(Season 4 x 14/15)
It had been a few months since the events with Anna had taken place, and Calliope still hadn't found much out about who she really was, or any more seals. She had kept in contact with the boys, hearing about their latest cases, involving a ghost killing people in a house, a magician that had made a deal that caused his friends to die, an even a spirit that had been haunting a school they once went to. Bobby had just sent them on another case, one that husbands had been killing their wives. Callie was seated at the desk, when Bobby's phone went off, and he figured out they were dealing with a siren. Bobby had hung up the phone when he looked at Callie, a concerned look on his face.
"They're in trouble aren't they?" she asks closing the book infront of her.
"Those idjits got themselves a siren, I gotta make a call and check something out first before we go rushing to their rescue" he tells her as he walks away and goes to the kitchen, to the many different phones Bobby had in the house. A few minutes later Calliope hears Bobby hang up this phone and shout out Damnit.
"They got trouble?" Calliope asks Bobby.
"Hell yeah, they got a siren and I think it's already gotten to Dean" he tells her as he starts to go around the room and looks for a bronze knife.
"I'm coming with you" Calliope says to Bobby.
"Like hell you are, you need to stay here where it's safe" he says to her.
"Bobby, those boys are like family to me, and if they are in danger I need to be there" she tells him as she gets up and opens a drawer finding the knife he needs. "Especially if it's Dean" she adds handing Bobby the knife.
"Alright, but we aint using your weird mojo, I'm driving" he tells her as they then grab their stuff and leave Bobby's home.
After a few hours of driving between the two of them, they arrive at the motel that the boys were suppose to ne staying in. They arrive to hear the boys shouting at one another, and the noise of things crashing. Calliope rushes ahead of Bobby inside the motel, where she sees Dean attacking Sam, using her powers she separates the two boys, "This isn't you" she shouts at the boys. Just then Bobby comes in and stabs Dean in the shoulder, as they see a man in the hall, who looks at the two of them and starts to run off. Bobby raises the knife and Sam shouts No at him, as Bobby tosses the knife hitting the man in the back. They watch as the man falls down, and dies, Sam and Dean look at one another than at Calliope who was still holding them apart. "IS it safe to let these two go Bobby?"she asks the old man.
"Yeah..yeah they shouldn't try to kill each other anymore" he tells her and she sets them free.
The four of them are outside by the cars, Bobby hands the boys a drink and one to Callie, "Thanks" she says along with Sam.
"Soda?" Dean asks him.
"You boys are driving, aren't ya?" he asks him.
"Thanks Bobby, Callie, you know if you hadn't shown up when you did.."Sam says.
"Done the same for me, more than once, course you coulda picked up the phone. Only took one call to figure out that Agent Nick Munroe wasn't real" Bobby says to them and they both look at him an awkward silence falling between them. "You boys gonna be okay?" he then asks them.

"Yeah, fine" Sam says.
"Yeah, good" Dean adds.
"They will be, cause once again I leave you boys and you get in trouble, I'm starting to think I need to stay with you boys at all times" Calliope says smiling at the boys.
Bobby then heads back toward his car, and passes Calliope her duffle bag, "You, know, those sirens are nasty things, that it got you, that's no reason to feel bad" he tells the boys as he gets in the car, then drives off.
"You gonna say good-bye to Cara?" Dean then asks Sam.
"Whooo, whose Cara?" Calliope teases Sam.
"No one,I'm not interested" Sam tells her.
"Really, why not?" Dean then asks his brother.
"What's the point?" Sam asks him.
"Well, look at you, love 'em and leave 'em" Dean says to him.
"Dean, look, you know I didn't mean the things I said back there right? That it was just the siren's spell talking?" Sam says to him.
"Of course, me too" Dean says to him.
"You two going to be okay?" Calliope asks senseing that some terrible things were said between the two of them,
"Yeah...we're good" Dean says as he gets in the Impala.
A few days later, Calliope, Dean and Sam were at a diner, Bobby had called Sam with some info on a possible case from what Calliope could hear, and Dean was trying to get the jukebox to work.
"No, no, no, you're right, it's definitely weird..Okay, Bobby, thanks" Sam says as he hangs up his phone, and Dean comes back over to the table.
"What's up?" Dean asks as he sits down beside Calliope.
"Bobby found something in Wyoming" Sam tells him as he starts typing on his laptop.
"A job?" Dean asks.
"Possibly" Calliope tells him as she starts to eat the fries off his plate, and he picks up his burger.
