SEASON 5 EP 7
PUPPET MASTER
••••
While the Glee kids were waiting, they fooled around playing on the instruments. Blaine walked inside,
no one even noticing, until he clapped his hands and spoke louder.
"Hey, Guys! Guys... New Directions! New Directions! Guys! Hey! I just ran into Mr. Schue, and he's gonna be stuck in his classroom for the rest of the afternoon because of some school board inspection thing, but he still wanted us to meet so we can start working on ideas for Nationals." Blaine explained.
"Beyonce!" Unique said, causing everyone to break, shouting their suggestions and ideas over one another."
"This is anarchy! We can't... We can't all just shout at the same time. That's better. I have some ideas already. I'm thinking that the music needs to be really simple, so we can really highlight our voices. No guitars, or nothing electronic. We go with a simple piano arrangement. Which I could play." Blaine
continued.
"I'm assuming you're singing lead?" Kitty asked, crossing her arms.
"Well, I am a senior, and this is my last go at it." Blaine answered.
"Oh look everyone! It's berry 2.0!" Haley scoffed sarcastically.
"We need to win this!" Blaine protested.
"You think that taking the lead will increase our chances?" Haley spat back.
"Well, feels like North Korea up in here." Tina commented.
"Okay, forget the piano. Forget all the music. We could just do, hum, acappella, that always works."
"Deja Warblers. Should we wear matching blazers too?" Unique teased.
"Let's take it back.... What was wrong with the guitars?" Sam asked.
"Nothing, why can't you guys just stop resisting me for a second, and just go with me?" Protested Blaine.
"Okay, Blaine Jong-il." Tina scoffed as Haley and Sam laughed.
"Yes! Blaine Jong-il!"
"I am not trying to be bossy." Blaine argued.
"The trying though." Haley muttered. "You weren't trying?? Really Blaine?"
"I am trying to give the benefit of my experience. I have won more show choir competitions than anyone
in this room."
"How dare you!" Haley said, just as offended as everyone else in the room.
"You suck." Ryder coughed sarcastically.
"Acapella is worth a shot. Let's do it." Jake suggested

"Then you two can have fun in your little barbershop couplet while the rest of us discuss something good." Unique said.
"Fine." Blaine scoffed, collecting his stuff, and going to sit at the small sofa in Mr. Schue's office. "You don't want my help then I am not gonna give it."
"Looks like somebody's man-strating." Kitty commented, as Blaine pouted.
"I heard that."
----
"Dance has never been our strong suit, but I think with Jake and Haley's help, we can really kick it up a notch." Mr. Schue said during their next glee meeting. "Jake?"
They watched as Jake moved to take a seat at, what Haley called the very back of the room. He ignored all of them, crossing his arms, unamusingly.
"What's the point?" He asked.
"I'm sorry?" Mr. Schue asked, frowning.
"Seriously, what is the point. I could choreograph a sick dance, none of you can keep up with me."
"Are you kidding me, Jake? I was the one who's been doing most of the choreography for the past week. Even Tina and Artie can pick it up." Haley defended herself.
"You are such a conceited jerk." Haley spat.
"I'm not conceited, I'm bored." Jake corrected her, as he closed his eyes.
"Please, we've seen your dance moves. They're fine, not epic."
"Oh, you want to see epic? Give me a beat." Jake called, but fell asleep before he could do anything.

Later on, Haley sat in the choir room, tears falling, as she replayed her and Sam's last argument in her head.
"Okay, I'm merely admitting that I lied." Haley said, as Sam looked down at her confused.
"What do you mean?" He asked, as he held onto her hands to stop her from playing with them.
"When we talked about you pursuing modelling last week. I lied, about 50% of my answer." She explained, as Sam frowned.
"Go on. I need more, Hay." He encouraged Haley to go on.
"I'm insecure okay? Sure we're engaged....but what happens if you make it successfully in your career as a model, and you keep meeting people...and all you can tell them is that you have a fiance, or wife whenever you make it big in the industry... that isn't worth much?" She asked, trying to formulate her concerns and be vulnerable.

