"Okay this, this is just ridiculous" Calliope says to Dean, who just looks at her confused. Dean then takes his phone out trying to call Sam once again. "You can't reach him, Dean" they then hear Castiel say, as Dean puts his phone away. "You're outside your coverage zone" Castiel says.
"What are you gonna do to Sam?" Dean then asks.
"Nothing" Castiel says as he walks by them, "He's gonna do it to himself" he explains as the two of them look at the angel.
"What's that supposed to mean?" Dean asks but Castiel doesn't say anything, "Oh, right, right, gotta toe the company line. Why are you here Cass?" Dean then asks as he walks over to the angel.
"We've been through much together, you and I, and I just wanted to say I'm sorry it ended like this" Castiel then says to him.
"Sorry" Dean says as he then punches Castiel across the face, spinning around, hurting his hand, "It's Armageddon, Cass. You need a bigger word than sorry" he says turning back around.
"Try to understand, this is long foretold, this is your-" "Destiny, don't give me that holy crap" Dean stops him from saying, "Destiny, God's plan, it's all a bunch of lies, you poor, stupid son of a bitch. It's just a way for your bosses to keep me, and keep you, in line. You know what's real? People, Families, that's real, and you're gonna watch them all burn" Dean says anger in his voice.
"What is so worth saving?" Castiel then asks, "I see nothing but pain here, I see inside you. I see your guilt, your anger, your confusion. In paradise, all is forgiven. You'll be at peace, even with Sam" he tells Dean, but he looks away at the last remark he says, and somehow Calliope feels like he is lying.
"You can take your peace and shove it up your lily-white ass. Because, I'll take the pain and the guilt, I'll even take Sam as is. It's a lot better than being some Stepford bitch in paradise. This is simple, Cass. No more crap about being a good soldier. There is a right and there is a wrong here and you know it!" Dean shouts at him, as he then grabs Castiel making him turn back around to look at him, "Look at me, you know it! Now you were gonna help me once, weren't you? You were gonna warn me about all this, before they dragged you to Bible camp. Help me now, please" Dean pleads with him.

"What would you have me do?" Castiel asks him.
"Get us to Sam, we can all stop this before it's too late, Calliope has tried and she can't" Dean tells him.
"I do that, we will all be hunted, we'll all be killed" Castiel says to them.
"Cass, if there is anything out there worth dying for right now, this is it" Calliope tells him, "It's a risk we are willing to take" she adds.
Castiel just looks at them shaking his head, "You spineless, souless son of a bitch. What do you care about dying? You're already dead, we're done" Dean says walking away hate in his voice.
"Dean" Castiel then says.
"You heard him, we are done with you" Calliope says anger also in her voice, as she goes over to Dean, Castiel then disappears.
"I'm sorry Dean, I wish I could do something, anything to get you out of here, I just still can't get a grip on these new abilities. Like Anna told me, my nephliam abilities are suppressed inside of me, something like my angel half doesn't want to come out and play" Calliope tells him.
"I know Callie and I don't blame you for any of this" he says as he starts to pace around the room. After a few minutes Dean stops and looks at the burgers on the table, picking one up to eat it. Before he can take a bite Castiel appears behind him, covers his mouth and pins him to the wall, pulling the demon knife out. He looks over at Calliope telling her with his expression to be quiet like Dean, and she nods in agreement, as she walks over to them. Castiel lets Dean go, as he takes the knife and slits his arm. He then rubs his hand in the blood and starts to draw a symbol on the wall behind Dean.
"Castiel!" the then hear Zach shout, "Would you mind explaining just what the hell you're doing?" he asks him.
"Calliope hold onto Dean" Castiel orders her, and she does so, as Castiel puts his hand on the symbol and there was a bright light. "He won't be gone for long. We have to find Sam now" he says to them.

