《Demugad In The Battee of Blood》The (not so)GRACE of District 1

Piper started walking the opposite direction from me. I noticed that all the girls went the same way she did and all the boys went the same way as me. "So lover boy, how'd you get the cutie to talk to you? No offense but you aren't so impressive." One of the boys from the table that Piper was originally at told me.
Me? Not impressive? I won over the heart of a daughter of Aphrodite. "Piper? Yeah we've known each other for a... little while. But yeah you aren't so impressive yourself."
"Oh, is that how it's going to be? You are going to be mine in dueling class." He says shoving me into another guy.
"Hey watch it stumbles!" The guys I ran into said.
I decided to ignore these guys, I have already started on getting all the guys to hate me. The first class was a boring home room, pretty basic with us learning about the dark days. I started listening to the conversations around me more than the teacher.
"So, should we let him volunteer?"
"If he wants you I won't stop him."
"That hottie would be single if he died, I call her."
I regret listening to that last one. "Hey, don't act like she is an object! She could kick everyone of y'all's butts!"
"Oh, we have a little eavesdropper." One of them says.
The next few classes were dreadful and boring. The whole day would have been like that if it weren't for dueling class.
"Everyone, find a partner. We will be practicing sword fighting. Today you are not allowed to maim people." Everyone let's out a moan. "I know, but sword fighting is one of the more dangerous dueling activities."

Of course the boy from earlier walks up to me. "So you want to fight punk." He was about an inch or two shorter than me.
"Do you know what you are getting into?"
"I'm about to win, so do YOU know what you are getting into?" I say with a sly look on my face.
"On my ready!" The teacher says. "3,2,1, FIGHT!" He made the first attack. It was an attempted jab, this guy had a Roman style. This would have been equal if it weren't for my "amazing" stepmom Juno. I slash at his stomach, which ripped his shirt.
"Hey! He said no maiming!" He says before making another attempt to stab me in the gut.
"Well then what was that!?" I jabbed at him and he blocked it. The only thing I could focus on now was the clang of our swords every time they hit. I went for a slash on his arm. He tried to dodge which only made the slash change target to his cheek. The sword grazed his cheek and blood started coming out of the wound.
"Oh, that's how it's going to be!?" He started trying to hit me over and over again in various places. I easily blocked or dodged them. I finally decided to stop playing with him and tipped his sword up into the air out of his hand and caught it. "Hey! That's not fair!"
"I am only trying to keep from getting hurt. Do you quit yet?" I say teasing him.
"Never!" He tried to punch me in the gut but I just jumped to the side causing him to lose balance and run into the wall. I hear a roar of laughter until he looks back up eyes cold. I realized that we must have been the last two fighting.
"Class dismissed, clean up your wounds before your next class." Even though it was very unlikely I was hoping Piper was in my next class.
