(Season 5 x 19)
Dean drives down the road as rain pours down, deciding to get off the road, and not risk it anymore, Dean pulls the Impala into the nearest motel. All three of them grab their bags, and running through the rain they head inside. Looking around Calliope looks at the boys, realizing its much nicer than what they've stayed in before. "Nice digs for once" Dean remarks to Sam and Calliope.
The three of them stand at the front desk as they try to check in with the front desk clerk. He starts typing away at this computer, Calliope watching, as it looks like he isn't even typing anything real.
"Busy night" Dean says as it was taking some time.
"Any port in a storm, I guess. If you could just fill this out, please" he says as he paces a paper to Dean.
"Yeah" Dean says as he takes the paper and pen.
"Sir, I think you've got a little shaving nick there" the clerk says as he passes Dean a Kleenex and he takes it dabbing the cut on his neck. Dean looks down at the Kleenex to see the blood drop and is surprised.
"Your key" the clerk then says as he holds up a room key.
"Oh, thanks" Dean says taking it. "Hey, you wouldn't happen to have a coffee shop would ya?" Dean then asks.
"Buffet, all you can eat" the man says to him, "Best pie in the tristate area" he adds.
"You don't say" Dean says to him.
Before going to their room, the three of them head down to the buffet. Sam and Calliope get their food, as Dean goes to get some pie. "I don't like this" Calliope says to Sam.
"How so?" he asks her.
"I don't know Sam, just something feels off about this situation. I think we need to leave" she says to him.
"I agree" he says as he then takes his phone out and starts looking at it.
"Sam, unpucker, man, eat something, you too" Dean says as he sits down and he looks at Calliope.
"We should hit the road, Dean" Sam says to him.
"In this storm?" Dean says to him, "What, it's-"
"It's almost Biblical" Calliope says to him., "It's like Noah's ark outside and we are in here eating pie" she says to him.
"How many hours of sleep did you two get this week? What, three? Four? Bobby's got his feelers out. Okay, we've talked to every Hoodoo man and root woman in 12 states" Dean says to them.
"Yeah, well I'm not giving up" Sam says to him.
"Nobody's giving up. Especially me" he says to them, and they both look away for a moment, "We're gonna find a way to beat the devil, okay. Soon, I can feel it. And we will find Cass, we will find Adam. But you are no good to me burnt out, neither one of you." Dean says to them.
"Yeah, yeah, okay" Sam then says to his brother.
"I guess you're right" Calliope says agreeing with Dean for once.
"Come on, we have actually got the night off for once, let's try to enjoy it" Dean says to them.
"As long as you two don't really try to enjoy it next to me" Sam says to them, and Calliope nearly chokes on her food.
"What...no, Dean and I we." Calliope starts to say.
"Callie and I, no, we ...we uh.. we won't do that" Dean says to Sam, as they both start to feel very uncomfortable.

After finishing their meals, the three of them pick up their bags, and make their way to their room. As they walk toward the room, Calliope feels like something had pricked her, "Oww" she says as she places a hand on her neck, and sees a drop of blood.
"You okay?" Dean asks her.
"Uh, yeah" she says as they go to their room. Dean goes to unlock the door when they spot a very happy couple making out by another room door and Dean laughs.
"Oh, what are you 12?" Sam remarks to him.
"I'm young at heart" he remarks as he unlocks the door, and they walk in.
Dean whistles as he looks at the room walking toward one of the beds, "Wow, look at this, we're like Rockefellers" Dean says, "Chocolates, ohh" he then says as he picks up little chocolates that were on the pillows. Calliope and Sam were still looking around the room, when they look over at Dean, "You two want yours?" he then asks.
"Knock yourself out" Sam tells him, as he tosses his bag down. Calliope then walks over to the bed Dean had placed his bag on, and tosses her on their too, before sitting down on the edge.
"Whoa, Casa Erotica 13 on demand" Dean says reading a tv channel guide.
Calliope just rolls her eyes at this and Sam scoffs, "What?" Dean asks him.
"Isn't this place kind of in the middle of nowhere" Sam says to them.
"So?" Dean asks.
"So, what's a four-star hotel doing...on a no star highway?" Sam asks them. Just then they can hear the woman from the room next door laughing and Dean smiles at this, when suddenly the wall is crashed into from the other side. The three of them look at one another, before going to check it out. Calliope walks up to the door and using her powers she unlocks the door, and opens it, the three of them stepping inside.
