《Looed and Lost You 》_Chapter Sixteen: A wise man told me_

I let go of the angel wide-eyed. "Why-what-have you told Cansas?" Her angel's eyes softened and he looked away.
"Why?! She almost killed herself over it!" I shouted at him. He looked back up. "And that's why I haven't told her yet. I just want her to be happy! I don't want her to be anything but happy!" Her angel shouted back.I put my knife away and clenched my fists
"You...I want to kill you. You could have protected our parents. If you think she's happy now then you have lost your mind. She will never be happy for the rest of her life." Her angel and I stayed quiet for a while before I huffed and grabbed my jacket.
"We will be talking later about this," I said walking out of the motel room.

I looked out the window of my sister's car to see her walking over. She got in the car and looked over at me. "Where's Loki?" I asked making her look out her window.
"He's coming. Sorry, you had to wait. I couldn't find my jacket so I asked Loki if he could help me." I nodded and looked back out my window to see Loki making his way over. He seemed sad.
"Did you do something to him?" I asked looking back over at my sister.
"What? No." Loki then got in the car. "Where too?" He asked rubbing his hands together. "How does pizza sound to you guys?" Scout asked looking over to me. "Pizza sounds great."
We drove until we got to a tiny pizza parlor. We all got out of the car and walked into the pizza place. It was empty except for the family that was ordering at the front. Sitting down in a booth at the back, I scooted over so Loki could sit down next to me.
"So how about large meat lovers?" Scout asked. I mused at the thought of the pizza.
"Oh my god yes."
Scout smiled and we waited for the teenage boy to walk over and take our order. Once that was done we started to talk. "You want to tell me how you got that scar?" I asked with excitement making Scout chuckle. "Ares." My mouth fell open. "And you're alive?" Scout nodded.

"Oh yeah. The thing is. He wasn't very bright upstairs," She said tapping her head. "He went into it blind. I got the drop on him and stabbed him in the head." She said with a smirk.
"What did you kill him with?"
"With his own sword. When we get back I'll have to show you the thing." I smiled widely at this.
"You think it can kill Norse gods?" I asked making Loki look over at me.
"And here I thought we were just starting to like each other." Looking over at a smiling Loki I chuckled.
When we were done eating we drove back to the motel. "So I'll go get us a room. I'll be back in a bit alright." They both nodded and I walked off.

When Cansas was out of hearing range I dug my hands into my pockets and leaned against the wall behind me. "When do you plan on telling her? Today? Tomorrow? A week? A year?"
"I don't know...but you're right. She's never going to be truly happy. But I know if I tell her now...She'll hate me. A-and I can't take that." I looked over at the angel.
"Then why hang around her? It's only going to make it worst."
Cansas's angel ran a hand over his face with a heavy sigh. "Because I'm trying to protect her. Other angels tried to kill her a couple of weeks ago. She knows about her powers."
"God," I said running a hand through my hair.
"Do you know who the demon is? Is it Quinn?" I asked looking over at the angel. He shook his head.
"No. It's not Quinn. I ran into her a few days ago...I asked her about it. She said he was going to be king one day. That's all I could get out of her."
"You didn't kill her?" The angel shook his head.
"There were too many of them. She left before I could." I growled slightly and looked up at the sky.
"I have one more question before Cansas comes back," I said looking over to the angel. "What's the real reason an archangel of the Lord decided to come and help an antichrist?" Cansas's angel looked over at me. He hesitated before answering,

"Because I looked into her future...a-and I saw that-" He was cut off by Cansas shouting over to us.
"I got the room Loki! Could you grab my stuff pretty please!" She shouted from a few doors down.
"Sure thing Candy." Her angel called to her. "This doesn't give you a free pass on the question, angel. We'll talk later."
****
I looked back out the door to see Loki going into my car and grabbing my stuff while Scout shut the door after he grabbed it. Loki walked over as Scout walked back into her room.
"Scout said to meet her in her room when we were done."
"Alright," I said taking the bags from him. I placed them on the floor and pushed my bag full of weapons under the bed. "Hey, I meant to ask if you were okay?" I said turning to look at Loki.
"Why wouldn't I be?" He said as I walked over to me.
"I don't know...but like a wise man told me. I'm always here if you need to talk. Even though you demigods have a strict no emotion but fun rule." I said taking his hand and smiling up at him.
Loki chuckled. "I'll keep that in mind." He said kissing me on the forehead.
"Okay, let's get to Scouts room before she thinks something's up," I said walking out of the room with Loki following behind me.
We walked into Scouts room to see her finishing off the beer she had left on the table. "So, what gods are we going to be hunting?" I asked pulling a chair out from under the table and sitting down.
"Okay. So I read in the newspaper a couple of days ago that there has been a few murder in town. They all had their hearts ripped out of their chests. But get this. Parts of their body had been turned to stone. Like their legs, arms, and sometimes there head."
"So Medusa?" I asked as Loki came and stood behind me.
"That's what I thought, but the only problem is Perseus killed her. And she was known for fully turning her victims to stone. Not just parts of them." I narrowed my eyes.
"Well then who is it?"
"If you look deeper into mythology you'd see that she had two other sisters. Stheno and Euryale."
"But they're not gods right?"
"No, they're not. They have been kidnapping gods." My eyes widened. "What? Why would they be killing humans then?"
"Everyone needs to eat," Scout said placing her now empty bottle of beer on the nightstand. "Do you know who they have kidnapped?" Scout reached over the other side of the bed and pulled out a huge bronze shield with the face of Medusa.
"Athena. And I believe Pegasus."
I stood up and Scout handed me the shield. "Why would they kidnapped them and not just kill them?" I asked looking up from the shield.
"I don't know. I plan on asking them when we get there." I placed the shield down. "You know where they are? Why would you need my help if you know all of this?"
"Well for one, In case I need help. Two, if Athena and Pegasus decided I look like a good meal. And Third, you're still a virgin. You can get them out of their cave." A deep blush formed on my cheeks as Loki started to laugh behind me. "I-I am not," I said crossing my arms over my chest.
"Oh come on Candy. I bet your little demigod friend here can smell you a mile away. You wouldn't give yourself away that easy."
"And you would?" I asked, face redder than tomatoes.
"I've had my fair share of nightly activities." She said with a smirk. I huffed and looked away from her. "Whatever." Scout then started to chuckle. "It's not a bad thing Cansas." She said walking over to me.
"Yeah, yeah sure. I'm going to get some sleep." I said walking towards the door.
"I'll see you in the morning Candy." Scout chuckled. I looked back at her and stuck my tongue out.
"You coming Loki?"
"Of course." He said walking out the door with me. "You don't think I smell that strong do you?"
"What? No. No, I can't smell you at all."
"You're such a jerk."
