《Looed and Lost You 》_Chapter Five: Candy Man_

"Aww. You're still sad mommy and daddy are dead, aren't you?"
A rotting faced demon asked me as I push myself off the ground. "I'll be happy once all of you scum are dead," I said kicking the demon in the gut. He stumbles backward right where I wanted him. He goes to walk over to me but is stopped by an invisible force.
He looks up at the ceiling to see a black devils trap. "Who's sad now?" The demon growls.
"You're going to get it, little girl. I'm not alone. My friends. They'll kill you. Rip the skin off your bones." The demon said as I wiped some of the blood from my lip onto my hand.
"You mean the friends that came in before you?" I asked pulling a chair that had fallen to the ground in front of the devil's trap. I sat down with a huff and took my hair out of the ponytail I had it in.
"Now. Before we continue this, I have a couple of questions I would like to ask you." I said reaching over to my black bag that had been kicked over to the wall. I pulled it over and opened it. I grabbed a silver flask full of holy water out.
"I'm not going to tell you anything." The demon said as its eyes turned black. I sighed and unscrewing the top.
"Well, I have all the time in the world," I said running a hand through my tangled hair. "Now tell me, where can I find Quinn?" The demon laughed.
"Quinn? She hasn't been seen in years."
I splashed him with holy water which made the demon growl in pain as he grabbed his face. Some of the holy water got on my hand and it stung. But it always did that so ignored it and I wiped it off on my jeans.
"Are you ready to tell me where she is?" The demon looked to me. "Ask anyone. She's a rogue. Doesn't like to work with others. Azazel was the last one to see her."
"Who's Azazel?" The demon laughed.
"Now that's a question I can't answer. He'll kill me if I did." I splashed him again and he grabbed his smoking face yet again. Once the smoking was gone he looked at me again. "I'm not talking. And holy waters not going to make me."
I narrowed my eyes at him and reached into my black bag grabbing a black leather journal. I flipped through the pages until I came to the exorcism. I looked back up at the demon. "Last shot to tell me."
"I'll pass."
"Your loss," I said as I stood up. "Exorcizamus te, omnis immundus spiritus, omnis satanica potestas, omnis incursio infernalis adversarii, omnis legio, omnis congregatio et secta diabolica. Ergo, omnis legio diabolica, adiuramus te...cessa decipere humanas creaturas, eisque æternæ perditionìs venenum propinare..."
The demon started to make demonic noises as he slowly fell to his knees. "Vade, satana, inventor et magister omnis fallaciæ, hostis humanæ salutis...humiliare sub potenti manu Dei; contremisce et effuge, invocato a nobis sancto et terribili nomine...quem inferi tremunt..."
The demon grabbed his head and growled again. "Ab insidiis diaboli, libera nos, Domine. Vt Ecclesiam tuam sccura tibi facias libertate servire, te rogamus, audi nos."
The demon threw his head up to the ceiling as black smoke flew out of the person's mouth. Once the demon was out of the man he fell to the ground. I placed the black journal on the chair I had been sitting in and walked over to the man.

I knelt down next to him and checked for his pulse. Letting out a sigh of relief that he was living I rolled him onto his back and threw his arm around my neck. The man groaned and slowly opened his eyes.
"Who...where am I?"
"You're at your house. You've been attacked. I'm taking you to the hospital." I said helping him to his feet. "Thank...you." I smiled a bit as we started to walk to the door.
"It's no biggie,"
"I see you're still drawing." Someone said from behind us. I froze at the familiar sounding voice. The man I was supporting turned his head to see who it was but in the sound of snapping fingers he was gone. I clenched my fist at my side.
"Come on Candy. Didn't you miss me?"
I turned around to find the trickster standing there holding my sketchbook. I looked to him and then to my black bag. I made a dash for my bag but was stopped by an invisible force.
"Come on. Don't be a party pooper, Candy." I narrowed my eyes at him. "Don't call me that," I growled.
