(Season 5 x 21)
Calliope sits on the couch in Bobby's den looking over any signs of the horsemen, when she hears Sam and Dean arguing, "Did you two know about this?" Dan asks looking at her and Bobby.
"Know about what?" Calliope asks looking up from her laptop.
"About Sam's genius plan to say yes to the devil" he asks her. Calliope looks at Bobby, and they both don't say a word, "Well thanks for the heads up" Dean shouts at them.
"Hey, this ain't about her or me" Bobby says to him.
"You can't do this" Dean says looking back at his brother.
"That's the consensus" Sam says to him.
"All right awesome, then end of discussion" Dean says as his phone starts ringing. "This isn't over" he points at his brother as he answers the phone. "Hello....Cass?" Dean says and they look at him surpised.
"Is he okay?" Sam asks and Dean puts his hand up to quiet him.
"We all thought you were dead. Where the hell are you man?" Dean asks him. "Are you okay?....You want to elaborate?" he then says. "So a hospital..Uh, well, I gotta tell you, man, you're just in time. We figured out a way to pop Satan's box...It's a long story, but look, we're going after Pestilence now. So if you wanna zap over here..What do you mean? What, you're out of angel mojo?...Human, wow, sorry. All right, look no worries, we can have Calliope come get you...okay then Bobby's here, he can wire you the cash"
"I will?" Bobby asks.
"Cass..it's okay, Thank You, I appreciate that" Dean goes to say something else but then just hangs up his phone.
"Well, where is he?" Calliope asks him.
"A hospital, he doesn't want to risk you going to get him though. Says your needed here more" Dean tells her.
"Great...just great" she sighs.
Later, the boys and Calliope all pile into the Impala, "Good luck" Bobby tells them as they drive away off toward where Pestilence was suppose to be. It was nighttime as Dean parked the Impala in a hidden position as they watch a retirement home from a distance.
"This is Dr. Evil's liar, huh?" Dean asks lowering his binoculars.
"It's kind of more depressing than evil" Sam says as he lowers his binoclulars.
"It's like a four-color brochure for dying young. Of course, to Pestilence, it's probably Dollywood in there" Dean says as he goes to look again.
"Just peachy, a whole building full of people that we have no idea if they are demons, humans and not to mention no idea what Pestilence looks like. So any ideas boys?" Calliope asks them.
"Hang on" Dean then says as he looks around.
The three of them sneak inside the building heading for the security room, Dean opens the door, "Hey, hi, uh, I'm looking for my nana, Uh, her name is Eunice Kennedy" he says to the security guy inside.
"Go around front and see the nurse" he tells him.
"You mind just helping me out sir" Dean says closing the door, "Uh she's about that small and gray hair, wears diapers" he says to the man as Calliope appears behind him, knocking him on the head.
"He's out" she tells Dean as she kicks the man, and Dean knocks on the door, letting Sam know to come inside.
Sam opens the door and making sure no one sees him he closes it before looking at Calliope and Dean, who was dragging the security guard to the corner of the room. "Eunice Kennedy?" he asks him.

"That's the beauty about improv, Sammy. You never know what's gonna come out of your mouth" he tells him as they go to sit down infront of the security cameras. As they sit there, Sam stares at the screens, "So,what are-" he starts to say as he then sees Calliope leaning against Dean as the two were falling asleep, "hey" he says and they jolt awake.
"What are we supposed to be looking for?" Sam asks them.
"Well, he's Pestilence so he probably looks sick" Dean tells him.
"Everybody looks sick" Sam replies.
"Let's keep looking then" Calliope sighs. They resume watching the screens as Dean paces around the room. As they watch one of the screens Calliope notices a man coming out of a room, causing the screen to flicker and form a line across it.
"Hey" she points to the screen, and Dean comes over seeing what she had pointed out. The three of them watch the monitors seeing where the man was going.
"Oh, now we're talking" Dean says as they wait to see which room he goes to.
"Let's go" Calliope says to the boys once they see which room he is in.
"Not you" Dean says to her.
"What, why?" she asks him.
"Because we need you as back up" he tells her.
"Dean, I am not letting you go after a horseman that can make you sick in an instant, without me" she tells him.
"Fine, fine" he tells her as they get their weapons ready the three of them leave the security room and make there way through the building. As they turn the corner to go down a hall, Dean and Sam start to stumble around, and Calliope can start feeling something but not as much as the brothers.
"Must be getting close" Sam says to them .
"You think"Dean replies as the continue to try and fight what was happening to them. Calliope sees two people dead on the ground ahead of them, as Dean leans against a cart.
