《Looed and Lost You 》_Chapter Thirty-one: Pinky Promise_

A few days past.
I stayed to myself for the most part.
Whenever I was around the two angels I would try to keep my distance.
I had gone back to get Cathetel's body but it wasn't there. Nor were the others.
All they had left was Cathetel's angel blade. I had Gabriel pick it up from the field so I didn't destroy it.
Now I sat in my empty room. All my belongings were packed in bags. A knock was heard on the door and it opened.
"You ready to go Cansas?" I looked over slightly to see Gabriel standing there.
"Yeah..." I said slowly. Getting up off the ground I grabbed all the bags I could.
"I'm going to drive...if that's alright."
"Of course. I can send the rest of the stuff over to the new house." I nodded and started to make my way out of the room. Before I walk away Gabriel grabbed my arm and I took a sharp intake of air.
"Cansas. Wait a second." I looked up at him slowly. Gabriel let go and pulled something out of his inner pocket. It was Cathetel's blade.
"I've noticed you don't have one of your own. I want you to have something just in case..." I shook my head.
"N-no...I can't take it...I-I helped-"
"You didn't get her killed Cansas. She would have wanted you to have her blade." He held the blade out for me to take it. I looked at it for a long time before I hesitantly took it from him.
"I'll meet you at the house. Call me if anything comes up." Gabriel pulled me into a hug. I held my breath. "You're not going to hurt me Cansas," Gabriel said placing a kiss on the side of my head. He pulled away.
"I-I'll see you later," I said walking past him. I heard him sigh from behind me. Walking through the empty living room I looked around.
"Are you going to miss the place?" I looked over to find Balthazar. "I don't think I am. It was his." Balthazar said gesturing to his vessel.
"He didn't like it either." I smiled slightly.
"I am...but I'm used to moving around...it shouldn't be much different." The last part was a lie. This is where I finally had a sense of family. But I messed up and ruined it.
"Well, you should be on your way if you want to make it to the house by nightfall," Balthazar said taking his hand out of his pockets.
"Be careful, Cansas."
"I'll try." And with that, I walked out of the house. It has been a while since I had driven a car. I always just teleported places. Opening the back seat I threw my stuff in and then got into the front seat. I started the car and it roared to life.

I drove down the long driveway until I got to the main road. Heading south I turned my radio on.
Several hours of driving later I came to a stop at a small blue townhouse. It reminded me of my old house as a kid. I got out of the car and grabbed all my stuff. I heard children laughing in the distance and I looked to see them playing. How I wish I could turn the clock back and not a have a single care in the world.
With a deep sigh, I walked up the porch. The door opened to show off a smiling Gabriel. "Candy Cane." He said opening the door for me. Walking in I looked around. It was way smaller then the huge mansion we used to live in but it felt more homely.
"Rooms are upstairs...but you know that." He seemed more excited about this then was needed. "You want to show me?" He nodded his head fast and basically ran up the stairs. I followed him up and he waited for me at the top.
"You get to pick any room. Or all the rooms. You know, because we don't sleep." I looked down the short hallway. Opening the door closest to me I walked in. It was a nice room. A window looked out at the front yard. My bed appeared in the corner as well as my dresser(courtesy of Gabriel). A small closet was on the wall in front of the bed.
"Thank you, Gabriel," I said with a small smile. He gave me a cheeky one and walked up next to me. Gabriel wrapped his arm around my shoulder and I sucked in a breath, holding it in my lungs.
"You're still half human, Cansas. Human's need to breathe." He looked over the window and squeezed my shoulder. I let the air out of my lungs and started to breathe. "You're not going to hurt me Cansas."
I looked up at him slightly. "But if I did...I-"
"Cansas," He looked down at me. "I need you to believe me when I say this. I'm a lot tougher then I look. Nothing is going to happen to me."
We kept eye contact for several seconds before I looked out the window. "Y-you're right...i-i'm just scared..." Gabriel pulled me into a hug and I wrapped my arms around him tight. "Everything is going to alright." He rubbed my back and relaxed for the time in a few day.
"...do you want to watch cartoons?" I pulled away to look up at him.
"Is that even a question?"
We stood there for a minute before both started to run out the room. I turned to the stairs and ran down. Gabriel jumped every other step. When we both made it down the stairs we ran the short distance to the couch. I jumped over the side of the couch and landed on it. But I later learned that was a big mistake.

