"In this scene Liam and Lily are in the office. It's a laid back scene...at first we want to make the audience believe that they're just friends. But then Lily sits on Dan's lap, and they're touchy-feely." Both Dan and Charlie nod their heads.
"Can I change something in the script?" Aubrey immediately rolls her eyes at Charlie's request. The only reason that Charlie's asking is because she wants to do her character justice. She doesn't want to disappoint fellow fans of her character.
"What?" Aubrey snaps. She hates Charlie for also been a very fussy actress. Charlie pays attention to detail in every film she's in. However, Aubrey does know that Charlie is one of the most outstanding actresses of this century.
"It's just that...Lily likes calling people darling. It's like her bad habit, but it matches her arrogance." Aubrey looks in the direction of the script supervisor in hopes for some help, although he's too busy talking to a background extra.
"Do whatever you want, okay? We need to shoot this scene asap, you know that." To get the authenticity of a tea looking office...they hired one out. The real office workers only have two days off, even though this is 'meant' to be a fairly quick scene. Charlie proudly smiles before Aubrey yells 'action'. The chatter in the room falls dead silent while the camera records...
Charlie, or in this case Lily, sits on top of seemingly messy office desk. She swings her legs with her arms crossed, giving people continuous evil looks as they pass her desk.
The scene stops for a few moments while Aubrey nods her head at the footage. "Can we put a camera dolly track around the desk. Just a semi circle, please. It builds more of an atmosphere." Charlie awkwardly scratches her nose while Dan stands to the side, waiting for his cue.

Multiple camera guys set up what looks like 'train tracks' according to Dan. It basically takes no time to set up, "can the extras go into their original positions. I'd like to try that again." Everyone with their heads bowed down gets into the exact same position they was in before.
"3...2..." Aubrey silently nods her head, watching from afar. Seconds later the first extra walks slowly past Lily. This time she makes it look obvious that she's chewing gum, since Lily always was in the comics.
It's another nifty reference Charlie adds in.
The men behind the cameras slowly move around the desk. When the tracks come to the end, they zoom in on Lily's side profile. Just to show off...she blows a bubble.
"Charlie!" Aubrey shouts the moment the pale pink bubble bursts. Charlie on the other hand smiles, the first person she looks at is Dan. Dan smiles back, he knows that she isn't exactly the most mature person on set.
"I liked that. Did we get the bubble?" The executive producer chimes in, before a very agitated Aubrey can tell Charlie off.
"Yeah!" The cameraman working on the track dolly shouts.
"We should keep that bit in. As soon as the bubble pops freeze frame it. We can then put Dan behind her...so as soon as it pops it reveals him?" Aubrey nods her head. Only because she can visulise the scene in her head. Frame-for-frame.
Dan on the other hand keeps quiet. There's not a lot he can do than wait around, but every now and again Charlie smiles. Every smiles contains much needed ressurement for Dan, it's just so he knows everything is going okay and that this scene is completely normal. Charlie feels sorry for Dan, she knows that he thought making a movie would be so much...different...than what he probably presumed it to be.

"Dan!" Aubrey hollers as she points her white scene script in direction of Charlie, who sits on the office desk looking bored stiff. As much as she enjoys her job, filming can sometimes be the worse.
Dan, with his head lowered, walks over to Aubrey. "So there's a change of plan. We need you to stand on the those marks" - Aubrey points to where a woman in her early thirties leans over and marks the floor with silver masking tape - "stand still until we say, okay?" Dan nods his head and walks over to the markers. He then see's the camera man turning away the screen from the freeze frame of Charlie. He never knew how much precision had to go into films, but at least he's glad now. And so is Ralph.
Ralph Pelleymounter now has given up sending stuff to Dan's mother in secerey, and has decided to opt for the most obvious thing. He legitately takes pictures with a polroid camera. He doesn't even bother hiding it, although because it's polaroid and won't be uploaded to the web, no one has said anything. He feels as if he is getting away with murder. Seeing his mate snap away is a shock to Dan, espeically since he thought that Ralph wasn't going to pay him a visit today...but he was wrong.
Dan stands in position, looking at Charlie who pops another bubble, thankfully the bubbles was about the same size so they don't need to worry about editing.
"Good. Stay there...and then you can start your orignal lines." Dan nods his head while the boom opertator holds the long pole above their heads, but out of sight from the camera.
"Do you remmeber them?" The script supervisor asks while Dan nods his head. At least he think he does. "okay then, everyone get in your places! 3...2..." Aubrey's voice trails off while Dan and Charlie do their thing.
