《Looed and Lost You 》_Prologue: Tutu's and Angel wings_

"You've got to be kidding me! Cansas made the lights go out again!" A ten-year-old blonde headed girl shouted as she barged into the tiny red townhouse. "She didn't mean to Honor. She's only four years old." Another blond haired girl said.
"Shut up Scout!" Honor shouted. Scout sighed and held the door open for her youngest sister, Cansas, who also had blond hair. The little girl had tears running down her cheeks as she walked in the house. A woman also with blonde hair walked into the living room from the kitchen and picked her youngest child up. Cansas's pick tutu fluffing up in the process.
"Honor be nice. What happened?" She asked as Cansas placed her head under her mother's chin and wrapped her arms around her neck. "We were playing outside with the boys across the street when Cansas tripped. She screamed and the all the lights went out. She can't keep doing that mom!" Honor explained. Their mother sighed. "Honor, Scout. How about you go upstairs and finish your homework."
Honor's mouth falls open. "But Mom! I-" Honor was cut off by her mother. "I wasn't asking Honor." She lets out an annoyed huff and runs up the brown carpeted stairs followed by Scout. The women sighed and carries her youngest over to the black couch. She sits down and places Cansas on her lap so she can see the little girl's face.
She moves some of the girls wild blond hair out of her face and smiles. "Hey. There's nothing to cry about. You did nothing wrong." She said warmly. Cansas's big blue tear-filled eyes look up at her mother. "B-but I turned the light out." She said letting out a tiny sob. Her mother's eyes soften. "Come here, baby. It's alright." She says pulling her child into her chest.
Cansas pulls her arms and legs closer to her body as her mother rubs her back. The door opened and in walked a man with blonde hair. "Isabella? Where ar..." He stopped talking when he found his wife sitting on the couch. He shut the door and walked over. Cansas moved her head to the side to see her father. He knelt down next to Isabella and took hold of Cansas's hand.
"It's alright sweetie. You didn't mean it. They'll fix the lights." He said with a smile. Cansas buried her face back in Isabella's neck. Cansas's mother and father both looked at each other. A look that said 'we need to talk later'. Later that night when all three children were asleep the two parents started to get ready for the night.
"What should we do Lucas? It's getting to the point where other hunters might try to hunt her. And you know that there is more than just one that would try." Isabella said pulling the covers back from the bed. Lucas came out of the bathroom as he ran a hand over his face.
"I don't know. I've never come across any other human, demon children before. Neither has Winchester." Lucas said walking over to the other side of the bed. Isabella looked down at the covers and thought for a minute. "We could...talk to-" She was cut off by her husband.
"No. We will not be summoning him. He is off limits." He said getting into bed. Isabella sighed and got into bed as well pulling the covers over both of them. "Maybe she will stop on her own," Isabella said turning on her side. "Yeah...maybe."

About an hour later the sound of banging was heard from downstairs followed by the sound of the door being kicked open. Cansas woke up and jumped out of bed. She ran to her closet and grabbed her silver knife, clutching it tightly. Loud footsteps were heard coming up the stairs then it went quiet.
Cansas walked over to her door and pressed her ear to it. "Which ones the girl's room?" She heard someone whisper. "This one." Another whispered. The door across from Cansas's opened and the sound of gunfire was heard followed by screams. Cansas opened her door a bit to see her mother and father fighting off two black-eyed rotting faced men in the dark.
Her mother was thrown to the floor next to her door. She looked up at her daughter. "Salt your door!" She shouted before being picked up by one of the black-eyed men. Cansas closed her door and ran over to her desk. She grabbed the bag of heavy salt from under it and dragged it over to her door. Quickly she took handfuls of the slat and started to lay them down, but before she could finish something crashed through her window. She let out a scream which turned the lights on.
"Hello, little girl." The black-eyed women said brushing off the glass from her shoulder. Her face was rotting just like the men in the hallway. Cansas backed up until her back hit the door. She grabbed a handful of salt but before she could throw it at the women the salt was thrown out of her hand and onto the floor.
Cansas looked from the salt to the black-eyed women. She went to grab Cansas by the arm but before she could she stopped when the sound of the two other demons screaming was heard. Cansas looked to the door and backed away a little. The black-eyed women shrugged and grabbed Cansas's arm only to be thrown against the opposite wall.
