"You nervous?" Bash asked as we walked up the stairs to Danielle's house.
"No," I said lying through my teeth. I was definitely nervous as fuck. Believe it or not I hated attention. Was never the type to want people in my business.
"What you want boy or girl?" Bash asked as we walked through the house going to the backyard.
"A boy. Chanel already giving me or girl." I said. As soon as we got outside all eyes were on us. "Kross! You're here!" Danielle yelled as I smiled nodding my head.
Saying hi to everyone, I had finally made my way over to where Danielle was standing with Emerald. "I ain't think you was gon show." Emerald said giving me a hug as I pulled back pushing my eyebrows together.
"Why would I not?" I asked.
"Ah, not today." Danielle said as Emerald rolled her eyes. I really ain't no what her issue was. Ever since we had that little lunch and she expressed she ain't like how I went missing, I've been coming around so I wasn't sure where this attitude was coming from.
"Can ya not kill each other, I'll be back." Danielle said as I nodded my head lookin at Emerald. Looking at her she looks good as fuck. You wouldn't even think she was six months pregnant. She had a belly but it wasn't huge, she was definitely carrying in her hips and ass. "You look beautiful." I told her while licking my lips.
"Nigga I always look good." She said causing me to laugh.
"Aweee look at the parents to be!" My mom said while walking over. "Hi ma." I said as she went over and gave Emerald a hug. "Gosh you look so pretty! Definitely have that pregnancy glow!" She told her as Emerald smiled. Letting them talk I left and went over to where Bash, Bag and baby was.

"Ugh let me go before I hurt someone." Vee mumbled while giving baby a kiss and walking away.
"She really don't fuck with you." Bash said laughing while holding his stomach. I really wasn't pressed. She was just being protective of Emerald which I get.
"My fault." Baby said apologizing while holding in his laugh.
"Man ain't no one worried bout her" I told him sitting down.

"Kross can you go get Emerald from the bathroom? It's time!" She said as I nodded my head. Standing up I went inside the house going to Emerald's old bedroom. Walking in I noticed the bathroom door was closed.
"Yo it's time." I said walking in the door catching Emerald crying. "What's wrong you good?" I asked closing the door behind me walking over to her.
"I don't want to know the gender yet." She cried as I looked at her confused. "What you mean?" I asked. I was totally lost considering she just had Danielle and Kim plan this shit within 24 hours.
"My mom and dad aren't here. They don't care so why should I?" She asked causing my to sigh and get quiet.
"They really didn't come." She said crying more. Clenching my jaw I pulled her into a hug. "Fuck them people." I told her as she cried harder in my chest. I really felt bad.
"My own mom and dad, though? This shit hurt. I ain't ever do nothing to them. Never gave them any problems. Did what I had to do. It's there grandchild!" She continued to say between cries. Pulling her face up I wiped her tears.
"I know this shit hurt but you gotta stop the crying and stressing over them people. This pregnancy already a high risk and that shit just adding to it. They not here fuck it. You got people out there who love and care bout you and this baby." I told her as she nodded her head.

"They either come around or they don't. It's their lost. I'm not about to sit here and have you mop around the next 3 months cause of them niggas. You nor this baby need them." I told her as she nodded her head. I really wished she stopped waiting for their stamp of approval.
"Wash ya face and shit." I told her leaving the bathroom going to sit on her bed. I really wanted to beat the shit out of Domo. He was a real life bitch in my eyes. I'll never understand the parents who treat they kid no good.
"I'm ready." I heard Emerald mumble. Standing up I grabbed her hands and we went downstairs.

"Ya good?" I heard Bash asked as I nodded my head.
"Okay so Dad it's not secret you like your guns, so this is what your gonna use." She said handing me a big ass paint gun.
"There's four paint balls inside, the last one is the gender. Your aiming at this white wall." She pointed towards a wall that had a sign saying "What's Mommy having?"
"Everyone back up so you won't get your clothes dirty." She said.
"Ready?" I asked Emerald as she nodded her head. Shooting the gun the first paint ball came out pink.
"Man keep firing! Don't Stop!" I heard. Nodding my head and did just as that as I watched the last three paint balls come out and everyone shouting!
"Damn 2 for 2." Bag said as I shook my head watching as all the ladies jumped up hugging Emerald.
"Sorry you didn't get what you wanted." Emerald said as I shook my head pulling her into a hug. "As long as I have a healthy baby I'm good." I told her truthfully. Placing my hand on her belly I bent down.
"Daddy bout to spoil you baby K." I said smirking looking up at Emerald. She had already decided the names, whether it was a boy or girl.
"Oh my gosh! Did you feel that?" She yelled as I nodded my head feeling the baby move. "I'm excited now!" She said cheesing as I shook my head. This pregnancy definitely had her emotions all of the place.

Hello ladies and gentlemen! Welcome to my first attempt at writing a novel. I am preparing to participate in the 2017 NaNoWriMo event so enjoy the first chapter as that's here early only to ensure that I have a place to post once the event starts. This means the first novel/book will have a target of 50,000 words. I'm excited to attempt this challenge despite the hurdles I will have to overcome. I do have a demanding full time job so planning time to write and make weekly releases starting in November will be my biggest challenge. Also, please accept my apologies on my cover. I'm not an artist and the only digital tool available at my disposal is the stock microsoft paint. So I did my best to create a decent cover as I did not want to steal the work of another. If there are those interested by the end of November in donating a new fan made cover then I will look into replacing the old cover.

[OLD] The Magus of Imminent Oblivion
AN: This is a pretty shitty novel, in case you haven't already guessed that by the rating. Check out the newer version that I'm writing, since it has more content written and higher quality (I hope). He was a nameless child born at the end of a great war. He gave himself a name, then worked his way to prosperity. He had a job, a wife, a daughter, and his future looked bright. But, then, things changed. His wife and daughter were dead, and a hundred bodies laid strewn across the floor. He couldn't continue to live; he pierced his body with his own sword. Awakening in a new world, his new body burned with an old fury. Where magic was common and power was cheap, he vowed to never let anything get the better of him.