Gabriel had the same idea and instead of landing on the couch he landed on top of me.
"Oof! G-Gabriel. Y-you're-crushing me!" I said slapping his stomach.
"But you're so comfy." He whined patting my hand. I pulled my hand away and tried pushing him off. But that didn't work. "Gabe!!!" It was my turn to whine. "I just want to watch cartoons! I don't want to be a pancake."
"But pancakes are good." I then took hold of some of his hair and started to pull.
"Gabe! Gabe! Gabe! Gabe! Gabe! Gab-"
"Alright! Alright!" He said rolling so he was behind me. "Better?" I looked over at him and smiled. "Much."
I reached over and grabbed the remote from the coffee table. Turned the tv on I turned the channels till I got the cartoon Looney Tunes. I snuggled into Gabriel and he wrapped his arm around me.
We watched cartoons until we were the sound of wings was heard from behind us. I looked over to see Balthazar standing there holding two pizza boxes in his hands.
"Balthy. Where have you been?" I sat up and Gabriel's arms wrapped around my waist. He walked over to the armchair and sat down, placing the pizza on the table. "How about we eat first."
"Yeah, I'm starving," Gabriel said sitting up.
"Okay, I'll go get plates." I got off the couch and walked into the kitchen. After I found the plates I walked back into the living to see Gabriel already starting to eat. "You couldn't have waited for a plate?" He looked over at me and shook his head. I sat down and handed them each a plate.
I took two pieces and placed them on my plate. "So when did you get here Cansas?" Balthazar asked me. I took a bite of my pizza. "A few hours ago."
"Have you just been watching tv all day?" I looked over to Gabriel who looked over at me with a mouth full of pizza.
"Maybe..." We both looked back over to Balthazar who shook his head. "You two need to find something better to do with your day."
"That is very true," I said taking another bite of my food.
Later that night I sat in my bed reading a book. A soft knock was heard and I looked up to see Gabriel stick his head in the room. "Hey." I placed my book down on my lap. "What's up?" I asked as he walked into my room.
"You're up." I chuckled and patted the bed next to me. He climbed into the bed next to me and curled up on my side. I run a hand through his hair. "What's wrong?" He wrapped his arms around me. "Nothing..." He said just loud enough for me to hear him. I narrowed my eyes slightly.
"Gabe...You know you can talk to me right?" He nodded his head. This wasn't like him.
"Angel...Angel looked at me." Gabriel didn't move for a while before he looked up at me. "What's wrong?"
"Would you move to a different dimension with me?" He asked holding onto me tighter.
"And what dimension would we move to?" I asked jokingly. But something told me he wasn't joking.
"Any dimension you want. I don't care..." I rubbed Gabriel's cheek with my thumb while I stayed quiet. "Gabriel...why are you bringing this up?" He looked away from me.
"Balthazar...he has been in Heaven all day...trying to sort things out with his flock..." I nodded in understanding. He was there when I...It's no wonder his flock would have questions.
"But he also found out...He found out that the demons have only a few more seals to break before..." Before they let the devil out. Cathetel told me this just a few days ago... "He's not going to get to you, Gabriel. I won't let him near you. But Gabriel-we can't leave this world to suffer. They're going to need all the help they can get."
"Cansas, I'm not going to let him come near you," Gabriel said sitting up and looking into my eyes. "And this world...It's not going to be here for much longer...If everyone plays their roles then it will be over in no time and we can come back. I will not put you in harm's way."
"And who's supposed to play their roles?" He looked away from my eyes. He knew that Balthazar had told me about Sam and Dean being the vessels for his brothers. And I knew he didn't really want the world to end.
"Cansas...It just needs to be over. It just needs to go back to the way it was."
"I want that just as much as you...but you know deep down that's not going to happen...Gabriel-I want to stay and fight for the world I love. For the people I love."
"I wish you wouldn't do that." He looked back up at him. Sadness deep in his eyes.
"I know...I sometimes wish that too. But it's what I do...And Gabriel-you don't have to stay. You have the choice to go. I-I won't stop you." He shook his head with a sigh.
"I'm never going to run out on you. Never again." He then pulled me into a hug which I accepted greatly. "And if you want to stay and fight...then I'll let you. But you are not to get anywhere close to Lucifer."
"Neither are you." We pulled apart and I held my pinky finger out.
"Deal." Gabriel intertwined his pinky with mine.
"Deal."

