Dean, and Calliope head up the stairs to the home where they can see two people attacking Jimmy's family. Dean rushes in, going up behind the man and using the demon-killing knife slits his throat. Just then Calliope uses her powers to toss the woman away from Jimmy. Sam comes into the room, and using his abilities he manages to hold the woman in place, as Calliope and Dean look at him, " Go, get them out of here" he tells them.
"Go, go" Dean shouts at them and they all start to run. Suddenly Sam's powers start to stop working at the demon smiles at him.
"Aww, can't get it up, can you Sam" she says to him.
"No, but I can" Dean rushes at the woman, but before he can stab her she opens her mouth and they watch as the Demon leaves her body, and the woman collapses.
"Come on, come on, come on" Dean tells Sam, urging him and Calliope to leave the house.
They get outside to see Jimmy, with his daughter, "Thank God" he says.
"Where's your wife?" Dean then asks.
"Right here" she says as she comes running over with a coat for their daughter.
"Let's go" Dean tells them, and they all get in the Impala. Jimmy, his wife and daughter get in the back , as Calliope squeezes between Sam and Dean in the front, and Dean drives as fast as possible away from the house. As they drive away, Calliope has this odd feeling about Jimmy's wife, but pushes it aside as Dean tries to get them far away.
They finally get far enough away, and Dean pulls the Impala over, as him, Calliope, Sam and Jimmy get out of the car.
"You were right" Jimmy says looking at Dean, after looking at his wife and daughter.
"I'm sorry we were" Dean tells him.
"I'm telling you, I don't know anything" Jimmy says to them.
"I don't think they're inclined to believe you" Dean says to him.
"And even if they did, you're a vessel. They're still gonna wanna know what makes you tick" Sam says.
"Which means vivisection, if they're feeling generous" Dean says to him.
"We're gonna tell you this again and again Jimmy, you're putting your family in danger. You need to come with us" Calliope tells him.
He looks back at his wife and daughter, before looking back at the three of them, "How long? And don't give me that 'cross that bridge when we get to it' crap" Jimmy says to them.
"Don't you get it? Forever" Sam says to him, "The demons will never stop. You can never be with your family. So you either get as far away from them as possible, or put a bullet in your head, and that's how you keep your family safe. But there's no getting out and there's no going home" he goes on to say.

"Wouldn't want you to sugarcoat it, Sammy" Calliope then says.
"I'm just telling him the truth, Callie. Someone has to" Sam tells him.
Sam goes to hotwire a car for Jimmy's wife and daughter as Jimmy tells them he has to leave them again. Dean and Calliope watch them as they say goodbye to one another, and Calliope still has the odd feeling about Jimmy's wife. Sam finally gets the car started for them, "So , here s you car" he tells Jimmy's wife, and Jimmy says good bye once more to them, as he gets in the Impala with Sam, Calliope and Dean, and Dean drives off.
"What the hell happened back there?" Dean asks Sam once they were further away, and Jimmy was asleep.
"What?" Sam asks him.
"You practically fainted trying to gank a demon" Dean says to him.
"Okay, I didn't faint, I got a little dizzy" Sam tells him.
"You can call it what you want. Point is you used to be strong enough to kill Alastair. Now you can't kill uh stunt-demon number three" Dean says to him.
"What do you want me to say about it Dean?" Sam asks him.
"How about for starters what's going on with your mojo. I mean, it's yo-yoing all over the place. I'm not trying to pick a fight here, okay, you're scaring me, man" Dean tells him.
"I'm scaring myself" Sam tells him, and Dean just glances at him.
Just then Sam's cell starts to ring, "Hello....Who is this?" Sam then says, when he leans back and shakes Jimmy awake, "Hey" he says walking him up, "It's your wife" he tells him giving Jimmy the phone.
"Amelia" Jimmy says "Oh, my God" he then says looking at Calliope, Sam and Dean.
Pulling up to the abandon Warehouse, Dean stops and parks the Impala, and they all get out, "Okay, they're expecting you to come alone, that's exactly what you're gonna do" Dean tells Jimmy.
"We'll work our way through the catwalks. We'll be right behind you" Sam tells him.
"All we need you to do is try and stay calm, and stall them, let the three of us do our job" Calliope informs him as she stands between Sam and Dean.
"You want me to stay calm, this is my family we're talking about" Jimmy says to her.
"Listen to me, this will work, you understand? Nobody's gonna get hurt" Dean tells him.
"Yeah, whatever" he says to Dean, "Give me a minute, okay" he walks away from the three of them.
"There's no way they're expecting him to come alone, Dean. You know this is probably a trap" Sam tells him.
"Yeah, I know, that's why I have a plan" he says to them.
"Care to tell us this plan" Calliope asks him.
"I will" he says smiling at her as he fills Sam and her on his plan to save Jimmy and his family.

