(Season 5 x 20)
Calliope, Sam and Dean had been following ever lead possible on the horsemen Pestilence, they had stopped several times, but the horseman had always been one step ahead. They currently stopped at another town, and entered the hospital in their suits to ask about the flu cases that had spiked in the town. "Hey, check it out. I look like the King of Pop" Dean says to Calliope and Sam who look at him unimpressed. "Too soon? Too soon" he then says.
"Don't get me wrong, I'm glad the CDC is here. But what we really need is vaccine" the doctor that had been leading them through the hospital says to them.
"Well you got that right" Dean remarks as he looks around at all the sick people.
"Tell me, have you noticed anything unusual about the strain. Uh, any signs of behavioral change? Like aggression, maybe?" Sam then asks.
"Excuse me?" the doctor asks.
"Have the flu victims shown any signs of, uh, homicidal tendencies?" Dean then asks.
"Umm, symptomatically speaking...we're looking at a relatively mind case of swine flue here. Probably a miserable week off of work, that's about I" she tells them.
"So nothing unusual" Dean says.
"Well, day and a half ago, we didn't have a single case, now we're looking at over 70. Infectious equivalent of a briefcase bomb. So yeah, I might call that a little unusual" she tells Dean .
"A day and a half" Calliope says looking at Dean and Sam.
"Same time statues started crying" Dean says to her.
"Yep" Sam says.
"I'm sorry, what was that?" the doctor says.
"What was what?" Dean says to her.
"Did you just say a bunch of statues started crying?" the doctor asks him.
"What, no we didn't say that, who would.. only crazy people would say that" Calliope says to her.
"Exactly" Sam quickly says.
"Which we are not" Dean then says.
"No" Sam then says.
"Just get us some vaccine" she says looking at them all confused.
They hit the road once again, getting Bobby on the phone, and put him on speaker, "Let me guess. Another steaming-hot pile of swine flu" he says to them.
"Yep" Dean says to him.
"Doesn't make any sense, Bobby. Pestilence touched down here, I'm sure of it" Sam then says.
"What I don't get is why would he be dealing up the swine flu when he could be using the Croatoan virus?" Calliope asks.
"Doesn't matter what the sick son of a bitch is doing. What matters is this is the fourth town he's hit that we know of. And we're still eating his dust. Did you get anything? We got even a snowball at probable next target" Bobby asks them.
"Uh, no patter we can see" Sam says.
"Okay, hold on" Bobby says as they hear him wheeling around. "Well, as far as I can tell he's still heading east. So head east, I guess" Bobby tells them.
"East?" the three of them all say together.
"Bobby, we're in West Nevada. East is practically all there is" Dean tells him.
"Yeah? Well, you better get to driving" Bobby say as Sam then hangs up the phone.
"Say, I've got an idea" a voice beside Calliope says as she sees a man she has never met before appear beside her. Dean then skids the car to a stop, as Sam reaches around with demon knife and goes to stab the man but he disappears.
"Did you get him?" Dean asks when the car comes to a stop.

"He's gone" Sam says to him.
Just then there is a knock on the car window, "Fancy a fag and a chat?" the man says.
The three of them get out of the car, anger going across the boys faces, "You're upset. We should discuss it. Not here, but-" the man says as he backs away from Sam.
"You wanna talk? After what you did to us" Sam says to him.
"After what I did to you? I gave you the Colt" he says to Sam, and Calliope realizes that this must be the demon Crowley.
"Yeah, and you knew it wouldn't work against the Devil" Sam shouts at him.
"I never" Crowley says to him.
"You set us up. We lost people on that suicide run. Good people" Sam says to him.
"Who you take on the ride is your own business" Crowley says to him, "Look, everything is still the same. We're all still in this together" he says looking at Sam and Dean.
"Sure , we are" Sam says as he goes to attack Crowley, and he disappears, reappearing behind Sam.
"Call your dog off, please" Crowley says.
Dean grabs Sam, pulling him back, "Give me one good reason" he says to Crowley.
"I can give you Pestilence" he says to them.
"What do you know about Pestilence?" Dean asks.
"I know how to get him. That's got your interest, doesn't it?" the demon says to Dean, and Dean thinks about this.
"Are you actually listening to this?" Sam asks his brother.
"Sam" Dean starts to say.
"Are you freaking nuts?" Sam shouts at him.
"Shut up for a second, Sam" Dean then says .
