Wednesday wasn't much better than the day previous.

Melanie went looking for her money for the first time in a while. I meekly handed it over, expecting verbal abuse but she just left.

She was being weird.

I was eating my lunch in the bathroom stall when my phone buzzed.

I frowned. I didn't hear anyone come in.

I slowly stood up and unlocked the stall door. I heard a shuffle of footsteps and then, the slam of the bathroom door.

I re-locked, sighing and I sat back down, looking at my phone.