"Small town, no one's died in the past week and a half" Sam tells him as Dean bites into the burger.
"That so unusal?" Dean asks.
"Well, it's how they're not dying" Sam tells the two of them.
"One guy with terminal cancer strolls right out of hospice, another guy gets capped by a mugger and walks away without a scratch" Sam explains.
"Capped in the ass?" Dean asks him.
"Police say Mr. Jenkins was shot in the heart at point-blank range by a nine-millimeter" Sam says clearly reading the article from his computer.
"And he's not a doughnut?" Dean asks his mouth full of food.
"Locals are saying it's a miracle" Sam tells him.
"Okay" Dean says to Sam.
"It has to be something then, maybe residents are making deals with demons, or there's something else going on, but it sounds like a case to me" Calliope says as she takes another fry from Dean's plate and he gives her a look.
"You think?" he asks her.
"What else would it possible be?" she asks as she continues to steal his fries.
"I don't know" he says to her.
"All right" Sam says as he puts his laptop away in his bag, " get that to go" he adds looking at Dean then at the burger. Dean looks at his burger and doesn't move, " Come on" Sam says as he stands up and picks up his bag. "What?" Sam asks Dean as he still keeps eating the burger.
"Sure you want me going with you?" Dean asks him.
"Why wouldn't I?" Sam asks him.
"I don't want to be holding you back or nothing" Dean remarks.

"Dude, I've told you a hundred times, that was the siren talking, not me" Sam tells him, "Can we get past this?" he asks.
Dean then puts the burger down, "Yeah, we're past it" he says as he cleans his hands off. Calliope grabs a couple more fries, as Dean then gets up and the three of them leave the diner.
"Now you three said you were bloggers" the man Jim, who was the latest miracle asks the hunters that are seated at his dinning table.
"Yes, sir Floored by the Lord dot com" Sam tells him.
"All of God's glory fit to blog" Dean grins at him.
"There are some people around town that are saying what happened to you was something of a miracle" Calliope says to the man.
"It was, plain as day" Jim tells her.
"How can you be so sure?" Sam asks him.
"How else do you explain it? The doctors can't" he tells Sam. "There's a bullet in my heart, and it's pumping like a piston" he adds.
"Then how do you explain what happened?" Calliope asks.
He hesitates to answer as he looks over at his daughter in the next room before looking back at Calliope, "Look, honestly, I was nobody's saint-not exactly father of the year, either" he tells her.
"Okay" Dean says.
"But when that guy shot me and I didn't bleed a drop? I just knew the Lord was giving me a second chance" Jim tells them.
"That so?" Dean asks him.
"I had this feeling-like Angels were watching over me" Jim says this and the three hunters share a quick glance at one another. "I wouldn't expect you guys to understand" he adds.
"Well, we'll just have to try" Dean says to him.
"You wouldn't have happened to have swung by a crossroads in the past week or so?" Sam suddenly asks Jim.
"No" he answers confused.
"Maybe you met someone? With black eyes? Or red?" Sam then asks.
"Who' you guys say you were again?" Jim asks them concerned about the odd questions Sam was asking.
"Just going over our basics, thank you for your time" Calliope says as she gets up and the boys do the same following her out of the home.
Calliope and Dean sit by one another at the table in their motel room, looking into any info on when these non deaths could have started, while Sam had gone to talk to some other miracles. They both hear a noise and see Sam walk into the motel, "Hey" he says to them.
"Hey, did you find anything out" Calliope asks looking up at Sam.
"The cancer survivor, he was clinically dead, his wife pulled the plug, and now hes taking her out for their twentieth anniversary" he tells them.
"Any sign of a deal?" Dean asks him.
"No, what about the two of you? Found anyone dying around here?" Sam asks.
"Not since Cole Griffith" Dean tells Sam, "he dropped ten days ago, it was the last death we could find" he adds.
"So what are you two thinking?" Sam asks them.
"Eh, maybe it is what the people say it is" Dean says to his brother as he gets up from the table.
"I dunno Dean, miracles, in our experience miracles just don't happen, and I have no idea what this could be" Calliope says to him as Sam comes over and looks at the laptop.
"Well, there's no deals, there's uh, no skeevy faith healers" Dean says to her and Sam as he pours himself some coffee. "I mean, these souls just ain't getting dragged into the light" Dean says as he takes a sip of his coffee.
Sam looks at Calliope, then at his brother, "Maybe 'cause there's no one around to carry them" he says to them.
