《Falling (A Sam Evans Fan Fiction)》Guilty Pleasures

"I should be hearing about now if I got accepted into Columbia or NYU." Haley said, as her and Sam were standing at his locker.
"I'm sure you'll be accepted. You haven't heard anything?" Sam asked looking down at her as she shrugged.
"Not yet. Honestly, what happens if I don't even get in?" She asked, her voice cracking.
"Don't think about that yet, Hay. They'd be crazy not to accept you. And even if you don't get in, you can reapply." He reassured her, bringing her into a hug, as Blaine approached them.
"Here. Don't tell anyone and you don't have to thank me." Blaine smiled, giving Sam fifty bucks. Both of them frowned.
"Dude, what are you doing?" Sam asked, pushing the money back towards Blaine.
"It's only fifty bucks, take the money. I know what you're up to and it has to stop." Blaine said.
"Um...Blaine, what are you talking about?" Haley asked.
"Last week I found a shortcut between my locker and the parking lot, walking through the cafeteria cuts fifteen seconds from my daily routine and yesterday I saw something. Look, I know your dad's been struggling and I just want to help. Hunger's a big problem in this country, but so is obesity which is confusing." Blaine explained.
Looking at Sam as he nodded, Haley reached her hand up to stop Blaine from rambling. "Okay, can you promise you can keep a secret?"
"Yeah of course." Blaine said.
"It's art." Haley smiled, as Sam led them to the art room.
"So...what do you think?" Sam as Blaine looked through Sam's portraits.
"Are these macaroni portraits?" Blaine asked.
"They're my guilty pleasure. My art teacher thinks I'm some sort of genius." Sam explained.
"Look, he even did me." Haley said gesturing to her portrait, proudly.
"Is that Emma Stone?" Blaine asked.
"Yeah, and that's LeAnne Rimes, Ralph Macchio, those guys from Duck Dynasty and I even did uh - Kurt." Sam explained.
"The macaroni really captures him." Blaine sighed, quietly. "Thank you for sharing this with me, this is really incredible."
"Woah, woah, woah! Not so fast! Now it's your turns." Sam said, stopping Haley and Blaine from leaving.
"For what?" Haley asked, frowning.
"For your guilty pleasures."
"I-I don't have a guilty pleasure." Blaine insisted.
Rolling his eyes, Sam was persistent in getting them to admit their guilty pleasures. "Liars. Come on, you really think I don't know you that well? Blaine, you're doing your little unconvincing laugh and Haley, you are avoiding eye contact, which means your lying. Everyone's got that one thing that they like that they're so ashamed of, that they refuse to admit it to anybody."
"I love... Wham. they're like my favorite band of all time." Blaine said, awkwardly trying to come up with a cover story.

Both guys turned to Haley who was still avoiding eye contact, and looked down at her phone. "Oh, look, I have to go now." She said making a run towards the door taking Tina down with her. "Oof." Haley sighed, getting up, and helping Tina up, as they laughed and apologized to each other.
Tina then went on to announce that Glee Club was cancelled due to Mr. Schue being sick.
"Hey, uh- just curious, are you gonna go over to his house and straddle him whilst he's passed out and rub some ointment on his chest?" Sam teased as she rolled her eyes.
"That was a phase." Tina said, annoyed. "Anyways, don't bother coming to Glee Club this week. It's cancelled."
"Not necessarily. I have an idea" Blaine said, turning to look at Haley and Sam.
----
The rest of the Glee kids were surprised to see only Sam, Haley and Blaine waiting for them in the choir room later on.
"Why are we here? I thought Mr. Schue was sick?" Kitty spoke up.
"Oh come on guys! Regionals is only a few weeks away and even without an advisor, we can't afford to miss one week of preparation." Blaine said, smiling, trying to brighten the mood.
"Which is why Blaine, Haley and I have asked you to meet us here. We've come up with an assignment for this week." Sam explained. "Haley, if you would continue?" He asked, as she smiled, despite her anxiety about being accepted into university.
"Yes!" She said, as she wrote 'guilty pleasures' on the whiteboard.
"I was hoping it would be songs about sweaters." Brittany commented.
"Come on! We all have some musical shame!" Sam said, as everyone remained emotionless.
"Yeah! You know, that secret that we dare not speak but when it comes on the radio you can't help but sing and dance along." Haley added, as Blaine and Sam nodded.
"Yeah and we're supposed to sing one of those for Regionals?" Jake asked.
"No, Sam, Haley and I were talking earlier, just like, shooting the crap like three bros do, you know? And we felt really safe with each other. So we decided to reveal our guilty pleasures." Blaine explained.
"And felt amazing, like letting go of this big secret made me feel so good!" Sam said.
"Okay, then why don't you three geniuses go first?" Jake suggested.
"Absolutely." Haley said.
"Well we thought instead of telling you, we could show you!" Blaine grinned, as Sam, and Haley unzipped their hoodies to show off their 'choose life' T-shirts to the group.
{WAKE ME UP BEFORE YOU GO-GO}
----
Haley sent Sam a thumbs up as he smiled at her, waiting nervously in the front of the choir room.
Blaine sent Sam a nod, letting him know, he could speak.