"I wouldn't do that if I were you." Cansas turned to see a man standing there. He had shiny blonde hair and green eyes. "Lucky I'm not you." The women said. The man frowned pulling the women off the wall and over to him. He placed a hand on her forehead and fire came out of the women's eyes as she screamed. The fire stopped and the women fell to the ground dead. Where her eyes used to be were two black charred holes.
Cansas looked back up at the man in horror. He looked down to her. "Cansas, right?" He asked. She nodded. Her door was opened quickly and in ran Cansas, family. Her mother ran over to her and picked her up, holding Cansas close.
Lucas held a shotgun to the man as Scout and Honor ran over to their mother who placed them behind herself. "What are you?" He asked. "I'm an Angel of the Lord, well, Archangel to be exact." Lucas and Isabella's mouths hung open.
"An A-Angel?" Isabella asked placing Cansas down on her feet. He nodded. "What's your name?" She asked walking up to her husband. "Don't angels have wings?" Honor asked crossing her arms over her chest.
The archangel looked down at her and then back up to Lucas and Isabella. "Not here. There are more demons on their way." He said. Cansas walked out from behind her father. "D-demons?" She asked. The angel looked down at her and he felt a pining in his heart.

"Y-yes...demons..." He said. Both Isabella and Lucas narrowed their eyes at the angel. He shook his head and looked back up at them clearing his throat. "I need to move you guys." He said. "How? They will catch us." Lucas said making the angel shack his head.
"No, they wouldn't." He picked up Cansas who clung to his shirt. "Okay hold on to Scout and Honor."
"How do you know my-"
"I know lots of things." He said as Lucas picked Scout up and Isabella picked up Honor. The sound of demons coming into the house was heard from downstairs making Cansas whipper and pull herself closer to the angel. The angel places both his index finger and middle finger on the two parents forehead and in the sound of flapping wings, they were gone.
The door to Cansas room was then slammed opened and in walked two different demons. When they found no one their eyes turned back to brown and blue. "Boss is going to kill us." One said.
"And why would I do that?"
They both turned around to be faced with a woman. She had brown eyes and dark brown shoulder length hair. "Um...well...The girl...she's...gone." One of the demons said. The women clenched her fists. "What?!" She shouted, eyes turning red with black edges.
The two demons took a step back. "The group we sent in fist was killed and by the time we got here...the girl and her family were gone." The other demon said. "I don't have all the time in the world! Azazel gave me a second case to get this child and if I fail I will be thrown back in hell! GO! Find her!" She shouted. "Yes, Quinn...Ma'ma!" The one demon said as they both walked out of the room leaving her.
The sound of flapping wings was heard in a small motel room and the angel appeared in the room with the Walker family. The two parents stumbled backward as they regained their footing. They placed their daughters down on the ground and they held onto their parent's hands. "How did you do that?" Scout asked.
"Well, I'm an angel. I have wings, so I flew here."
"What do they look like?" The angel looked at Cansas who he still held. "Maybe I'll show you sometime." Cansas smiled widely at this. "Wait, wait, wait. Before we continue on I need to know why you decided to save us? What are we to you, an archangel of the lord?" Lucas asked.
The angel looked at the man and then to Cansas. "As you may know, Cansas here as special powers. Powers that other angels want to kill and demons what to use." He said looking back to Lucas. "I just happened to be flying overhead when I caught a whiff of her power and demons. So I came to check it out and I was nice enough to save you."
"Alright. Well, thank you." Isabella said with a slight smile. "Now you have to stay here until I can find somewhere for you to live. It wouldn't take too long. Maybe one to two days." He said placing Cansas down. Before he could leave Cansas took hold of his hand. "You're coming back right?" The angel nodded as he squeezed her hand lightly.
"And I'll bring candy." He said with a smile before letting go of her hand and in the sound of flapping wings, he was gone.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Things had been going well with the Walkers. The demons hadn't found them yet in their new home and they had the best protection anyone could ask for. Cansas now at the age of nine found herself outside in the woods that was near her house. No shoes or socks.
"You could step on a rock you know." Cansas turned around to see her angel standing there. She smiles widely and attacks him in a hug which he gives back. "Agnel!"
"Candy Cane! Do your parents know you're out here?" He asked pulling away. Cansas sighed and shook her head.
"No. They're on a hunting trip with Mr. Winchester." She said walking over to a nearby tree and then turning back to him. "My parents told him that his sons could come and stay with us. Us! I mean. I know Scouts eighteen and all but still. They eat everything." Her angel chuckled. "It's not funny." She said with a slight chuckle.
