathetically and went back to the conviction at hand.

"So what's our next move?" Sam asked turning back to Dean.

"I-I don't know..." Dean stared at me for a while longer before turning to his brother. "We grab those poor saps out of the freezer, I guess-bust them out. Gank a few freaks along the way if we're lucky."

"And when are you ever lucky?" We all turned to see Gabriel sitting on the couch. I got off the bed and stood up.

"Oh, you know what? Bite me, Gabriel."

"Maybe later big boy."

"I should have known. I mean this had your stink all over it from the jump."

"You think I'm behind this?" Gabriel got off the couch and stood up as well.

"We're here to get you two out," I said before Gabriel could tick off Dean anymore. Dean didn't seem to believe this.

"You two are going to pull us out of the fire?"

"Bingo. Those Gods are either gonna to dust you or use you as bait. Either way your uber-bonded."

"Wow- 'cause a couple of months ago you were telling us that we needed to play our roles. And you were helping." Dean looking over at me. "You two were uber-boning us." I sighed heavily at this. Why did they have to be so hard headed?

"Ohhhhh, the end is still nigh. Michael and Lucifer are going to dance the lambada." He walked over to me and the turned to look at the brothers. "But not tonight. Not here."

"And why do you care?" I looked up to Gabriel to see he did care about the Gods in the motel. I mean if you have lived with them as long as Gabriel has I wouldn't expect anything else.

"I don't care. But...Me and Kali, uh, had a thing. Chick was all hands." I rolled my eyes and looked down. To say I wasn't a little bit jealous was an understatement. "What can I say? I'm sentimental."

"Do they have a chance? Against Satan?"

"Really Sam?"

"You got a better idea, Dean?"

"It's a bad idea. Lucifer's gonna turn them into finger paint. So let's get going while the going's good."

"Okay, great. So why don't you just zap us out of here, then?"

"Would if I could. But Kali's got you by the short and curlies. It's a blood spell. You boys are on a leash." Gabriel looked down at me his eyes widened a bit.

"She got you too." I narrowed my eyes.

"What do you-" I hissed when Loki wiped the blood off my neck. "Eh!" I swatted his hand away and placed my hand over the cut. "God I hate your little girlfriend Gabriel." He rolled his eyes.

"It didn't mean anything to me, Candy."

"I mean how many Goddesses have you slept with? Athena, Kali. How many are there?" I asked my jealousy getting the better of me.

"Only one."

"What? Did you lie about Athena or-"

"You." I froze and my cheeks became red.

"Okay, TMI. We're gonna take the hors-d'oeuvres in the freezer with us."

"Forget it. It's gonna be hard enough sneaking you mooks out of here."

"They called you 'Loki' right? Which means they don't really know who you are."

"Told you- I'm in witness protection."

"Okay, well, then how about you do what we say, or we tell the, uh, Legion of doom about your secret identity? They don't seem like a very pro-angel kind of crowd." Gabriel walked closer to Dean.

"I'll take your voices away."

"We'll write it down."

"I'll cut off your hands."

"Then people are gonna be asking, 'why are you guys running around with no hands?'" Gabriel stared at them before breathing deeply.

"Fine. Cansas. Help them. I'll get your blood back." And then he disappeared.

"Let's go." We all walked out of the room and into the lobby. Before we could get to the kitchen a few of the gods walked out pulling a screaming man with them. We pressed ourselves against the wall and watched as they pinned him to the desk.

Dean went to go help but Sam pulled him back. "It's too late." And right after Sam breathed that sentence the man's head was chopped off his body. They pulled his body away and the three of us got to the kitchen.

Sam started to pick the lock but it was taking forever. "Could you be any slower. Move." I said but before I could do anything I was thrown into the wall behind me. Dean was thrown back as well and he landed on top of me.

"Ohhhh, g-get o-off," I said in pain. Dean rolled off and grabbed the stake from out of his jacket pocket. I looked back to Sam to see he was being strangled by the god. Dean stood up and stabbed the god in the back killing him. I stood up and held my side. I looked down to see I was bleeding.

"Great," I said as it started to heal.

"Where the Hell is Gabriel?!" Dean asked looking over at me.

"Kali must have gotten him."

"Right you are." We all turned back around to see Baldur standing there with two other gods. They walked over and grabbed Sam and Dean pulling them over to the door. "Cansas!" Dean shouted struggling against the god.

"She won't use her powers unless she wants harm to come to her precious Angel. Am I right Demon?" I stared daggers at the god. He grabbed me by the arm and he pulled him after the other two gods. Sam and Dean were roughly pushed into the room.

Baldur pulled me over to where he stood behind Kali. Gabriel sat in front of her. "How long have you known?"

"Long enough."

The two brothers were pushed into chairs. "How's the rescue going?" Gabriel looked over at them and gave them a bitch face.

"Well, surprise, surprise. The trickster has tricked us."

"Kali...don't." Kali looked back down at him.

"You're mine now." Kali sat down on the arm of the chair. "And you have something I want." Kali ran her hand down Gabriel's chest. Baldur's grip on my arm tightened as he looked away. I struggled against his grip and growled. I wanted to rip her head off. Kali pulled out Gabriel's angel blade out and held it up.

"An Archangel's blade. From the archangel, Gabriel." Kali got up and I stared daggers at her. Gabriel was quite.

"Okay. Okay! So I got wings. Like Kotex. But that doesn't make me any less right about Lucifer."

"He's lying. He's a spy."

"I'm not a spy. I'm a runaway. I'm trying to save you. I know my brother Kali. He should scare the living crap out of you. You can't beat him. I've skipped ahead-seen how this story ends."

"You're story. Not ours. Westerners. I swear the sheer arrogance. You think you're the only ones on Earth? You pillage and butcher in your God's name. But you're not the only religion. And he's not the only God. And you think you can just rip the planet apart. You're wrong. There are billions of us. And we were here first. If anyone gets to end this world...it's me." She said placing a hand on his face.

I carefully watched her but even an eagle couldn't have seen her raise the blade. "I'm sorry." She said. I narrowed my eyes at this but it became clear what she was going to do.

"No! No! Wait!" But it didn't stop her. Kali stabbed Gabriel in the stomach and bright blue lights poured out of his eyes and mouth. "NO!" I shouted throwing Baldur off of me. I tackled Kali to the ground. "I'll kill you!" I shouted. My eyes had turned into there black and blue color. Tears formed. I wrapped my hands around her neck and squeezed. She fought against me but I won in power.

My body shook at the image of him dead. It rattled in my brain. I let out a sob and my grip loosened. Someone ripped me off her and I fell at Gabriel's feet. The god that had ripped me off Kali was Baldur who then helped her up. I sat myself up and looked into the face of my dead angel.

"They can die. We can kill Lucifer." After that, I blocked everything out. I pulled the angel blade out of his stomach and let it fall to the ground. I placed a hand over his wound and I placed another on the side of his face.

"I-It's o-okay...I-It's o-okay..."