"Dean" Callie says as she gets to him, and tries to help him move on, when he stumbles in her arms, knocking her down. Sam stumbles over them as he looks at the door they were trying to get to,as he goes to open the door it opens from the other side. A woman stands there, "The doctor will see you now" she says as she steps away.
"Sam" the man on the bed says, as Calliope stumbles over to Sam. "Calliope, Dean" he says as Sam then collapses and Calliope catches him. "Come right on in" Pestilence says. The woman that was with Pestilence drags Dean into the room.
"Get...get your..your hands off...off him" Calliope says coughing between her words.
"MM, you boys don't look well, and neither are you" Pestilence says looking at Calliope and the boys, "Maybe uh the scarlet fever, or the meningitis, or, ha, or the syphilis. That's no fun" Pestilience says as he steps toward Sam, grabbing his hair and lifting his head. "However you feel right now, it's gonna get so very, very much worse. Questions?" he says as he lets Sam's head go and steps away. "Disease gets a bad rap, don't you think? For being filthy, chaotic. But really, that just describes the people who get sick. Disease itself, very pure. Single minded" He says as Dean starts trying to reach for the demon killing knife. "Bacteria have one purpose: divide and conquer" Pestilence says as he steps on Dean's hand, "That's why in the end...it always wins" he says as he kicks the knife away. "So you gotta wonder why God pours all his love...into something so messy....and weak!" the horseman shouts. "It's ridiculous. And all I can do is show him he's wrong, one epidemic at a time" he says as he puts his glasses on. "Now, one a scale of one to 10, how's your pain?" he asks the three of them as the door bursts open.

Looking they see Castiel standing there, "Cass?" Dean says.
"How'd you get here?" Pestilence asks taking his glasses back off.
"I took a bus" Castiel says, "Don't worry, I-" he points to the three on the ground as what Pestilence had done to them starts to take affect on him.
"Well, look at that, an occupied vessel, but powerless. That's fasicinating, there's not a speck of angel in you, is there?" the horseman says to Castiel.
Castiel looks at Calliope and she sees the knife right by her hand and she nods at him, as she slides it to Castiel. He takes the knife and lunges at Pestilence and grabs his hand cutting his fingers, "Maybe just a speck" Castiel says as the demon woman attacks him. He manages to stab her, killing her in an instant. As the boys and Calliope recover from what Pestilence did to them, Dean helps Calliope get up as he goes and pucks up the finger with the ring on it.
"It doesn't matter, it's too late" Pestilence says to them as he then disappears.
They sit in Bobby's as Dean tosses the ring on the table and it spins, "Well, it's nice to actually score a home run for once, ain't it" Bobby says to them, as Dean just flicks the ring again. Calliope leans her head against his shoulder as Sam just looks down.
"What?" Bobby asks them.
"Last thing Pestilence said, 'It's too late'" Sam tells him.
"He get specific?" Bobby asks.
Sam shakes his head, "no" he says.
"We're just freaked out that he might have left a bomb somewhere. So please tell us you have actual good news" Dean says to him.
"Chicago's about to be wiped off the map. Storm of the millennium. Sets off a daisy chain of natural disasters. Three million people are gonna die" he tells them.
"Huh" Dean says.
"I don't understand your definition of good news" Castiel says to Bobby.
"Well...Death, the horseman...he's gonna be there. And if we can stop him before he kick starts this storm....get his ring back" Bobby says.
"Yeah, you make it sound so easy" Dean says.
"Hell, I'm just trying to put a spin on it" Bobby says to him.
"Bobby, how were you even able to put this all together?" Calliope asks him.
"I had, you know, help" he says to her, as they then hear a noise behind them and look to see Crowley pouring himself a drink.
"Don't be so modest. I barely helped at all" Crowley says, "Hello boys, chipmunk, pleasure, et cetra" he says as he then smells the drink and puts the glass down. "Go ahead, tell them, there's no shame in it" Crowley says looking at Bobby.
"Bobby" Sam says as the three of them look at him, "Tell us what?" he asks.
"World's gonna end. Seems stupid to get all precious over one little soul" Bobby says.
"You did what?" Calliope says.
"You sold your soul?" Dean asks.
"More like pawned it. I fully intend to give it back" Crowley says.
"Then give it back" Dean says to him.
"I will" Crowley says.
"Now!" Dean shouts.
"Did you kiss him?" Sam then asks.
"Sam?" Calliope says to him.
"Just wondering" he says to her as they look at Bobby.
"No" he denies to them as Crowley clears his throat and they look to see that he as picture proof. "Why'd you take a picture?" Bobby asks.
