Later that night, as Calliope sits in the den with Bobby, trying to find another way to end the devil, she looks up to see Adam trying to leave. She watches as Sam goes after him, most likely trying to convince Adam that by keeping him here, they are protecting him from the angels. Calliope gets up from where she is sitting and heads downstairs to check on Dean who was currently staying locked up in the Panic Room. Using her abilities, she opens the door and looks at him, "Hey" she says to him, and he looks away from her. "Seriously, you are going to try and give me the silent treatment" she says to him.
He scoffs before looking back at her, "you had to call in Sam didn't you" he says to her.
"I'm sorry Dean, it was the only choice I had. I needed to protect you" she says to him.
"I have to do this Calliope and you know this; you know I need to do it" he says to her.
"Dean, this isn't some stupid sacrifice shit. I can't watch you die not again" she says as she tries not to cry.
"Then don't, leave, walk away, you don't have to be a part of this not anymore" he says to her.
"Dean, I am not leaving you, I love you" she finally admits to him, he lowers his head as she says those words.
"Please, Calliope, just walk away from all this" he says to her as he looks up at her tears in his eyes.
"You're destroying me, Dean" she says to him.
"That's good" he says back at her. She then turns away and using her abilities she closes the door, before walking away and starts to head back upstairs as Sam comes down them with Castiel.
"Maybe you can knock sense in him" she says to Sam, as she heads back up the stair case.
Calliope waits as Sam tries to talk to Dean, but she had a feeling that it was going to just be a one-sided argument. Minutes later Sam comes back into the room, and Bobby looks at him, "How's he doing?" he asks. Sam just looks at Bobby mot saying a word, before he looks over at Calliope, shaking his head at her. "How you doing?" Bobby then asks him. Sam once again doesn't say a word, as Castiel then decides to go down and speak to Dean.
"hey, we won't let him do something stupid okay" Sam says to Calliope, as she tries not to get upset.
'I just...I just don't want to lose him Sam" she says as he then walks over to her hugging her. As Sam holds on to her, Calliope gets a sharp pain inside her body, and she groans out.
"Callie, Callie, what's wrong?" Sam asks her.
"I don't...I don't know..." she says as the pain subsides, and she has a feeling she knows what just happened. Pulling away from Sam, Calliope runs to the basement stairs, and rushes down them to the panic room. She sees the door wide open and she steps inside, seeing that Dean was gone, and one of the metal doors inside, there is the sigal mark to make Angels disappear. "Damnit! Damnit!" she says as she runs back upstairs.
"Where's Cass?" Bobby asks her.
"He's been blown to Oz. Sam we've gotta go find Dean, I don't think he's gone to far. Bobby can you just keep an eye on Adam" Calliope says as she picks up her jacket and tosses Sam his.

"How? You may have noticed he's got a slight height advantage" Bobby says to her.
"Then cuff him to your chair. I don't know, just watch him" Sam says to Bobby, as they go out the door.
As Calliope and Sam leave to go look for Dean, Bobby calls them back letting them know that Adam was gone. The rush back and see that Bobby was telling the truth and Adam had disappeared. "Bobby what happened?" Calliope asks him.
"He was right in front of me and he disappeared into thin air" Bobby tells her.
Just then they hear the rustling of wings, "Because the angels took him" they hear Castiel says as he reappeared with a beaten Dean.
"What the hell happened to him?" Sam asks.
"Me" Castiel says as he tosses Dean's body onto the bed.
"What do you mean the angels took Adam?" Bobby asks him, "You branded his ribs, didn't you?" he asks.
"Yes, Adam must have tipped them" Castiel then says.
"But how?" Calliope asks.
"I don't know, maybe in a dream" he tells her.
"Where would they have taken him?" Sam asks and Castiel doesn't say a word.
Sam gets Dean down and back in the panic room, and this time he handcuffs him to the bed. Calliope cleans up his wounds, as they both wait for him to wake up. Calliope sits down beside Sam, as Dean starts to come too, seeing that he is handcuffed, and back in the panic room.
"How you feeling?" Sam asks Dean.
"Word to the wise" Dean says as he sits up groaning, "don't piss off the nerd angels" he says to them. "So, how's it going?" he then asks them.
"Adam is gone" Sam tells him.
"The angels have him" Calliope adds.
"Where?" Dean asks.
"The...the uh room they took you too" Calliope then tells him.
