SEASON 5 Ep: 14

New New York

If Blaine had to admit, he wasn't that surprised to see Sam sitting playing video games. It's all the guy did nowadays. Haley was busy with 5 classes at NYU and a job, she only spent her spare time with him, and she was on the lookout for a place for the two of them.

"Bro, just completed Aqua Park and Millennium Mines. Now I'm ruling Karts and Coasters, Rollercoaster Tycoon, it's amazing!" Sam said, keeping his eyes on the tv.

"Sam, you've been sitting there since I left this morning. You've basically been sitting in the same exact spot for months." Blaine said, concerned.

"Yeah, well Kurt's fancy wire chairs hurt my back so this thing's the only thing that's comfortable." Sam said.

"Look. Kurt and I have been talking and we-we just."

"You want me and Haley to move out?" Sam interrupted, quite bluntly. "I knew it. Well you know what? Santana got to stay here forever!"

"We don't want you guys to move out, per se, although it's not the worst idea in the world. We're just - we're worried about you man. We know work has been slow." Blaine explained gently.

"Try non-existent! Okay? I've had zero modelling auditions. I can't even get my agent on the phone, all I get is her lazy assistant Pam who's like maybe I should cut my hair because I look like a dirty hippie."

"Well maybe you should?" Blaine suggested.

"But I like it! I think Haley does too..." Sam protested.

"Besides, Mr. Schue said that we shouldn't care what people think and we should just be ourselves, what a load of crap huh?"

"Well, Mr. Schue also said that we should face our fears, remember that one? Buddy I know this is frustrating." Blaine added, gently.

"Maybe Haley and I shouldn't have even come here. I hate New York. It's crowded and loud, and it smells like garbage and everybody here is basically paid to be rude to you. I really miss seeing Haley. I barely see her, I only see her a few times a week. I really miss her." Sam explained, disheartened.

"Alright, get up. I don't want to watch you waste away here when there's so much to do out there. Put on a clean shirt. That ones got five kinds of stains on it. Give Haley a call, and tell her to meet us at the subway."

"We're gonna sing in Times Square." Blaine announced, as Haley smiled, while Sam frowned.

{BEST DAY OF MY LIFE}

"Hey, I think it's time you conquered this city." Blaine said, patting Sam on the back as they finished.

"I don't get why they call it Times Square, I don't see any clocks." Sam pointed out, confused.

"I dunno either baby...but some things don't make sense." Haley stated, laughing as he wrapped his arms around her.

----

"Yeah that computer cost over one thousand bucks, my credit card was in there, my phone-." Artie spoke into Haley's phone to the police, since he had gotten mugged.

"Oh tell them he was on crutches!" Haley added, as Artie nodded.

"Blaine, do you have to use the soda stream right now? Artie's in a very fragile state!" Kurt explained, rolling his eyes. "Sorry about him, he needs his bubbles."

"Hey Rachel! Do you want a homemade, sugar-free, sparkling soda?" Blaine asked Rachel, who had just come in the door.

"Oh, no thanks. The carbonation's bad for my vocal chords. But you know what I will take? Just some like, hot water with some lemon, thank you so much!" Rachel smiled.

"Rach, you missed it. Artie was mugged on the subway and now it's like an episode of SUV up in here." Kurt said.

"What?" Rachel asked shocked.

"Except, not at all, I wasn't touched, I was robbed." Artie corrected, sighing.

"Blaine I'm gonna throw that thing out the window!" Kurt said, unplugging the soda stream, while Rachel talked to Artie.

"When I first moved to New York, I gave this homeless person ten dollars when I just meant to give him one and when I asked for it back, everyone hissed and booed at me. I felt so violated and vulnerable." Rachel explained.

"Oh wait, so you were out nine dollars?" Artie asked, unimpressed.

"That isn't a loss Rachel." Haley commented. "Who needed it more, you or the homeless man?"

