I feel my hands get shaky, Annabeth was in the middle of her interview. She was saying all the right things, her dress was blue as the ocean and caught the corner of my eye every time, or that could just be her.

"Well Caesar, you are too kind!" Annabeth says.

"Not as much as you are for gracing me with your time." He starts to laugh that signature Capitol laugh. "Again, give it up for Miss Annabeth!"

I feel my heart beat faster and my hands feel sweaty. My pocket seemed to be weighing me down. I was about to go out on that stage in front of national television, I mean I've been on national television before, but only as a wanted felon.

"Now, everyone knows this guy, he is everyone, especially the girls, are talking about! It's Percy!" I walk out on stage. The whole audience is clapping, I start to feel nauseous. "So, Percy, Annabeth just told me that you two are a thing and that you have known each other since the age of twelve, tell us some of your experiences."

"Well, when we first met I was in the hospital and she was the one taking care of me. I didn't know her name I just remember that I thought she looked like a princess." The crowd all either sighed or let out an aww. "We never really saw each other much in school so during summer, whenever we weren't working, we were always together. We both started to slowly fall in love, it seemed like everyone we knew had known we liked each other before we did. So on my 16th birthday we started dating and have been together ever since." The crowd loved my story, I peaked at Annabeth in the wings and she was smiling.

"So, you really think she is the one, so why would you volunteer if you knew only one of you could make it out?" Caesar questions.

"I don't know, I knew that she could fend for herself, but not being there with her. I just couldn't bare it." I was pulling the right strings, everyone loved me.

"So, I heard that you had a special thing that you wanted to announce." Caesar mentioned, the truth was I did, and Annabeth had to be on stage with me.

"Yes, in fact, can Annabeth come on stage with me?" I feel my heart beat faster and faster.

"Sure, come back out here young lady!" Caesar insists. Annabeth walks out with a surprised look on her face. I stand up and we meet with a hug. "Percy, now what is it you need to say? I think everyone wants to know! Doesn't everyone want to know?" Everyone cheers in response.

"Ok Caesar, if you are making me do this." I say in a sarcastic remark.

"Well of course I am!" He starts laughing again.

Annabeth's hair was beautifully pulled into a braid and she was stunning. "Annabeth, you and I have been through thick and thin. The risk of death and the thought of safety. Every time I had a chance to see you I would take it. I love you more than anything-"

She cuts me off, "More than blue cookies?" I see tears of joy in her eyes.

"Yes, way more than blue cookies. When I heard your name get picked my world got sucked away, the Earth felt like if was no longer beneath me." I make eye contact with her stormy gray eyes, the room was silent. I grabbed her right hand and bent down on one knee, I grabbed the small box from my pocket. The crowd gasped. "I knew I couldn't die without asking you this question, Annabeth Chase, will you marry me?"

Her eyes were full of water now, she slowly started nodding. "YES! Yes, how could I not say yes Seaweed brain." I had the joy of putting the golden ring on her finger. I stood up and we kissed. I knew the crowd was applauding but I didn't care, I had her here with me and that's all that mattered.

We pulled away and Caesar was in tears. "Give it up for Percy and Annabeth!" Everyone stood up and gave the biggest round of applause yet, no matter how much anyone tried, I knew that I had just earned everyone's attention for the remainder o& the games.