"Shut up , the both of you" Crowley then says.
"Hey, you don't get to tell them to shut up only I can" Calliope then says to him.
"You must be the half-angel girl I've heard about" Crowley then says to her.
"Yes I am so you know that I could probably just snap my fingers and kill you in an instant" she says to him.
"Not with out all your grace you can't" he says to her, "Look, I swear, I thought the Colt would work. It's an honest mistake. It's all part of the learning process. But nothing's changed. I still want the devil dead. Well, one thing's changed. Now the devil knows that I want him dead. Which makes me the most buggered son in all of creation" Crowley goes on to say.
"Holy crap, we don't care" Dean says to him.
"They burned down my house" Crowley says upset, "They ate my tailor! Two months under a rock like a bloody salamander! Every demon on hell and earth has got his eyes out for me. And yet here I am, last place I should be...in the road talking to Sam and Dean Winchester and their stupid half angel girlfriend under a frigging spotlight!" he shouts this as he then causes the spotlight to explode. The three of them just stand there staring at him, "So come with me, please" he then says. "You want the horsemen rings or not?" Crowley says this and Dean looks at him surprised, "Yes I know all about that, shall we?" he then asks.
Crowley takes the three of them to a very run down cabin in the middle of nowhere, "Here we are, my life on the lam" Crowley says as they enter the cabin, "How the might have fallen. Single-pane glass, used contraception in the fireplace" he says as he then creates a fire in the fireplace. "The water damage alone-"

"My heart's bleeding for you. Now, how do you know about the rings?" Dean asks him.
"Well, now, I've been keeping a close eye on you lot" he says to them.
"We got hex bags, we're hidden from demons" Sam tells him.
"All but one" Crowley tells them as he points to himself, "That night you broke into my house, our first date. My valet hid a tracking device in your car. A magical coin that easily trumps your little bags of bones. Allows me to hear things too. And, by, the things, I've heard" he lightly laughs, "So you wanna cram the devil back in the box, cunning scheme. I want in" he says to them.
"You told us you could get us Pestilence" Calliope then says to him.
"Well, now...I don't know where Pestilence is per se. But I do know the demon who does. He's what you might call the horsemen's stable boy. He handles their itineraries, their personal needs. He's who you want, believe me. He'll tell us where Sneezy's at" Crowley says to them.
"Well, how do we get him to spill? Rip out his toenails?" Dean asks.
"Uh, no. Nuts at his pay grade, don't crack. We bring him here. Then I sell him" Crowley says.
"Sell him?" Sam asks.
"Please, I've sold sin to saints for centuries. Think I can't close one little demon?" Crowley says.
"Okay then, so where is this demon of yours?" Calliope asks.
Later, the boys and Calliope were getting their things together to capture this demon, "Why are we even listening to him Dean?" Sam asks his brother. "This is totally insane" he adds.
"I don't disagree" Dean says as he finishes loading his gun.
They then hear Crowley clap, "One big happy family are we, then? Fantastic" Crowley says to them.
"You ready to go?" Dean asks.
"Yes, Yes I am. Sam, Calliope keep the home fires burning" he then says.
"What are you talking about?" Dean aks.
"Sam and Calliope aren't coming" Crowley says.
"Why the hell not?" Sam asks looking at him.
"She will give us away with her angel scent, and because I don't like you, I don't trust you, and, oh, yes, you keep trying to kill me" Crowley says to Sam.
"There's no damn way, this isn't gonna happen" Sam shouts at him anger in his voice.
"I'm not asking you, am I? Because you're not invited. I'm asking you? What's it gonna be?" he says looking at Dean. Sam looks at his brother, and Dean doesn't say a word, "Gentlemen, M'lady, enjoy your last few sunsets" Crowley says as he starts to walk away.
After a moment Dean calls out "Wait" and Crowley stops, "I'll go" Dean says and Sam looks at him. Dean grabs his bag and walks past Sam and Calliope, "What can I say? I believe the guy. And he's right Callie could give us away, Sam you need to stay here and protect her" he then says to Sam.
"Be safe, please for me" Calliope then says to Dean, as she kisses his cheek. Dean then walks out the door with Crowley. Sam and Calliope stand in the door way, watching as they speed off.
"Can you believe this?" Sam says shaking his head as he heads back into the cabin.
"Sam...Dean's just....Dean's just trying to find any way possible to save you" Calliope says as she follows him back inside.