"You sure?" Dean asks.
"Cass did a recon" Sam tells him.
"And?" he asks.
"And place is crawling with mooks. Pretty much a no-shot-in-hell, Hail-Mary kind of thing" Sam says to him.
"So, the usual" Dean remark, "What are you two gonna do?" he then asks.
"For starters? Bringing you with" Sam says as he gets up to unlock the handcuff.
"Excuse me?" Dean asks surprised by this.
"There is just too many of them, and the two of us and Cass won't be about to do it alone, and you're the only other game in town" Calliope tells him as Sam unlocks the cuff and walks back toward her throwing the key on the table.
"Isn't that a bad idea?" Dean asks them.
"Cass and Bobby think so, we're not so sure" Sam says looking at Calliope then back at Dean.
"Well, they're right" Dean says to them, "Cause either it's a trap to get me there to make me say yes...or it's not a trap and I'm gonna say yes anyway. And I will, I'll do it, fair warning" Dean says to the two of them.
"No, you won't" Sam says to his brother. "When push comes to shove, you'll make the right call" he goes on to say.
"You know, tables were turned...I'd let you rot in here" Dean says to Sam. "Hell, I have let you rot in here" he adds.
"Yeah, well, I guess I'm not that smart" Sam says to him.
"I don't get it, Sam. Why are you doing this? I know why she is, but why you" Dean then asks.
"Because, you're still my big brother" Sam tells him, and the three of them just sit there.

Once they head back upstairs, Castiel tells Calliope the location they are going to, and the two of them touch the brothers, as they are brought there. "Where the hell are we?" Dean asks as they follow Castiel.
"Van Nuys, California" Castiel informs him.
"Where is the beautiful room?" Dean then asks.
"In there" Castiel informs him.
"Beautiful room is in an abandoned muffler factory in Van Nuys, California?" Dean asks.
"Where did you think it was?" Castiel asks him.
"I don't know, Jupiter?" Dean says sarcastically. "A blade of grass? Not Van Nuys" he adds.
"Tell me again why you don't just grab Adam and shazam the hell out of there?" Sam asks.
"Because there are at least five angels in there" Castiel says to him.
"So, you're fast" Dean says.
"They're faster" Castiel says as he takes his tie off, "I'll clear them out, you three grab the boy. This is our only chance" he says to them.
"No, wait you are going to take on five angels? Let me help Cass" Calliope says.
"Yes, I am and no you will not" he says to her.
"Cass, taking them on your own that's suicide" she says to him.
"Maybe it is, but then I won't have to watch him fail" Castiel says as he looks at Dean, "Sorry, Dean I don't have the same faith in you that Sam or Calliope does" he says to him. Castiel then takes a exacto knife out of his pocket and Sam looks at him.
"What are you gonna do with that?" he asks, and the angel just looks at Sam.
Sam, Calliope and Dean stood outside the building as Castiel walks in, to get rid of the angels inside, "I should have gone in there too" Calliope says to the boys.
"No, it's too big of a risk" Sam tells her as they listen to Castiel fighting off the angels. They then hear some more noises and see a bright white light, and wait for a moment. Dean looks at Calliope and Sam and they nod at him as he opens the door. Dean steps through, and Calliope goes in behind him, closing the door behind her. The two of them walk inside the building, spotting a dead angel ahead of them , as they see a smaller building nearby.
"This must be it" Calliope whispers to Dean as he walks up to the door. Slowly Dean opens it, and they see it is the same room that they had been in before with the angels. Calliope and Dean step inside, and they see Adam hunched over leaning against a wall, and run up to him.
"Adam, hey, hey" Dean says as they both bend down beside him.
"You came for me" Adam says to them.
"Yea, well you're family" Dean says as they help him stand up.
"Dean, it's a trap" Adam warns him.
"We figured" Calliope then says as they start to step forward.
"Dean, Calliope, did you really think it would be that easy?" they then hear Zachariah say to them.
"Did you?" Dean asks as Sam comes up behind Zachariah with an angel blade, and he goes to stab him, but Zachariah just uses his powers to make Sam go flying across the room.
"Sam?" both Calliope and Dean call out, as Calliope goes toward Sam to make sure he's okay.
"You know what I've learned from this experience, Dean?" Zachariah says to him, "Patience" he says as he then flicks his hand at Adam.
Adam then starts to throw up blood, and falls over, "Adam? Let him go, you son of a bitch" Dean shouts at him.
