Dan placed fourteenth in the London Marathon.

As soon as Dan got to every 'pit stop' he filmed a bit of the movie in character as Liam. The main point is that felt real...because it was. Everyone called him Liam, even his friends and family.

After filming all of the camera footage that they need for the scene, He ended up going for a slow walk so his legs don't lock. Dan then limped back to Charlie's car after saying his goodbyes to everyone, and collecting his award.

After the longer than usual car journey, because of the London bridge being closed off due to the marathon, they make it back at Dan's empty place by early evening. And Dan now stands facing the greatest enemy of his life which is...stairs.

"Fuck off." Dan laughs looking at the thirteen stairs.

"You need to have a bath. Get upstairs now." But Dan shakes his head.

Charlie on the other hand yawns. She's never jumped up and down so much in her entire life. Her lungs hurt her too from cheering Dan on...but she had fun on the sidelines. Her feet also burn from all of the walking and driving that she's done, but at least she knows that she'll get a good nights sleep.

"Get on your arse and go backwards up the stairs then." With that Dan then effortlessly bows his head down and rests it against Charlie's shoulder. It's like he's suddenly became a small child who's looking for attention.

"You're worse than our baby, you know that right?" Charlie throws her brown cartoon eyes backwards before wrapping her arms around Dan's stiff body.

Dan laughs before honestly nodding his head. "Let's just...get you into the bath. No offence but you look shit and smell a bit." Dan cracks a smile at Charlie's 1975 reference.

He then takes a deep breath before she literally pushes him up the first step...then the second...and then so on. While Dan is in immense pain, he doesn't complain. Instead he watches the luke warm bath fill up with bath bubbles that he didn't even know he had.

Both Charlie and Dan don't say anything, it's only because they've already said everything they need to say. But this silence is sweet. It matches the calm mood.

Dan then gets into the bath and lays down with his eyes closed, his body almost unwinds.

While Charlie watches Dan live his best sore life, tears helplessly fill up her eyes. She looks away and tries drying them with the back of her hand maniacally, but they keep on falling. They're persistent. When Dan opens his eyes he sees his girlfriend in a state...but he doesn't know why.

"Babe?" Dan quickly sits up and extends his arms out while Charlie dives into them, getting her top wet. But she doesn't care.

"I'm so sorry..." she then tries to pull away, but Dan won't let her. He's concerned.

"What's wrong?"

"Aubrey emailed me a video of an audition..." her voice trails off while she closes her eyes. She wants to watch that audition...but she doesn't want to watch it alone. She doesn't want to see the person suffer anymore than what he did.

"Who was in the audition?" Dan has a good guess of who it is...and lately he's guesses have been right.

"My dad." That's when Dan nods his head.

He knew.

"Did you watch it? Do you want to talk about it or..." while his voice trails off Charlie shakes her head.

"I can't bring myself to watch the video. I've only seen one photo of him, but now I have a whole video of him. It's fucking weird." Charlie mumbles while she kneels on the floor besides the bath. The only reason why she's in here is because she's putting a special foot cream onto Dan's poor blistered feet...but she has yet to even untwist the lid of the pricey cream from The Body Shop.

"Do you want to watch the video of him after this? I can watch it with you and..." Charlie nods her head looking grateful towards Dan. She needs to see the audition that Aubrey was keeping from her.

She's never expected or wanted anything off of Dan before...other than for him to sing. But Dan finds solace and comfort in knowing that he is helping Charlie through her parental issues, something he hasn't done before.

"Can we just...talk about the marathon while I distract myself with rubbing for gruesome feet." Dan can't help but laugh while he nods his head, lifting on of his feet out of the water and uncomfortably putting it on the side.

"Gross." Charlie sobs with a laugh while Dan tells her all about the marathon and his Spotify suddenly going offline during the halfway point!

But it's a good distraction for Charlie...before she sees the audition tape Aubrey emailed.
