(Season 5 x 23)
"On April 21st, 1967, the 100 millionth GM vehicle rolled off at the plant in Janesville. A blue two-door Caprice. There was a big ceremony, speeches. The lieutenant governor even showed up. Three days later, another car rolled off that same line. No one gave two craps about her. But they should have. Because this 1967 Chevrolet Impala would turn out to be the most important car, in-fact the most important object in pretty much the whole universe. "
"She was first owned by Sal Moriarty...an alcoholic with two ex-wives and three blocked arteries. On weekends, he'd drive around, giving Bibles to the poor. 'Getting folks right for Judgement Day' that's what he said. Sam and Dean don't know any of this. But if they did, I bet they'd smile. After Sal died, she ended up at Rainbow Motors a used-car lot in Lawrence, where a young Marine bought her on impulse. That is, after a little advice from a friend. I guess that's where this story begins. And here is where it ends."
Dean sees Sam leaning on the hood of the Impala, drinking a beer, as he walks over opening the cooler and taking a beer out.
"I'm in" Dean then says as he opens his beer.
"In with--?" Sam asks.
"The whole up-with-Satan thing. I'm onboard" Dean tells his brother.
"You're gonna let me say yes?" Sam asks.
"No, that's the thing. It's not on me to let you do anything. You're a grown—overgrown man. If this is what you want. I'll back your play" Dean says to him.
"That's the last thing I thought you'd ever say" Sam says.
"Might be. I'm not gonna lie to you, though. It goes against every fiber I got" Dean says, "I mean, the truth is...you know, watching out for you....it's kind of been my job, you know? But more than that...it's kind of who I am. But you're not a kid anymore, Sam. I can't keep treating you like one. Maybe I gotta grow up a little too. I don't know if we got a snowball's chance. But...I don know that if anybody can do it, it's you" Dean tells him.
"Thank You" Sam says to his brother.
"If this is what you want...Is this really what you want?" Dean then asks.
Sam takes a breath, "I let him out. I gotta put him back in" Sam says to him.
"Okay. That's it then" Dean says to Sam as they both take a drink from their beer.
Standing in the warehouse, they watch the demons dripping blood, as Castiel finishes closing the jugs. Sam, Calliope, Dean and Castiel leave the building as Sam and Castiel put the jugs in the back of the Impala. Dean and Calliope walk over toward Bobby, "I still can't get used to you at eye level" Dean says to Bobby.
"So was I right?" Bobby asks.
"Yeah, as always Yoda. We got two stunt demons inside, just like you said" Dean tells him.
"Yeah, all the go juice Sammy can drink" Dean says looking over at Sam.
"You okay?" Bobby asks.
"Not really, What do you got?" Dean asks.
"Not much, these look like omens to you two?" Bobby asks showing them some newspaper articles, "Cyclone in Florida, temperature drop in Detroit, wildfires in L.A." he explains.

"What about Detroit?" Dean asks.
"Temp's dropped about 20 degrees, but only in a five-block radius of downtown Motown." Bobby tells him.
"That's the one" Dean says tossing the paper back in the pile, "Devils in Detroit" he tells them.
"Really?" Calliope asks.
"As far as foreboding goes, it's a little light in the loafers. You sure?" Bobby asks.
"Yeah, I'm sure" Dean tells him, as he looks at Sam. They then all pack up and hit the road heading for Detroit.
Calliope sits in the back of the Impala, with Castiel who was now snoring, fast asleep, "Oh, ain't he a little angel" Dean comments.
"Dean, angels don't sleep" Calliope says to him.
"Callie, Sam I got a bad feeling about this" Dean then says.
"You'd be nuts to have a good feeling" Sam says to him.
"You know what I mean, Detroit. He'd always said he'd jump your bones in Detroit. Here we are" Dean says.
"Here we are" Sam says.
"Maybe this is him rolling out the red carpet. Maybe he knows something we don't" Dean suggests.
"Dean, I'm sure he knows a buttload we don't. But you gotta hope he doesn't know about the rings" Sam says to him and they don't say a word. "Hey, um on the subject there's something I gotta talk to you two about" Sam then says.
"What?" Dean asks.
"This thing goes our way....and I'm triple lindy into the box....you know I'm not coming back." Sam says looking at Dean.
"Yeah I know" Sam says.
"So you two gotta promise me something" Sam then says.
"Okay, yeah, anything" Dean says.
"Yeah" Calliope says.
"You two gotta promise not to try and bring me back" Sam says.
"What? No I didn't sign up for that" Dean then says.
"Dean" Sam protests.
"Your hell will make my tour look like Graceland. You want me just to sit by, do nothing?" Dean then says.
"Dean, once the cage is closed, we can't try poking it open, it will be too risky" Calliope says to him.
"No, no, as if I'm just gonna let him rot in there" Dean says to her.
"Yeah, you are, you don't have a choice" Sam says.
"You can't ask me to do this" Dean tells him.
"I'm sorry, Dean. You have to." Sam says.
Dean looks at him, "So then what am I supposed to do?" he asks Sam.
"You two go live a normal life. You get a house, have barbecues, make some friends. Possibly get married, have kids. You two go live some normal apple-pie life, Dean. Promise me" Sam says. Dean looks in the rearview mirror at Calliope who was trying to not cry, as he then looks at his brother not saying a word.
Once in Detroit, they park in an alleyway, as Bobby goes to scope out a building, they then see him walking back to them, "Demons, at least two dozen of them. You were right somethings up" he says to Dean.
"More than something. He's here, I know it" Dean then says as he goes to the trunk of the Impala.