"Hello?" Dean calls out as they see no one in there, he looks at Sam and nods, as Sam starts to look around.
"Hello?" Sam calls out and gets no response, as Dean and Calliope walk further into the room. Calliope looks at the messy bed, then spots something on the ground. Bending down she picks up an engagement ring and shows it to the boys.
They leave the room, and go to the front desk, "The room next to ours, the couple that are joined at the lips, have you seen them?" Dean asks the Front Desk Clerk.
"Mr. and Mrs. Logan? The honeymooners?" he says as he presses random buttons on the keyboard, "they checked out" he tells them, and the three of them look at him. "Is something the matter?" he asks.
"They checked out?" Sam asks.
"Mmm-hmm, just now" he says.
"Really? It sorta of seemed like they were in the middle of something" Sam says and the man just shrugs his shoulders.
"It's really weird that honeymooners would have checked out, without this though" Calliope says as she holds up the ring.
"Oh, dear. I'll just put that right in the lost and found, don't you worry" he says to her as he takes the ring, "is there anything else I can help you with?" he then asks.
"No, no, we're good" Dean says.
"Super fantastic" he says to Dean.
The three of them then step away from the desk, "Creepy" Sam quietly says.
"Broke the needle" Dean remarks, "All right, well I'll scope out the joint with Calliope...and you keep an eye on Norman Bates over here. I mean, one night off, is that too much to ask?" Dean says as they walk away from one another.

Dean and Calliope step onto the elevator, and Dean presses a button for the next floor, and they wait for the doors to close. "Something defiantly happened to that couple. I mean no woman would ever want to go anywhere without their wedding ring" Calliope says to Dean when the doors close and the elevator starts to move.
"Can you, you know do your thing?" Dean asks her.
"My thing?" she asks him.
"You know the same thing Cass does" he says to her.
"Oh" she says, as she then tries to make herself leave, but nothing happens. "Looks like I can't do my thing" she says to him, as the elevator comes to a stop. The two of them step off, as Dean takes the EMF reader out, and turns it on. They start heading down the hall, when they walk past a room, where they hear an Elephant trumpeting. Looking at one another, they step back and look into the room, where there is a black man, wrapping a towel around himself.
"This ain't no peep show!" he shouts at them before closing the door.
"Uhh, you heard and saw that, too right?" Dean asks Calliope.
"An elephant?" Sam asks once they met back up with him.
"Yeah" Dean says to him.
"Like, an elephant?" Sam asks still not believing them.
"Sam, it was like a full-on Babar" Calliope says as they come back to the front of the hotel.
"So, what the hell is..?" he stops talking when they see that no one is there.
"Where did everybody go?" Calliope then asks.
Sam then walks over to the front doors, and pulls, "Let me guess, it's locked" Dean says to him, "and Calliope can't do her thing" he adds, as Sam looks back over at them. "So, what the roaches check in, they don't check out?" he says.
"Think about how we got here" Sam then says, as he walks back over to Dean and Calliope. "That detour on I-90. The frigging hurricane?"
"You saying we were led here?" Dean asks.
"Like rats in a maze" Sam says to him.
"Damnit, let's check the rest of the place out" Calliope then says and the three of them head off.
Coming upon the kitchen, they walk inside to see it too was empty. Walking around Dean comes across a pot on a nearby stove that was boiling. "Please be tomato soup. Please be tomato soup" he repeats, as he lifts the ladle and they see human eyes.
All three of them look at it disgusted, "Motel Hell" Dean says. Sam then hears a noise, and starts walking toward a walk-in freezer, he goes to look in the window of it when people appear behind the glass.
"Help us! Get us out of here!" they shout. Sam then pulls on the handle and it won't budge, as he gets his lock picking tools out.
"Sam, hurry up, or let me do it" Calliope then says to him.
"I'm going as fast as I.." he looks at her and stops.
"There's somebody behind us, isn't there?" Dean then asks him. The three of them are then grabbed and dragged out of the kitchen. They are brought to a ballroom, where there are a group of people all standing around a table. The group turn and look at the three, as Sam, Dean and Calliope read each persons name tag. The black ma Calliope and Dean had seen earlier had a tag reading Ganesh, there was an older man who's read Odin. A very attractive woman, had a name tag reading Kali on her, as the see another man with Baron Samdi on his name tag.