Demons approach Sam, Calliope and Dean, just as Dean had planned on happening, and dragged them into the warehouse. "Nice plan, Dean" Sam says to him.
"Yeah, well nobody's bats, 1,000" Dean says to his brother, as the three of them struggle with the demons holding them.
"Got the knife?" the demon in Jimmy's wife asks, and the demon holding Sam holds the knife out.
"And you know what's funny?" Jimmy's wife asks.
"You wearing a soccer mom" Dean says to her.
"I was actually bummed to get this detail, picking up an empty vessel. Sort of like a milk run, now look who landed in my lap" she says to them.
"Yeah, well you got us, huh, okay, let these people go" Sam says to her.
"Oh, Sam, it's easy to act chivalrous when your Wonder Girl powers aren't working, huh. Now for the punch line" she says as she takes a gun out, "Everybody dies" she says. Calliope looks at Dean, who lightly shakes his head no, telling her not to use her abilities, when the demon in Jimmy's wife turns and shoots Jimmy. "Waste little orphan Annie" she then instructs one of the demons holding Sam, as she then walks away. They watch as the demon walks up to Jimmy's daughter, and just as he is about to kill her, she reaches up touching his head, and a bright light emits, killing the demon.
Sam, Dean and Calliope use this as their opportunity to attack the demons that were holding them. The three hunters continue to fight off the demons, when the young girl walks toward them, getting rid of the demon that was fighting off Calliope and then the one fighting Dean. Calliope helps Dean get up as they look over at Sam, and watch as he starts to drink the demon's blood like a vampire does.
Sam looks over at Calliope and Dean, and they see the blood around his mouth, and they both look at one another scared, as Sam turns back and stabs the demon with the knife. He stands up looking at them, reaching out with his hand; Dean grabs Calliope pulling her close behind him, when they see that Jimmy's wife was coming up behind them. They watch as Sam exorcises the demon out of her, and Dean and Calliope go over making sure she is okay. They then walk over toward Jimmy, where his daughter is talking to him.
"I wanna make sure you understand. You won't die or age, if this last year was painful for you, picture a hundred, a thousand more like it" she tells him.
He reaches out touching her arm, "it doesn't matter, you take me, just take me" Jimmy says to her.
"As you wish" she says touching his face, and a bright light emits from her hands into his face. They watch as the light fades, and he gets up walking past his wife and toward Sam, Calliope and Dean, as his wife goes to their daughter. He looks at them, before walking away, "Cass, hold up" Dean then says to him.
"What were you gonna tell me?" Dean asks him.
"I learned my lesson while I was away, Dean. I serve heaven, I don't serve man...and I certainly don't serve you" he says before walking away from them.
Sam, Calliope and Dean were in the Impala, the car ride had been mostly silent, until Sam broke that silence, "All right, let's hear it."
"What?" Dean asks him.
"Drop the bomb, man. You two saw what I did. Come on, stop the car, take a swing" Sam says to him.
"I'm not gonna take a swing" Dean tells him.
"Then scream, chew me out" Sam says.
"I'm not mad, Sam" Dean says calmly.
"Come on, you're not mad" Sam asks him.
"No" Dean says.
"Right, look at least let me explain myself" Sam then says.
"Don't....I don't care" Dean tells him.
"You don't care?" Sam asks him.
"What do you want me to say, that I'm disappointed? Yeah I am. But, mostly, I'm just tired, man. I am done, I am just done" Dean tells him as he continues driving.
Just then Sam's phone rings, "Bobby....what's going on?" Sam says to him and after a minute he hangs up the phone.
"What did Bobby want?" Calliope asks him.
"Something big is going on, and he wants us there ASAP" he tells her.
"Well let's go" she says, looking at Dean through the rear-view mirror who gives her a light look back.
They eventually arrive at Bobby's and the three of them get out of the car, going in as they follow him down to the basement and toward the panic room. "Well, thanks for shaking a tail" Bobby says to them.
"Yeah, you got it" Dean says.
Sam then opens the door to the panic room, "Go on inside I wanna show you something" Bobby tells him.
"All right" Sam says as he goes into the room, and the other three stay outside of it. "So, uh, what's the big demon problem?" he then asks turning around to look at them.
"You are, this is for your own good" Bobby says as him and Dean then shut the door.
"Guys? Hey. Hey. What?" Sam says as Bobby closes the peephole on the door, "This isn't funny! Guys! Hey, Guys! Calliope!" Sam shouts, as they just look at one another knowing this was the only way to protect Sam and protect themselves.

As this is my first work of any sort of writing, I would love it if you can give me any feedback you can think of. Hit me hard and hit me often, so I can make it better for everyone. Thank you! Authors Note #2. Some of the wonderful people reading this horrible attempt at literature have reviewed the Main Character as an unlikable a**hole that thinks everything is stupid or idiotic, while others have reviewed the Main Character as realistic and sarcastic. As the author, I think that both of these points are true, and if you, the reader, feel like you won't enjoy the MC being these things in your story, then it might be that this fiction is not for you. But if it is, then I welcome you with open arms. Thank you for your time.

AN: This story is an attempt to overcome insecurity regarding the quality of my writing by practicing with intentional schlock. "Just write," as the advice goes. While it may not be masterfully plotted, the subject matter is one close to my heart and one that I endeavor to explore in a new light. After all, who ever heard of the fairy sidekick being an isekai protagonist? Cover image © Vanish under the terms of the CC BY-ND 2.0 license.
