《Soccer/Football Imagines》Christian Eriksen [~] I Love You

You and Christian walked down the beach hand in hand. You had both gotten time off from your busy schedules to take a short vacation. The sun was starting to set as you both continued down the beach. There was relatively no one out on the beach except for a few surfers and a small family in the corner. You smiled as the warm ocean breeze blew through your long hair.
"I'm glad we got time off, it's so beautiful here," you commented.
"It is," your boyfriend agreed, kissing your forehead. You both hiked up a small dune to watch the sun set in the distant horizon. You leaned onto his shoulder just enjoying the peace. Everything seemed right with the world in that moment. "(Y/N), I have to tell you something," Christian sighed.
"Hmm?" you asked, looking up at Christian's clouded eyes. You could see the gears turning in his head. That scared you. "What's wrong?" you questioned, now concerned.
"It's-it's a bit complicated," Christian sighed, running a hand through his hair.
"You know that I love you right? You can tell me anything, Christian," you assured your boyfriend. Before your boyfriend could get out what he was going to tell you, a crack of thunder interrupted him. Followed by rain, downpour, which soaked you to the bone within three seconds. Grabbing your hand, Christian rushed out of the rain and towards the only source of cover for half a mile, the bathroom shack.
Luckily, it was well maintained and there was an awning over the entrance, which you and Christian hid under, looking out at the sheet of water falling from the sky. You could barely hear yourself think. "Was it supposed to rain today?" you shouted at Christian.
"Not that I knew of," he shouted back, the rain droplets causing a tremendous crash on the ceiling of the shack. The sun set and the two of you sat in a shack, soaked to the bone. The wind started to pick up, causing you to shiver. Pulling you into a hug, Christian and you shared body warmth as the storm continued.

"Well, all didn't go as planned, eh?" he smiled, looking down at you. Peeking up from his warm chest, your eyes locked.
"What was it that you wanted to tell me?" you stated, remembering the beginning of your earlier conversation. Christian looked away for a second, seeming to weigh the pros and cons of telling you whatever secret he held tightly.
"It involves us, our relationship. We've been going out for eight months now—"
"—You're not breaking up with me, are you?" you asked, scared of the answer.
"No, no, no, no! Complete opposite actually," he sighed.
"Just tell me what's going on, Christian, the suspense is killing me," you revealed.
"Ok. I just needed to tell you . . . I . . . love . . . you," Christian stated, before flinching when your eyes locked with his again. "I love you, (Y/N)." He looked away, his cheeks tinted red and his body obviously tense. Grabbing his hand in yours, you held one of his cheeks in your hand, pushing his eyes to lock with yours once again.
"I love you too, Christian," you smiled.
"Really?" he questioned.
"If I didn't, why would I still be sitting here with you?" you joked.
"I was just afraid that you wouldn't feel the same way too. Sometimes when you tell a girl you love her, she just runs away. I didn't want to scare you away. I love you too much to do that," Christian blushed, giving him an innocent look about him.
"I'm not going to run away," you assured.
"Promise?" he asked.
"Promise," you affirmed, connecting your pinkies in a truce. Smiling, you pulled Christian into a kiss. He quickly responded. There the two of you sat, sharing a kiss in the rain. Pulling away slowly, you rested your head on his shoulder. "Believe me yet?"

"Hmm, it might take another kiss," he smirked. A few kisses later, the two of you started to walk back to your parked car. The storm had passed and cleared, revealing the night sky.
"The stars are so pretty," you commented, staring up at the constellations.
"Not as pretty as you," Christian interjected.
"You are so cliché," you teased, poking his side. Retaliating, Christian poked you back. The poking war continued as the two of you neared the car. Having the upper hand, Christian swooped you into his arms bridal style and carried you to the car. "Put me down!" you complained.
"Only if you admit that I won," Christian winked.
"But I won until you cheated!" you responded in a child-like manner.
"I didn't cheat!" The banter continued all the way up to the car.
"I won't kiss you until you admit that you are wrong," you pouted. Christian gasped dramatically.
"You wouldn't dare," he replied, eyeing your lips.
"Try me," you challenged. Christian responded by trying to kiss you. You blocked his lips with your hands, clucking your tongue in a scolding manner. Furrowing his eyebrows in frustration, Christian swooped in for attempt #2. After that failed, Christian took to repeatedly kissing you. You laughed at his attempts, having yet to work. "Christian," you giggled.
He didn't let up and successfully evaded your hands before planting a kiss on your lips. You smiled into the kiss as Christian set you on the hood of the car. Your butt now soaked, you jumped up. "Woops," he laughed, rubbing the back of his neck.
"Way to ruin the moment Eriksen!" you teased. Unlocking the car, you both hopped in. "My butt is all wet," you whined.
"You could always take off your shorts," Christian winked.
"Shut up and drive," you responded. Christian laughed to himself before backing up out of the parking space. Driving back to your hotel, Christian took your hand in his. Smiling widely, the two of you drove off into the distance, enjoying each other's company.