"What do you mean?" Dean asks him.
"Well, grim reapers-that's what they do, right? Schelp souls, so if death ain't in town-" Sam says.
"Then no one is really dying" Calliope says for him.
"So what? The local reapers's on strike? Playing the back nine? I don't know Callie, Sam" Dean says as he drinks his coffee.
"Well, then let's talk to somebody who might" Sam then says.
"Well, last I checked, huggy bear ain't available" Dean says.
"No, dude, the kid" Sam says to him.
"The kid? The kid's a doornail" Dean says to his brother.
"Exactly, look, if he was the last person to die around here, then maybe he's seen something. We should talk to him" Sam says.
"I love how matter-a-fact you are about that. Strange lives" Dean says as he goes back to his coffee.
Later that night, Dean, Calliope and Sam stand around Cole Griffith's grave, as Sam sets up their ritual. Sam sets some sticks in the centre of the pentacle he has created with candles as Dean sits on another gravestone and is looking through their Dad's journal.
"You sure this is gonna work?" Dean asks his brother.
Sam looks up at him, "No, but if his spirit's around, this should smoke him out." Sam says as he pours a liquid in the bowl, and Dean closes the journal.
"What is it Dean?" Calliope asks him.
"This job is jacked, that's what" he tells her.
"How?" she asks.
"You want me to gank a monster or torch a corpse, hey, let's light it up right? But this? If we fix whatever this is, people are gonna start dropping dead, good people" Dean says to her.
Sam stands up looking at his brother, "Look, I don't want them to die either, Dean, but there's a natural order" he tells him.
"You're kidding, right?" Dean says to him.
"What?" Sam asks.
"You don't see the irony in that? I mean, you, Callie and me, we're like the poster kids of the unnatural order. All we do is ditch death" Dean says to his brother.
"Yeah, but the normal rules don't really apply to us, do they?" Sam asks him.
"We're no different than anybody else" Dean says to him.
"Umm Dean, I'm apparently part Angel, Sam has demon blood in him, and you have been to hell, I think that really makes us different" Calliope says to him.
"Look, I know you want to think of yourself as Joe the Plumber, Dean, but you're not. Neither are we, the sooner you accept that, the better off you're gonna be" Sam says to him.
"Ah, Joe, the Plumber was a douche" Dean remarks.
"You gonna help me finish this?" Sam then asks referring to their spell.
Dean stands up to help Sam, when a man shouts at the three of them , and they all turn to look at the man, "What are you doing here?" he asks and they all look at one another trying to come up with a reasonable excuse.
"Uh...just take it easy" Sam tells the man.
"What the hell is this?" the man asks seeing what they have set up.
"Okay, this-this-this is not what it looks like" Dean says laughing.
"Really? 'Cause it looks like devil worship" the man says.
"What? No! No, this is not devil worship. This-this is-this –this is uh" Dean then looks at Calliope, "I don't have a good answer" he then adds.
"We're leaving" Sam then tells the man.
"You're not going anywhere" the man tells them as he takes a step forward near Sam, "Ever again, Sam" he then says as he looks over at Dean, and the man's eyes go white.
"Alastair" Dean says as the demon's eyes go back to normal, "I thought you got deep-fried, extra crispy" he says.
"Nah, just the pediatrician I was riding. His wife's still looking for him, it's hilarious. Anyway," Alastair looks at Sam, "No time to chat, got a hot date with death" he says this and flicks his hand at Dean, who goes flying across the graveyard and he collides with a gravestone.
"Dean!" both Sam and Calliope shout, as Calliope rushes over to check on him.
"You okay?" she asks him.
"Hell no" he groans as she helps him get up, they take a look over at Sam and Alastair, and watch as the demon leaves the man's body.
Calliope sits down on the bed beside Dean, as she places an ice pack on his head, hoping to help with his pain. Sam comes back into the motel looking at the two, "Umm How are you doing?" he asks his brother.
"I'm in pain, that's how I'm doing. I think I have a concussion" Dean tells him.
"You want an asprin?" Sam asks him.
Dean sits up, "No thanks House. So, demons, huh?" he then says.
"Yeah, so much for miracles" Sam says to his brother.
"So what exactly happened with Alastair, Sam?" Calliope asks him.
"I told you two, he tried to fling me or whatever" Sam says indicting a flinging motion with his hand as he heads for the coffeemaker. "It didn't work, so he bailed" he then adds.
"Well, how come he couldn't fling you? He chucked you pretty good last time" Dean says to him.