"But the next day, I just got right back on that subway. Because overcoming obstacles like that is what makes you a true New Yorker." Rachel explained, smiling.

She went on to complain about a drink Blaine offered her, until Artie finally burst out in anger. "You know, Rachel? Don't lecture me about being a real New Yorker with your lemon water and your chauffeured limousine, you're not even a real person anymore!" He yelled, as he wheeled towards the door. "Now if you'll excuse me, I have to go figure out how to put my whole life back together."

"Wait, I'll come with you." Haley ran, after Artie as the two left. "I've got to meet a person about an apartment anyways."

----

Haley was helping Blaine out with yellow tape, when Sam walked in.

"Is that one of those outlines the police use? Did someone die here?" Sam asked, confused and panicked.

"Sam, no one died here." Haley said, as she walked up to him. "Wow someone finally got their hair cut!" She explained as she looked at his hair. "You look good, really hot." She commented, as he smiled.

"Thanks, Hay." Sam replied, pulling her into a hug. "Well, thanks to you guys, I got it cut and bursting with my newfound New York City confidence, I went out and booked my first modelling gig!"

"I'm so proud of you baby!" Haley squealed, as Blaine patted him on the back. "Congratulations man, what's it for?" Blaine asked.

"Bubble!" Sam exclaimed, very enthusiastically.

"What?" Haley asked, as Blaine tilted his head to the side. "Bubble?" He asked.

"Booty contouring underwear fo rman. Thanks to Bubble, men can have that sexy, round, onion booty they've always dreamed of." Sam explained.

"I mean...that's great." Haley smiled, nudging Blaine, so he smiled.

"Here buddy, I got you a free pair." Sam said, throwing Blaine a pair.

"Uh-thanks, I can't wait to show Kurt."

"And the good news keeps on coming my brother, I... am moving out!"

"Woah, woah, woah! You're moving?" Blaine asked.

"Wait, but...what? I just got us a place" Haley protested, anxiously.

"Well the agency's put me up in an apartment with a bunch of other models. I'm stoked, it's my own place, kind of....You know, I'm not gonna be taking up any more room on the couch, and it's closer to NYI than here, so it's a big plus." Sam explained.

"Wait, Sam, you're going to visit everyone, including me right?" Haley asked.

"Yeah, if I have time. But I might be traveling to Paris and Milan every week! Who knows?"

"That's amazing man!" Blaine said.

"Yeah, really amazing." Haley muttered, as she held back her tears.

----

Haley sat with Elliott in his apartment when they heard a very loud knock at the door.

"Who is it?" Elliott yelled, as Haley shrugged.

"It's Blaine!" The voice shouted, frustrated.

"Blaine are you okay?" Haley asked as Blaine entered in an angry range.

"No, I'm not. We need to talk." He said looking at Elliott. "I don't have your number, I don't have your email and we're not friends on Facebook because I made a point of waiting for you to friend me- which you never did by the way - so I'm here face to face, ready to hear you admit it."

"Admit what?" Elliott asked, clueless to what Blaine was angry about.

"That you're trying to steal Kurt away from me Starchild Gilbert!"

"Dude, calm down." Haley called out.

" What are you talking about?" Elliott laughed.

"Please, I was onto you the second I saw that weird cinnamon roll selfie you took months ago. You guys posted that, remember? I get to New York and all of a sudden it's 'Elliott thinks this' and 'Elliott thinks that' and 'Elliott's hair is so full and thick that he doesn't have to rely on hair gel! Well I may not be a supercool, steampunk, glitter-rock vampire with tats and guyliner, but you know what? I love Kurt! I love him! He's my fiance not yours, so back off!" Blaine exclaimed.

"Okay, are you done?" Elliott asked, giving Blaine his guitar. "Take this, it's kinda like a body pillow. I think it's gonna calm you down."

"Look, Blaine, I'm not after Kurt, we're just friends. Don't get me wrong, he's a cute guy but I don't think of him that way. And even if I did, Kurt loves you, I mean he doesn't shut up about you , like ever!"