School-life & Swordfights: A Clubs and Stubs Tale
Warning: Clubs and Stubs contains strong language and situations throughout that may not be suitable for younger readers. "This story takes place in a fantasy world with a modernish setting. It mainly follows four students of Hardires High School who are members of one of the greatest Team Arena Squads in the history of gladiatorial school athletics. Already two-time high-school world champions, they have entered their fourth and final year of high school in hopes of capturing a third straight world championship—something that no other school on the continent has accomplished. As they prepare for an upcoming match with a rival school, it becomes evident that keeping their two-and-a-half-year winning streak alive will be tougher than expected. As both personal and external problems abound for the student-gladiators, can they manage to keep it together under the constant pressure of being the perfect fighting unit? A blend of action, drama, adventure, and humor collide in this brand-new series!" Thanks so much for checking out my story! This is the first time that I've released any of my work to a public space so any feedback, be it positive or negative (but please be respectful if so) would be greatly appreciated. I'm hoping that this story is only the beginning of a long-running series of short stories set in the Clubs and Stubs universe. Temporary Book Cover Design by David Watson The release schedule is rather tentative, but the goal is to release a chapter every 2-4 days. I want to make sure that every scene is the best it can be before it’s released, so it may take a bit longer especially if it's a longer chapter. However, no chapter should take more than a week to be released. Each scene varies in length, but are usually between 1,000 to 2,000 words.

Ocean Attuned - A timeloop LitRPG
In the mids of industrialization, Liana, a girl of almost twelve, awakens her flow and follows her newly awakened calling, the ocean, and thus the path of the last remaining god. With the advent of industry, one's status and the accompanying skills slowly grow to be secondary as people choose more recreational skills and classes. The clear exception are flow bringers. Humans with an increased affinity towards flow and attunements are the only real remnants of the age of gods and mysticism. Terrors on the battlefield, saints in hospitals, saviours during drought, are just some examples of the wonderous abilities they display. As civilization grows less dangerous so does the stress that is often associated with the awakening of the flow reduce and only the real talents remain. Please be aware that this is a first draft at best. Tag/Genre analysis: Action: A theme that will appear in the story at some point (probably 15+ chapters in) Adventure: Yes Fantasy: Yes Magic, Beasts, and other fantastical elements are totally at home here. Tragedy: Life is not always fun. For what is fun when there are no downsides. I don't know how heavily I am going to lean into this genre. I want to but don't expect too much. Loop: Yes, though I will not divulge anything else. Just be aware that there isn't nearly as much looping as in MoL for example. Female Lead: Yes, Liana is female. Dungeon: Yes, there are dungeons. Yes, they will get explored. LitRPG: Yes, read the first chapter if you want an example. Magic: most definitely because who doesn't like calling lighting down from the heavens. (Disclaimer: No actual lightning will be called down from the heavens) Mythos: There are gods. So maybe, I don't know if that is enough to qualify? Progression: yes Slice of Life: There is plot, and the story will mostly be about that plot, but there will also be downtime because there can't always be action. The first "loop" especially the first 20-30 chapters will be heavily SoL. And afterward there will be a lot less. Profanity: The ocean (see title) includes sailors and we all know how the stereotypical sailor is. Gore: Hmmm, some but I will have it be not graphic at all.