"I thought you said they were like your brothers?"
"Well I mean yeah, but they don't' have to eat my candy." She crossed her arms over her chest. Her angel shook his head slightly. "So...what have you been up too?" She knew he hated to talk about what he did when he wasn't with her but she found it very interesting. Her angel sighed.
"Please! I know you hate talking about it but I love hearing you talk about it." She said walking over to him and hanging onto his arm. "Please." She continued. "
Fine." Cansas smiled and let go of his arm.
"Well, like I've told you before. There is a group of angels that don't like me very much. They think I will 'mess things up' for the universe." Cansas nodded. "But you know that's not true right?" Her Angel smiled. "Thank you."
"Okay continue."
"Well, I've been trying to get them off my trail. I don't want to fight anymore. I mean, their my brothers and sisters." Cansas nodded.
"Oh, that reminds me of something." He said reaching his hand into his back pocket and pulling out a tiny red box. He handed it to her. "I made it for you."
Cansas looked up at him and then back to the box. She opened it to find a silver cross necklace with a single diamond in the center. Her mouth hung open. "Angel. Thank you. I love it." She said taking it out of the box and putting it on.
After Cansas put the necklace on she gave him a hug. They pulled away and her angel knelt down to her level. "Um...but that's not what I came here to do." Cansas titled her head slightly in confusion. "What do you mean?"
"Well...I told you what I have been doing because...the group of angels I talked about, well they are really close to finding you. And I'm not helping out by coming and seeing you."
"What do you mean? I don't understand." Her angel sighed.
"I-I can't come and see you anymore. But that doesn't mean we might not see each other when you're older." Cansas's eyes widened as tears came to her eyes.
"W-what? Angel, please. I need you. You can't leave me. Please. We can move again. Then it can all go back to normal." Cansas said as tears fell from her cheek. Her angel took hold of her hand and pulled her into one last hug. "I'm so, so sorry Cansas. But I promise you, we will meet again." And in the sound of flapping wings, he was gone.
But he never was gone, gone. He would watch over her. Make sure she was never in too much danger. But when her mother and father were killed by the demon Quinn who had finally found Cansas after six years of looking for her, he didn't do a thing to stop it. He was too scared. For his own selfish reasons. So she hurt. Inside and outside. She lost everything. Her sisters left. Leaving her in the care of the Winchesters. Her mother and father killed. And her angel. The one she yearned for the most.
Gone.
The Book of Rune
If you like moderately well-researched semi-medieval military logistics with some fantasy twists, and also conspiracy, and exploration, and violence, and maybe a dash of road movie, hey, Ruen just might be your thing. Plot-wise, basically there's a guy who got fired by Death, a kid with pyrotechnic tendencies, and a slave general who wouldn't mind retiring but ended up on a mass suicide mission. If you were looking for a less TL;DR version, a guy who got fired by Death meets a kid with pyrotechnic tendencies, and they try to get the guy un-fired while also trying to come to terms with death together (ooohhhh, look, I'm deep). Meanwhile a slave general does something stupid and ends up being sent on a suicide mission, and he tries to wreak havoc and save lives at the same time. The threads come together, I swear. This is a rough draft of a fantasy semi-book that I've had in the back of my head for some time. I've written a variety of short stories set in the world over the past three years, and I finally kicked myself into writing the actual story. Very much a slow work in progress. Occasional violence (okay, well, maybe more than occasional), occasional foul language.
Unwitting Champion
"In stories this is always easy. There's magic and powers, and quick steps to claiming that power for one's self. This doesn't feel true for me. I'm supposed to be a Champion, whatever that means, and yet I don't feel important. I don't have all the bells and whistles, which honestly feels familiar even in a new world. But what was I expecting? I haven't had the worst life - there are people with worse problems than mine - I've known what it is to struggle, to be pulled down instead of being helped up.This is nothing new."When in great peril, the Kingdom of Althor has no choice but to send a call into the void, beseeching the Fates to bring them a man who would save them from the coming darkness. Unfortunately the path the Fates chart is often unknowable to men and the Champion who appears is not what the kingdom expected.Unwitting Champion is a story of a guy displaced, dealing first and foremost with trying to survive in a world where he is no longer a person but a tool, and - at least from the reaction of those around him - a shoddy one at that. His major goal is to survive long enough that either he can run or find a way home, because as exciting as the possibility of learning magic might be, he would rather have a boring life than a short life.