"Haley..." He sighed as he brought her into a hug. "You don't have to worry about that. We're engaged, okay. I'm not going to cheat."
"You aren't even acknowledging the fact that I'm insecure." She pointed out. "You're going to meet all these hotter models and photographers. Are you really understanding the whole job?"
"Yes, Haley I am." He started to raise his voice. "I think it's you who isn't understanding it." He finished.
"You know what, Sam? I can't argue about this right now." Haley decided as she pulled away, tears falling as she walked off.
•
"What a failed conversation." She muttered, wiping her tears. No matter her insecurity, Sam didn't seem to understand, yet he stated she was the one who didn't. "I mean I was merely voicing my concerns." She continued to talk to herself, falling into an unconscious sleep.
She woke up, frowning. She was definitely in a dream, so she believed. She looked down to see herself in a ballgown.
"Is this the freaking 1800s?" She muttered searching desperately for a mirror. She gasped, she was wearing a ballgown, and had a diamond necklace on and her hair was in a braided bun.
"Literally, looks like I've taken a ride into the Bridgerton books." She mumbled, walking down the long hallway to the big doors.
As she opened them, she was met by a familiar sight. "Sam." She sighed, as he looked down at her. "You were right. I'm sorry about not acknowledging your concerns. I get why you would be insecure.." He smiled, as she smiled back, as he lead them into the ballroom.
"Thank you." She sighed, as he pulled her into his arms, as they waltzed around the ballroom.
Haley looked around frowning, to see the Glee kids all dressed up and waltzing. "Wait a minute." She muttered...
"Baby. I have a song I want to sing." Sam said, pulling away to play her a song.
{STILL FALLING FOR YOU-SUNG BY SAM EVANS & HALEY ALDRIN}
They sang as they waltzed after he had played the guitar.
Haley was so entranced in her dream, that she screamed when someone woke her up..
"Haley, Haley!" Artie said.
"WHAT?!" She screamed, as Artie plugged his ears.
"You were sleeping." Artie said.
"Oh I was? What time is it?" Haley asked, still in a daze.
"3:30."
"Okay, perfect, thanks." She said running out of the room.
She saw Sam walking out of the boys locker room. They slowly made their way to each other.
She decided to speak first. "I'm so sorry. I freaked out." She apologized, as he shook his head.
"No, Hay, I did. You are valid for feeling insecure. I understand that you feel that way. I was just too annoyed to realize you were voicing your concerns." Sam said, pulling her into a hug. "I'm sorry."
"It's fine. I know we will figure it out in the end." Haley sighed.
"I love you." Sam assured her, leaning down to press a kiss to her lips.
"I love you too, Sam, and I'm eagerly anticipating our wedding in less than a year." Haley replied as they pulled away.
"Me too, baby, me too." Sam agreed, as both of them giggled.
"I've already started planning moodboards, with Santana's help." Haley added.
"Oh, is that so?" Sam smirked.
"Yeah, you better believe it. You know that I'm a perfectionist. I need things to be organized and perfect." Haley replied.
"It will be." Sam assured her, as they walked out of the school, hands intertwined.
----
"Guys, I just wanted to apologize to all of you." Blaine said. "I've been a bit controlling lately and it's not cool. I've made some changes though and I've learned that sometimes you just need to let go. Cut the strings, so to speak."
"I bet you'll still be bossy as hell." Kitty said, causing Blaine to shake his head.
"Actually, I hope to be more of a leader, as opposed to being just bossy, Kitty. So to celebrate this new laissez-faire Blaine, I've made some felt peace offerings. Voila."
Everyone gathered around the box to grab their look alike puppet.
"Oh look it's us." Haley said as her and Sam played with their puppets.
"You are looking hot." Sam said, making his puppet, attempt to shove it's hand up Haley's puppet's dress.
"Oh no...No." Haley said. "You aren't shoving your hand up my puppet's dress. You do realize that this is already creepy as it is."
"I mean..." Sam smirked at her. "I could always do more at home." He hinted as she laughed.
"You little pervert!" She squealed, hitting him playfully as he wrapped his arms around her.

Luckily for him, as the self-proclaimed best thief in the world, his bag of tricks runs deep. ............ Hi Everyone, If you want to learn a little bit more about the book before deciding whether to read it, I've included a bullet point list of some of the things that the story features: -A strong but not overpowered protagonist. -Magic -Characters that make reasonable decisions and have more personality than a box of cardboard. -A standard litrpg progression with plenty of level ups and blue screens. -A highly customizable Skill system. For example, with enough Skill Points, Mana Bolt can be upgraded to shoot out multiple orbs at once, follow targets to become undodgeable, or simply hit harder. They’re not mustache-twirling levels of evil, but they’re no stranger to crime. -The apocalypse -Frequent updates

A Fractal Divide
Lesivar is a city in ascendancy. With recent innovations in magical crafting, the common people are experiencing a boom in comfort and wealth. The nobility, long used to being the stewards of knowledge and power, struggle to adapt to the new world in which they find themselves. A precarious balance has been maintained throughout, but forces stir beneath the surface threatening to send the city spiraling into chaos. This is my first attempt at writing anything longer than a short story, and I welcome any feedback or corrections. I'm posting this as I write, with each chapter going live upon completion. My current pace is about a chapter a day, which I expect to take my through the end of November. From there, I'm shooting for a chapter every two-three days until the book is completed, along with an editing pass of what is already up. I'm planning on three POV characters with unique insight into the story as it unfolds. Each chapter will contain only one POV. [participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge]

Jalan Suram : The 100 Fire Holders
"Why us?" Still staring at the unusually stationary fire of the candle he was holding, Agung voiced the questions in our mind. "Out of 2 million people living in this city, why are we the chosen ones?" As if on cue, the eerie laughter of children could be heard above us. Holding our own candle tightly, we resolved to ignore them and continued our discussion. It was a matter of life or death after all. More than half of the initial participants had fallen and the building became more crowded as the result. There were now more ghosts than the living and each step was filled with danger from the unknown. Crowded didn't exactly mean safe. As more and more variables were added to the dangerous ritual, the higher the risk of death.
