I would like to tell you that we got there easy, because we did. I mean I just made a bubble for Annabeth and we swam right passed the guards. The only thing was whenever we finally got into the district I saw a way too familiar face, my half-sister, Kymopoleia. We almost got passed her too!
"Perseus Jackson? Is that you?" My stupid self thinks it would be smart to acknowledge the name as my own. I look at her, which was the stupidest thing I've ever done, and that's saying something. She was a little shorter than her 20 foot form I saw last year, now she's down to a measly 10. Her eyes still piecing white and her hair like jellyfish tentacles.
"Hey..." Now that she knows I'm here, there's no point to ignore her.
"Did I forget time again, I could have sworn it's been over a thousands years since... but you look. Oh. I just forgot. Well have a good day brother." She swims off into the distance.
"Annabeth, do you know what this means?" I look back at where Annabeth was not one second ago. I look up and all around and my wise girl is nowhere to be seen. I can't seem to find her anywhere. "ANNABETH!" I scream barely audible from the currents rushing. I start to swim up to surface, maybe she went up there. I come above water and see her, I feel a sudden urge of relief. I swim up to the shore.
"YOU ARE SUCH A KELP HEAD!" She yells at me.
"Why? What did I do? I heard my name so I looked back and responded!" Her grey eyes piercing my thoughts.
"No! Not that! Whenever you were talking to Kymopoleia you hit my bubble and caused me to lose my air source!" She slapped me in the face and turned away from me.
"Annabeth, don't worry we'll walk the rest of the way."
"Not necessary, we're here, there are some houses over there. I saw an old man playing with a 4 year old, maybe we can ask them for help." She starts walking before I comprehend what happened. I catch up to see the man and son, but the man looked familiar... way too familiar.
