《Infinity || Dan Smith》Fifty-Three.

When Dan gets back to the private hospital Charlie's chemo has already been set up so he doesn't need a mask. Instead he walks into a room braving a loving smile, although he's still traumatised by the 'talk' he had with his mother and sister.
"What took you so long?" Charlie asks while her nurse, who was giving her company, walks out of the room with a supportive smile tattooed onto her face.
"N-nothing..." Dan stutters while Charlie points at her boyfriend.
"I know when there's something wrong." Charlie's in a good mood today, she had a gentle nurse this time and she knew what she was expecting so it hurt less. But she can slowly feel herself gradually become tired.
"But what if I told you that you're wrong...because nothing's wrong." Dan then smiles, but of course Charlie narrows her eyes and tilts her head to the space in the bed besides her.
"I'm never wrong." Dan throws his eyes backward while he sits bedsides Charlie. He wants to tell her the truth, but he's scared that she'll disown him. Charlie clearly means everything to Dan, she's his daughters mother and his lover. He'll do anything and everything for her if he could, even if it means taking away her illness.
"Tell me." Charlie says while she strokes Dan's cheek with the arm that isn't attached to the drip.
"Just the past coming up again and biting me in the arse." Charlie rolls her eyes backwards.
"Now you know how I feel when you go on about your chocolate days." Both Dan and Charlie laugh at the thought of Dan's sob story.
"Sorry..." his voice trails off whilst blushing a very light shade of pink in his puffy cheeks.
"When's the last time you ate?" Because of the chemotherapy, Charlie lately hasn't been eating anything at all. Her appetite is gone and she's...wasting away. Not that she'd admit it though.

"Are you seriously judging me for not eating?" Dan leans on his side while Charlie throws the duvet over him. Although Dan isn't feeling the cold like Charlie is.
"One of us needs to stay strong for Lacey, I mean...you kinda look like a giraffe right now." Dan nods his head. He'll do anything for her...when if it's putting on a bit of winter weight.
Charlie then curls up besides Dan as she suddenly is overwhelmed with tiredness, although they suggest that you don't fall asleep in chemo. "Ay..." Dan whispers nudging Charlie on the arm.
But Charlie doesn't respond. Instead she closes her eyes while Dan tilts his head back. "The bitch called." Charlie whispers.
"Which bitch?" Both Dan and Charlie are plagued by 'bitches' both dead and alive. They've both given up with naming them.
"Au-bitch." Dan cracks a smile. No matter how ill Charlie is, she'll forever call Aubrey a bitch. But Aubrey doesn't mind. She's used to be 'queen bitch' or whatever nicknames Charlie titles her with.
"What did she want?" Dan asks while Charlie tries to hold in a pile feeling.
"For you to go to a premiere tomorrow night." Dan's eyes widens while he shakes his head looking down at Charlie. There's no way he's letting her go to a premiere.
"She's out of her fucking mind." Dan whispers trying not to disturb the calm and relaxing environment.
"Don't you want to know what film it is at least? I was the one who...kinda recommended it." Dan's eyes widen again while Charlie opens her's a little. She smiles at Dan's shocked reaction. Although she knows what he's going to say regardless.
"What film is it then?"
"Doctor Sleep." Dan then looks at her confused. He's never heard of 'Doctor Sleep' before.

Charlie on the other hand smiles, "the Ewan McGregor film..." Dan shrugs with a stupid grin on his face.
"Fucking hell Dan. The premiere is the sequel to The Shining. Because you've been really good to me...and you haven't had any alone time or whatever I thought it would be good if you got to go...without this set back." Charlie laughs a little while pointing to herself.
"You shouldn't of..." Dan then feels bad. He presumed that Charlie would be going with him.
"I should've got you tickets to the IT premiere, you know? I'm sorry about that. But I know how much you adore Kubrick...and this film has several nods towards him." Dan nods his head with a smile. He cannot dent her sweet offer.
"Then you can come back here the day after tomorrow and tell me and Lacey all about it, can't you?" Charlie glides her fingers through Dan's hair. It's getting like how it used to be. Dan hasn't shaved it in months.
"The day after tomorrow?" Dan has been sleeping in the hospital bed with Charlie, despite them not actually living together.
"When you're a film star and go to premieres...you get to go in posh hotel rooms. Nick all the booze in the fridge for me, please." Charlie pats Dan on the chest before winking...only because she cannot stomach alcohol.
"I don't want to leave you alone." But Charlie shrugs.
"I need sleep...and to catch up on all those boring housewives shows that you hate. I'll FaceTime you while you get a suit or whatever." Dan's eyes widen.
"Suit?"
"They're having a big London premiere...so it's fancy." Dan rolls his eyes back before kissing Charlie on top of her head. The only part where it's redeemed 'safe' during chemo.
"Thank you." He whispers with a sympathetic smile.
Charlie would do anything and everything for Dan too...

[Conquerors Of The Delve] [Abandoned]
28-year-old Lucian was a smart and hard-worker, having put aside enough money since joining a family friend's company at the age of 16. But with the company now bankrupt, and no way of earning a scholarship, he finds himself not employed, educated or in training. While browsing the web, one thing consistently popped up, overshadowing all else. An Augmented VReality game, a dungeon delver residing inside an Open World MMORPG. A game that granted the players a hand in the game's geography, architecture and community, allowing them to build their own world. The economy was also interchangeable with real currency. Items could be freely sold and bought, with both in-game money and real-life e-cash. But what truly caught his attention were the game rules. For they allowed him to be what he wanted to be and do what he wanted to do without any real-life repercussions. Kill, Rape and Pillage. The only people who could stop you were players who possessed the ability to do so.

I just wanted to say thanks for taking the time to read my work. Everything posted here is mostly the first draft for a book that I am work on. When complete it will have between 30-40 chapters & roughly 70k words. I'm very new to writing so hopefully over time you will see an improvement. This is also a side hobby so new chapters may be slow I"m sorry. Work and my family take priority. Thanks again for your time and please leave feedback as that helps me improve my writing.

The Tears of Kas̆dael
It was just supposed to be a game. A really, really great game, yes - but a game. Instead, Jasper got his heart ripped out by a brooding goddess and awoke to find himself in another world. No weapons, no skills. Naked. Trapped in a world full of ancient horrors, where gods and monsters still roam the earth, Jasper is forced to adapt quickly or die - and he's not ready to die. Good thing he's a mage. This is a high-fantasy novel with light LitRPG elements. It's not super-crunchy, but the system is an important part of the story. There is some light cursing and gore, but this is not a Grimdark novel. There will also be no harem. The current schedule is chapters on M-W-F of around 2000-2500 words, as well as occasional bonus chapters that provide background or insights into side characters. This is my first real attempt at writing a full novel, but the story is based on a world that I've been creating and re-creating since I was a child. I have an extensive "history" and religion, and even a semi-cohesive language system worked out, which will hopefully slowly shine through as the story progresses. I want to avoid having too many info-dumps, so I may from time to time post a bonus lore chapter that will explain some of the background for any who are interested.
