《Demugad In The Battee of Blood》ANNABETH stabs a table (it's not mahogany)

Mags, she was amazing. I wanted to cry anytime she spoke, it was rare, but it was still there, a little more than in the 75th games, but going. She probably hasn't had her stroke yet, and if she did it hasn't effected her severely yet. I didn't know what to think of Octavia, she was nice, but she was very Aphrodite in the way of her pretending she is better than everyone.

"Annabeth, there you are." Percy says walking into my quarters. I put down the book I was reading and standing up to greet him.

"Yeah, I'm still mad you volunteered." I say, he ruffles his black hair and I gaze into his sea green eyes. I forget everything, all the worries and dangers for these moments. I embrace him in a hold that made it feel like he was always going to be here with me.

"Look, I didn't know what to do, I mean-" I shut him up with a kiss, his face goes red immediately.

"It's fine, this isn't going to be half of Tartarus." I say slowly release him from the embrace.

"True, but this time only one of us can come out of it, no mater what."

"We will get sponsors and so will the others. We have better training than half these kids combined. We will get the supplies we need to remake the time machine." I start to doubt this, what are the chances, we'd all have to fake death somehow, and also make sure that there was one other person in the arena.

"Yeah, well Mags wanted me to get you for something." I shove him and run passed him, I hear him say something but can't decipher it. It was rare for Mags to speak, especially to me, she had a thing with teaching boys so she mainly spent time with Percy.

"Sorry Mags. What did you need." I say when I see her.

"Oh... Annabeth, it's... fine." She says this slow, like she can't say it faster or everything will go, not just her voice. "Octavia just...brought it... my attention that... haven't been spending... time with you." Octavia liked me for some reason, which was slightly unsettling because of how much she looked like a female version of Octavian...

"Yeah, no. It's good, Percy has said many times that I'd have a better shot at this." I didn't want her to feel guilty. Mags was sweet, she already felt like more of a mother than Athena and my step mom combined. Octavia walks in with a plate of some sort of fish.

"Oh, hey Annabeth, come here." She says putting the plate down.

"Why."

"Because I need you to take these to the back car so I can bring in the other food." She starts to walk around and I have had it.

"No!" I snap, stabbing the knife I had been fidgeting with into the table. I half expected her to yell that it was Mahogany, but I knew it wasn't, it was pine... and for some reason that hurt more than I thought it would. "I'm sorry Octavia, I'll help."

"No Annabeth, you are speaking with Mags, I'll get Percy to help." She walks back to where the cabins are.

"I'm sorry Mags, but what did you want to say?"