"But it suits you." He said walking closer to me.
"H-how are you still alive? I saw Dean..." I was cut off. "Well, Dean missed my heart. I thought you'd be a little more excited to see me alive and well Cansas." He said moving a strand of hair behind my ear.
"Please. You lied and tried to kill me. I was excited to see you dead." I hissed.
"I never lied to you." I narrowed my eyes up at him. "Okay. So what if my name isn't Gabriel. Or that I don't have any brothers. But I never tried to kill you."
"Let me go," I said getting angrier. The trickster snapped his fingers and the invisible force was lifted making me stumble forward, almost running into the trickster.
"Better? Are you less angry at me now?" I looked away from him and went to push past him but he grabbed my bare arm.
I turned to face him as I clenched my fists. He looked at me and then to my arm to see the many scars up and down it. A flash of worry crossed his face but it was gone as soon as it came. I pulled my arm away quickly.
"Don't touch me," I said walking away from him and over to my bag. I knelt down on the ground and rolled my blue plaid sleeves down over my arms, tears coming to my eyes. "Cansas-"
"What's your real name anyway?" I asked putting my black journal back in my bag and wiping the tear that fell from my eyes. I slung my bag over my shoulder and stood up to face him. The trickster stayed quiet for a little while.
"The names Loki." I chuckled. "Like the comic book character?"
"I'm much better looking than him," I shook my head as I walked past him and over to the door.
"Wait! Where are we going?" He asked catching up to me. I stopped and turned to face him.
"We," I said gesturing in between me and Loki. "Aren't going anywhere. I'm leaving." I said started to walk again. I opened the door to the house and was followed by Loki.
"Come on. Don't be like that." He said from behind me.

"Like what? I should call Sam and Dean and tell them you're still kicking." Loki hopped in front of me making me stop. "But you won't." I rolled my eyes and walked around him.
I made it to my car and opened the back door. Putting my bag on the ground I lifted the back seat to show off all the weapons I owned. I picked up the stake I never got to use on Loki and turned around to face him, weapon pointed at his stomach.
"Is that your weapon or are you just excited to see me?" I pressed the tip of the stake into his stomach harder and he held his hands up.
"Okay, Okay. I didn't mean to offend you." I dropped the stake from him. I turned around and threw the weapon back into the backseat. I put the seat back how it was and shut the door. Opening the driver's side door I looked up only to see Loki staring at me.
"What is with you? Why, of all people, do you want to annoy me?"
"I thought we had a thing going. Really bonded." He said leaning over the car door.
"Over a lie," I said getting into my car shutting the car door.
"Okay, good point. But don't you humans lie all the time to get what you want?" I looked over to see Loki sitting in the passenger seat. I went to get out only from Loki to grab my hand.
"Wait," I looked over at him and huffed. Loki let go of my hand and I plopped myself back in my seat.
"If I told you where that demon you are looking for is, would you let me stay with you for a while?"
"You know where she is?"
"Quinn? Yes. But you have to answer my question." I narrowed my eyes a bit. Did I really want to find Quinn that bad?
"Fine. Now tell me where she is." The trickster smirked and sat back in the seat.
"Burning. In hell." My eyes widened a bit. "She's not on Earth?" Loki shook his head.
"Nope." I sighed and sat back in my seat.
"Great,"
"Why did you want to find her anyway?" I looked over at him before turning my car on. "She killed my mother and father. Now shut your face while I drive." I said pulling out of the driveway of the house.
After a while of driving with Loki who had to stop every two seconds to get food from gas stations, I found a motel and pulled into the parking lot. I got out of the car followed by Loki.
I put my phone in my back pocket and made my way to the main office to check in and get a room. Once we got in there Loki instantly went straight for the candy they had in a little bowl.
"Dude. You just had a jumbo-sized chocolate bar." I said walking over to the desk.
"You can never have too much." He said with his mouth full. I sighed and walked up to the desk making the women behind it look up at me.