"Seriously Calliope, going off with a demon" he says to her, and she gives him a hard look.
"A little judgey aren't we" she says to him.
"Don't look at me like that" he says to her.
"Well, didn't you go off once with a demon because you thought it was the right thing to do" she says as she starts looking around in her bag, "Ahh, here to pass the time" she says as she takes the bottle of whiskey out. Calliope opens the bottle taking a swig, as she passes it to Sam, and he takes a swig, and he sets the bottle down as he then takes his phone out.
"Who are you calling?" Calliope asks him as she sits down beside Sam.
"Bobby, maybe he can make sense of this" he says as he dials Bobby, and sets it on speaker.
"And then Dean just walks" Sam says telling Bobby what had happened as he takes the whiskey from Calliope and has another drink.
"Walks right out the door with Crowley" Calliope says.
"Look, Sam, Callie I got no love for demons. And yeah this whole thing is crazy, but...I don't know. After a year of chasing up zilch, maybe it's time to go crazy" Bobby says to them.
"Maybe" Sam replies, as he takes another swig of whiskey, "Hey, Bobby" he then says.
"Yeah" Bobby replies.
"Remember that time you were possessed?" Sam asks him, and Calliope gives him a quizzical look.
"Yeah, rings a bell" Bobby says to him.
"When Meg told you to kill Dean, you didn't. You took your body back" Sam says to him.
"Just long enough to shank myself, yeah" Bobby says as Sam gets up.
"Well how did you do it?" he asks Bobby, "I mean, how'd you take back the wheel?" Sam then asks.
"Sam, why are you asking Bobby this?" Calliope then says to him.
"Say we can open the cage, great, but then what? We just lead the devil to the edge and get him to jump in?" Sam says looking at her.
"You got me" Bobby says from the phone.
"What if you guys lead the devil to the edge and I jump in?" Sam then says.
"Sam, no" Calliope says.
"It would be just like when Bobby turned the knife on himself, one action, just one leap" Sam says.
"Are you idjits trying to kill me?" Bobby shouts anger in his voice.
"Bobby" Sam says.
"We just got done talking your brother off a ledge, now you're lining up to say yes" Bobby shouts.
"It's not like that. I'm not gonna do it, not unless we all agree. But I think we gotta look at our options" Sam says to him.
"This isn't an option, Sam" Bobby tells him.
"Why not?" Sam asks.
"You can't do it. What I did was a million to one. And that was some pissant demon I was brain wrestling. You're talking about taking back control from Satan himself" Bobby says to him.
"Yeah, Yeah I am" Sam says into the phone.
"Kid, it's called possession for a reason. You of all people ought to know" they hear Bobby tell them.
"Well, I'm strong enough" Sam tries to say.
"You ain't. He's gonna find every chink in your armor, Sam... and use it against you. Your fear, your grief, your anger. And let's face it, you're not exactly Mr. Anger-Management" Bobby says.
"He's got you there" Calliope comments.
"How exactly are you gonna control the devil when you can't control yourself" Bobby says to him. "Listen, Sam just please don't do anything stupid" he says.
"I will talk to him Bobby" Calliope says.
"I hope to god you can" Bobby says as he ends the call.
"He's right, Sam you jumping is a very stupid idea" she says as she takes the bottle of whiskey from him.
"It's the only idea I got" he says to her.
"We still don't know what this is" Calliope says as she takes the vial out from around her neck, "but if might be really important, and we can use it to fight the Devil" she says to him.
"Callie, this is my decision, I'm keeping my options open all right, but promise me something" he says to her.
"What Sam?" she asks him.
"If we end the devil, if I do have to jump go be happy with Dean, you and I both know you love him" he says to her.
"No, Sam I can't do that. Dean and I, we won't work, we aren't compatable" she tells him as she passes the bottle back to him.
"Trust me you two are completely made for one another" he says to her, as he takes a drink.
Just then Calliope can feel Dean calling out to her, and that he was in pain, "Sam...Sam it's Dean, he's...he's in trouble" she says to him.
"Go...go to him" Sam tells her.
"Are you sure, I mean Crowley said I could give them away" she says to Sam.
"Calliope if you can sense he's calling out to you and in trouble, go save him, please" Sam tells her. She then closes her eyes focusing on Dean calling out to her, and reopening them she finds her self in a office building, and she sees Dean laying on the ground, blood dripping down his face.
