《Soccer/Football Imagines》Erik Durm [~] Graveyard Shift

Working night shifts at a café was not how you imagined your years at college to be. Then again, you had hoped that your parents would actually help you pay for college. The bill sitting on your table in your apartment said differently. Sighing, you continued reading through the book. You were working towards becoming a physical therapist.
The bell rung, signifying someone came into the café. You slid the book to the side and turned to look at the person who had walked through the door. Glancing at the clock, you read the time three am. The guy turned to look at you. He was cute, you gave him that much. He had blond hair which was gelled up and swept to the side. His eyes were crystalline and his cheeks looked naturally pink.
"Can I help you?" you asked, leaning over the counter.
"Uh, yeah," the guy said. He glanced over the menu behind you before ordering a coffee.
"That'll be $3.89," you stated, ringing him up. He handed you the money and you handed him back his change. "Name?"
"Erik," he replied.
"It'll just be a few seconds, Erik," you stated, turning to work at the counter. You easily made the coffee and walked over to the other countertop. Ringing the bell, you called Erik over. He smiled at you and took the coffee from your hands.
"Thank you," he said. You returned to the register and picked up your textbook, continuing your notes. As you finished the chapter, Erik reappeared at the desk.
"Yes?" you asked.
"What are you reading?" he questioned.
"Human Anatomy: The Muscular System," you stated, checking the cover.
"You're a student?"
"Yeah, at the university down the street. I'm studying to be a physical therapist," you responded.

"Cool, you're an undergrad?"
"Yeah, twenty one year's young," you smiled. "What do you do?"
"Play football," he said.
"For a college? Or are you one of those guys who just passes a ball around in the park?"
"Neither actually," he replied, "Ever heard of Borussia Dortmund?"
"I grew up watching them," you stated, "but I haven't watched any matches in years. I've been too busy with school and work."
"You should watch them," Erik smiled.
"I would watch them while I work but as you can see, there's no TV in here," you motioned around you. The dusty, old café just had foggy windows, a bookshelf, and a few tables.
"Here," Erik replied, pulling out his phone. He pulled up a YouTube clip of a game Borussia Dortmund recently played and gave it to you. You watched the highlights, which included substitutions.
"And Dortmund is making their first substitution, Erik Durm." Looking at the screen, you were surprised to see a familiar face enter the pitch.
"No way," you gasped, looking up at Erik. "That's really cool."
"Thanks, you aren't going to go all fan girl are you? I don't want to brag but most people do," Erik smirked, leaning on the counter. His attempt to flirt failed when his arm slipped off the counter, causing Erik to fall down.
"Are you okay?" you giggled, staring down at the footballer. Going around the counter, you helped the German up.
"I think my ego's bruised more than my butt," he sighed, rubbing the back of his neck. "As you can tell, flirting is not my strong suit," he laughed nervously.
"Well that's because you're doing it all wrong. No self-respecting girl is going to want to go out with a guy who thinks he's the best thing ever," you smiled.

"Guess I don't have the best teacher then. That's work all the time for my teammates."
"You look too innocent to flirt like that. Also, falling on your ass doesn't really help flirting," you smiled, chuckling to yourself. Erik laughed nervously.
"How do I flirt then?" he asked.
"Well, first of all don't make yourself the selling point, make it all about her," you smiled to yourself, thinking he was the cutest guy you had ever met.
"And then after that?"
"Uh, I don't know play out her interests? Ever girl is different," you stated, cleaning up the countertop.
"If it's not too much, could I practice on you?" Erik stated, leaning on the counter.
"Sure, I guess. I have nothing better to do anyways. Finished all my homework," you explained.
"So, what's your name? You know mine so I think it's fair that I know yours."
"(Y/N)," you winked.
"That's a beautiful name. What does it mean?"
"I'm not sure," you replied.
"It must mean goddess then, or beautiful," he winked. You turned around.
"Oh really, and why would you say that?" you flirted back.
"Well because the girl who has such a name is standing in front of me. And she's the most beautiful girl I've ever seen. Her eyes shine like gems in the moonlight and her skin looks like porcelain. But, she has a tongue like a viper which is incredibly hot," Erik smirked.
"Really," the word rolled right off your tongue. "You know I have this dilemma, maybe you could help me out," you inquired.
"Sure, lay it on me," Erik winked.
"There's this guy. And he's incredibly handsome. I think the way he falls down is absolutely adorable. He plays football, very well from what he's told me. His blond hair makes me want to run my fingers through it all night long and his pink cheeks are so cute. His wink could use work but I think he's worth a shot. What should I do?" you told Erik, smiling like a Cheshire cat.
"Well, if I'm being honest, I think you should go on a date with this guy. He seems amazingly dorky," Erik flirted.
"Hmm, I don't know if he'll go for me. I'm just a girl working at a café during the graveyard shift," you sighed dramatically.
"Well I think he's an idiot if he doesn't go for you," Erik smirked, inching closer. You did as well. "And if he doesn't, I'll happily step in." Erik closed the gap between the two of you. A few seconds passed before you two had to back up for air. "How was that flirting?"
"Hmm, could use a little work, especially the kiss," you smiled. Erik happily complied.

The Blight
Ten years ago, the Blight appeared. A beautiful forest, where the leaves and animals glowed brilliantly at night. It became a wonder of the entire world, and people began venturing from across the continent to visit it. No one took it any more seriously than that, not in the beginning. Then the disappearances started. At first, it was just farm animals and pets. Then, hunters and travelers close to dusk. By the time children started disappearing from villages, it was too late to do anything. The Blight was spreading, from tree to tree like a sickness, crawling out in all directions. The animals and beasts inside it changed as well. They grew larger, stronger, and more ferocious than anything seen before. Simple farm animals became horrific monsters, distorted to disgusting proportions and violently spreading chaos out from the forest. When the first reports came in of infected animals dragging people alive off into the forest... then the real panic began. Towns fell to the Blight, then cities. Armies were sent to push it back, and were overrun. Heroes and legends ventured out, to no avail. Soon, it was public knowledge to all: Those who entered the forest, never returned. ...So what happens when a young boy comes out of the forest, carrying nothing but a dagger and remembering nothing but his own name?