"I'm sorry, I don't know what's going on with me. It's just, we've been apart for such a long time and now that I'm finally here, I just want to catch up with him, I just want to make it real. And the more I try-"

"The more it pushes him away? Well maybe you should stop trying. I mean, New York is a really crowded space and people need a little more space to breathe here than usual."

Blaine sighed, as Haley brought him into a hug.

----

Haley had moved into the apartment that her and Sam were supposed to live in together.

"I was like...I mean, I may as well just move in anyways. It's not a bad idea right?" Haley asked, as she talked to Santana on the phone, while unpacking boxes.

"No, if Trouts is that stupid, it's not. He'll come around eventually." Santana replied.

"Well, I miss him, and I guess I feel hurt." Haley sighed.

"I know Hay, he's not going to leave you. Don't lie, I can hear the insecurity and anxiety in your voice." Santana pointed out before Haley could fake anything.

"Well you got that right Tana."

"You're going to be okay Hay, just tell me if I need to come and go all Lima Heights, okay?"

"Okay, sounds good, I'll see you in a few weeks for Opening Night?"

"You got it." Santana said hanging up.

Haley sighed, as she wiped her tears, continuing to unpack the boxes, and paint the walls. She heard someone knock on the door.

"I have no idea who that could be at 11:30." She muttered, opening the door to reveal Sam.

"Sam? What are you doing here? I thought you moved in with those models..." She trailed off, as he pressed his lips to hers.

"No, it was too crazy. I had a weird roommate named Sam as well, and she had drugs..." He said, as Haley interjected.

"Wait, she? And drugs?" Haley asked, sounding jealous and confused.

"It doesn't matter Hay. I'm here. And I'm wanting to move in if that's okay with you?" Sam asked, as she smiled.

"It totally is Sam." She said, as he wrapped her into a hug.

"Are you doing okay? You seemed so upset earlier."

"Yeah, totally, I'm fine. Just anxious, and I was insecure..." She sighed, as she sat down on the couch.

"I'm sorry...I didn't consider us before making the decisions, I was stupid." Sam looked down at his lap.

"You weren't stupid, it was in the moment. I'll get over it eventually. Everything is just happening rather very quickly. We're both adjusting." Haley explained, as he nodded.

"Yeah and I believe we'll be just fine." He muttered, leaning down to capture her lips in his, as the kiss began to get more heated. Things began to escalate.

"Okay, Sam?" Haley hummed in satisfaction, as he kissed down her neck. "To the bedroom."

"Sounds like a plan." He smirked, as he carried her to their bedroom.

Haley squealed as he placed her on the bed before he got on beside her.

"I love you so much." She whispered as she kissed down his neck. She heard him hum in response.

"I love you too. So much." Sam finally replied as she smirked, before letting things escalate.

----

Mercedes had arrived in New York and had bought an apartment with two rooms, one which Blaine was renting out.

"I'm so happy that Mercedes is here!" Rachel exclaimed.

"Well technically she's not here, which is why we're doing all the work." Kurt glared, at an oblivious Rachel.

"She's inside with Sam, and Haley." Blaine pointed out.

"I really wish I could be helping you guys." Artie added.

'Don't worry about it Artie, we know you'd help." Kurt assured him. "Rachel on the other hand, I don't know."

"What? I'm texting my publicist. That was a joke but I do have to go!" Rachel explained. "Are we still on tonight for our annual Monday night dinner? Because it's my only night off dinner!"

"Let's do a potluck. I'm not cooking for everyone." Kurt called after her.

"I'll help." Haley added.

"I'm so excited! This is gonna be a new tradition! I'm gonna go and get pies now for everyone! Taxi! Taxi! Hey!" Rachel yelled, hailing a taxi.

"God, I love her style." Blaine sighed, amused

"God, I need a break." Kurt muttered, frustrated.