"One room with two beds please," I said with a slight smile. The women nodded and typed something on the computer.
"Um...it looks like we are all out of rooms with two beds. Would you be interested in a queen-sized bed?" I tapped my fingers on the desk and turned to see Loki finishing off the candy bowl and then turned back with a sigh.
"Yeah. Sure." The women nodded and typed something on the computer before spinning around in her chair to face a wall full of keys. She stood up and grabbed one of the last remaining keys. She placed it on the counter and I handed her my credit card.
She scanned it and then handed it back to me. "You're in room H-20." She said with a smile as I took the key off the counter.
"Thank you," I walked over to the door. "Come on Loki," I said opening the door and walking out. Soon after Loki ran out and caught up with me. I walked out to my car and opened the trunk. I grabbed my blue bag full of clothes and picked up a piece of loose clothing.
"These yours?" I looked over to see Loki holding a pair of my purple lace underwear. With wide eyes, I grabbed them from him and stuffed it in my bag.
"Don't touch my stuff," I said closing the trunk and walking to the motel. I found room H-20 and opened the blue fading colored door. I opened the door and walked in with Loki close behind. He turned the lights on as I made my way over to the bathroom.
"Which side you sleeping on?" Loki asked with a smirk.
Ignoring him I walked into the bathroom and shut the door. I placed my blue bag in the sink and pulled out black leggings and a gray baggy sweatshirt. I pulled my clothes off and looked at the bruises that had started to form on my stomach, legs, and arms.
I went to grab my pj's when I caught a glimpse of red out of the corner of my eye. I looked to my side and saw a long cut that ran down my side. I hadn't even noticed it was there. It didn't even hurt.
"Oh, I spoke too soon," I said to myself as it started to sting and burn. I slightly opened the wound to see if it was deep and to my luck, it wasn't. I dug through my bag for any bandages and found some at the bottom of my bag.
I wrapped the white bandage around my waist and then threw the rest back in my bag. Once that was taken care of I pulled my black leggings on and then my sweatshirt. I grabbed my bag and walked out of the bathroom to find Loki reclined out on the bed.
Placing my bag down on the ground at the end of the bed and I walked over to the left side of the bed.
"Move over," I said making Loki open one eye.
"I just got comfy." He whined. I sighed and grabbed the remote from the bedside table. I threw it to him and he caught it. Moving the sheets away from the bed I got under them and pulled them up a little.
I took the remote from Loki and turned the tv on. I scrolled through the channels and found the cartoon Scooby Doo. I placed the remote back on the bedside table and turned back to Loki.
"Rules," I said getting his attention. "What about them?"
"I'm making some. Rule one: There will be no messes in the motel. Rule two: don't let anyone in. Rule number three: No touching my stuff. And then rule number four: Please stay on your side of the bed." Loki nodded.
"Will do." I turned back to the tv and got comfy. As I watched Scooby Doo run away from a lake monster I started to feel my eyes get heavier until finally they shut and I fell asleep.

While casually studying for his upcoming university exam, Aven suddenly felt the world around him start warping. It started with flashes of light appearing from nowhere, quickly escalating into his whole world becoming an absolute mess of flickering pixels and chaotic color flows, as if reality had become a malfunctioning glitched screen. What he could recognize as numbers, letters, and strange symbols flew everywhere around him, obviously trying to form a coherent whole to be displayed before his eyes, but such attempts kept failing, again and again. Before he could even start thinking about how both mesmerizing and absurd this spectacle was, however, it all stopped, as suddenly as it had begun. Accompanying the end of this unique show, 2 things happened. First, knowledge had spontaneously appeared in his mind and he could perfectly understand it, as if it had always been there, just inaccessible. Second, a weird simultaneously hot and cold energy had made its apparition inside his body completely unannounced. Aven had just simply and purely awakened his innate ability and the energy potential of his cells, joining the world of the supers, a minority that had always controlled and protected the world since ancient times, by becoming one of them. *** Do you have a sci-fi itch to scratch?