"Something tells me this isn't a Shriner convention" Dean then says as the doors are shut behind them. Just then the concierge from the front desk wheels a tray in, "Dinner is served" he says as he takes the cover off the tray and the three of them see a head, and body parts all over it. The crowd then starts clapping, and spotlights are placed on Dean, Sam and Calliope, "Ladies and gentleman, our guests of honor have arrived" a man with the name tag Baldur says.
Baldur clinks a fork against his glass of champagne, "Ladies and gentlemen, thank you for coming" he says to the now seated group. "In all my centuries, I never though I'd see this. This many gods under one roof" he goes on to say.
"Gods?" Sam whispers to Dean and Calliope who were seated beside him.
"And before we get down to brass tacks, some ground rules: No slaughtering each other, curb your wrath. Oh, and keep your hands off the local virgins. We're trying to keep a low profile here" Baldur says.
"Oh, we are so, so screwed" Sam says quietly.
"And we all know why we're here. The Judeo-Christian apocalypse looms over us. I know, we've all had out little disagreements in the past... but the time has come to put those aside and look toward the future. Because if we don't, we won't have one. Now, we do have two very valuable bargaining chips: Michael and Lucifer's vessels" Baldur points as the brothers, "The question is: What do we do now? Anybody have any bright ideas? Speak up. This is a safe room" Baldar says to the group.
One man stands up and starts speaking in Cantonese, anger in his voice, " Oh I don't like his tone" Dean says to Sam and Calliope.
"Kill them? Why? So the angels here can bring them back again" Ganesh says.
"I don't know what everybody's getting so worked up about. This is just a couple of angels having a slap fight. It's not Armageddon" Odin remarks to the group. "Everybody knows when the world comes to and end the great serpent Jormungandar rises up...and I myself will be eaten by a big wolf." Odin goes on to say.
The man from before says something in Cantonese, and Odin looks at him, " oh, yeah, and why is that? Because your beliefs are so much more realisitic? Whole worlds' getting carried around....on the back of a giant turtle. Ha! Give me a break" Odin says and the man says something again to Odin. Odin then stands up grabbing a knife, "What are you gonna do about it" he threatens. As the two Gods starts arguing, Sam, Dean and Calliope try and sneak their way out, when the chandelier is dropped down in front of them.
"Stay" they then hear a woman say and turning around they see it is the God Kali. "We have to fight. The archangels the only thing they understand is violence. This ends in blood, there is no other way. It's them or us" she then says to the group.
"With all due respect, ma'am. We haven't even tried talking to them" the concierge says to her. Kali stares at the man, and he starts chocking, and he continues as he reaches out to her.
"Kali" Baldur says and she then stops.
"Who asked you?" she says to him.
Just then the doors to the room open up, "Can't we all just get along?" they hear the familiar voice of Gabriel say as he comes into the room. The boys then go to say his name and he points at them taking away their voices. "Tsk, tsk, Sam, Dean, oh and Calliope. It's always wrong place, worst time with you muttonheads, huh?" he says walking toward them.
"Loki" Baldur then says.
"Baldur" Gabriel says to him. "Good seeing you too. I guess my invitation got lost in the mail" he adds as he walks toward the group.
"Why are you here?" Baldur then asks.
"To talk about the elephant in the room" he says as Ganesh goes to stand up offended, "Not you" Gabriel looks at him, "the apocalypse. We can't stop it, gang." He says to all of them, "But first things first" he says as he looks at Sam, Dean and Calliope. "The adults need to have a little conversation. Check you later" he snaps his fingers, and suddenly the three of them are back in their room.

The Legion of Nothing
Nick Klein is your average high school geek--if you can still count as average when your grandfather is a retired superhero, and you've been trained in the martial arts by his friend, a mysterious, immortal mercenary. After his grandfather dies, Nick inherits the last version of the Rocket suit, powered armor that allows him to shrug off bullets, smash through walls, and manipulate sound. Along with it comes the base of his grandfather's superhero team including the team's jet and trophies from forty years of fighting criminals and aliens. Together, Nick and his friends, descendants of his grandfather's teammates, attempt to bring back a superhero team that was originally formed during World War 2. Along the way they'll face the normal problems of high school (bullies, homework, and dating), and the less normal problems like supervillians and mysteries leftover from their grandparents' past. As a story, it uses the conventions of all eras of comics from the 1940s on, ranging from serious to silly. If you're hoping for a grim and gritty story, this isn't it.