"Yeah, I thought I was downsized for sure. And for us, a firing, pretty damn literal" the angel says as he chuckles, "But I should've trusted the boss man. It's all playing out like he said. You, me, your hemorrhaging brothers, and the girl you love, not being able to help" Zachariah says this and makes Sam start to throw up blood, and he then makes Calliope be tied up to a nearby chair, and she starts to struggle. "You're finally ready, right?" he says to Dean, as Dean looks at each person, "There's no other choice. There's never been a choice" he adds.
"Stop it. Stop it right now" Dean says to him.
"In exchange for what?" Zachariah asks him.
"Damn it, Zachariah. Stop it, please" Dean pleads., "I'll do it" he then says.
"I'm sorry, what was that?" Zachariah says to him.
"Okay, yes" Dean says.
"Dean, no" Calliope cries out.
"The answer is yes" Dean then says as he avoids looking at Calliope.
"Dean" Sam says to him,
"DO you hear me?!" Dean says to Zachariah, "Call Michael down, you bastard" he shouts at him.
"How do I know you're not lying?" Zachariah asks.
"Do I look like I'm lying" Dean says to him.
A smile forms on Zachariah's face as he turns and starts to chant in Enochian. Dean looks over at Calliope and Sam, and they both can't believe that he had said yes. He looks at them, and his expression changes as he gives them a sly smile, and winks. Zachariah then finishes chanting as the room starts to shake, "He's coming" he says.
"Of course, I have a few conditions" Dean then says as Zachariah turns to face him.
"What?" he asks Dean.
"A few people whose safety you have to guarantee before I say yes" Dean says to him.
"Sure, fine. Make a list. But most of all.... Michael can't have me until he disintegrates you" Dean says to him.
"What did you say?" Zachariah asks him.
"I said.." Dean steps forward, "before Michael gets one piece of this sweet ass...he has to turn you into a piece of charcoal" Dean says to him.
Zachariah chuckles at this, "You think Michael is gonna go for that?" he asks Dean.
"Who's more important to him now? You or me?" Dean says to him.
Zachariah grabs at Dean, "You listen to me. You are nothing but a maggot inside a worm's ass. Do you know who I am after I deliver you to Michael?" he says to Dean.
"Expendable" Dean says to him.
Zachariah shakes his head, "Michael is not gonna kill me" he says to Dean.
"Maybe not. But I am" Dean says as he then stabs Zachariah with the angel blade he had hidden. Suddenly there is a high pitched noise, Dean helps Adam get up, "Can you walk?" he asks him.
"Yeah" Adam says, as Dean then quickly unties Calliope, "Go now!" he shouts at her and she runs out of the room. Turning back around she see's Dean coming out with Sam, as the door then shuts behind them. They can hear Adam shouting inside, and both Dean and Calliope go to get him, and the handle on the door burns their hands. They tell Adam to hold on and that they will get him out as the room continues to glow. After a few minutes, the glowing stops, "Adam" Dean calls out, and he taps the handle of the room door, and he opens it up and they see that the room isn't the same one anymore.
The three of them ride in a truck that Dean managed to hotwire, and they are silent for most of the ride. "You think Adam is okay?" Sam suddenly asks rather quietly as Calliope had fallen asleep leaning on his shoulder.
"Doubt it. Cass either, but we'll get them" Dean says.
"So" Sam then says.
"So, what?" Dean asks.
"I saw your eyes. You were totally rocking the yes back there. So, what changed your mind?" Sam asks him.
"Honestly? The damnedest thing. I mean, the world is ending....the walls are coming down on us....I look over to you and all I can think about is: 'The stupid son of a bitch brought me here'. I just didn't wanna let you down, or her" Dean says as he glances at Calliope.
"You didn't, you almost did, but you didn't, and you didn't let her down either" Sam says to him.
"I owe you an apology" Dean then says.
"No, man, no, you don't" Sam says.
"Just let me say this, I don't know if it's being a big brother or what...but to me, you've always been this snot-nosed kid...that I've had to keep on the straight and narrow. I think we both know that's not you anymore. I mean, hell, if you're grown-up enough to find faith in me....least I can do is return the favor." Dean says to Sam. "So, screw destiny, right in the face. I say we take the fight to them, do it our way" he adds looking at Sam.
"Sounds good" Sam says to him, as Dean continues down the road.