Sam looks over at his brother and Calliope, "Got no idea" he tells him as he goes back to making himself coffee.
"Sam, do me a favour" Dean says and Sam looks back over at him again, "If you're gonna keep your little secrets, I can't really stop you, but just don't treat me like an idiot, okay" Dean tells him.
"What? Dean, I'm not keeping secrets" he says though both Dean and Calliope can tell he is doing just that.
"Yeah, okay, so did you go back and question the dead kid, while I was taking care of your brother?" Calliope asks.
"Didn't have too, Bobby called. He did some digging" Sam tells her.
"And?" Dean asks.
"He thinks I'm right, local reaper's gone. Not just gone-kidnapped" Sam tells them.
"Why would demons be kidnapping reapers?" Calliope asks.
"Listen to this, 'And he bloodied death under the newborn sky-sweet to taste, but bitter when once devoured'" Sam says reading from the notebook.
"Swanky. What the hell's that mean?" Dean asks looking at his brother confused.
"Well, it's from a very obscure, bery arcane version of Revelations" Sam tells him.
"Does it mean what I think it means then?" Calliope asks Sam.
"Basically, you kill a reaper under the solstice moon-tomorrow night, by the way-you got yourself a broken seal" Sam tells them.
"How do you ice a reaper? You can't kill death" Dean says to him.
"I don't know, maybe demons can. Where the hell are the angels is what I want to know. We could use their help for once" Sam says to them.
"It looks like we're gonna have to take care of this one ourselves" Dean says.
"What are we gonna do, just swing in and save the friendly neighborhood reaper?" Sam says to the two of them.
"You got a better idea, I'm all ears" Dean says.
"Dean, reapers are invisible, the only people that can see them are the dead and the dying" Sam says to him.
"Since ghosts can see them, then why don't we just do that become ghosts" Calliope suggests.
"You sure you didn't get the concussion?" Sam asks her.
"I know is sounds crazy" she says to him.
"It is crazy" Sam says as Calliope gets up off the bed and goes for her phone, "How?" Sam then asks her.
"Just gotta make a call that's all" she says as she starts to dial a familiar number.
The next morning Calliope returns to the motel, Pamela right with her, as she goes to open the door Sam already does it for her.
"I can't even begin to tell you how crazy you three are" Pamela says as they enter the motel room. She begins to walk around by feeling the counter, then the chair.
"Well, Pamela, you're a sight for sore eyes" Sam tells her as he closes the door. Pamela turns around and lowers her sunglasses to reveal her white plastic eyes.
"Aw, that's sweet grumpy" she remarks as she puts her sunglasses back on, "What do you say to deaf people?" she says to Sam who look sumcomfortable. "Which one of you brainiacs came up with the astral projection?" Pamela then asks.
"Uh..I did" Calliope tells her.
"Aww, of course you did sweet thing" Pamela says to her, "So let's be clear. You want to rip your souls out of your bodies and take a little stroll through the spirit world?" she says to them.
"More or less" Calliope says to her.
"Do you have any idea how heavy-duty that is?" Pamela says crossing her arms.
"Maybe, but that's where the reaper is so..." Dean says to her.
"So, it's nuts" she says to Dean.
"Not if you know what you're doing" Dean says.
"You don't know what you're doing" Pamela says.
"No, but we figured you do" Calliope tells her.
"Yeah, I do. And guess what? I'm sick of being hauled back into your angle-demon, soc-greaser crap" she says bitterly.

Zone has no owner, it has its rules It shows no mercy, to both wise and fools. It has no God, it gives no hope It gives to kind, last rites and rope. It’s a Hell on Earth where demons thrive But people kill, to get inside. People kill, to leave this place People die, for a chance to stay. For those, outside, they dream of horrors We live inside, horrific borders. We live, we thrive, just like those demons. Here, our lives, they have a meaning. Zone has no God, it has no Devil But it has us and its enough We are in Hell or maybe Heaven Gates are here, in front of us. The Zone has many rules and none of them would make much sense to you, living on the Outside. For example here, you would never hear, “I’m sorry for your loss”. Only silence would be the answer. The most empathetic action you would receive, is an open flask and a nod. People here don’t expect to live long and happy lives and even the most optimistic person at most, would hope to die inside of a blender. It's the most painless and quickest way to die in The Zone, and the cleanest. Your body would be torn apart in a second by countless gravitational pulls, all centered on you, leaving nothing but a red circle outside of its perimeter.
