《Demugad In The Battee of Blood》Time to tREYNA

Maverick and I were the first on the training ground. I watched as everyone came in, the next pair was district 4, Annabeth and... Percy? Won't doubt he volunteered. Then it was district 8, both lookedh similar, same blonde hair, blue eyes, and height, possibly twins (not twins though, they were cousins). Then district 3 Leo and some other girl with light brown hair and hands wanting to fidget. Then district 1, Piper and Jason, both in a similar tight jumpsuit that seemed flexible. Then the pair from district 11 and 12 come of at the same time, both looked underfed but looked like they were well nourished the past few days and wouldn't be recognizable to there district. Then District 9, then 6 and 7, a boy with sandy blonde hair... Will, was talking to HAZEL and FRANK!!! But the other girl looked the opposite way from them. I stopped caring whenever Maverick came over.
"What are you looking at?" He asks in an off putting way.
"Just sizing up the tributes, deciding who looks like a good ally. So far I have both of district 1, the girl doesn't seem tough, but she's hot, so that will get us sponsors. Then district 4, the girl looks quick and brilliant, then the boy is both muscular and cute so that will help as well." Saying this about my friends, like I'm just going to use them. Felt weird, I didn't know how to say I wanted Leo, Will, Frank or Hazel yet, but I'm sure that their talents will show through soon.
"I agree, I watched the district 3 kids, the boy rewired a shock grenade in 5 seconds. He may be useful." Good, there was one I wouldn't have to convince him about, he didn't know these people though, why is he so lenient right now?

"Ok, I'm gonna go work with a sword, your turn to find some more people." I nudge him, this was weird, would we kill him near the beginning, would he kill us first? I grabbed the silver sword, it looked weird in my hands I'm used to gold, possibly bronze, but not this. It was smaller and lighter than my usual one so I had to adjust, but it was fine after that. I severed dummies heads and arms, one I even sliced right through its torso. I see that a few game makers in a small room on the wall watching me. I decide to put it down and try to work with a spear, I hadn't had much experience with it, but I still could get a solid hit. I throw it a few times and hit the dummy right in the gut every time.
"Nice aim." A girls voice startles me. I turn around to see Annabeth.
"Thanks I guess, if you are trying to study me it won't be much help." This act I had to put on, I wasn't a daughter or legacy of Apollo, this wasn't normal for me.
"No! I just thought that for you to get a solid hit on the heart you need to adjust your form. Here, let me see the spear." I reluctantly give it to her. She adjusts a little but before I know she landed the spear straight where the heart would be.
"Wait! How do you know how to use a spear?" I had lost my act, I'd never seen Annabeth without a knife or sword.
"Uhh, close to a trident, and I guess sometimes we use it whenever the fish are abundant and we have more fishermen out than tridents." She was good, how could she keep up this without wavering. She retrieves the spear and gives it to me. "Here just adjust your arm to, yep right there, now make sure your feet are aligned." She stepped away and I throw hitting the dummy right in the mark.

"But why are you helping me? I'll have to kill you soon."
"Not if we are a team." She walks off with a small smile on her face. I retire the spear and decide to take a class that was starting soon about how to identify foods out in the wild. Waste of my time though, except for one berry I hadn't seen before, nightlock.

Against the World. Chronicles of melancholy
An unknown accident leading to an amnesia and a twisted psyche. Forced away from his daily life, forced to play the Game, for reasons untold. To fight for his survival, to fight for answers. To become strong, to fight and survive for even the chance to find out why was this injustice done to him. The only way to beat the game is to play the game. And it must be played perfectly. Chronicles of melancholy, of an everlasting grayness, of sadness, despair and anger. A tale of a rise to power, or perhaps a fall from grace. Maybe even both, depending one's view point and final goal. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Hello ladies and gents. I hope you enjoy reading my book as I enjoy writing it! It’s a side project of mine and I can currently only write in my free time, which is not a lot unfortunately. I do not know how many chapters a week I will be able to produce, however, the word count will be around 6000-7000 per week. If you like the story you can support me on patreon and read chapters ahead of current release. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Disclaimer: The story might not be for the faint hearted or for those seeking an over-powerd plot guarded golden cow of a mc. The story will start out slowly and will pick up a bit of pace later on on, however, the character/s will walk a long and full of despair road. No sugar-coating in this story. Another thing to have in mind is that I currently do not have a proofreader nor an editor, so some mistakes might slip through my fingers, if you notice any such, please do leave a comment so I can fix them for future readers. Do please enjoy the story and feel free to leave reviews and or comments, I am usually pretty open and would love to answer some of your questions!

Starchild
“It’s life’s illusions I recall. I really don’t know life at all.” from the song, Both Sides Now, by Joni Mitchell Starchild is an adventure novel set within an understanding of reality that is rooted in Eastern spiritual traditions. It takes as its starting point experiments in remote viewing that were genuinely undertaken by the American military in the nineteen-nineties under the name of the Stargate Project. It then imagines how a more advanced attempt to weaponise the capabilities of consciousness might have been developed in the present day.The story then explores how Ultimate Reality might respond to such a threat.Deep, elemental forces thus bring together Samantha Martin and Sahadeva Varma, old colleagues from the Stargate Project, to avert the apocalyptic consequences of this military attempt to weaponise consciousness. This fast-paced story spans genres including romance, action, adventure, science fiction and more. Although this story is based on concepts drawn from established spiritual traditions, these have sometimes been extrapolated to the point of very extreme speculation for the needs of an adventure story.Much of the underlying philosophy, however, as explained in the dharma talks given by Samantha Martin, is paraphrased from the guidance of respected spiritual teachers. Scheduling: Starchild is a previously unpublished novel of one hundred thousand words which was serialised in weekly instalments over twenty-five weeks from 15th November 2021 to the 29th April 2022. Each instalment contains five chapters – an average of approximately four thousand words in each instalment.