"I tried getting Dean out before Cass, and I couldn't" Calliope says to him.
"The protection keeping Dean here is gone but it won't last too long we need to go now" Castel says.
"Okay, but where is Sam?" Calliope then asks.
"I don't know, but I know who does" Castiel says as he hands Dean the knife, "We have to stop him Dean, from killing Lilith" he continues.
"But Lilith is going to break the final seal" Dean says to him.
"Lilith is the final seal. She dies, the end begins" Castiel says as he then touches both Calliope and Dean.
The three of them leave the room that Dean has been trapped in and arrive in Chuck's house, he turns around and sees them, "Wait, this isn't supposed to happen" he says seeing them, "No, lady, this is definitely supposed to happen, but I just gotta call you back" he then says into the phone as he hangs up. "All right" he says looking at them.
"Tell us what you know Chuck" Castiel says to him, and he just looks at them for a moment, before going and printing out the latest thing he had written.
"St. Mary's, what is that, a convent?" Dean asks him.
"Yeah, but you guys aren't supposed to be there. You're not in this story" he tells him.
"Yeah, well, we're making it up as we go" Castiel tells him. Just then the power in Chucks home begins to flicker and a bright light appears.
"Wait, oh no, not again" Chuck says.
"It's the Archangel, I'll hold him off, I'll hold them all off, Just stop Sam!" Castiel shouts at Dean and Calliope as he sends them to the convent. Dean and Calliope look at one another, before heading off to find Sam. Turning down a hallway they see Sam and Ruby up ahead, and as they go to walk toward them, Ruby turns a smirk on her face as she uses her powers to shut the door keeping them out.
"Get that door open Calliope now!" Dean shouts at her. Calliope then focuses on the door, trying to open it, trying to get them to Sam, but whatever powers Ruby used to shut it, where more powerful then her. Calliope continues to try using everything inside her, but she can't get it open, as she feels like she is about to pass out, Dean catches her.
"I'm....I'm sorry Dean" she cries.
"It's okay, Callie, it's okay" he tells her, as he leans her against the wall, and he goes to the door pounding on it.
"Sam! Sammy! Sam!" he shouts trying to get his brother's attention. Dean then looks around for something to beak the door down, as they see a bright light emit from the bottom of the door.
"Dean...Dean, let me try again" Calliope says.
"No, I'm not letting you get hurt" he says to her as they can hear Ruby and Sam arguing inside. After a few tries he finally burst the door open. Dean marches into the room, seeing Ruby close to Sam, as he heads toward them. Ruby stands up looking at Dean, "You're too late" she says to him.
"I don't care" he says anger in his voice, as Sam grabs her from behind and Dean stabs her with the demon knife. He twists it inside her, as he finally kills her and Sam lets go of Ruby as her lifeless body falls. Sam looks at Dean, sadness on his face, "I'm sorry" he says to his brother. Calliope slowly stands back up from where she was sitting, and using the wall for balance she heads to the room the boys had been in. Once she gets there, she feels the room vibrating as a bright light emits from the ground. Dean grabs at Sam, "Sammy, let's get Calliope and go" he tells him.
Sam doesn't move as he stares at the bright light, "Dean...he's coming" Sam says as they stand there watching the light, not knowing what was going to happen next.

What Was Lost Outside Time
What happens to a mind, subjected to an infinite span of time? What remains, when it is taken out again? This is the story of an individual reborn after such time has passed that nothing remains of what it was; an individual who must learn once again what it is to be, beginning with awareness of the idea of awareness, and growing from there; from awareness of self, to awareness of others, to awareness of society, and on. This is the story of a mind; growing, learning, adapting, and becoming more. -- Currently the first three chapters are - well, kind of experimental. I both like and hate these; they were a pain to write, and I'm told by at least one person that they're painful to get through, but I think something like them is necessary to set one of the basic ideas about the way the story is written. It gets slightly more normal after that, the first arc of the story is rather "battle school", and I think I may need to go back and edit it - the characterization didn't end up working out as well as I had originally hoped, unfortunately, and ended up rather weak to my eye. I may go back and add a sub-plot or two, depending on how well I can handle the intended perspective shift of the second arc. -- Currently on hiatus, in case that wasn't obvious. I'm debating between rewriting large portions of what I've already written, and just finishing out the story, but either way, I don't actually have a clear idea of what I want to do right now. If I'm still feeling the same way in a few months I'll put a chapter up explaining where the story was going, maybe, so the people who have enjoyed it can know where the story was intended to go, and close this out.

Path of the Ancients
When humans with the ability to control the fundamental particles of the universe with their minds were first discovered, the age of space travel began in earnest. Relativistic travel faster than the speed of light became possible and humanity moved out into the stars. When it was discovered that these Mages could be turned into effective weapons, humanity turned back to its oldest pastime of war. Hundreds of years later as humanity was on the brink of self-destruction, with its taste for war finally beginning to wane, a new organization was created. The Conclave was formed to regulate all Mage’s within the human colonies. While the colonies maintained their independence, the Conclave’s control over access to interstellar travel made them the de facto power amongst humanity. As the old saying goes, ‘Power Corrupts’, and many people were unhappy with the way the Conclave had been leveraging its authority, not the least of which were the Mages they controlled. One unregistered illegal Mage by the name of Tyrial had made it his life's mission to dismantle the Conclave at any cost. After spending decades working towards his goals alone, he realized he would need the aid of willing allies in his crusade. Tyrial would need all the help he could get learning to work with others, dealing with his own dark past, and handling unfamiliar feelings of romantic interest. Content Warning Note: They are there to cover my behind. I honestly hesitated to put them there at all but I figured better safe than sorry. Gore in particular barely applies and the sexual content amounts to light Cinemax style at best. But, at least now you can’t say I didn’t warn you. POSTED: Currently, this story is being posted to RoyalRoad and ScribbleHub. If you see this story posted anywhere else, please report it to the user "Tyrial" on either of the aforementioned sites.