"Good meeting, Dean. You know, I'm excited" she hears a mans voice saying. She runs to Dean, going to help him up when suddenly a bag is tossed over the mans head, and Crowley appears knocking him out.
"Evening, Uncle" he says as he continues to hit the mans head.
"What the hell happened here, and what the hell was that" Calliope asks as she helps Dean get up.
"That was perfect" Crowley says.
"Perfect? He didn't want the rings. He wanted me" Dean shouts at him.
"Imagine the surprise on your face" Crowley then says.
"What?" Dean asks.
"Your ignorance and misinformation. I mean, it's completely authentic, you can't fake that. What? It went like clockwork" Crowley.
"It didn't for him, you sick son of a bitch!" Calliope says to him.
"That's what you get, working with a demon" he says to her. The anger courses through Calliope and she holds her hand out making Crowley go flying back and crash into the wall.
"What the bloody hell was that for?" he says standing up.
"That's what you get for working with a half-angel" she says to him, as she turns to face Dean, "Are you going to be okay?" she asks him.
"I will, just go..go back to Sam, and let him know we're on our way" he tells her.
"No, I am not leaving you with that" she says nodding toward Crowley.
"I can handle him" he tells her, "Go back, if I have any problems I will call you" he says as he then pulls her close kissing her on the top of the head, as she then disappears.
"Callie, thank God, is Dean okay?" she hears Sam asking.
"Yeah..just an issue getting the demon that's all. They should be on their way back soon" she tells him.

The Hopeful Project
A pair of twins stumble their way into the world of blood magic, lizard people, and cultivation powered mecha-armor. And by stumble, I mean one of them falls on their face while the other laughs. [Writathon Participant] People read this far? What are you doing down here? Escape! The chapter buttons are over there, stop reading this. No? Fine. This book is an excuse to put a world I spent around 3-4 months of my life building over the pandemic into writing. I was planning on doing the writathon last year, but somehow managed to confuse October and November. Dont laugh, I'm already ashamed enough. This book is about a pair of twins, doing twin things: calling each other names, going to school, learning how to use their blood to become unstoppable, juggernaut, killing machines... You know, twin stuff. It's like if someone stuffed a school arc inside of a tournament arc inside of a war arc. A good time, basically. I hope you enjoy it.

The Eternal Vigil
The year is 2220, a time when governments and nation-states are slowly becoming a thing of the past. Instead, all prominent parts of human society are now organizing around the commands of three great Artificial Intelligences, owned and operated by the world's largest corporation. World peace has been achieved, and the very word 'politics' has disappeared from people's lips. Religion has largely disappeared, replaced in some parts by worshipping of the great AIs, but mostly substituted by a devotion to material goods and faith in the market. There is now a general consensus that the best form of government has been found. No, it is not democracy, nor is it autocracy or oligarchy. Instead, it is technocracy - rule by the learned, the intelligent, and the skilled. And who are more learned, intelligent, and skilled than the great AIs? Exactly, no one. The AIs will correct some market failures once in a while, but shall otherwise let the market be free. After all, the freer the market, the freer the people. Some may question how society advanced to this stage, but that is all they will do - question. Because they will not find answers, for history is no longer taught anywhere. After all, it is not a practical subject. One cannot get a decently paying job with a history degree. Society doesn't have any time for people to idly ponder about the past. No, this is a practical society of practical people: engineers, doctors, lawyers, developers, managers, bankers, soldiers, and the such. My name is Aiden Scivit and I used to be one such practical man: minding my own business, doing my job, with the faith that hard work will always be rewarded by the market...and that politics and philosophy were things thought of by idly people who leech off society. But this all changed, and here is my story, my history. Just because the stories of ages long past have been erased, does not mean that a brand new beginning cannot be created. The story is already finished but I still need to do some editing so a chapter should be released each day for a month. It is a bit political, as you can probably tell by the introduction, so there is that (it will low-key read like a philosophy dump 10% of the time, so really it's like Atlas Shrugged but liberal and worse lol). Also, I actually wrote this in grade 10 as part of my MYP Personal Project, and recently touched up on it for online publication. Finally, if you find the writing style passable and are interested in my other works, check out the one in the link below. It is a fantasy set in the Ancient Greek world, and is completed and uploaded in full: https://www.royalroad.com/fiction/35099/the-oresteia-modernized