"Why'd you have to use tongue?" Crowley says and Sam, Dean and Calliope all look at Bobby in surprise.
"All right, you know what? I'm sick of this. Give him his soul back now" Dean says standing up and going toward Crowley.
"I'm sorry, I can't" the demon says.
"Can't or won't?" Dean asks.
"I won't all right? It's insurance" he tells Dean.
"What are you talking about?" Dean asks.
"You kill demons. Gigantor over there has a temper issue about it. But you won't kill me... as long as I have that soul in the deposit box" he says pointing at Bobby.
"You son of a bitch" Bobby says to him.
"I'll return it. After all this is over and I can walk safely away. Do we all understand each other" Crowley says.
Dean and Sam head outside to get the impala ready, as Calliope gets stuff put together in Bobby's van. She see's Castiel standing nearby, "Hey Cass, umm I wanted to ask you something" Calliope says to him. "When Gabriel umm, when I guess my father died, he gave the boys the info about the cage but he also gave me this" she says as she takes the vial out to show him., "what is it?" she asks him.
"Grace" he then says, "it must be the rest of your angel grace, the part that he kept from your body, to keep you more human than angel" he tells her.
"So this is angel grace, what am I supposed to do with it" she says to him.
"You can take it, and be fully nephliam, it may help with the upcoming battle against the Devil" he says to her.
She just stares at it, as Dean then comes over to them, "Hey, umm I think we know what Pestilence had planned, to get a so called 'vaccine' for the swine flu he created but it really will be the coratoan virus" he tells them.
"Great, just great" Calliope says to him.
"Go, gear up with Bobby, you two and Sam are going to go stop that, while I go take care of Death" Dean says.
"No" Calliope then says, "Umm Cass, can you give us a moment" Calliope says to the angel, and he just nods at them.
"You can not go after Death alone Dean" Calliope says to him.
"I will, and I am not risking you being there" he tells her.
"Cass, told me what this is" she says showing him the vial, "angel grace, apparently the grace that Gabriel took from me" she explains.
"Oh...oh" he says to her looking at it.
"Yeah, and Castiel told me if I take this I will fully become half angel, half human" she tells him.
"Are you going to.."he points at it, "take it" he asks her.
"I really don't know, I mean doing it might help us fight the devil, but I don't know how it will change me. Dean I don't want to become a different person" she says to him.
"You will still be the same Calliope that I have fallen in love with" he says as he pushes a strand of hair behind her ear.
"Really Dean Winchester admitting to loving a woman" she smiles at him.
"Yeah, something that we never thought we would hear me saying" he says to her, "whatever you decide to do Calliope that is your decision" he tells her.
"I will think about it, but for now" she then kisses him hard, and he kisses her back, when they pull apart she leans her head against his. The two of them stand there, wanting to just shut out everything around them, not wanting to believe that they are about to take down Death, and then the Devil himself.
"If we make it out of this alive, I want us, I want us to try and make this work, try and have a have a normal life" Dean then says to her.
"Dean, we're hunters I don't think we will ever have normal she tells him.
"It doesn't hurt to imagine right" he smiles at her.
"I guess it doesn't" she smiles back at him.
"Hey if you two lovebirds are done, we've got some vehicles that need packing" they then hear Bobby say, and they just look at him, "idjits" they hear him say as he rolls way.

Epoch: An NPC's Tale
Epoch is a slow-burn LitRPG/Gamelit novel that tells the story of Luke, later named Lucius—a natural inhabitant of the game-like realm of Elyssia where thousands upon thousands of detached, virtually unkillable entities known as the Players were suddenly introduced right after the dusk of the magnificent Age of Heroes. Shortly after the Players arrived, the balance of power in Elyssia instantly shifted. Kingdoms fell, wars were waged, alliances between races were made, and Lucius, after ten years of training in captivity, found himself being used as a pawn in a prophecy that he had no intention to fulfill. With aspirations and desires of his own, Lucius must find a way to cautiously adapt to the drastic changes in the very foundations of the realm after being sent 300 years into a future that was forever altered by the outcome of the war that his captors had lost and the Players won in a victory that resounded throughout the ages, all for a terrible price. Author's Note As an avid fan of the LitRPG genre myself, I wrote this novel with character progression, heavy Gamelit elements, and some degree of world-building in mind. If you like these, please feel free to give this novel a try. Oh, and the MC is also an NPC, in a sense. And wait, isn't this also an isekai story? Well, it's all a bit complicated to explain here. Maybe you should start reading now?