Sam looks over at Bobby who looks down, then walks over to him, "I'll see you around, kid" Bobby says to him.
"See you around" Sam says back as they then hug.
"If he gets in.." Bobby says when they pull apart, "You fight him tooth and nail. Do you understand?" Sam nods, "Keep swinging. Don't give an inch" Bobby says.

"Yes, sir' Sam says to him, as Bobby walks away.
Sam then turns to look at Castiel, "You take care of these guys, okay" he says to him.
"That's not possible" Castiel tells him.
"Then humor me" Sam tells him.
"Oh, I'm supposed to lie" Castiel says, "Uh, sure, they'll be fine" he attempts to lie.
"Just stop talking" he says to Castiel, as he then turns toward Calliope.
She looks at him tears already rolling down her cheeks, as he then wraps his arms around her holding her. "Keep him safe okay" he tells her, and she just shakes her head at him. He lets her go, as she wipes her tears away, and he then walks toward Dean. He walks up to the trunk of the Impala, looking in at the jugs of demon blood, "You mind not watching this?" he asks him. Dean then walks away joining Calliopes side, as Sam goes to drink the blood.
"I want you to stay here with Bobby and Cass" Dean tells her.
"No" she says to him.
"If anything happens to you in there I will never forgive myself" he says to her.
"Then don't let anything happen to me" she says to him as they hear the trunk slam shut.
"Let's go" Sam says walking past them.
"All right" Sam shouts putting his hands up, "We're here, you sons of bitches. Come and get it" he shouts as the door opens and two demons walk out.
"Hey guys, is your father home" Dean says to them, and they are then forciably brought inside. They are brough upstairs to Lucifer who is staring out a window.
"Hey, guys, it's so nice of you to drop in, and you brought my lovely niece" he says to them.
"The Impala, of course has all the things other cars have. And a few things they don't. But none of that stuff's important. This is the stuff that's important. The army man that Sam crammed in the ashtray, it's still stuck there."
"The Legos Dean shoved into the vents. To this day, heat comes on, they can hear them rattle. These are the things that make the car theirs. Really theirs. Even when Dean rebuilt it from the ground up, he made sure all these little things stayed. Because it's the blemishes that make her beautiful. The Devil doesn't know or care what kind of car the boys drive."
Lucifer breathes on the window, making it frost up, "Sorry it's a bit chilly, most people think I burn hot. It's actually quite the opposite" he says as he draws a pitchfork in the frost.
"Well, I'll alert the media" Dean sarcastically remarks.
Lucifer then turns around to look at them, "Help me understand something, guys, and niece. I mean stomping through my front door is a tad suicidal, don't you think? You honestly think I won't hurt you because she's family" he adds looking at Calliope.
"We're not here to fight you." Sam tells him.
"No?" he says to him. "Then why are you?" he asks.
"I wanna say yes" Sam tells him.
"Excuse me?" Lucifer asks.
Sam closes his eyes as the demons behind the three of them all drop dead, Dean and Calliope both look at Sam, a little bit scared at what he just did.
"Chock-full of Ovaltine, are we?" Lucifer says to Sam.
"You heard me, yes" Sam says to him.
"You're serious" Lucifer says to him.
"Look, Judgement Day's a runaway train. We get it now. We just want off" Sam says to him,
"Meaning"?" he asks Sam.
"Deal of the century. I give you a free ride, but when it's all over....I live, he lives, she lives, you bring our parents back" Sam says.
"Okay, can we please stop the telenovela?" Lucifer says. "I know you have the rings, Sam" he then says.
"I have no idea what you're talking about" Sam lies.
"The horsemen's rings? The magic keys to my cage?" he steps closer to them, "ring a bell?" he says to him, and Dean and Calliope start to have panic rise in their bodies. "Come on, Sam, I've never lied to you. You could at least pay me the same respect" Lucifer says as he walks in between the three of them, and they turn to look at him, "It's okay, I'm not mad. A wrestling match inside your noggin. I like the idea, Just you and me, one round, no tricks. You win, you jump in the hole. I win...well than I win. What do you say, Sam? A fiddle of gold against your soul says I'm better than you" Lucifer says to Sam.
Dean looks at his brother who is thinking this over, "So he knows, doesn't change anything" Sam says.
"Sam" Dean says.
"We don't have any other choice" Sam says.
"Sam, no" Calliope says to him.
Sam looks at Lucifer, "yes" he says. Lucifer closes his eyes, and there is a blinding bright light. The light disappears, and Calliope and Dean look to see that Lucifer's vessel is gone, and Sam is passed out. Dean then takes the rings out of his pocket, tossing them near a wall he speaks the incantation to open the cage. A hole opens up in the wall, and they can feel the pull from it, as Dean looks over at Sam who was coming too.
"Sammy!" he shouts as he goes to Sam, and starts helping him get up.
"Dean! Calliope!" Sam cries out.
"Sammy!" Dean and Calliope call out to him.
"Oh, I can feel him, oh God!" Sam cries out trying to fight the devil inside his head.
"You gotta go now" Dean says as he gets Sam up, "Come on" he says as they look at the cage opening, "Go now Sammy!" Dean shouts.
"Now!" Calliope screams, and Sam starts to walk toward the hole.
He stops, and then turns around to look at them, and that's when Calliope knows it's not Sam anymore, "I was just messing with you. Sammy's long gone" he says to them, as turns and speaks the spell to close the cage hole. He then picks up the rings and looks at them, then at Dean and Calliope. "I told you...this would always happen in Detroit" he says looking at Dean, as he then disappears. Dean then looks around distraught, at what just happened how things just didn't go their way.