"I love Barry Manilow." Sam admitted. "I mean, not just the Barry Manilow Love on Ice Tour but I think he's an amazing songwriter and performer and I also believe he's underappreciated, has amazing hair and has done a hell of a lot of good for this world for his light rock talent. This is who I am and I make no apologies."

Everyone got up to sing and dance with him as he sang his guilty pleasure song. After he finished, Haley ran up to him, giving him a hug. "Honestly that was so hot, I'm proud of you." She whispered as he smiled, kissing her cheek and moving to sit down.
"That was so brave." Blaine said.
"You've given me the courage to stand...while sit in front of my peers and proudly state that I'm a Fanilow as well." Artie admitted.
"Guys, I like him too. Music aside, the guy's got style. All right, if it was '79, I'd be rocking the Manilow centre part instead of the Beiber." Ryder said.
"Are you guys kidding? You guys really love Barry, huh?" Sam asked.
"Dude, everyone loves Barry." Blaine said. "But thank you for making us finally say it out loud."
----
Haley sat standing in the wings of the stage waiting to sing.
"Now please welcome Haley Aldrin!" Blaine and Sam announced, as she walked onto the stage dressed like Eponine from Les Miserables.
"Thanks, boys. That's right, my top guilty pleasure is Les Miserables. Rumour has it it was the first musical I knew a fair majority of the words to growing up. Anyways, enough speaking, let's get to it. Hit it!"
{ON MY OWN-SUNG BY HALEY ALDRIN}-okay guys don't come after me, I know Rachel sang this, but Haley is allowed to as well.
After she finished, she wiped her tears, laughing. Everyone clapped and cheered.
"Oh, god, I'm crying." Tina said, wiping her tears.
"That was absolutely beautiful." Unique also crying.
"Guys, I'm not crying, I'm just allergic to the lights." Sam said, looking up, as everyone laughed.
"Oh, stop it, you love it, you love me." Haley said, wiping the tears that continued to fall.
"Well, let's give it up for Haley!" Blaine announced, clearly emotional.
"Guys I really didn't mean to make you all emotional!" Haley said, and tears continued to fall.
As everyone clapped again, and wiped their tears, laughing and smiling as Sam brought her into a hug.
----
After he gathered up enough courage, Blaine sat playing the piano while singing Phil Collins' "Against All Odds."
Everyone clapped, as Blaine finished.
"So, who exactly was that song for Blaine?" Tina asked.
"Stop being so insensitive, Tina!" Haley scolded as Tina rolled her eyes.
"Whatever mom." She replied back.
"Uh it was for Kurt, obviously. The breakup is still a fresh wound. But it's really about the musical genius of Phil Collins, and like any musical genius of his time, when you dominate that period with such success, people tend to make fun of you and put you down. But the truth is he's a musical legend and I'm tired of people making fun of him and I'm going to dedicate a good part of my future ensuring his genius is understood and appreciated.'' Blaine explained awkwardly, avoiding eye contact with the group. "I am no longer in the closet about my love for Phil Collins.
"Alright, everybody give it up for Blaine Anderson." Sam said, as everyone, including Haley clapped and cheered.
----
Blaine stopped playing the piano as Haley and Sam walked in.
"I wanted to do one last Phil Collins song before they make us put our guilty pleasures back in the closet." Blaine said, smiling.
"Well, maybe we don't have to. I mean, everyone seems to be having so much fun with them out on the table. Maybe life's better that way." Sam said.
"I don't know about that. I think if we always engulfed ourselves in that kind of thing we'd make a lot of people uncomfortable." Blaine replied, awkwardly.
"Blaine, you don't have to be uncomfortable or ashamed." Haley assured him, smiling.
"You don't have to be uncomfortable. It's okay, I get it. Your -your guilty pleasure is me." Sam said, sending Blaine a reassuring look. "I mean, I've known all year and you know frankly, I'm an attractive guy and you're into dudes and if you weren't into me I'd be pretty offended.
"You're not freaked out? Because I don't want to jeopardise our friendship-you've been there for me through the whole Kurt thing..." Blaine frowned, and rambled.
"Okay stop. Nothing's gonna change. We're like brothers and I trust you and to tell the truth, the attention feels kinda good, it's flattering." Sam said, putting both his hands on Blaine's shoulders. "Come on, let's hug it out." Sam said, bringing Blaine into a bro hug.
"What about me?" Haley whined, laughing, as the boys opened their hug to let her in too.
After they finished, Blaine turned to look at Haley. "Look, Haley..."
"Please, don't apologize! It's okay! I'm not offended or hurt, I mean he is one of a kind, and he's so smart and really hot." Haley said, smiling.
"Thank you, Hay." Blaine said, bringing her into a hug.
"We love you dude. Come on, let's go lead one last class together. I have one more song that you are gonna love." Sam said.

Shooting Star is next, and I'm including an extra chapter after that (for Sam to propose), and we will see what else I can upload with my time I have.
