《Infinity || Dan Smith》Seventy-Three.

After trying yet again for another child, Dan hugs into Charlie whilst she smiles embracing his warmth. They don't say anything at first, the atmosphere is peaceful...and there's not a thing in the world to worry about. Lacey's full up and sleeping soundlessly, and Kyle is at the bar making new friends that he'll never see again.
For the first time on this entire press conference tour...life feels good.
"I got it..." Dan whispers whilst they lay between the sheets.
"You got what?" Charlie asks whilst she watches Lacey's baby monitor which sits on the hotel rooms beside table.
"Our marriage license." Charlie's eyes widen as she then turns around in the bed so that she's facing Dan. She wants to make sure that Dan isn't lying, but funnily enough Dan's face remains pretty serious like his telling the truth. Of course he smiles though.
"You lie?" Charlie says whilst narrowing her eyes, trying to observe Dan. Normally his face is like an open book and easy for her to read, but since he's had a couple of acting lessons he knows how to lie like a pro.
Dan shakes his head while a massive grin creeps into his soft lips. "Wait...how long have you had it?" Charlie remembers applying for a license back in London, how would Dan have it now?
"I was meaning to tell you before we left...but I got distracted." Charlie then hugs into Dan, not really knowing what to do. She's truly over the moon.
"What are we gonna do now?" She asks while Dan pulls back his head.
"Want to do something completely young, dumb, and reckless?" Charlie can't help but smile at Dan while she nods her head ever so slightly, looking very intrigued in what Dan has got to say.

"We go to the court house tomorrow morning...after we get our premiere clothes on" — Charlie uncertainly smiles, although she has a feeling what Dan has got to say next in relation to the marriage license — "and we...get married. We don't need any witnesses or anything, Lace can be the maid of honour." Charlie tearfully nods her head.
She's so caught up in different emotions right now. She's mainly happy and shocked, although she's always dreamed of a huge white wedding. But suddenly a white wedding, and being a bridezilla, seems extremely overrated.
"Really?" Dan whispers while Charlie nods her head again with a smile before she bursts into tears of happiness.
"And we don't need any witnesses?" Normally there's two people who have to attend the 'wedding', but in this circumstance there doesn't have to be.
"I mean Ky could tag along, but it wouldn't be fair on you. I just thought it'd be us three. Our family." Charlie nods her head with a smile whilst she kisses Dan on the lips before pulling away in excitement.
"I wish you told me sooner! I have to go and...prepare." Dan cracks a smile and shakes his head. He didn't mean to disturb their peace...and he certainly doesn't want Charlie to leave their bed. Especially at this time of night, he knows that a courthouse wedding doesn't really deserve a sleepless night for preparation.
Charlie and Dan already basically have their wedding clothes hanging up right now. The New York premiere for Illusion is tomorrow, so their outfits come in handy, especially considering Charlie's silk dress is white and long. And Dan has a smart designer suit, so both would naturally look the part of a bride and groom.
"It's a courthouse wedding, babe. It'll only last fifteen minutes maximum." Charlie gasps in shock that Dan is dissing her wedding venue.

"It's still my wedding and I'm going to prepare." Charlie demands whilst Dan sniggers his head at her very feisty comment.
"This is like the most important day of our lives and you're ruining it right now!" Charlie shouts while she holds her head feeling distorted, since barely ten minutes ago she was about to go to sleep. But those plans of sleeping have definitely changed now.
"Have you booked a honeymoon for us? Because I want a honeymoon? Wait are we on our honeymoon now? Is that why you're being so sweet to me because you know that we would get married in New York no matter what? Oh my god, that's fucking clever. Aw, I love you baby." Charlie emotionally tears up again while Dan lays in bed looking completely blankly at Charlie.
He can feel that she wants him to agree with her, so being a good fiancé he does...it's only that he has no idea what she's talking about. He hasn't even thought of the honeymoon and now he is regretting it, although Dan's ever so slightly relieved that she seems happy with the unintentional New York honeymoon.
"Wait!" — Charlie loudly says before she literally places her hands over her eyes — "Oh my god! We can't see each other! Close your eyes or something!" Charlie laughs, however, Dan doesn't close his eyes just yet. Instead he tilts his head to the side whilst watching his naked fiancée pick her dress up off of the floor and slip into it...although she stumbles a few times because her eyes are still sealed tight!
"Is your eyes shut! It's bad luck! I'm getting fucking married in the morning. Literally! Me! I thought I was gonna die alone and everything..." Charlie can't see it, but Dan can't help but smile at her. He just feels so incredibly proud of her.
"Yeah...they are." Dan smiles while he closes his eyes. Charlie then smiles before turning the other way and opening hers.
"I'll get changed in the other room." They have two rooms, although Lacey's room has a drive as well as a double bed.
"We text only. I don't want no bad luck, okay?" She's superstitious.
"Seriously?" Dan laughs.
"Deadly. Don't worry about Lacey either, I'll take care of her." Dan nods his head but then realises that he has to reply out aloud.
"Wicked." With that Charlie then creeps to the door before opening it slightly.
"I love you..." she whispers with a smile in her voice.
"Love you more."

Note: Slight edits to early chapters (and removal of one chapter - previously chapter 2) have been made 2/2/21 The city, my city, had once been alive in a way that was hard to describe. Thriving, active, hopeful. Vibrant. But life, as I had come to learn, sometimes possesses only the most tenuous of grasps. Finally, in the end, it became my city - mine alone. I was, after all, the only one left. Worse, it was entirely my fault. There was red in my ledger that could never be wiped clean. Not while I still lived, anyway. This story follows Eran, a man who became the opposite of everything he had ever wanted to be; in a world where superpowers began to appear in a rare few, his lack of control over his own power relegated him to the role of a terrible villain - the Reaper, named so for the countless lives that he absorbed and made his own, each only furthering his deadly lack of control. Gone mad with guilt and isolation, he strove for a single heroic act - his own demise. Death was less permanent than he hoped. Centuries later, he woke to a changed world and in a body not his own. Unfortunately, his power came with him. Yet this time, things would be different. This time, he had a chance to bring it under control. He could never truly make up for the things he had done; he could never achieve redemption. That wouldn't stop him from trying to be a hero. 8 331The Doormat Villainess – Adrianne
A villainess is a character who has always been diametrically opposed to the heroine of a romance drama. What makes a person a good villainess? The fact that she's unabashedly beautiful and charismatic, yet also rotten inside? The fact that she's incredibly loathsome, greedy, and selfish? That she's reasonably strong enough to be a hurdle, yet ultimately powerless in the face of a determined heroine? That despite all these character flaws, a Villainess's greatest virtue is unwilling to give up until the last of their breath, in pursuit of her personal desire? If those are the hallmark of a successful Villainess. Then, I might be the wrong person to play that role. Also on Scribblehub (Profile)
