《Infinity || Dan Smith》Seventy-Five.

It's official. Dan and Charlie are now Mr and Mrs Smith, although they've kept things to themselves. Secrecy seems better than revealing the truth, that nobody was invited to their wedding...even their families and closest of friends.
Dan and Charlie wanted a intimate wedding, and that's more or less what they got. Their ceremony went better than they expected, as for Lacey didn't cry...nor did neither of them embarrass themselves. They took a couple of photos just to show family members if they ask, but that's about it.
They're a live in the moment type of couple.
"What the fuck are you doing?" Dan laughs whilst he gently rocks Lacey in his arms.
For the past few hours Dan and Charlie hang around in the grand venue that the premiere is going to be held in. The only reason why they're here so early is because they have nothing better to do...even on their wedding day. And there only so many times that you can try for a baby within a short period of time...
"I'm bored and want to see if I can crab walk on top of the chairs." Charlie causally answers Dan's question. At first he sniggers, not thinking much of his wife's weirdness, but then a unsettling feeling sinks in.
What if she hurts herself? Dan thinks to himself whilst looking worried, though Charlie can't see. She's far to busy acting like a gymnast to notice her husband's concerned looks.
"Can I remind you that we're meant to be..." — Dan's voice wearily trails off whilst he then looks around the massive empty theatre — "trying for a baby." Both Dan and Charlie find it weird that the miracle of life hasn't happened yet. They know that these things can take up to a year, although the doctors recommend that they should go to a fertility clinic within three-to-four months of trying since they're both a little under thirty five.

"And?" Charlie happily says whilst Dan feels himself longing to dive his head into his pale palms, but Lacey prevents him from doing so.
"And if you fall or hurt yourself...we're fucked." Charlie then makes an 'oh' noise as she then sits on top of the red velvet chairs.
What she's doing is considered both disgusting and disrespectful, but Charlie doesn't see it that way. "Is this what our marriage is going to be like? My husband telling me what I can and can't do?" Dan doesn't answer because he doesn't know whether Charlie's right in thinking that or not.
Dan knows he can be possessive and slightly controlling, but he does it to either help or protect Charlie.
"Wow..." Charlie's voice trails off as she feels suddenly uncomfortable. At the end of the day they're still a new couple despite being husband and wife.
They're still learning about each other...
"Well...I mean...that's the first red fucking flag right there." She awkwardly says while Dan tilts his head upwards in frustration.
"I just...love you. And I don't want to see yourself get hurt again, that's all. No psychotic husband." Unconvincingly Charlie nods her head while she fakes a weary smile in retaliation.
Neither of them say anything else while Charlie forgets about what Dan said and proceeds to lay on top of the red velvet chairs, before hoisting herself upwards with her feet and arms.
"I thought you two was trying for another baby?" Kyle randomly says while he takes iPhone pictures of the venue. It's like the Tardis from Doctor Who basically, it looks small on the New York street...but it looks massive from the inside.
Charlie then stands up on one of the chairs in boredom, but Kyle the perfect opportunity to get some photos for his friends.

"Oi! Charlie!" He calls out roughly about four or five rows diagonally away from Charlie.
"What?!" She unenthusiastically shouts back.
"Pose!" He holds his phone in the air so that Charlie can see, to which she makes a faint 'oh' sound before she gets into position.
Since Charlie has been serval different industries, she knows her way around promotional photoshoots...meaning that she knows exactly how to pose for a photograph.
Kyle then takes several more of her before Dan, who is sitting on a isle chair looks up from Lacey, then shakes his head. "Man...that's enough." Dan's simply worried that Kyle will keep her slightly sultry pictures and 'use' them inappropriately, he wouldn't put it past his mate.
"Nah, just one more." Kyle laughs while Charlie literally lays uncomfortably on top of all of the seats.
"Nah mate!" Dan almost shouts.
"Babe..." Charlie looks confusedly in Dan's direction.
"Sorry...it's just..." He doesn't say anything else. Instead Dan stands up and holds Lacey out towards her mother, it's the only way Charlie will stop messing around.
"She wants you." Charlie then points to Lacey with a smile.
"But she's...looking at you..." Dan looks towards Lacey and sees her smile at him, while it's cute and he could hold her all day, he doesn't particularly want his new wife's pictures in Kyle's iCloud.
"Trust me, she wants you."
Charlie then makes a startled 'oh' sound, before climbing down from off of the chairs and walks towards Dan with her arms out wide. "Hello, you." Charlie helplessly says in a babyish voice while she lifts Lacey up from Dan's arms and carries her away.
Kyle then looks at Dan, narrowing his big brown eyes. "Let Charlie do what she wants to do." Kyle is weirded out by Dan. He knows that Dan can be controlling, but he's never seen him get jealous before.
He's also weirded out as to why his mates went missing this morning, but the couple be telling all of their friends and family soon enough about their new matching rings...

Shades of the Moon
I'm rewriting this story! I have taken down Arc 2 and Arc 3 already to avoid spoiling my new novel. The only reason I'm keeping the first 10 chapters is nostalgia; the writing is awkward and the story is not plotted out properly, but it's here if anyone wants to compare it to the new one. If you'd like to read a more professionally written version of this story, I highly suggest checking out my Synergy. Synopsis version too-many-to-count: “I see,” Kiona said. “But . . . you’re changing once again, aren’t you?” The entity considered her question, lifting a clawed hand towards the night sky. They observed the back of their hand idly, watching the glowing orange veins pulse alongside their pitch-black exoskeleton. The wind picked up right then, and Kiona shivered—just as much from the cold as from the savage grin on the creature's face. “That’s right,” the entity said, clenching their hand slowly into a fist. They let out a quiet laugh, staring defiantly at the Moon as it rose from behind the clouds. “We are shades, yet not exactly. Not like the others. Here, in this world, we've become something more. We are the Shades of the Moon.” There was a heartbeat of silence, during which Kiona joined the entity in their skygazing. The light-green Moon loomed over the city, shining like the entity's eyes. It promised otherworldly knowledge and terrible secrets. It promised progress. It promised change. In that moment, Kiona couldn't have imagined anything more beautiful. “Shades of the Moon, huh?” she said, smiling a bit. It had a nice ring to it.
